All

it's
an
honor

we

bit

able
to
go
ahead
and
put
together
some
figures
and
stuff

you.
First
of
all,
this
year
was
a
big
challenge,
opening
up,
as
we
were
in
the
cove
at
19,
in
the
middle
of
a
pandemic
that
in
the
17
years
of
operation
of
pirates
cove
that
never
had
the
opportunity
to
do
that
and
never
thought.

would
have
that
opportunity,
but
things
worked
out
pretty
good.
We
crunched
numbers
pretty
good
and
probably
the
biggest
thing
that
I
decided
to
do
with
christina's
help
and
stuff
was
we
decided
to
go
for
three
two
hour
sessions
and
the
reason
we
decided
I
decided
to
do
that
was
in
order
to
make
it
somewhat
fiscally
responsible
and
to
make
some
revenue
and
stuff
in
that.

That
was
about
the
only
way
that
I
could
figure
out
how
we
could
do
those
things
so
ended
up
being
that
we
had
66
operational
days
instead
of
opening
on
memorial
day
weekend.
That
was
detained
because
of
tri-county
health
department.
It
was
detained
until
june
19th
when
we
were
able
to
open
up
with
that
one.
So
that
gave
us
66
days.

The
nice
thing
out
that
one
five
of
those
days
we
were
able
to
extend
the
season
a
week,
because
normally
we
go
to
a
weekend
only
after
the
second
week
of
august,
because
all
the
kids
go
back
to
school.
All
the
help
does
so.
We
cannot
operate
the
park
safety
with
that
one.
So,
with
kovit,
the
the
school
districts
were
still
trying
to
work
out
how
they
were
gonna
deal
with
covet,
so
they
delayed
school
roping.

So
that
gave
us
an
opportunity
to
open
up
for
another
monday
through
friday
and
stuff
so
that
helped
us
out
a
great
deal.
Also
so
operationally
66
days,
we
were
actually
able
to
run
all
66
days.
There
was
two
days
there
that
there
was
a
sessions
that
was
cancelled
due
to
rain
that
was
early
early
on
and
because
it
was
one
of
the
hottest
summers
that
we've
ever
had
on
record
and
stuff.

So
I
wish
we
would
have
opened
up
normally
because
we
would
have
a
record
banner
year
with
that
one,
but
we
see
we
took
what
we
could
get
with
66
days,
really
the
the
numbers
that
came
in
I'll
kind
of
compare
what
we
had
last
or
two,
and
if
you
remember
that
last
year
was
not
a
very
good
year
for
us
at
all,
because
the
weather
didn't
cooperate
with
us,
especially
the
month
of
june.
It
was
cool
and
rainy
the
whole
time,
but
for
2020.

So
this
year
we
had
right
around
41,
000
guests
that
entered
the
facility.
Last
year
in
2019
there
were
78
683
guests.
So
really
we
were
about
half
of
what
we
were
last
year.
The
other
thing
is
gate
revenues.
Gate
revenues
came
in
at
524
000
last
year
it
came
in
at
876
000.
So
really
we
weren't
that
far
off,
but
the
problem
that
we
had
with
kovit
is
we
did
we're
hit
a
little
bit
in
some
of
the
other
revenue
areas.
Concession
revenue
this
year
was
about
50

The
whole
thing
about
that
is
classes,
youth,
learn
to
swim
classes
in
our
deep
water
exercise
classes.
We
had
to
cancel
those
because
of
social
distancing.
We
just
didn't
have
the
time
to
put
those
together
in

shortened
season,

we
didn't
feel
that
we
could
do
that
safely,
so
that
took
a
hit
with
that
one
also
cabana
rentals
because
of
social
distancing.

We
didn't
have
cabana
rentals
and
then
also
lockers
lockers
actually
put
pretty
good
little
revenue
stream
for
us
too,
but
because
of
all
the
standards
that
were
out
there
too,
we
were
unable
to
have
lots
of
revenues
too.
So
the
bottom
line
is
we.
When
everything
is
said
and
done,
we'll
be
right
about
600
000
in
revenue
and
in
2019
we
were
at
1.2
million
dollars
so
once
again
just
about
half
as
what
we
have.

there
was
another
bright
spot
that
we
had
at
the
facility
this
year
is
we
were
able
to
go
in
and
because
of
the
delayed
opening
a
little
bit,
we
went
ahead
and
we
replaced
the
spray
ground
features
it.
The
old
one
was
aging
the
pieces
were
kind
of
outdated.
We
were
having
some
struggles
operating
it,
so
we
were
able
to
totally
go
in
there
and
totally
come
up
with
a
new
piece
and
now
that
all
came
from
the
ctf
funds,
the
conservation
trust
fund.

