Description
Live broadcast of the 10-11-22 Inglewood City Council Meeting
A
B
B
Thank
you
so
much
we're
about
to
have
public
comment
before
we
open
public
comment.
I
want
to
remind
people
the
rules
of
the
quorum
persons
addressing
the
city
council.
The
primary
purpose
of
oral
communication
is
to
allow
the
public
the
opportunity
to
formally
communicate
with
the
city
council
as
a
whole
for
matters
that
cannot
normally
be
handled
during
the
regular
working
hours
of
city
government.
B
Any
person
who
makes
such
remarks
or
others
loud,
threatening,
personal
or
abusive
language
or
engages
in
any
other
disorderly
conduct,
which
disrupts
disturbs
or
otherwise
impedes
the
orderly
conduct
of
any
city
council.
Meeting
self.
The
discretion
of
the
presiding
officer
be
barred
from
speaking
further
and,
if
necessary,
may
be
ejected
from
the
meeting
for
those
that
would
like
to
dial
in
for
the
Open
Session,
you
would
dial
888-251-2949
or
215-861-0694.
B
B
E
Want
to
make
sure,
because
I
don't
know
what
that
was,
that
that
Preamble,
that
you
just
gave
us
a
booby
trap,
you
can
say
hello
too
loud,
get
kicked
out
under
them
rules
the
continuation
of
these
City
Council
meetings
at
Gladys,
Hall,
you're,
doing
it
for
controlled
effect,
controlled
effect
means
in
that
condensed
area.
You
can
create
so
much
energy
that
business
cannot
be
conducted
most
municipalities.
Most
governments
are
open
for
business.
B
Mr
Mr
McCoy
is
there
an
agenda
item
that
you
want
to
Mr
mccoying.
E
See
what
you're
doing
now
the
council
full
Council
sees
that
you're
not
paying
attention
to
the
agenda
and
you're
setting
up
trap
slack
and
fail.
So
you
could
continue
like
the
city
clerk
has
done
in
the
past
to
send
me
to
jail.
You
guys
sent
me
to
jail
five
times
revealed
that
revealed
the
fact
that
you
have
erroneously
slandered
my
name
and
there's
proof
saying
that
I
pulled
a
handgun
and
threatened
you
with
a
handgun.
H
H
H
H
C
I
Good
afternoon
Council
my
name
is
fredericia
Dixon.
As
mayor
butts
incorrectly
called
Miss,
Yolanda
Davidson,
my
name.
We
don't
resemble
it
all
and
clearly
you
know
who
I
am,
and
you
know
who
Yolanda
is
as
well.
So
I
would
appreciate
it.
If
you
showed
us
both
the
amount
of
respect
that
we
show
you
when
we
come
up
here
and
speak
to
the
council
and
address
Us
by
the
correct
names,
I
want
to
address
dr1.
I
First
of
all,
I
want
to
Echo
some
of
our
community
members
sentiments
and
requests
that
you
guys
open
back
up
the
city
council
chambers
I
do
understand
that
AB
361
is
still
active,
but
I
feel,
like
you
all,
are
misusing
this
piece
of
legislation
to
keep
the
community
out
of
the
city.
Council
chambers.
I
All
of
the
other
cities
around
us
have
been
having
open,
City
Council
meetings
for
more
than
six
months,
and
although
that
there
is
no
health
risk
here
in
this
community
or
even
there's
no
health
risk
related
to
coming
to
any
of
these
meetings.
You
still
continue
to
keep
us
out.
I.
Just
ask
that
you
vote
not
to
keep
us
out
today.
I
I
also
want
to
address
the
police
department,
so
I
do
not
believe
that
the
council
should.
B
Which?
Which
item
is
that
ma'am.
B
B
G
I
I,
don't
think
that
the
council
Grant
is
the
Englewood
Police
Department
or
any
other
police
department
until
an
audit
of
the
Inglewood
Police,
Department
and
all
police
related
expenditures
has
been
conducted.
Considering
the
fact
that
the
Inglewood
Police
Department
received
75
percent
of
our
City's
budget
last
fiscal
year,
the
residents
of
Inglewood
deserve
to
know
where
asset
forfeiture
funds
and
their
tax
dollars
are
being
spent
further.
