Inglewood Police Department in partnership with Target Inglewood, collaborated to bring holiday cheer to underprivileged and deserving kids this holiday, by granting them an opportunity to go on a shopping spree inside our local Target store.

The happy holiday that everybody this is Chief Mark Barnard from Englewood Police Department, and welcome to our annual heroes and helpers in conjunction with target's.

Hi I'm Sergeant one so right up with the England Police Department. What we do is get references from police officers out in the field: local schools, community groups about kids in need and deserving kids, who may be struggling financially at Christmas time. We gather those names. We give them the opportunity to come out here with police officers and police personnel on a shopping spree throughout the Target store.

It's important for me to be involved in this event, because I enjoy working with kids. They are a feature. I was an underprivileged kid at times growing up and it's important that we foster our future. Our kids motivate them to do well in school to be good citizens and for them to know that their hard work is rewarded.