And
you
reported
you
reported
on
food
costs
and
payroll,
which
I
mean
it's
fantastic,
that
you
were
able
to
operate
this
summer
and
employ
all
these
kids.
I
have
a
good
friend
who's,
whose
daughter,
I
think,
worked
her
first
summer
job
for
you
guys
it
was
a
great
experience
for
her
and
I
think
that's
really
important.
It's
actually
a
it's
almost
like
another
service
to
the
community,
besides
being
able
to
go
and
play
there,
but
there
still
are
operating
cost
issues.

Yeah,
as
far
as
as
far
as
that
goes,
we
did
cover
all
the
costs
for
all
the
seasonal
staff.
That
was
there
for
the
full-time
staff.
There's
three
full-time
staff
members
that
those
expenses
come
out
of
the
the
budget
myself
aquatics
coordinator
and
the
maintenance
one.
So
those
are
those
weren't
covered
with
the
total
revenue
and
stuff
coming
out
there.
So
there
are
some
costs
that
weren't
covered
with
the
revenue
that
we
had.

it
was
kind
of
it
was
nice
for
the
community,
and
that's
what
one
thing
that
I
was
my
goal
was
when
all
this
was
happening
in
march.

I
told
staff
I
said
we're
opening.
You

I

go

mindset
that
get
the
park
prepared,
let's
open
up,
so
that
the
citizens
of
englewood
have
they
have
a
place
to
come
to
and
that
they
can

that,
because
a
lot
of
the
other
water
parks
that
they
didn't
do

we're.

Basically,
the
the
third
largest
water
park
in
in
colorado
behind
water
world,
who
was
unable
to
open
and
also
elich's,
was
unable
to
open
too
and
then
foothills
parks
and
rec
district
has
two
small
ones.
They
were
unable
to
open
cummer
city
couldn't
open
theirs.
Brighton
could
not
also
open
those
parker
got
to
open
up
theirs
too.

The
one
thing
that
was
reassuring
that
when
we
got
to
open,
was
the
guests
coming
into
the
park,
the
guests
coming
in
the
park.
They
they
were
so
grateful,
and
I
heard
numerous
times
throughout
the
whole
year,
we're
so
glad
that
you're
open.
Thank

for
being
open,
and
that
was
something
that
was
really
nice.
The
other
thing
is
they
loved
it,
because
there
was
only
250
people.

overtime

at
the
golf
course
they've
been
very
busy,
so
it's
kind
of
a
fun
report
to
give
you
given
coveted
circumstances
and
all
the
restrictions
that
we've
had
and
the
fact
that
rocket
t
was
closed
for
a
number
of
days.
While
coped
was
kicking
off
and
everybody
was
trying
to
figure
out
what
to
do
so.
We
had
a
revenue
loss
just
starting
the
season
off,
which
was
tough
but
I'll.
Just
give
a
brief
overview
of
the
summer
budget.

So
june
july
and
august
we
originally
started
our
june
revenue
15
down
and
each
month
we've
been
shipping
away
at
that
which
has
been
exciting.
So
in
june
we
brought
in
320
000
dollars
revenue
to
the
course
july.
We
dropped
down
to
eleven
percent
versus
the
fifteen,
which
was
nice.
We
had
a
record
july
at
three
hundred
and
forty
thousand
dollars
the
the
year
prior
in
2019.
It
was
only
333
000
brought
in
and
the
most
exciting
piece
is
this.

Last
august,
as
you
know,
the
weather
held
out
for
us
we're
only
six
percent
down
now
and
we
broke
records.
So
the
highest
we've
ever
brought
in
highest
revenue
was
three
hundred
and
six
thousand
dollars
and
in
august
broken
t
brought
in
360
000.
So
it's
the
highest
on
record
for
revenue,
which
is
it's
quite
exciting.
Considering
the
challenges
with
kovid
and
golf,
I
think,
is
picking
up
across
not
only
the
state
of
colorado
but
the
nation
as
a
chosen
sport.

was
talking
to
somebody
and
like
pga
the
store
that
sells
golf
clubs
or
selling
out
of
their
clubs
like
they're
back,
ordered
six
weeks
to
get
new
clubs,
so
golf
was
actually
a
downward
trend.
That's
why
you
started
seeing
different
uses
of
golf
course,
like
special
events,
concerts
being
held
or
foot
golf
shorter,
golf
game.

