Mark
munzer
department
director
community
development:
this
is
an
ongoing
plan
that
needs
an
extension
by
three
months.
It's
a
plan
for
the
main
street
station
area,
the
area
around
the
the
CTA
in
the
metro
station,
and
it
will
provide
the
city
with
recommendations
about
how
to
connect
those
two
stations
and
also
make
improvements
to
the
streetscape
to
the
park
around
the
area
addressing
the
market.
That's
there
right
now
and
it's
did.
The
study
is
ongoing.
D
E
A
Those
in
favor,
please
say
aye
all
right
all
right
now.
We're
going
to
move
on
to
the
next
item:
p,
to
approval
of
2014,
open
communities,
landlord-tenant
program,
grant
the
housing
and
homelessness
commission
and
the
staff
recommend
approval
of
a
35
thousand
dollar
grant
to
open
communities
to
continue
the
evanston
landlord-tenant
program
in
2013,
the
city
of
Evanston
provided
a
grant
of
thirty
thousand
dollars,
and
this
new
grant
would
fund
the
continuation
of
services
from
January
1
through
December
31
2014.

When
members
of
the
committee
grand
for
our
corporation
counsel,
we
will
certainly
look
into
that
I
believe
I
know
what
you're
speaking
to
I
believe
that
there
was
some
recent
legislation
that
spoke
to
this
issue.
So
staff
will
vet
the
topic
appropriately
and,
if
necessary,
we
can
go
ahead
and
treat
that
as
the
reference
right
now
and
get
working
on
it
right.
E
I'll
make
that
reference
and
what
it
is
is
that
if
you
all
remember
on
the
council
several
years
ago,
I
think
it
was
that
proposed
that
source
of
income
not
be
a
barrier
in
renting
housing,
and
we
had
an
outcry
of
this
room
was
jam-packed
with
landlords
saying
you
can't
do
that
to
us,
and
so
now
you
know
it
became
a
state
issue
and
there
is
a
statute.
Now
that
says
you
may
not
discriminate
based
on
the
source
of
income.
Alleman.
B
E
A
Right,
it's
been
moved
and,
second,
all
those
in
favor,
please
say
aye
aye.
All
right
motion
carries
final
item.
Is
p3
ordinance,
123
Oh
13,
granting
major
zoning
relief
to
establish
open
parking
in
the
front
yard
of
1912
livingston
street.
The
ZBA
and
staff
recommend
approval
to
allow
one
open
parking
space
in
the
front
yard
at
1912,
livingston
street.
