From YouTube: April 26, 2023 Community Police Board Meeting
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
First
of
all,
I'd
like
to
introduce
Shaniqua
Lewis
right.
Yes,
as
the
new
deputy,
the
city
clerk
to
and
she's
here,
because
Melody
is
currently
in
a
training
seminar.
A
A
Richard
hi
Richard,
okay,
great
all
right
so
do
we
have
any
amendments
or
additions
or
changes
to
the
agenda.
A
A
We
don't
have
minutes
from
the
last
meeting,
so
we
pass
on
that
public
comment.
Hi
Zach,.
F
Iesthood
patients
nationally
there's
also
the
issue
the
ethics
conclusions,
the
problems
that
the
city,
essentially
they
did
their
own
separate
investigation,
refused
to
cooperate
with
the
county
one
and
instead
of
it,
and
bring
everyone
together
and
getting
everyone
the
same
age.
You
know
there
is
further
advisations
of
discriminatory
behavior
on
the
part
of
the
board
and
books
of
Interest,
and
it
should
only
seen
only
got
worse.
F
F
F
F
Would
it
not
be
here
to
say
that
re-managing
Public
Safety
had
so
impacted
Staffing
that
now
that
there
is
a
400,
000
Grant
to
combat
employment,
that's
being
turned
down?
Would
that
be
accurate?
F
And
you
know
if
that
is
true,
I
mean
there's
a
meaningful
attempt.
You
know
on
the
state
in
the
county
and
everyone,
except
in
a
city
here
who
addresses
their
incident
last
night.
Somebody
rolled
into
a
you
know:
it's
a
living
facility
you're,
one
of
those
where
they
help
people
with
special
needs,
and
if
people
aren't
safe
in
those
places
at
a
time.
F
A
We
don't
have
anybody
out
in
the
stratosphere
right.
Nobody
connected
that
way.
Report
hi,
George,
I'm!
Sorry,
if
you
mentioned
it
already
right
a
report
from
common
Council,
sir,
are
you
ready
or
do
you
want
me
to
go
by
you
and
come
back.
G
Why
don't
you
go
back?
Okay,.
A
H
Okay,
well,
I
know
everybody's
ready
as
the
boys
and
all
that
and
for
the
respect
of
everybody's
time.
They
have
here
today
that
I
really
can't
answer
those
questions
on
where
things
stand
with
me
or
they're.
The
case
office
stand
which
I
explained
so
the
about
that
conversation
soon
went
there
and
then
maybe
they
have
a
better
idea
where
what
direction
we're
heading
to
sure.
Well
anything
else.
You
know,
regarding
that,
you
know.
H
I've
stated
a
lot
in
the
last
comment
are
doing
pretty
important
meeting
on
the
state
of
the
department
and
I
would
just
refer
any
questions
that
may
come
up
as
we
reference
that
meeting,
and
you
know
my
comments
back
then
I
do
want
to
focus
on
some
other
things,
so
we
can
move
forward
here
and
we
do
have
two
officers.
You
know
the
hired
officers
and
two
different
academies.
H
One
important
one
I
mean
a
broom
and
I
also
want
to
acknowledge
the
great
work
that
was
done
by
our
investigators,
our
police
officers,
the
sheriff
State
Police,
the
DA's
office.
I'm
young
got
free
homicide
where
Willie
Marshall
was
sentenced
to
20
years.
That
was
a
very
good
example
of
teamwork,
which
is
something
I
mentioned
before
that
we're
going
to
have
for
who
here,
and
in
fact
this
kind
of
we
had
been
doing,
particularly
when
it
comes
to
addressing
violent
crime.
So
that
was
a
good
idea.
H
Last
night
we
had
an
officer
that
responded
to
a
call
where
somebody
was
waiting
profusely
apprecially
from
his
arm
with
an
artery
injury
and
a
tourniquet
was
applied
by
Officer
schaser
he's
fairly
new.
He
was
hired
last
year
and
just
recently
was
released
to
from
field
training,
but
no
doubt
save
that
individual's
Life
by
applying
a
tourniquet
to
the
individual.
H
H
There's
been
some
meetings
with
the
community
Justice
Center
I'm
regarding
officer,
wellness
and
I've,
been
to
a
few
of
those
meetings
and
I'm
just
catching
up
on
some
of
what
they
discussed
back
in
December,
and
so
everyone
will
continue
with
that.