I
This
Council
should
cease
the
practice
of
Outsourcing
police
officers
and
either
put
the
Inglewood
Police
Department
in
a
position
to
serve
all
of
the
needs
of
our
city
by
hiring
qualified
staff
or
disband
the
Inglewood
Police
Department
and
hire
another
agency
who
can
provide
the
services
that
our
community
needs
deserves
and
is
paying
a
great
deal
of
money
for
I
also
want
to
talk
about
0-1
which
well
this
is
the
planning
hearing
the
hookah
lounge,
so
I
will
hold
off
until
the
public
hearing
to
address
this
right
here.
Thank
you.
Okay,.
I
D
D
B
A
C
C
C
B
C
B
J
So
our
staff
report,
the
purpose
of
it,
is
to
allow
for
toe
referrals.
All
of
you,
I'm
sure,
are
aware.
The
police
department,
as
well
as
code
enforcement
on
occasion
and
traffic
enforcement
officers,
require
vehicles
to
be
towed
and
we
need
to
have
those
Vehicles
towed
to
a
yard
that
is
accessible
to
us
for
further
investigation
and
follow-up
and
so
forth.
And
so
this
staff
report
is
for
the
recommendation
to
allow
b
h
toe
to
continue
serving
as
that
tow
company
for
the
city
of
Inglewood.
A
E
E
E
E
E
E
But
if
you
look
at
his
history,
let's
get
out
the
personal
stuff,
he
has
never
had
any
history
prior
to
becoming
the
mayor
of
Inglewood
of
running
any
budget,
not
attracting
any
businesses.
No,
no!
What
small
business
is
what
business
is
he
bringing
outside
of
the
big
ones?
Any
idiot
like
I
said
before.
E
E
It's
the
same
thing
happening
here
is
just
delayed:
yeah
Melanie
McDade,
coming
up
Wanda
Brown
coming
up
the
officer
that
you
hit.
There
is
no
logical
reason
and
I
know
we
were
talking
about
the
towing,
but
everyone's
eaten
off
of
us,
except
the
people
that
live
here
James.
But
you
never
lived
here
30
days
before
the
election
you
move
here,
you
came.
D
H
Hello
Council
are
any
Inglewood
tow
companies
being
considered
for
this
referral
permit
or
only
b
h,.
B
You
are
there
any
speakers,
other
speakers,
no
more
okay,
we'll
close,
that
is
quick
question.
Lt
is
BNA
still
located
in
the
same
place.
It
was
before
I'm
I
mean
they've
been
here
since
I
was
here
in
72,
so
I
was
curious.
They've.
J
L
B
You
thank
you
back
up.
Are
there
any
other
any
questions
from
the
comma
from
the
council
nope?
Okay,
with
that
we've
received,
read
public
comments
and
I'm
moving
adoption
I'd
rude
to
adopt
a
resolution,
granting
toe
referral
permit
to
b
h,
toe.
C
B
B
C
C
Report
requesting
that
the
mayor
and
council
member
set
a
public
hearing
for
October
25th
2022
to
consider
the
following
actions:
one
affirmation
of
categorical
exemptions:
EA
ce2022-085,
introduction
of
an
ordinance
approving
zoning
code;
amendment
2022-085
to
update
Transportation
impact
analysis
requirements,
adopt
three
adoption
of
a
resolution
establishing
the
city
of
inglewood's,
Transportation
impact
analysis,
guidelines
and
four
adoption
of
a
resolution.
Amending
the
master
fee
schedule
to
establish
a
public
works
review
fee
for
Local
transportation.
Analysis.
B
Since
public
hearing
for
October
25th
2022
at
2
pm
now
we're
like
three-fourths
way
through
the
jendon,
we
have
a
very
distinguished
guest
and
that's
assembly.
Woman
team
in
mckenner
I
wondered
the
way
to
show
how
orderly
and
prompt
our
Council
meetings
are.
So
you
had
no
worry.
You
were
not
going
to
be
waiting
long.
So
if
you
would
honor
us
with
your
presence
at
the
dice
we'd
appreciate
it.
N
Job
I
would
say
very
efficient
good
afternoon,
mayor
buds
to
the
council
and
to
the
residents
of
the
city
of
Inglewood.
I
am
assembly,
member
Tina,
McKenna
and
I'm
proud
to
represent
the
city
of
Inglewood
in
the
62nd
Assembly
District.
We're.
