a

we're

I
think

the
first
item
on
the
agenda
and,
if
anybody's
had
the
opportunity
to
look
through
that,
and
if
they
have
any
additional
comments
at
this
time

the

to
do

know
that
I'm
on
the

hoping

have
a
new
set
up,
and
so
I'll
just
check

I
All
right
I'm
going
to
go
fairly
quickly
through
these
because
we
did
go
through
them
with
it.
So
in
1981
that
was
when
the
English
first
bicycle
plan
was
developed
and
it
basically
featured
our
Dartmouth
and
Sherman
connecting
to
the
surrounding
cities.
You
may
notice
that
there
was
no
Mary
Carter
Greenway
at
that
time,
so
in
the
80s
and
90s
once
that
Mary
Carter
Greenway
was
constructed
the
folk.
The
rush
was
on
to
try
to
create
connections.
I
I
But
in
2011
and
12
we
we
got
a
great
opportunity
to
do
a
funding
grant
from
the
communities
putting
prevention
to
work.
This
was
sponsored
by
the
Centers
for
his
Disease
Control
and
Prevention,
and
it
was
theirs
aimed
at
fighting
obesity
and
we
received
75,000
for
consulting
and
75,000
for
improvements
such
as
bicycle
signage
and
some
bike
racks
that
we
were
placed
on
Broadway
and
we
were
able
to
add
15
point
seven
miles
to
our
original
11
miles
next
slide.
I
At
the
same
time,
there
were
we
had
a
number
of
other
projects
going.
We
had,
we
were
doing
a
new
comprehensive
plan
for
the
city.
We
were
also
doing
a
light
rail
corridor.
Next
step
study
in
in
as
a
second
phase
to
our
original
stationary
master
plan
and
then,
of
course,
we
had
the
Englewood
walking
wheel,
and
so
we
decided
that
it
would
be
very
confusing
for
the
public
to
have
these
three
plans
going
once
so.
We
combined
them
into
a
unified
planning
process,
which
we
called
Englewood
forward.
I
So
the
light
rail
corridor
next
step
study.
This
involves
transformative,
big-ticket,
pedestrian
and
bicycle
connections
that
cross
major
roadway
barriers
and
that
provide
more
direct
and
safer
connections
to
the
light
rail
resulting
in
new
opportunities
for
housing
and
office.
Redevelopments.
The
major
projects
that
are
featured
in
the
next
step
study
are
the
england
light
rail
trail.
I
It's
a
pedestrian
bicycle
trail
running
parallel
to
the
light
rail,
featuring
bridges
across
Dartmouth,
Hampton
and
Oxford
avenues
and
runs
from
the
big
Dry
Creek
trail,
all
the
way
north
to
beit's
Avenue
near
the
new
general
ironworks
development
and
then
an
English
station.
We
are
looking
to
build
at
the
England
station
Santa
Fe
Drive
pedestrian
bicycle
bridge
across
Santa
Fe
Drive,
on
the
picture
on
your
lower
left.
I
I
We
met
with
Cherry
Hills
city
manager
and
we
worked
out
a
deal
where
we
would
kind
of
pay
for
and
and
do
our
sides
of
the
street
cherry
hills
decided
to
do
it
on
their
own,
and
then
we
hired
some
base
to
our
side,
and
so
what
that
featured
was
new
signage
on
the
Cherry
Hill
side,
because
that
site
didn't
have
the
bicycle
science,
as
we
did
on
our
side
and
then
on
our
and
then
for
the
rest
of
Street.
We
would
we
did
the
share
of
markings
every
end
of
each
block
next
slide.
I
Dartmouth
Avenue
this
has
been
was
a
real
problem
street.
For
a
long
time,
we
had
a
lot
of
complaints
from
neighbors,
especially
east,
of
Broadway,
up
that
big
hill
that
complained
about
excessive
traffic
speeds
and
our
accidents
happening
particularly
at
night,
and
so
there
was
quite
an
up
and
cry
out
for
something
to
happen
there
and
so
our
solution.
Basically,
we
were
also
planning
this
bicycle
facility,
and
so
our
solution
is
to
was
to
narrow,
boat
travel
lanes
to
11
feet
and
create
this
shared
bicycle
parking
lane.
That
is,
it's
a
slightly
differs
turned
out.
I
The
actual
project
was
redesigned
a
little
bit
from
the
original,
from
some
of
the
recommendations
from
chuck
puffin
a
fine,
and
so
it
is
a
little
bit
different,
but
it
kind
of
shows
dashed
line
instead
of
the
solid
line
next
slide,
and
then
we
have
Oxford
Avenue,
which
is
just
getting
underway.
Today,
I
live
right
there
in
the
house
on
the
right.
So
today's
condition
this
is
a
very
wide
street.
On
West
Oxford
from
Broadway
to
Navajo,
it's
100
feet
wide.
It's
the
same
right
away
as
Broadway.
I
The
reason
for
that
was
that
there
was
once
a
trolley
service
from
Fort
Logan
to
downtown
Englewood
a
long
time
ago,
and
that's
why
it
was
so
wide.
It
features
today.
12-Foot
travel
lanes
and
a
12-foot
shared
bicycle
parking
Lane
and
our
our
new
treatment
will
instead
separate
those.
We
will
have
a
seven-foot
marked
parking,
Lane
and
six-foot
bicycle
lanes
and
11
foot
travel
lanes
and
then
east
of
Broadway
we've
the
street
narrows
quite
a
bit,
and
then
we
will
just
kind
of
have
a
neighborhood
sharrows
treatment
similar
to
Clarkson
next
slide.
I
Maybe
he
can
speak
a
little
bit
more
about
that
I've
since
I've
done
this
slide,
I've
kind
of
talked
more
with
guy
and
I
believe
some
of
these
intersections
I
have
wrong
allowed
each
area.
Broadway
are
look.
We
are
looking
at
those
but
I'm,
not
sure
about
the
ones
to
the
east.
They
there
might
be
a
little
different
if
guy
would
like
to
chime
in
I.
Would
let
him
at
this
point.

