idea
is
doing
to
increase
security,
so
brand
new
security
contract
starts
on
Saturday,
so
we'll
have
a
24
7
security
officer
on
premise.
Here,
they'll
be
doing
all
of
these
property
too,
so
it
extends
down
to
the
Walmart
area
rounds,
but
there'll
be
24
7.
Here
we
have
our
full-time
security
guard
as
well
on
the
library
which
is
I,
think
it's
all
significant
I,
don't
know
a
little
bit
better
another
first
name.
They
seem
to
respond
better
and
they
see
a
familiar
case.

saw
challenges.
We
won't
make
that
up
that's
happening,
but
during
the
week
we'll
also
have

roaming
security
guard
present
inside
the
building
that
will
come
through

library
multiple
times
throughout
the
day,
in
addition
to
our
full-time
security
guards,
so

think
the
individual
brought
up
some
great
points,
nothing
that
we
weren't
aware
of
and
we're
kind
of
trying
to
tackle
the
issues
as
they
pop
up.
There
is
no
one
solution
because
we
know,
like
the
homeless
population
lots
of
money
across

state
is
being
thrown
at
homelessness.

solve

think

ever
solve
it,
but
to
help
mitigate
it

get
people
the
resources

will
be
helpful,
knowing
that

Civic
Center
isn't
going

changing

library

look

other
options

we
do

resource
connects

patrons
of
all
walks
of

challenges

it's
not
technically

city
manager
we're
getting
quotes
right
now
to
actually
do

nice
looking
fence
on
both
sides
of
this
Breezeway
here

could
also,
especially
in
the
after
hours,

turn
people
from
sleeping
and
staying

this
area.
That's
been
a
big
challenge
with
staff
coming
in
early
mornings
and
then
they
tend
to.

it's
a
forward

practical

if

others

which
is
on
the
middle

city

changes

of
the
ways
that
this
space
can
be

not
activated
right.

it's

lot
of
vacant
space,

part
of
what
the
Eaglewood
Economic
Development
Downtown
Development
Association

an

department

bring
in
some
artists
into
your
studio
space,
and
you
can
activate
the
bank
of
space

will

help

make

vibrant

patients
about
experiencing
those

of
the

and
then

you're

aware

mentioned

space

would

morning

patron
came
in
and
said
you
didn't
want
to
come
inside,
because
there
was
somebody
standing
at
the
front
door,
barring
its
entry,
and
he
literally
had
to
get
him
to
move
out

way
to
get
in
and
then
he
felt
unsafe,
leaving
that
way
and
had
to
go
out
the
the
other
entrance.
You
know.
So
if
we
hear
things
like
that
anecdotally
repeatedly
and
we're
just
trying
to
figure
out
ways
to
kind
of
quantify
some
of
that
anecdotal
evidence,
I
mean.

Last
week
we
had
two
incidences
that
happened
right
after
Story
Time,
which
meant
there
was
a
lot
of
families
and
children
gathered,
so
people
escalating
and
yelling
at
staff.
So
what
started?
It
is
kind
of
small
things
that
ended
in
yelling
at
staff
members
and
actually
sounded
to
be
called,
and
so
what
you
just
always
see
to
happen
when
there's
so
many
families
going
around.
You
know
because
you
don't
know
if
it
impacts
their
decision
of
come
back.

that
to
me
so,
as
I
kind
of
alluded,
we've
been
one
of
the
main
things
that
we've
been
trying
to
do
is

I
know.

mentioned
has
probably
last
month
he's
trying
to
think

data
in
a
way
that's
more
helpful
and
I.
Think
Beth
is
doing
a
really
thoughtful
job
of
trying
to
not
just
give
you
all
a
list
of
numbers
and
kind
of
help.

all
see
it
in
a
real
persons,
so
I've
passed
out
a
few
things
that
I
wanted
to
show
you.

space
for
staff
input
comments
as
well,
so
we
started
doing
that
mid-september
and
we're
able
to
kind
of
we
had
the
goal
of
kind
of
fully
implementing
it,
October
1,
so
that
by
November
we
would
be
able

full
month

data.
So
I
gathered
a
little
bit
of
data
and
we
made
a
lot
of
changes
based
on
staff
feedback.
At
first
we
were
a
little
hesitant
to
roll
it
out
because
we
felt
like
we
would
be
giving
staff
one
more
thing
to
do.