N
Thank
you
today,
I
would
like
to
share
a
few
updates
about
the
work
I
have
done
in
just
a
few
months
to
address
one
of
the
most
important
issues
facing
communities
across
California,
our
housing
and
homelessness
crisis,
and
the
work
needed
to
share
to
share
that
all
our
brothers
and
sisters
have
a
safe,
clean
and
affordable
place
to
call
home.
My
work
to
address
the
housing
and
homelessness
crisis
is
something
I've
been
working
on
for
years,
including
my
work
with
former
assembly
member
and
current
state
senator
Steve
Bradford
and
former
assemblywoman
Autumn
Burke.
N
In
my
time,
with
LA
voice
since
being
elected
to
this
to
the
assembly
in
June,
I
have
hit
the
ground
running
Have
and
Have
Been
Working
on
legislation
in
the
budgetary
solutions
to
increase
the
supply
of
affordable
housing
in
L.A
county
and
across
the
state.
Since
for
most
things
it
often
comes
down
to
where
the
dollars
are
spent.
Let
me
highlight
some
of
the
budget
actions
that
I've
supported
this
year
as
part
of
the
state
budgets
to
support
housing.
N
And
we
want
to
make
sure
that
the
billions
of
dollars
that
were
that
we
are
spending
are
actually
transferred
into
safe,
affordable
housing
or
for
residents
across
California.
That
is
why
I
authored
AB
1743
this
year,
a
bill
that
has
been
signed
by
Governor
Newson
and
will
take
effect
on
January
2023.
AB
1743
will
require
I,
don't
know
if
you
guys
are
going
to
like
this
part,
but
it
will
require
local
governments
to
annually
report
on
how
many
housing
units
were
actually
produced
and
occupied
in
the
previous
year.
N
Right
California
is
investing
billions
of
dollars
into
affordable
housing
and
we
need
to
make
sure
that
these
funds
are
actually
being
actually
helping.
Families
most
need,
including
right
here
in
our
community,
as
we
look
forward
into
2023.
One
of
the
things
that
I
will
be
working
on
is
legislation
to
expand
the
ability
for
faith-based
housing
and
institution
I
mean
faith-based
institution
to
build,
affordable
housing,
which
you
guys
are
already
doing
as
well.
So
you
guys
are
an
example
to
California
on
supporting
faith-based
institutions
and
allowing
them
to
build
housing
on
their
property.
N
Of
the
examples,
I
want
everybody
to
know
that
I
welcome
your
ideas
and
input
on
what
additional
steps
we
could
take
to
make
sure
every
Californian
have
a
say
has
a
safe
place
to
call
home.
Thank
you
very
much
for
your
time,
but
before
I
go
I
would
like
to
share
with
you
a
couple
of
budget
achievements.
We
won
for
the
city
of
Inglewood,
so
we're
going
to
get
our
check
presentations.
N
N
B

A
B
B
City
clerk,

approval.
C
C
B
B
I
will
adjourn
the
jpa.
There
are
no
appointments
to
boards
and
commissions
and
committees.
We're
at
public
comment
now
and
it's
for
one
minute
and
we'll
start
with
any
phone
callers
operator
with
any
callers
on
the
line.
E
Julio
arrives
is
pitching
tonight
for
the
Dodgers,
so
it's
time
for
me
to
go
baby,
but
let
me
remind
you
of
Maya:
you
endorse
Robert
Paul
and
miles
for
the
assembly.
I,
don't
know
I,
don't
want
to
say
dementia,
never
I,
don't
know!
Oh
I
get
kicked
out
assembly
member,
mckitter,
I'm
glad
she's
here,
she's
done
all
this
work
since
June.
E
The
process
goes
like
this.
The
checks
were
already
in
play
before
she
got
in
here,
so
bringing
them
fake,
Lottery
checks
means
nothing
but
since
she's
here,
let's
talk
about
Inglewood,
Unified,
School,
District,
great
job
to
Urban
girls.
We
are
revealing
the
truth,
Dr
Erica
stories.
So
now
we
need
to
get
back
local
control.
Tina
McKenna
stopped
playing
games.
It's
back
way
beyond
that
loan
and
Gavin
Newsom.
Since
he's
running
around
here
running
for
president,
he
can
sign
right
day.
G
So
this
is,
can
I
get
a
few
seconds?
Please.