You
know
with
the
par
3
course
and
and
other
things
going
on,
and
I
think
copen
maybe
is
saving
golf
and
the
golf
was
one
of
the
first
ones
to
return
to
tv
too,
so
good
for
broken
t,
the
staff
have
done
an
amazing
job
over
the
summer,
it's
been
a
hard
summer
for
all
of
them,
we're
losing
a
lot
of
seasonal
staff
over
there
and
getting
ready
for
the
fall
season.
So
this
this
no
snap
that
we
just
had
at
the
beginning
of
this
week
was
very
odd.

was
the
first
time
since
we
reopened
that
we
had
to
close
the
course
due
to
snow
or
heavy
rain,
so
we've
had
a
good
summer
over
there.
It's
been
a
it's
been
good.
So
with
that
be
happy
to
answer,
any
questions

broken
tea
and
davis
is
also
on
the
call,
and
he
oversees
the
golf
course
as
well.

there's

we

didn't
hire
for
bob's
specific
position.
We
promoted
shannon
bushio
over
there
to
oversee
the
golf
operations,
and
then
we
have
a
golf
maintenance,
superintendent
as
well,
and
so
those
two
are
taking
the
the
reigns
and
overseeing
the
course
now.
Shannon's
doing
an
amazing
job,
she's
been
there
many
years
and
has
stepped
up
to
the
task
to
oversee
the
operations.

Yeah,
so
I
want
to
give
a
just
a
brief
overview
on
next
steps.
We
have
hired
a
mediator.
The
city
has
procured
a
mediator
not
only
for
just
this
particular
topic,
but
something
that
residents
can
be
can
use
and
no
cost
to
them
for
potential
neighbor
situations
they
may
have
so
we'll
be
the
first
ones
to
try
out
this
mediator.
I've
spoken
with
him
on
the
phone
excellent
guy.

He
made
a
comment
about
if
you
can't
like,
especially
when
his
neighbor
to
neighbor,
trying
to
mediate
some
issue,
they
may
have
you
can't
fix
it
fix
it
in
an
hour.
You
can't
fix
it.
That
was
his
comments.
I'm
like
all
right,
so
we're
gonna
take
more
than
one
hour
with
this
topic
because
there's
a
lot
to
cover,
but
on
the
on
the
committee
we
have
so
far
and
I'm
gonna
add
one
more
inglewood
unleashed
is
involved.

have
the
parks
and
recreation
commission
members
from
the
off
leash
task
force
and
then
we're
going
to
be
adding
monica
johnson,
who
is
also
on
this
commission,
but
also
on
the
code
enforcement
commission,
and
then
staff
will
also
be
present,
answer
questions
and
provide
info
when
needed.
These
are
going
to
be
held
on
zoom,
so
it's
going
to
be
online
and
hopefully
the
attendance
will
be
better
versus
in
person
still
with
kobe
going
on.
I
think
it's
the
safest
way
to
do
this,
we'll
be
meeting
tuesday
evenings
right
now.

really,
the
goal
is
to
find
a
solution
to
the
off
leash
issues
that
we've
been
having
and
the
conflicts
have
been
that
have
been
in
place
for
very
many
years
now
and
bring
it
back
to
council
mid-november
to
december
time
frame.

recommendations
and
we'll
see
how
the
task
force
goes
and
what
comes
about
it
may
be
an
a
la
carte
menu.

budget
reports
to
council,
but
overall
we
have

shortfall
for
the
city
budget
of
3.4
million
dollars.
City
staff
have
identified
1.72
million
in
cuts
that
we
can
make
a
lot
is
personnel.
We
have
some
health
insurance
cuts
that
the
city
was
able
to
negotiate.

The
furlough
days
may
be
reduced
depending
on
how
the
budget
rolls
out
and
pans
out
over
the
months,
depending
on
how
revenues
come
in
and
how
we
do
so
they
may
reduce
their
furlough,
but
for
now
we're
planning
on
for
furlough
days.
What's
still
in
the
budget
is
the
park
ranger
position,
which
is
great?
I
think
code
enforcement
needs
all
the
help
they
can
get
the
park.