In
the
guess,
but
it
was
actually
really
exciting
to
see
the
staff
feedback
we're
using
it
just
because
they
felt
a
sense
of
validation,
filling
it
out
just
because
it
was
able
they
were
able
to
explain
exactly
what
they
were
doing
at
the
best
each
day.
So
we've
actually
had
an
overwhelmingly
positive
thoughts
from
staff
who
are
using
it
and
and
I
mean
even
as
supervisors.

use
it
at
the
guts
each
day,
so
kind
of
like
I,
wanted
to
kind
of
I
know
that
y'all
are
used
to
saying
things
like
this,
and
so
Beth
wanted
to
kind
of
let
you
know
that
for
the
first
month
or
for

first
half
of
half
of
the
month,
I
guess
when
you
look
at
like,
for
instance,
the
big
changes
are
going
to
come
when
it
comes
to
Counting
things
such
as
I'm
trying
to
find
the
exact
point.
It
is
it's
basically
like
visitors
and
interactions.

previously,
we've
used
a
door
counter,
so
that
counts
when
people
come
in
and
out
well,
as
Beth
and
I
were
taking
a
harder
to
look
at
it.
We
realized
that
we've
been
giving
you
on
the
number
and
y'all
maybe

receiving
the
number
forever
as
a
big
one
number
when
those
are
counting
ins
and
outs.

were

they

only

Patron

it's

their
new
library

see
what
items
maybe
needed,
renewed
or
putting
books
on
hold.

guess
one
question
that
we
Beth
and
I
had
for
you
is:
what
are
the
things
that
y'all
are
most
curious
to
see
as
we
prepare
and
gather
this
information
for
next
month,
because
things
that
are
interesting
to
us
here
might
not

same
thing

you
all
want
to
see,
and
so
that's
one
piece
of
feedback
that
we're
looking
for
from
y'all
is
what
are
your
most
curious
about?

the

of
that
is
like
we
have
to
patronize
this
to
call
9-1-1,
but
it's
not
necessarily
a
formal
nobody's,
getting
excluded
or
turned
out,
or
there
were
a
couple
of
incidents
where
patrons
thought,
some
of
their
belongings,
stolen
and
yeah,
but
that's
something
that
we're
also
going
to
include.
What's
new
but
I'll,
let
y'all
kind
of
ponder
and
let
me
know
and
I
will
pass
along
spec,
and
this
is
something
she
and
I
have
been
working
on
closely.

extent
that

areas

patrons

think

helpful

a
basic
numerical

when
I
read
a
survey?

would
look
at
the
numbers
for
one
year
and
maybe
try
to
find
the
comments

in
a
hope,
too,
that,
instead
of
patrons
just
coming
to
us
to
maybe
complain
about
something,
that's
going
on,
is
just
encouraging
them
to
write
it
down,
because
even
today
a
patron
came
in,
he
was
upset
about
something

was
happening
outside
of
the
building.
I
said
well
can't
in
the
library
really
help
you
with
that.
But
if
you,
the
city,
is
the
one
who
wants
to
know
what's
going
on,
and
so
the
best
thing
you
can
do
is
sitting
them,
not
even
just
us.

so
the
only
two
of
Tweets

current
Library
hours
and
services.
So
a
lot
of
this
data
collection
stuff
would
evacuate

we're
trying
to
do
with
this
and
I
I
know
that
Ben's
probably
alluded
it
to
it
before,
but
we
are
trying
to
figure
out
hours
of
service
compared
to
what
we
actually
can't
staff,
especially
one
of
the
biggest
concerns.
This
is
kind
of
like
my
spoiler.
For
next
time
is
we
have

Associates
that
were
allotted
that
do
all
of
our
front
desk
work
and
they
can
they're
hired
at
20
hours
per
week,
which
is
200
grandparent
hours.
Well,
if
you
look
at
our
guest
schedule-
and
you
look
at
our
hours
of
operation,
we
need
about
260
hours
of
Manpower,
so
even
in
a
best
case
scenario
with
everybody
here,
I
mean
just
that
very
first
number
becomes
a
possible
to
me
and
I'll
talk
way
more
about
that
next
month.