are
looking
at
implementing
division
to
make
floyd.
Basically,
the
vision
was
a
road
diet
and
protected
bike
lane
to
the
west
of
Broadway
and
what
would
best
be
described
as
a
as
a
as
a
neighborhood
bike
way
to
the
east
and
we're
still
working
on
that,
but
the
vision
might
be
changed
by
changing
like
we
might
actually
be
able
to
install
some
some
more
concrete
devices
which
would
really
really
help
with
actually
making
these
these
deployed
a
neighborhood
bike.

are
like
a
neighborhood
Street,
so
it
you
know
to
reduce
through
traffic
and
to
slow
speeds
down.
So
the
basically
this
concepts
of
what
these
roads
are
will
be.
Are
the
same.
It's
just
like
look.
We
may
be
able
to
put
some
traffic
comments
or
I
think
I'm,
trying
to
see
if
we
do
some
of
like
a
Sur
traffic
common
circle
that
Clarkson
and
some
curb
extensions
as
part
of
this
project
and
even
like
a
pedestrian
median
for
a
cross
in
there
Romans
park
so
to
slow
people
down
there.
There's
a
couple
of
features.

You
know
specifically
on
the
outside
of
the
park
to
kind
of
to
and
do
some
and
that
would
be
its
I
mean
it's
all
in
corporation
traffic
common
and
multimodal
in
some
bike
weights.
It's
they're,
really
the
same
treatment
so
as
John
says
we're
still
kind
of
refight
in
what
the
final
design
looks
like.
But
it's
basically
the
same
this
the
same
purpose
as
previously
determined.
I
So
what
are
we
looking
at
for
the
future
planning
efforts,
one
of
the
streets
that
really
excites
us
and
we
think
it's
pretty
important-
is
Sherman
Street.
This
is
a
key
north-south
route
that
parallels
Broadway
and
would
allow
people
to
come
downtown
really
easily.
So
we've
kind
of
thinking
kind
of
the
same
lines
as
what
guy
was
describing
for
Floyd
we're
thinking
about
how
Shirin
Street
might
be
a
potential
bicycle
bicycle,
Boulevard
and
I
have
a
couple
examples
that
we
have
in
Denver
that
are
doing
that.
I
They've
done
this
as
they've
done
it
on
South,
Knox
court
and
on
West
35th
Avenue,
and
what
they
do
is
on
the
far
left
photo.
You
know
they
have
this
signage
there
that
clearly
identifies
that.
This
is
a
neighborhood
bike
way
to
motorists,
and
here
on
the
middle
picture,
they've
done
some
bald
outs
and
some
pedestrian
crossing
work,
and
then
the
third
picture
is
where
they.
This
is
approaching
Alameda
Parkway
and
they
basically
have
narrowed
it
down,
so
that
cars
have
to
peel
off
and
can't
go
farther
on
that
street.
I
I
That
I
think
they're
kind
of
still
wanting
to
test
it
a
little
bit
for
they
spend
real
big
bucks.
So
they've
got
that
and
then
on
the
far
right
is
a
really
nifty
diverter
type
of
treatment
where
cars
can't
cut
through
Lobos
are
they
have
to
turn
left
or
right