In
general
terms,
you
have
the
yard.
We
do
have
some
staffing
issues
and
I'm
going
to
try
to
look
at
this
in
any
positive
way
where
this
will
be
a
good
challenge
for
the
new
Chief
when
that
person
is
hired
to
rebuild
the
department
and
that's
how
I'm
looking
at
it.
D
E
The
officers
sure
should
I
email
you
to
yeah.
H
Kim
she
just
updated
that
actually
yesterday
in
the
Denver,
this
is
the
chief
secretary,
correct
and
I've
been
in
the
three
different
meetings
today-
or
this
is
my
third
one
and
I
was
actually
in
Pentagon
grabbing
a
roster
and
I
didn't
have
time
to
do
that.
Traffic
was
having
getting
from
the
Cornell
area
just
down
to
the
station,
because
Aurora
street
is
shut
on
and
traffic
is
at
a
crawl,
so
I'm
just
I
walked
over
here
from
the
station.
I
didn't
have
a
chance
to
get
over
to
the
PD
and
I'll.
A
H
We
have
15
vacancies
and
when
you
look
at
the
reimagining
process
with
civilian
support,
staff
are
unarmed
responders
that
look
at
that
as
a
rebuilding
Tressa,
where
this
is
in
my
career
and
I,
don't
want
to
rehash
last
one.
So
I
want
to
be
very
brief
on
this
we're
down
15.
H
H
G
G
There's
a
couple
tweaks
after
the
meeting,
but
that's
on
the
City
website.
The
challenge,
in
my
opinion,
will
be
to
get
things
moving
in.
G
As
rapidly
as
possible,
I
know
that
a
number
of
officers
have
asked
me
when
the
unarmed
responders
are
going
to
be
hired
because
we're
so
short
staffed.
The
ipd
needs
help
as
soon
as
possible.
G
G
I
just
want
to
say
yeah
I
wanna
I
wanna
thank
Vince
Camuto,
because
I
mean
with
the
changes
at
the
top
with
acting
Chief
Jolie
going
on
leave,
Vince
has
stepped
up,
Vince
is
here,
this
does
his
job
and
the
beauty
Justice
Center
Mona
Smiley
is.
G
It
is
encouraged
working
with
events
and
I
Just
Want
to
Thank
You
Vince,
because
we'd
be
a
deep
dude
and
we're
here
being
tournament,
you're,
a
good
man
and
you're
you're
40
some
years
they're
in
the
city
really
shows.
A
Okay,
the
only
thing
that
we
did
have
is
we
need
to
notate
that
we
have
finally
completed
the
confidentiality
requirements
for
2023..
Thank
you
all
for
cooperating
on
that
new,
this
old
business.
This
is
a.
There
are
two
things
on
here
and
they're
both
dated
because
we
passed
on
them.
The
last
time.
I
think
one
is
the
discussion
on
the
zoom
meeting
that
we
had
with
the
consultant
for
the
chief's
search.
C
A
A
A
A
He
asked
us
what
kinds
of
things
we
were
interested
in
seeing
and
achieve,
and
I
said
to
him.
We
discussed
but
I
said
to
him
after
the
meeting
I
said
to
him
the
Matrix
that
was
used
during
the
police,
the
prior
search
or
number.
F
A
Searches
that
we've
all
been
involved
with
over
the
last
number
of
years,
so
the
grid
and
the
Criterion
that
was
used
and
how
it
was
Ford.
We
talked
about
the
State
of
Affairs.
A
Which
I
think
in
somebody
can
correct
me
and
if
I
didn't
see
it
correctly,
he
was
kind
of
shocked
at
some
of
the
things
that
we
had
to
say
about
the
devastation
that's
going
on
in
the
his
parental
employees
across
all
spectrums
of
the
city
and
I'll
stop
now
somebody
else
wanna
jump
in
and
say
what
they
recall.
I
It
really
just
seemed
like
it
was
gathering
does
value
information.
It
sounds
like
he
was
just
brainstorming,
getting
different
cohorts
of
minds,
and
you
know
it
really
didn't
sound
like
at
least
to
me.
I
I
Us
what
you
think
well,
you
know
we're
there
and
we'll
see
where
it
goes.
