A
Good
morning,
everyone
I'm
evidence
to
the
city
manager.
While
Ibaka
was
happy
new
year.
We
are
starting
our
new
year
off
in
Evanston
in
a
really
great
way
today
by
swearing
in
our
new
police
chief
Demetrius
cook.
So
without
further
ado,
I'd
like
to
call
up
city
clerk,
davon
Reed
in
order
to
administer
the
oath
of
office.
B
I,
just
wanna
make
a
few
words.
It's
it's.
It's
really
an
honor
that
I
have
to
you
know,
swear
in
our
firefighters
and
police
officers
as
they
move
up
in
rank
or
as
they
take
over
a
new
position,
and
so
I'm
really
excited
for
today,
a
new
chapter
in
the
heavens
in
Police
Department
I've,
heard
a
lot
of
great
things
about
you
served
from
the
community.

E
Good
morning,
everyone-
obviously
you
already
know
because
you're
here
what
a
great
man
this
is
that
we're
all
here
to
help
celebrate
but
I'm
here
today,
I
work
with
him
and
a
lot
of
capacities
and
Noble
in
the
south,
suburban
Chiefs
and
Illinois
Chiefs.
But
today
the
south,
suburban
Chiefs
Association,
has
a
proclamation
that
I
would
like
to
read
on
behalf
of
our
president,
a
proclamation
by
the
president
and
Executive
Board
of
the
South
Suburban
Association
of
Chiefs
of
Police
in
the
name
of
Demetrius
Cook
retiring
chief
of
police
in
Glenwood
Illinois.

D
Like
to
thank
the
city
of
Everson,
the
people
in
the
city
of
Evanston
for
trusting
me
I'm
gonna
do
the
best
job
that
I
can
do.
I
like
to
thank
my
Chiefs
of
Police
Chief
Ed
Eaton
and
my
chief
of
police
Frank
Kaminsky
for
bringing
me
up
to
be
able
to
handle
this
position.
I
want
to
thank
the
man
that
made
me
the
police,
Carlos
Mitchum.