and
that
kind
of
helps
with
the
traffic
flow
keeping
traffic
this
street
and
diverting
it
onto
a
more
more
larger
collector
Street
next
slide,
please
so
another
Street
that
we
are
excited
about
is
old,
Hampton
Avenue.
This
is
a
potentially
great
street
for
pedestrians
and
bicyclists.
I
I
It's
a
bit
more
complicated
in
some
ways
it
is
a
truck
route,
so
bicycle
lanes
are
probably
the
best
thing
that
we
can
do
here
and
it's
also
complicated
by
the
fact
that
it
runs
through
three
different
cities,
and
so
we
have
to
coordinate
with
Denver
and
the
city
of
Sheridan
as
well.

that
was

So
that's
where
we
are
right
now
today
and
I
would
I
guess
at
this
point.

I
made
a
nice
little
list

questions

not
a
whole
bunch,
but
a
few

workflow

we
kind
of
go
around

riff
off
each
other's
questions

sounds

so
the
the
Floyd
project
so
back,
let's
see
it
would
be

they're
talking

East
Floyd
on,
but
for
useful.

pretty
nicely

stuff
we

the
last
meeting
about
one
ways

restricting

turn
options
on
some

those
streets,
so
just
want

comment

nicely
I'm
also
kind
of
curious.
If
there's
been
any
more
progress
on
that,
but
we
can
talk
about
that

the
test
roundabouts,
that
Denver
has
I
think
that's
pretty
interesting
time.

neat
concept,
I'm
curious,

we

planning
on
trying
some

those
out

maybe
doing
some
in
addition
to
some
that,
we
already
had
in
mind
that
we
have
a
pretty
good
feeling
about
that.

comfortable
moving
forward
with

talked

some
roundabout
since
previous
meetings,
but
yet
the
test
ones
are
kind
of
interesting.

the
city
talked
a
whole
lot
about
that.

familiar

these
taught
at
these
types,
they've
even
been
like
putting
asphalt
in
the
middle
to
be
easy
to
remove,
but
still
be
more
a
little
more
sturdy.
But
no,
we
haven't
talked
about
it
yet

mean
there's,
they
still
actually
cost
a
bit
of
money
and
required
maintenance
in
in
design.
So
it
like
I,
actually
think
we're
we're.

John
showed
them
and
in
the
in
his
presentation,
we're
probably
the
most
likely
place,
we
would
start
doing
something
like
that
where,
because
you
know
Sherman,
it's
a
pretty
long
road
and
we
might
look
at
some.
We
probably
come
live
with
design
and
it
might
be
a
phase
design
where
we
install
some
signs
and
and
maybe
some
sharrows
and
then
and
then.

development
coming

goes

cities
I'm
just
kind
of
curious
on

timeline

that.

guys

had
conversations
with
the
other
municipalities
about
considering
the
development
and
who
would
be
sort
of
sharing,
you
know
the
the
cost
or
who
would
be
involved
in
doing
something
there.
You
know
it's,
it
seems
like
that
could
be
an
opportunity,
I'd
hate
for
us
to
wait
too
long
in
case
that
development
takes.