B
G
So
as
your
future,
mayor
of
Inglewood
I
will
be
having
what
are
called
small,
a
small
business
showcase
and
I'm,
going
to
start
with
my
first
one
on
October
the
29th
from
10
a.m,
to
4
P.M
at
we
cupcake
as
your
future
mayor
I
will
be
doing
these
every
quarter
for
all
small
small
businesses.
It
will
be
on
a
rotational
process
and
everyone
who
has
a
small
upstart
business.
These
events,
for
you
will
be
free,
so
you
won't
have
to
hope
you
can
make
some
money
and
pray.
You
can
make
a
profit.
G
A
J
B
How
is
it
that
you're
going
to
cause
people
to
come
and
spend
money
at
these
businesses?
You.
G
G
People
in
the
community
like
to
buy
things
you
know,
and
the
people
who
are
the
vendors
will
also
tell
their
people
who
they
know
their
customers
will
tell
another
friend
that
I'm
having
this
event
plus
I,
will
publicize
it.
If
you
look
on
on
my
information
that
the
times
are
wrong
and
I'm
going
to
correct
that,
ASAP.
B
H
Good
afternoon
city
council,
this
is
Yolanda
Davidson
I
am
requesting
us
to
get
more
traffic
control.
When
we
have
two
big
events
at
Sofi
and
at
The
Forum,
there
was
a
very
terrible
situation
that
happened.
This
Sunday
the
residents
were
stopped
from
getting
down
to
the
concert
it
was,
was
terrible.
We
need
more
traffic
and
parking
enforcement
here
in
the
city
of
Inglewood.
Thank
you.
O
O
This
has
been
my
concern
since
2006
and
it's
still
my
concern
as
a
homeowner.
We
need
to
be
able
to
get
out
of
there.
Mr
Mayor
I'd
like
to
invite
you
to
come
and
tour
with
me.
The
Medici
gate
that
you
said
is
available
and
see
if
we
can
get
out
through
there
in
an
emergency.
That's
all
I'm
asking
today
at
all
with
you
Mr
Mayo.
Thank
you.
A
P
Yet
yes,
sir,
my
name
is
Timothy
Bloom,
Mr
butts
and
all
the
honorables
honorables
there.
No
disrespect
I've
lived
in
Inglewood
for
20
years,
okay
with
just
purchase
the
home
off
of
Hillsdale
and
Beach
and
I
see
Mr
Padilla
your
signs
and
Mr
butts
and
stuff,
like
that
and
I.
Think
for
a
resident
here,
like
I,
think
a
lot
of
people
have
a
lot
of
questions
and
want
to
know
or
understand
the
ideas
of
what's
happening.
P
I've
just
been
seeing
a
lot
of
questions
and
stuff
like
that
I'm
a
two-time
grammy-winning
producer
here
in
your
city,
I
know,
Snoop
I,
know
everybody,
but
my
bam
and
I
think
you
know
with
the
conglomerate
of
folks
we're
just
trying
to
understand.
I
know,
there's
been
a
lot
of
rays
and
my
three
seconds
is
up
whatever
the
case
is,
and
that's
that's
pretty
much.
You
know.
B
P
P
P
I'm
stating
the
fact
that
there
are
a
lot
of
questions
in
the
community
and
that's
that's
it
and
I
just
wanted
to
speak
my
voice,
sir.
B
A
P
Know
and
vicariously
actually
being
a
millionaire
here
in
in
Inglewood.
Okay,
there's
just
a
lot
of
questions
now.
If.
B
F
B
I
Mayor
bust,
the
first
question
is:
why
are
you
so
rude?
Why
do
you
belittle
and
demean
every
resident
that
comes
to
address
this
legislative
body?
You
are
showing
time
and
time
again
that
you
let
class
that
you
don't
know
how
to
lead
in
an
ethical
Manner
and
that
you
don't
understand
what
the
role
and
the
duty
of
the
mayor
is.
So,
first
and
foremost,
why
is
our
street
so
dirty
yesterday,
I
was
all
the
way
in
Whittier
at
a
dental
appointment
and
I
overheard.
I
The
the
person
who
worked
at
the
dental
office
in
the
room
next
to
me
talk
about
her
coming
into
the
city
to
go
to
The
Forum,
but
she
was,
she
didn't
know
where
she
was
going
to
park.
She
was
afraid
to
come
here
because
it
was
a
dangerous
city
and
then
she
also
said
why
would
they
put
a
stadium
in
such
a
dirty
Community?
