A
B
Good
afternoon
my
name
is
tak
Gazette,
so
with
the
Department
of
Public
Works,
we're
here
to
report
to
you
that
recent
rains
pickling
heavy
rains,
an
African,
River
Basin
west
of
us
a
resulted
in
a
surgeon
for
Khun
rivers.
We're
now,
anticipating
that
that
River
will
keep
bill,
impress
16,
foot
4
inches
on
about
seven
eight
and
one
30.
B
At
this
point,
roads
that
have
been
closed
due
to
high
water
levels
on
the
Raccoon
are
the
George
flag,
Parkway
from
Southwest
30th
the
park
avenue
and
southwest
30th
from
bell
avenue
to
george
flank
parkway.
You
will
have
this
information
on
a
press
release.
We
have
for
you
here
after
the
meeting,
so
those
are
the
road
closures.
Now,
in
addition
to
that,
we
have
some
closures
related
to
our
parks
operations.
B
B
When
we
reach
16
four
on
the
floor,
dr
gage,
we
are
right
at
the
point
of
the
of
the
road
surface.
If
we
get
significantly
more
rain,
particularly
west
of
us,
we
could
get
a
second
crest
higher
than
16.
For
in
the
event
that
happens,
there
will
be
partial
or
total
closure
of
fluid
drive.
We
won't
know
that
for
probably
another
24
hours,
we
work
our
modeling
off
the
Corps
of
Engineers
here
and
go
by
their
reports.
It
will
need
another
24
hours
to
know.
B
What's
going
to
happen
in
the
event
that
we
do
get
enclosure
on
floor
drive
we'd
be
looking
at
detours.
Motorists
are
cautioned
to
look
for
those
detours,
but
you'll
basically
be
using
Martin
Luther
King
to
Southwest
seventh,
the
Thomas
Beck
road
at
the
bell
avenue
so
motors,
the
we'll
see
tho
those
detour
signs
and
should
follow
those
at
this
point.
I
want
to
share
some
specific
numbers.
We
have
on
the
on
the
direction
river.
It
is
currently
at
13,
foot,
35
inches,
so
13.35
inches.
B
B
We
also
have
river
levels
on
the
Des
Moines
up
a
little.
They
are
holding
back
at
Saylorville
now
taking
more
in
than
they're
letting
out
in
an
attempt
to
let
the
raccoon
pass
currently
at
our
southeast.
Sixth
Street
bridge
put
your
south
of
principal
park
there.
We
are
at
twenty
four
point,
five
four
feet
and
that
will
crest
at
twenty
six
point:
seven
feet
at
7pm
on
the
29th.
B
So
those
are
our
main
rivers
going
through
town.
At
this
point,
both
of
them
are
slightly
up
to
recruit
more
it's
more
unregulated.
We
see
it
cresting
at
16
for
at
7am
on
the
30th.
At
this
point
it
would
not
close
floor,
but
this
is
a
cautionary
note
that
that
may
happen,
then
the
additional
rain,
and
if
it
does
it,
will
be
detour
set
up.
B
C
Thank
you.
As
of
now,
due
to
the
recent
weather
and
road
closures,
the
principal
Charity
Classic

still
scheduled
and
will
be
completed
throughout
the
weekend.
We
have

tomorrow
and
thursday,
with
that
we
will
relocate
our
general
public
parking,
our
volunteer
parking
arcadi
parking
and
our
wauconda
club
parking
to
southridge
mall
at
1111,
East,
Army,
Post
Road.
If
you're
coming
into
the
event
from
I
235,
you
can
get
off
on
exit
9
and
head
south
to
southridge
mall.
C

you're
coming
in
from
highway

app

if
you
are
looking
for
any
updated
information,
you
can
go
to
those
locations
to
get
the
most
current
information
available
related
to
the
principal
Charity
Classic.
B
The
Department
of
Public
Works
will
continue
to
monitor
developing
conditions
here
over
the
next
48
hours
and
keep
you
informed
of
those
developments.
You
can
follow
us
on
the
Des
Moines
gov
org
website

have
a
quick
link
there
to
a
flood
update,
letting
you
know
river
levels,
what
roads
are
closed
and
any
cautionary
notes
that
are
there
all
right.
Thank
you
very
much.
We
appreciate
getting
this
word
out.