know
several
years
to
actually
happen
and
be
operational.
You
know
it
could
be
three
or
four
years
potentially
before
the
use.
Is
there
that
they're
expecting
from
that
development,
and
so
I
was
kind
of
curious.
If
there
was,
you
know
a
short
term
in
a
long
term
plan
or
what
the
stance
was
on,
that.
I
They
tell
us
that
that
particular
quarter
wasn't
really
a
really
high
one
on
their
list,
but
so
I
was
really
gone
on.
Since
then.
We
recently
guy
and
I
recently
collaborated
with
some
Denver
planners
on
June,
I
and
Lowell,
and
we
didn't
bring
this
up.
This
West
Dartmouth
up,
but
they're
really
I,
think
they're
really
really
busy
right
now.
So,
but
yes,
we
need
to
keep
probably
pestering
them
a
bit

my
last
comment
on
here
is
sort
of
a
general
comment
about
something
that
we've
talked
a
little
bit
about
in
the
community
before
not
extensively,
but
it
manifests
itself
in
a
couple.
Different
places
in
the
slideshow
first
place
was
on
slide
two
and
I'm
speaking
specifically
about
the
little
dry
creek
trail.
So
it's
on
slide
two
and
then
I
guess
slide
three
a
little
bit
kind
of
talks
about
it,
but
not
directly
and
I
guess
slide.

has
some
information
about
it,
but
the
connection
from
where
that
Mary
Carter
Greenway
sort
of
terminates
by
the
pond
by
Hampton
and
Broadway
the
connection
and
and
sort
of
the
the
signage
from
there
over
to
both
the
light
rail
and
then
down
to
the
south
by
River.
You
know
that
there's
that
massive
parking
lot
in
between
we've
brought
it
up
a
couple
times
before
I
didn't
see
anything
in
here
that
was
sort
of
addressing
a
way
to
connect
that
trail
that
goes
through
there.

yes,
I
believe
what
we
can't
address
this
some
of
these
things
in
some
simple
ways
early
and
the
way
we
may
be
able
to
do
that
is
that
there's
currently
right
going
on
is
a
down't
or
city
wide
wayfinding
and
placemaking
project

going
on.

we
would
hopefully
that's
something
that
would
be
important
because
right
now
correct
that
it
kind
of
dumped
you
off
at
that
Plaza
and
it
doesn't
it's
not
clear
where
how
to
or
where
to
go,
and
so
yes
I
think
in
the
short
term.

have
a
steering
committee
in
place
and
we've
kind
of
just
finished
up
a
draft
plan
and
we
will
be
taking
that
to
the
voters
in
the
fall
and,
if
that's
approved,
I
believe
this
will
become
a
very
important
priority
for
the
Downtown
Development
Authority,
and
we
have
done
some
preliminary
looking
at
possibility
of
making
creating
a
different
out
than
was
there
currently
today
and
so
I
think.
There's
opportunities
early
and
then
a
little
bit
later
on
as
well.

think
that
it's
well
done
and
informative
and
I
also
enjoyed
your
images
about
the
post
crash
and
the
reasons
why
and
so
forth.
But
my
question
is
of
everything
that
you've
listed
here.
Is
a
city
been
impacted
by
you
know
the
recent
kovat
and
all
that
with
budget?
Has
that
prolonged
some
of
the
planning
for
some
of
it
for
some
of
these
projects
in
the
future,
or
is
everything
kind
of
online,
as
was
previously.
I
Well,
so
the
Oxford
project
is
underway.
It's
going
to
happen
here
in
the
next
week
or
two
so
that
obviously
it's
not
affecting
that
I
believe
that
you
know
a
lot
of
times.
It
comes
down
to
finding
some
money,
so
the
like
the
Oxford
project
is
one
that
I
chase
for
from
dr.
cog
to
get
some
money
to
do
that.
One-
and
you
know
a
guy-
has-
was
successful
here
and
getting
quite
a
chunk
of
money
from
the
$0.08
program.
So
it's
yeah
a
lot
of
times.
I
It's
we
got
to
find
some
source
of
money
so
but
I
believe
you
that
this
has
become
a
more
important
program
within
the
city
as
well
and
I
believe,
there's
actually
now
a
pool
of
money
that
is
has
been
reserved,
I
think
for
these
types
of
projects,
and
maybe
guy
could
add
something
to
that.
Maybe
if

mean
nothing's
really
changed
yet

mean
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
its.
We
don't
really
know
exactly
when
we'll
be
able
to
find
all
the
funding.