It
is
true
she's,
not
the
only
person
that
believes
our
community
is
dirty.
Please
send
people
to
clean
the
streets.
B
That
we'll
go
to
council
comments,
councilman
Dotson,
District,
One.
M
Showed
up
to
that
mic
now
you
can't
do
anything
if
the
person
don't
know
what
they're
asking
for
you
can't
read
minds.
That's
the
one
thing
you
cannot
do,
but
you
have
been
very
polite
to
everyone
that
comes
to
that.
Make
that
mic
with
that
I
want
to
save
our
crime
is
down
in
the
city
of
ingwood.
Somebody
was
saying
that
the
crime
is
is
not
down,
but
the
crime
is
way
down.
If
you
read
your
statistics,
you
will
see
that
Inglewood
crime
is
being
lower
the
lowest.
M
Now
that
has
ever
been
senior
lunch
program.
We
will
be
feeding
the
seniors
tomorrow,
October
the
12th,
and
we
will
also
be
doing
it
on
October
the
26th.
So
if
you
want
to
come
out
and
have
a
nice
lunch
and
good
conversation,
please
show
up
on
the
12th
and
the
26th
downtown
on
Queen
and
Locust.
Thank
you
very
much
and
everybody
have
a
wonderful
day.
Thank.
Q
Thank
you.
Thank
you
mayor.
You
can
tell
when
people
are
in
Camp
campaigning
and
get
up
there
and
talk
about
and
say
some
of
the
most
incredible
stuff.
You
know
when
you
talk
about
Public
Safety
and
obviously
this
young
lady
doesn't
understand
when
it
comes
to
strategic
planning
for
Public
Safety,
when
you're,
covering
a
stadium
and
you're,
covering
let's
say
the
Forum
and
and
maybe
they're
into
a
dome
that
many
places
that
may
not
have
the
number
of
police
officers
will
reach
out
and
have
a
contract
with
other
outlying
agencies.
Q
Q
But
anybody
that's
looking
to
be
a
police
officer.
The
Inglewood
Police
Department
is
hiring.
Please
call
our
department
if
you're
a
police
officer
and
you'd
like
to
lateral
to
one
of
the
finest
police
departments,
the
Englewood
Police
Department
is
accepting
laterals
as
well,
so
come
to
the
Inglewood
Police
Department.
It's
an
outstanding
law
enforcement,
Premier
law
enforcement
agency.
We
got
a
lot
of
things
going
on
and
so
enough
said
about
that
Mr
I
believe
he
said
his
name
was
Timothy
Boone
and
he
lives
in
my
district.
Q
Q
We've
always
said
up
here
on
the
dice
I
think
we
even
said
it
last
week
that
you
don't
have
to
wait
till
a
council
meeting
to
come
and
I
don't
want
to
use
the
word,
but
I
will
grandstand
when
you
can
call
us
and
we'll
get
back
to
you,
the
young
lady
last
week
that
talked
about
doing
Town,
Hall
meetings,
her
and
I
had
a
discussion
later
that
evening
about
that
she
ends
up
living
in
my
district,
so
I
reached
out
to
her
that's
what
we
do,
and
so,
when
somebody
says
that
you
know
they
have
concerns
and
issues,
and
then
they
can't
think
of
any
when
they're
asked
to
give
some
can
I
get
a
few
seconds
more
mayor.
Q
Thank
you
for
a
few
seconds
thanks
and
then
you
don't
have
your
your
you.
Don't
have
your
questions
ready
it
just
kind
of
makes
you
wonder.
Really
you
come
up.
You
say
you
have
concerns
a
lot
of
residents
have
concerns
and
then,
when
you're
asked
give
me
just
one
you're
not
able
to
come
up
with
any
so
but
look
Mr
Boone.
Please
give
my
office
a
call
310.
Q
-412-8601
I
do
a
Weekly
Newsletter.
We
all
do
newsletters
if
you
live
on
whatever
District
you
live
in
reach
out
to
your
council
member.
They
can
put
you
on
that
list
so
that
you
can
get
their
newsletter
and
then
you
will
know
what's
happening
in
the
city
of
Inglewood.
I
just
want
to
touch
on
the
sentinela
street
Improvement
project,
we're
about
seven
to
ten
days
away
from
re-striping
sitnella,
and
so
please
be
patient.