Ranger
position
will
not
be
based
out
of
parks
due
to
some
legality
with
being
able
to
write
citations
and
such,
and
so
it's
actually
going
to
fall
under
code,
enforcement's
purview,
but
obviously
parks
like
dave
lee
will
work
very
closely
with
this
individual
to
ensure
park
safety
and
that
rules
are
being
followed
and
all
of
that,
so
it's
a
good
benefit
for
the
city
to
have
as
far
as
cuts.
What
has
been
cut
out
of
the
budget
that
we
had
proposed
the
planet
geo
software
for
our
parks
division
to
help
with
efficiencies.

and
then
also
memberships
and
dues
that
we
typically
pay
for
annually
have
been
reduced
some.
So
we
may
have
some
not
we'll
we'll
see
how
that
impacts,
but
that's
a
2100
cut
and
then
the
reduction
of
the
flower
pots
on
broadway.
That
program,
where
we
maintain
the
flowers
throughout
the
spring
and
summer
months
into
the
fall,
will
be
reduced.

to
do
all
the

contractor
to

a
bit
out
of
our
budget.

knew.

were
short
on
revenue
this
year
with
covet
and
it's
very
unpredictable.
What's
going
to
happen
for
next
year

staff

amazing
job,
dissecting
their
budgets
and
and
making
cuts
here
and
there
to
reduce
the
budget.

But
it's
exciting
to
see
that
that
phase
one
could
be
completed
fully
and
then
it'd
be
ready
for
phase
two
to
actually
add
the
fun
elements
that
would
attract
individuals
to
come
down
to
that
area
and
bring
it
back
to
life
again.
What's
also
on
the
table,
is
our
parking
lot
asphalt?
That's
60
thousand
dollars
annually
that
may
or
may
not
go
through
with
council
and
then
also
there's
some
park
renovations
that
they
may
decide
to
use
the
unassigned
fund
balance
from
and
that's
going
to
be
presented
to
council
on
september
21st.

All
need
updates,
but
anyways.
It's
like
360
000
that
could
update
the
irrigation
systems
and
when
we
look
at
going
out
for
bonds,
irrigation
systems
are
not
that
attractive
for
voters
to
pass.
It's
a
need,
it
will
be
in
the
bonds.
But
ultimately
you
know
playgrounds
and
skate
parks
and
picnic,
shelters
and
so
forth
are
the
attractive
pieces
that
you
see,
and
so
that's
what
would
go
on
the
bond.

we
have
some
exciting
opportunities.

budget

literally
like
nothing
left.
The
last
time
that
you
came
to
us
was
it
was
like
it
definitely
made
a
statement.

appreciate

hard

take

figure

cost
to
irrigate
those
flower
pots?

just
seems,
like

as
a
long-term
thing,

idea

piping
to

opposed
to
paying
a
contractor
to
drive
around

water

we
can

wouldn't
be
worth

irrigation

trailer

week
to
water
those
trees,
because
the
irrigation
system
isn't
whole

and

christina

we
don't

valves

things
would

do

knowledge

annual

there

my
grandson.
I
try
and
take
him
to
a
different
park
whenever
I'm
out
with
him
and
there's
a
gentleman
that
is
sitting
there
talking
to
a
younger
guy,
certainly
younger
than
me.
He

telling

nice
that
basketball
court
was,
and
he
had
been
telling
his
friends
when
we're
out
looking
for
a
basketball
court.

a
thousand
yards

park
and
walk
through
there
pretty
regularly.

there's
a

a
printed
sign
over
there
on
some
of
the
kind
of
fencing,
the
temporary
fencing
on
the
area.

a

something
wrong
on
the

don't
remember

it

reopened

areas

very
clearly
under
construction,

All

say
is
brad
did
an
awesome
job
this
summer
with
pirates
codes
and,
as
you
can
tell,
I
think
we
originally
presented
the
council
of
51
000
loss
for
the
season
overall,
and
that
did
not
happen
so
him
and
his
staff
did
an
amazing
job
of
keeping
it
safe
and
open
and
doing
very
well.

brad
and
his
crew,

flower

pulse
on
public
works,
to
see
if
they're
going
to
be
doing
any
sidewalk
or
street
or
crosswalk
replacements
so
that
we
could
tie
into
a
tap
there.
Perhaps

mean
I
don't
know
where
the
taps
are,
but
I
certainly
know
that
denver
water
gives
denver
a
big
discount
on
tap
rather
than
a
private
sector,
so
maybe
there's
an
opportunity
to
tie
in
somewhere.

playground
at
maddox
is
open
and
I
know
they're
really
excited
about
it.

district

it
does
look
really
nice.