we
actually

moving

faster
booked,

but

but
yeah
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
division
isn't
funded
yet
and
also
as
we
install
more.
The
maintenance
of
of
these
improvements
will
start
increasing
too.
So
that's
gonna
be
an
issue
so
especially
like.
As
you
know,
striping
does
not
last
that
long.

as
that
grows
and
the
more
money
will
need
to
be
contributed
just
to
maintain
what
we
have.
So
that's
why
we
need
to
kind
of
think
about.
You
know
whether
it's
bike
lanes
or
was
there
it's
a
neighborhood,
neighborhood
way
where
the,
where
we
use
more
permanent
solutions.
That
would
be
a
they
will
last
longer
and
that
yet
didn't
need
less
maintenance.
So
but
yeah
we
we
are
considering
all
that
and
obviously
it
is
likely
that
a
little
effort,
a
little
momentum
will
could
be
lost.

good
approach
to
try
to
you

try
to
supplement
whatever
revenue
is
coming
into
the
county
and
I
didn't
know
how
that
worked
in
terms
of
some
of
those
grants
or
funds
from
outside
sources
drying
up

encumbered
and
once
it's
there.

guys
got
it,
and
so
that
was
basically
my
question
on
that.

that
mayor
pro-tem
steerer
was
also
vocal
in
the
in
the
our
discussions
on
the
CIP
about
including
money
in
the
2021
budget
for
the
walk
and
wheel
plan
implementation.
So
the
budget
process
is
still
several
months
long,
but
he
moved
that
up
from
a
tier
2
priority
to
a
tier
1
priority,
and
that
seems
to
be
acceptable
to
both
the
Planning
and
Zoning
Commission
and
to
our
City
Council
at
large.

really
know
about
the
change
in
speed
there
and
then
the
the
question
that
I
had
was
about
there.
So
this
this
presentation
included
a
bunch
of
new
roundabouts
on
Floyd,
Avenue
and
I
was
just
curious.

there's
it's

thought
it
was
on
Dartmouth
that
Avenue
that
there
were
going
to
be
some
roundabouts,
that
we
had
had
looked
at
a
presentation
about
that.

little
while
ago,
and
so
I
just

ask
like
are
those
those
are
different
plans
or
modification

of
that
old
plan,
though.

received

we
received
money
to
actually
install
many
roundabouts
to
replace
the
signals
on
Dartmouth
and
we're
going

their
prop
process
safety,
money,
those
will
actually
replace
signals
and
they
will
function
as
roundabouts,

didn't
receive
the
money.
Now
we
have
to
go
through
a
you

a
public
outreach
process
and
start
with
the
design.

costs

installing

a
cost
estimate
before
he

Council

for
about
ten
weeks.

would
cost
about

information
shared
with
Council,
and
then
we
also
did
that
poll.

he
pulled
all
these
residents.

properties
adjacent
to
these
streets,

results

somewhat
mixed,

percent

favor
and

percent
were
against,

only
received
37

properties,

that
there

response

husband
and
wife,

many

the
comments
were

construction

zone
two

Oxford

we're
doing
a
slurry
seal
on
the
top.

turns

it's

very
micro
fine
about
a
3/8

inch
surfacing.

staff
did
all

crack
sealing
in
advance

that.

a
nice
smooth
surface

slurry
seal
goes

striping
go

we'll

on
street
bike
lanes
completed

the

involved
and

really

grading
the
alleys
to
create

drainage

occur,

really
adding

more
shaping

better

material
called
durablend
which
seals
the
surface
and
then
creates
less
washboarding
when
the
heavy
trucks
like
traffic
trash
trucks,
drive
down
the
road
or
excuse
me
down
the
alley,
and
it
also
prevents
a
lot
of
dust
from
occurring.
So
those
were
the
aspects
that
we
were
doing.

is
through