But
that's
that's
one
of
the
reasons
we're
trying
to
get
a
feel
for
what
the
actual
Library
looks
at
like
during
the
day.
You
know
certain
times
of
the
day
certain
times
of
the
week,
so
that
we
can
figure
out
how
best
to
meet
slight
city.
Just
because,
given
the
operating
budget,
we
have,
we
have
to
kind
of
figure
out
how
to
best
provide
services
so
that
that's
the
big
September
update
is
just
implementing
all
of
this
and
trying
to
gather
that
beta
and
then
there
was
also
an
update
under
Children's
Services.

letting
y'all
know
about
the
current
things
that
were
getting
wrapped
up
wrapped
up
story
time
in
the
Park
series,
with
an
average
attendance
of
300,
including
adults
and
children.
One
of
the
new
programs,
which
my
one
of
my
daughters
is
actually
part
of
the
early
Reader
book
club,
which
is
really
neat
kind
of
geared
towards
the
pre-tween
phase,
so
a
little
bit
too
little
for
the
preschool
stuff
for
your
time
at
Phoenix,
okay,
which
is
really
fun
doing
some
of
our
passive
programs
that
are
going
on
and
I
guess.

the
actual
benefits
cut
off
is
29,
but
the
way
that
we're
allotted
budget
money
to
pay
staff
we're
only
allotted
money
to
pay
for
20
hours
a
week,
so
they
can
in
theory,
work
up
to
29,

they

so,

would
run
out
of
personnel
money
by
the
end
of
the
year.
So
that's
the
struggle
that
we're
kind
of
running
into
this
stuff
would
work
more
and
we
would
need
them
to
work
more,
but
just
with
our
pots
of
money,
it
would
run
out
by
the
end
of
the
year.

that's
those
are
all
things
that
I'm
going
to
talk
about
a
lot
and
we
have
requested
two
full-time
positions
for
next
year's
budget,
but
do
the
inflationary
costs
and
a
whole
lot
of
other
things
going
on
I'm
really
no
position
for
it
funded
so
working
class
yeah
and
that's
the
struggle.
We're
kind
of
running
into
is
like
we
wonder
if
2023
might
have
to
be
kind
of
a
rebuilding
year
and
Seth
kind
of.

this
really
intensive
green
look
at
things
to
try
and
get
things
organized
for
a
new
budget
year,
just
because
everything
was
kind
of
set
in
motion
before
she
got
here,
and
so
those
are.
The
things
we're
trying
to
figure
out
is
how

best
staff
and
provide
services
for
the
library,
given
the
constraints
that
we
do
for
the
next
year,
they're.

opening

just

possibly
not
be

how
many
people

coming
in.

that's
just
high
level.
It's
very
the
high
level
conversation
that
Beth
and
I
have
had,
but
something
to
think
about
for
next
year's
budget
and
and
the
needs
and
as
we
see,
security
issues
continue.

only
have

seven
staff.

what
we
do

funny,

that's

they've
kept
the
ship
afloat
thus
far
is
kind
of
banking
on
people
leaving
and
being
able
to
shift
those
hours
which
I
think
is

Beth
is
understandably
frustrated
because
it's
kind
of
banking
on
the
fact
that
people
quit
and
then
you
can't
resign
their
hours,
which
is
not
very
good
of
a
long
term
push
and
it's
been
consistent,
I
think
it
was
three
years
in
the
morning.

it's
security
related
reasons,
you
want
to
know
that
you
know
if
they
don't
feel
safe
coming
to
work.
You

and
so
I
know,
she's
been
talking
to
each
person
say:
they're
resigning,
they're
going
somewhere
else,
a

blood

full-time
jobs
which
are
very
happy
for
them.
For
that
said,
the
reason
but
proud
that
they're
we've
trained
them
well.