I
didn't
get
any
particular
impression
of
like
what
his
anticipated
follow-up
was
there
anything
in
any
substantial
unconsciousness,
but
I
appreciate
you
taking
the
time
to
give
her
inside
I
appreciated
how
he
did
it
in
the
sense
that
it
probably
could
have
been
more
helpful.
This
Is,
How
They
started
this
type
of
thing,
but
just
start.
B
It
also
seemed
like
he
had
a
good
track
record
with
prior
filling
positions
for
her
other
jurisdictions.
At
least
close
five
memory
serves
me.
There
was
Syracuse
in
Albany
at
least
close
by
that
there
have
been
dozens
and
dozens
and
dozens
of
other
placements
that
were
successful
and
that
panned
out
really
well
so,
hopefully,
a
good
track
record
gives
us
some
promise,
given
that
it
seems
like
there's
a.
B
He
has
a
lot
of
connections
to
be
able
to
have
and
a
lot
of
contacts
that
might
be
good
fits,
and
it
seemed
like
there's
good
potential
there
to
harness
existing
contacts,
but
also
have
the
right
mindset
of
knowing
what
the
right
fit
for
our
community
would
be
too.
D
You
captured,
and
he
was
confident
but
also
realistic
in
this
process,
and
it
will
be
a
challenge
to
get
someone.
Maybe.
A
Now
we
have
a
discussion
on
persons
that
attended
the
community
healing
event
from
March
21st
and,
as
I
recall
it
with
Bruce,
Rick
and
Shirley.
Somebody
want
to
start.
A
I'll
start
there
was
I
would
suggest
that
there
were
a
lot
of
people
who
were
professionally
related
to
the
topic,
not
necessarily
communiting
people.
You
know
just
folks
off
the
street
or
whatever
you
want
to
call
them.
So
there
were
social
workers.
There
were
people
from
the
county,
the
D.A
was
there.
There
were
Council
persons
there.
A
A
A
Gentleman
who
really
in
my
for
me,
hope
that
he
pulled
back
everything
so
that
you
weren't
pointing
fingers
all
over
the
place,
and
you
weren't
blaming
you.
You
would
pull
you
pull
it
back
and
it's
up
to
you.
You
were
the
one
who
has
to
work
on
your
bias
or
your
thoughts
or
that
your
behaviors,
it's
all
about
how
you
deal
with.
A
I,
like
oh
I,
know
I,
like
the
fact
that
you
could
speak
directly,
call
a
question
or
answer
some
of
the
questions
that
he
brought
up
for
us
to
discuss,
or
you
could
use
your
equipment,
your
cell
phone
or
whatever,
and
you
could
send
a
message
to
the
equipment
that
he
had
said
set
up.
So
somebody
who
didn't
feel
like
they
wanted
to
say
well,
I
think
this.
A
I
don't
know
if
it
had
value
for
anyone
else,
because
I
didn't
ask
them,
because
I
ran
out
of
there.
I
had
things
to
do,
but
did
you,
gentlemen,
think
that
it
had
value.
C
I
did
I
think
it
was
well
structured.
Like
you
said
it
was
really
open
and
was
able
to
avoid.
You
know
blaming
it
for
agendas.
C
G
It
wasn't
me,
but
they
I
I
thought
that
was
unfortunate
and
I
also
thought.
It
was
unfortunate.
Two
young
black
community
members.
G
The
people
you
really
want
to
hear
from
that,
but
this
guy.
G
Think
nobody's
doing
and
I
think
Mona
Mona
leaders
is.
G
Just
moving
ahead
and
without.
G
She's
open
to
police
involvement,
she
wants
police
involvement
and
she
wants
Community
involvement
and
I
I.
Think
that's
good.
E
And
it's
it
struck
me
as
a
very
true
when
we
you
do
have
to
have
opportunities
to
talk
to
one
another.
A
Okay,
I'm
going
to
dovetail
onto
that
because
I,
as
you
may
or
may
not
recall,
I
started
to
watch
the
public
safety
meetings
for
the
county
and
something
happened
the
other
day
last
week.
I
think
it
was
where
an
individual
from
u
r,
o.
F
A
You're
right,
I
think
it's
United,
but
anyway,
all
that
aside,
he
presented
a
book
and
indicated
that
they
are
having
like
a
community
read
for
Community
healing
and
the
facilitation.
