LA Metro awarded the City $757,602 through the Section 5310 Grant Program for the purchase of eight 18-22 passenger para-transit vehicles for the Senior Transportation Program with 6 of them running on gas and the remaining 2 on California Natural Gas. 6 of the 8 vehicles are now in service. The remaining two vehicles (CNG) are anticipated to arrive prior to the end of the year, which will replace City vehicles that are 10-15 years old.

The Los Angeles Rams hosted our Opening Day Ceremony to kick off our all new Inglewood Rams Flag Football League.

The Los Angeles Rams recently adopted the Inglewood Parks and Recreation Flag Football League, renaming the program The Inglewood Rams. The league will consist of 22 teams with more than 260 youth participants (ages 5-12). Additionally, the Los Angeles Rams will fund all football components of the Inglewood Rams program, including uniforms and equipment.

Butts, Inglewood Council Members, and State Senator Steven Bradford joined executives from EVgo Network, the nation’s largest and most reliable public fast-charging electric vehicle (EV) network, on Saturday, September 21, 2019, to reveal Inglewood’s first public fast-charging hub station for electric vehicles.

The “Communities Charging for Change” event celebrated the City’s role in EVgo’s Equal Access Charging Hubs (EACH) program, which promotes more sustainable communities through public education and expanded access to EV fast charging.