Full-Time
Library
positions
are
generally
fairly
competitive,
just
because
you
have
to
have
the
MLS
to
do
it
and
then
sometimes
it's
hard
to
get
in.
If
you
don't
want
any
previous
Library
experience.
So
that
is
the
one
thing
about
having
a
part-time
Staffing
models
against
a
lot
of
especially
Library
students,
the
chance
to
gain
experience,
so
they
might
not
be
able
to
gain
elsewhere,
but
it
does
mean
that
we,
if
we
depend
on
students,
then
there's
just
such
a
high
rate.

know
her
just
because
they're
not
going
to
sleep.

considered
a
pipeline
directly,
I
mean
honestly
that's
how
I
started
working
years,
because
I
was
actually
doing
Library
School
in
North
Carolina,
but
I
was
doing
my
internship
at
du
and
I
needed
Public
Library
internship
hours

well

kind
of
an
internship,
was
then
able
to
develop
into
a
part-time
job,
which
we
announce,
full-time
job,
which
is
an
exciting
so
but
I
don't
think
it's
normalized.

being
a
standalone
Library,
we
don't
always,
you
know
a
lot
of
times,
you're
applying
to
a
billion
places
and
because
we're
just
one
Library,
it
seems
a
lot
more
efficient,
throw
your
name
in
a
hat

bigger
library
system,

they
have
more
jobs
open
and
available.
But
at
the
same
time
it
does
feel
like
constantly
environment.

year
we
passed
it

first
reading
and

awareness

this
group
about
how
the
decision
making
process
away
with
some
of
those
requests
is
out
of

gosh,

honest

million
dollar
operating
budget,
we
experienced
at
least
one
million
plus
just
infliction,
which
is
gone
right
and
looking
at
Capital
needs
of
the
city.
You
know
safety
needs
in
the
city.

actually
ended
up
the
only
reason
our
response,
the
budget,
so
that's
not
a
base
where
you
want
to
be
key
and
Christina's
right.

little
stuck
were,
and
so
we're
calling
you
where
we're
at
we're
acknowledging
where
economy
is
at
work,
study
that
and
we'd
love
to
find
three
things
some
of
the
top
calls.

One
is
a
small
they're,
both
small
sales
tax
increases.
One
of
them
will
be
to
find
our
alternative
police
officers.
So,
as
we
talked
about
tonight,
we
are
going
to
second
I,
think
the
third
biggest
penalty
in
the
entire
state
to
have
a
mental
health,
Global
Response
student
who's
going
out
and
working
with
our
systems
who
are
experiencing
mental
health
challenges
in
the
Canadians
health
and
safety
challenges.
It's
our
co-responder
program.

And
Cultural
Arts
staff,
one
Parks
and
Rec-
has
two
that
are
all
vacant
and
we've
had
a
hard
time
recruiting
and
people
to
serve
on
their
questions
and
we've
also
hundred
percent
on
people
that
it's
challenging.
I
may
be
a
little
intimidating
to
serve
on
a
commission
with
adults
right
and
we
participate.com
using
the
community
about
what.

If
there
was
a
commission
just
for
young
people
and
what
would
it
look
like
for
them
to
advise
the
city
on
issues
with,
and
so
that's
a
commission
that
will
be
telling
me
that
you
want
to
Pilot
and
see.
Is
there
appetite
here?
We
want
to
go
to
sleep
with
Channel
conversation,
we'll
continue
to
work
with
others
on
how
that
can
happen,
but
I
think
that
the
library
is
also
a
really
natural
tie-in
for
that
kind
of
program
right.

use
this

one
of
the
areas
where
folks
can
connect
right
and
learn
about
the
application
that
it
can
take
and
again
for
me,
how
do
we
engage
young
people
in
a
Civic
processation
of
how
they

really
change