A
If
I
got
it
correctly,
I
tried
to
reach
this
gentleman,
but
no
one
answered
the
phone
at
that
organization,
so
they
have
set
up
some
sort
of
a
zoom
like
book
club
if
you
will,
or
whatever
they
call
those
things
and
the
name
of
the
book
is
my
grandmother's
hand
and
it's
related
to
trauma
and
how
trauma
goes
through
generations,
and
it
gives
you
an
understanding
or
develop
you
to
understand
trauma
and
how
that
affects
persons
behaviors
or
you
know,
a
language
that
they
use.
F
A
Going
to
be
I,
don't
have
books
and
I,
don't
know
what
else,
because
I
tried
to
get
a
hold
of
the
gentleman,
but
I
couldn't
get
a
hold
of
him.
I
went
online
and
I
bought
the
book
used.
It's
not
come
yet,
but
it
was
only
15
bucks.
So
I
think
it
would
be
good
for
us.
If
we
have
the
time
for
each
of
us
to
try
to
do
that,
and
then
we
could.
A
B
A
Understanding
it's
the
ultimate
re-entry.
Okay,
it
might
have
been
tolly
that
spoke,
who
was
a
gentleman
yeah
I'll,
have
to
check
over
that,
but
that
sounds
like
a
good
idea.
Thank
you.
Shirley
I
can
send
a
link
to
what
is
on
their
website
regarding
this.
For
all
of
you
to
take
a
look
at
after
we
leave
today,
okay
yeah,
that
would.
B
F
A
A
Okay,
so
that's
the
old
business
and
we're
on
to
new
business,
we're
doing
really
fantastic,
because
the
two
of
you
have
to
leave
at
5
30.,
Rick
you're
up
wow.
That
was
a
good
segue,
because.
A
I
can
certainly
contact
on
our
behalf.
I
can
contact
Malia
and
ask
her
about
the
not
as
a
an
individual
person
but
as
a
representative
from
the
community
police
board
being
involved
in
some
Manner
and
see
what
a
response
I
get
if
you're
interested
in
that
and
if
somebody's
willing
to
donate
or
you
know,
use
their
time
to
do
that,
I
mean
I,
don't
know
what
the
time
commitment
would
be,
but
I
certainly
could
because
it's
brand
new
I
can't
imagine
somebody
really
does
know
exactly
what
kind
of
a
time
commitment.
E
They're
supposed
to
meet
once
a
month,
and
then
maybe
you
know
a
few
other
various
activities
so
I'll
read
you
guys
what
it
said.
Lord
will
also
include
associate
non-voting
members.
It's
contributed
to
provide
critical
insight
and
are
actively
engage
in
the
discussions
and
activities
of
the
board
associate
members
may
be
directly
impacted
or
indirectly
impacted
by
the
outcomes
of
the
reimagining
safety
plans
associate
non-voting.
Members
shall
be
identified
based
on
the
concert,
expertise
and
ability
to
contribute
to
the
implementation
of
the
reimagining.
E
All
the
safety
plans
criteria
would
include
mental
health,
new
Services
legal,
common
counsel,
Comics
kind
of
legislature.
I
only
took
this
one
page
out,
so
we've
we
kind
of
fit
in
there
and
my
thought
was
well
it's
too
late
to
join
as
a
voting
member,
but
I
don't
know
we
want
to
go
in
and
start
voting
on
things
I
just
thought:
it'd
be
a
good
idea
to
have
somebody
there
that
there
were
questions
about
the
community
police,
Ford
or
somebody
said
well.
What
about
this?
E
We
have
a
certain
amount
of
expertise
that
might
be
of
use
to
them,
and
it's
again
it's
the
same
thing
that
we're
all
saying
about
the
the
healing
forum.
You
want
to
keep
these
lines
Communication
open
and
just
try
to
keep
it
open
and
falling,
and
going
that
way
is
to
make
things
a
little
bit
better.
A
There's
no
I'm
not
seeing
any
bobbleheads
here
anyway,
yeah.
Thank
you
so.
A
E
A
Well,
I
think
I
I,
yeah
I,
don't
want
to
be
the
cowgirl,
and
you
know,
riding
out
on
the
Range
by
myself
on
this
I
could.