We're
like
on
you
we're
right
there
at
the
end,
you
know
at
the
Finish
Line
we
should
be
done.
Q
I
think
they're
going
to
re-stripe
the
week
of
the
24th.
So
we're
just
a
couple
of
weeks
away
again.
I
want
to
thank
the
Los
Angeles
Dodgers.
Look.
They
got
the
big
game
tonight
against
the
San
Pedro
San
Pedro,
San
Diego,
you
know
team,
so
the
Padres
but
I
want
to
thank
the
Dodgers.
Their
Foundation
they're
came
here
to
Inglewood
on
Saturday
they're,
going
to
be
redoing
the
baseball
fields
at
Vincent
Park.
Q
This
is
a
field
number
59
and
60
that
they're
redoing
as
their
dream
fields
and
I
just
want
to
thank
the
Dodgers
for
choosing
Inglewood.
They
already
did
the
baseball
diamond
at
Darby,
Park,
and
so
now
Vincent
Park
is
next.
Thank
you.
Okay,.
B
K
You
mayor
a
few
things
that
I
wanted
to
highlight
from
this
last
week.
First
last
week,
last
Wednesday
I
did
attend
the
Englewood
Unified
School
District
board
meeting
Wednesday
night.
It
was
what
I
found
out
was
Dr
Erica
torres's
last
board
meeting,
so
I
wanted
to
go
and
support
her.
So
it
was
quite
emotional,
but
it
was
a
really
good
board
meeting.
She
will
be
extremely
missed
so
so
that
was
a
nice
little
tribute
to
her
last
Wednesday
also
I
on
Saturday.
K
It
was
a
very
busy
Saturday
I
attended
in
the
morning.
The
Inglewood
chapter
of
Delta
Sigma
Theta
sorority
had
an
event
they
partnered
with
Inglewood
Unified
School
District,
and
they
had
an
event
for
Colette
Smith.
She
is
the
first
African-American
NFL
coach
right
there,
and
so
that
was
a
Crozier
Saturday
morning.
So
I
was
able
to
attend
a
little
bit
of
that
event.
I'm
very
proud
of
her
being
the
first
African-American
woman,
and
that's
in
that
position
so
kudos
to
Delta,
Sigma,
Theta
and
Inglewood
for
putting
on
such
a
wonderful
event.
K
Then
we
had
I,
think
councilman
Padilla
touched
on
it
already.
We
had
the
Edward
Vincent
event.
K
Breaking
ground
for
the
Dodgers
Park,
so
that
was
great
and
I
know
he
doctor
I'm,
sorry,
councilman
Padilla
gave
a
lot
of
highlights
of
that,
but
there's
a
great
picture
of
us
Alex.
You
see
that
so
so
that
was
a
really
amazing
event
for
our
kids
in
Inglewood
very
happy
to
attend
that
event
and
and
participate.
Thank
you,
Dodgers
foundation
for
that
as
well.
K
K
Congratulations
and
happy
birthday,
Cinder!
That's
all
I
have
mayor
thanks.
L
You
and
just
just
to
touch
base
I
didn't
make
it
out
to
the
Dodger
dreamfield
groundbreaking,
but
I
will
say
that
putting
work
into
parks
for
fields
for
kids
to
play
any
kind
of
organized
Sports
amazing,
because
what
happens
is
that
it
turns
a
park
into
this
place
of
positive
traffic.
All
week
long,
you
end
up
getting
parents
dropping
off
kids,
kids
running
around
parents
walking
waiting
in
the
parking
lot
and
then
on
the
weekend.
It's
just
full
of
families.
L
So
the
impact
is
completely
underestimated
in
terms
of
fixing
up
what
what
turns
out
to
be
a
field,
I'm
glad
to
say
a
lot
was
that
I
recall
from
when
my
dad
was
doing
it
and
now
I
play
somewhat
of
a
role
in
some
of
those
things
and
and
I'll
tell
you
it's
it's!
A
huge
impact.
L
I
wasn't
going
to
mention
anything
but
but
I'm
watching
some
of
the
calls
I
got
over
what's
happening
in
the
city
of
Los
Angeles
right
now
and
I
I
wanted
to
put
it
on
for
us.
I
wanted
to
talk
about
it
because
we're
such
a
great
example
of
what
black
and
brown
cities
should
be.
