Look
at
Ingrid's
housing,
housing
element,
the
latest
version
of
it.
It
tells
you
that
there
are
more
than
50%
of
Engler
residents
that
are
spending
more
than
40%
of
their
house
of
the
household
income
on
housing.
So
so
that's
the
case.
The
majority
of
the
city,
not
even
just
renters,
but
also
homeowners
right,
are
dealing
with
this
issue
as
well.
Our
housing
verdict,
rents.
C
D
It
comes
to
vacancies
a
lot
of
times.
It
is
understandable
that
landlords
will
have
some
situations
where
they
have
to
do.
You
know
it's
a
remodeling
or
renovation
work,
however,
there's
a
lot
of
landlords
within
Englewood
and
Linux
who
are
purposely
leaving
their
units
vegan
and
allowing
justification
to
take
place
in
your
local
communities,
homelessness.

F
C
City
developed
a
website
and
we
started
taking
in
a
survey
about
rents
and
there
were
some
investors
that
were
coming
in
buying
buildings
and
attempting
to
raise
the
rent
over
100
percent.
So
I
put
an
initiative
before
the
council
and
the
first
iteration
was
a
cap
at
8%,
and
then
we
had
a
public
hearing
and
they're
about
60
people
that
came.
There
were
landlords
owners
tenants
and
after
listening
to
public
comment,
here's
what
we've
come
up
with
30
days
from
now
rents
in
Englewood
can't
be
raised
more
than
5%
in
a
12-month
period.
