A
I'm
having
city
manager,
Wally
Bob
coats
and
welcome
to
this
edition
of
Evanston
spotlight,
where
we
highlight
issues
before
the
Evanston
City
Council,
on
their
upcoming
agenda
and
with
the
Memorial
Day
holiday
this
coming
week,
councils
meeting
on
Tuesday
May,
the
28th
and
one
of
the
issues
on
the
council
agenda
is
our
annual
we're
out
walking
campaign
and
with
me
today
is
Ike
bow
our
interim
director
of
Health
and
Human
Services
Ike
welcome.
Thank
you.
So
tell
us
a
little
bit
about
wow.
It
was
women
out
walking
for
a
long
time.
B
Women
are
walking
was
a
program
that
pertained
to
primarily
to
women
about
ten
years
ago.
We
wanted
to
it
to
be
more
inclusive,
and
now
we
are
encouraging
everyone
to
participate.
It
was
called
Wow
women
out,
walking
out
we're
calling
it
we
out
walking
we're
still
wow,
it's
still
watch
in
this
case
everyone
is
invited
men,
women,
everyone
is
invited.
We
are
encouraging
everyone
to
participate
in
this
event,
where
you
know
what
we're
doing
is
we
encourage
in
physical
activity,
health
promotions?
B
B
A
12-week
program
where
we
have
activities
that
range
from
group
works
to
nutrition
to
fitness
and
health
classes.
So
it's
it's
a
great
event
and
what
we're
trying
to
do
is
prevent
conditions
that
result
due
to
inactivity
so
with
this
and
also
encourage
a
sense
of
community
as
well,
where
people
gather
make
friends
and,
at
the
same
time,
exercise
and
walk
and
reduce
all
those
conditions
that
are
associated
with
an
inactivity
which
can
be
cardiovascular
diseases
and
all
the
conditions
are
associated
with
being
inactive.
So
how
many
years
have
we
done.
B
So
this
will
be
our
twelfth
year.
We
are
really
really
excited
about
it.
We
are
encouraging
everyone
to
be
part
of
it.
The
kickoff
is
going
to
be
at
ETA
chess
on
June,
the
15th
from
10:00
a.m.
1
p.m.
so
we
are
encouraging
everyone.
There
cost
to
participate,
there's
a
$5
fee
to
register
and
you
can
register
online
and
our
website.