L
You
know:
I
grew
up
here
in
the
70s
late,
70s,
80s,
90s
and
and
I've
been
here
throughout
the
transition
and
I
can't
tell
you,
you
know
how
much
work
this
city
has
done
to
really
do
its
best
for
two
cultures,
to
work
together
and
to
watch
one
act
by
someone
who
who
doesn't
belong
as
an
elected
official.
L
Do
something
so
irresponsible
and
set
us
back.
Our
relationship
is
something
that
that
I
didn't
want
to
not
address.
No
one
that
took
part
in
that
kind
of
conversation
to
insult
an
entire
culture
should
be
able
to
represent
them
period.
It's
it's
it's.
They
don't
belong
on
the
council,
but
I'm
more
in
tune
with
where
we
go
from
here
in
terms
of
a
city
like
ours
and
I've.
Gotten
calls
from
both
sides
from
black
leadership,
Brown
leadership
for
the
last
two
three
days,
and
it's
amazing.
L
We
need
to
understand
each
other
and
I,
put
myself
in
the
place
of
black
leadership
when
I
think
if
it
was
the
other
way
around
and
what
we
would
expect,
and
so
with
that
it
may
just
I
just
wanted
to
make
it
clear
that
you
know
I
stand
with
black
leadership
asking
for
for
those
members
to
step
down,
because
in
order
for
us
to
continue
to
build
on
the
equal
confidence
we
have
in
each
other
in
equal
trust,
we
need
to
start
healing
it's
a
bigger
incident
than
people
want
to
give
credit
to,
but
it's
here
we
need
to
face
it,
and
it
just
makes
me
more
proud
to
be
from
the
city
of
England.
B
Thank
you
very
much
very
eloquent
word.
This
last
I
think
it
was
Saturday.
We
had
the
inaugural
run
of
Decay
line
from
they
started
from
the
Fairview
Heights
Station
and
they
ended
up
at
Lemont
Park
and
it
was
a
very,
very
nice
celebration.
There
was
the
congresswoman
state
senators
U.S
senator
Padilla
was
there
I
mean
who's
who
and
that
was
Jody
Watley
that
you
just
saw
go
back
to
Jody
Watley.
B
Yes,
she
was,
she
was.
She
was
the
emcee
and
then
there
was
me
like
on
right
there
in
the
cab.
They
almost
let
me
drive,
but
you
know
they
didn't
and
you
you
guys
have
to
I,
have
to
tell
you
that
Inglewood
is
so
respected
in
this
County,
so
respected
in
this
County.
The
the
Dodgers
are
redoing
75
fields
in
the
County
of
Los
Angeles.
There
are
88
cities
in
the
County
of
Los
Angeles,
three
of
the
fields
that
they're
doing
are
in
the
city
of
Inglewood.
B
This
is
a
lot
you
guys,
and
so
when
I
see
people
get
up
and
I
say
they
went
to
some
City
East
to
here
and
that
person
says
they
don't
come
to
Inglewood,
because
the
streets
are
dirty,
I,
think
that's
the
most
ridiculous
thing,
I've
ever
heard,
I
think
I
think
it's
absurd
and
I.
Don't
know
why,
as
a
person
would
ever
want
to
represent
the
city
and
when
you
they
talk
about
being
rude
to
people.
B
When
you
ask
a
person
that
says
they
have
concerns,
and
you
say
please
just
tell
me
what
your
problem
is
and
they
can't
answer
you
it'll
lead
you
to
believe
that
they're
set
up
just
to
come
up
and
say
that,
because
we're
glad
to
answer
any
concerns
you
have
about
this
city
and
finally,
to
piggyback
on
what
council
Morales
said.
One
of
the
things
I've
been
most
proud
of
in
my
50-year
career
was
that
I
came
into
the
Inwood
Police
Department.
When
it
was.
B
B
And
now
we
don't
even
let
two
people
the
same
race
sit
together
anymore:
black
brown,
black
brown,
black.
We
don't
we
don't.
Even
we
don't
even
allow
it.
You
can't
even
sit
together,
so
it's
all
the
way
across
and
I'm
being
facetious,
but
I'm
telling
you
that
it
made
it
clear
that
we
are
not
only
smart
that
we're
not
only
builders,
but
there
were
Multicultural
and
I'm
so
proud
to
be
part
of
the
city
and
the
city
council
and
there's
only
greater
things,
greater
things
that
come
so
with
that
we're
adjourned.
