From YouTube: City Council Meeting (6/5/2023)
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
B
That
is
quite
doing
gracious,
Heavenly
Father.
We
thank
you
for
this
day
Lord.
We
also
thank
you
for
your
savior
and
our
savior
Christ
Jesus
I
pray
that
all
come
to
know
him
as
our
savior
Lord.
Let
us
ask
that
you
lay
your
loving
hand
upon
this
city
and
Upon
Our
First
Responders
as
they
protect
our
peace
Lord,
be
with
our
military
personnel
as
they
move
forward
and
protect
our
peace
as
well
before
it's
in
your
son
in
Jesus
name,
we
pray,
amen,
amen,.
C
A
You've
motion
a
second
any
discussion:
all
in
favor
signifies.
No,
she
carries
announcements,
Miss
gold.
F
Thank
you
mayor.
Several
announcements
wanted
to
mention
that
mayor,
Hoffman
and
council
member
Sutton
and
I
attended
the
Memorial
Day
ceremony
at
the
beaches,
Veterans
Memorial
Park
on
Memorial
Day
at
that
ceremony
ceremony,
where
several
gold
star
families
and
their
attendance.
There
was
an
important
reminder
that
Memorial
Day
is
every
day
for
them
because
they
are
missing
somebody
every
day
and
I.
C
F
Their
sacrifice
I
also
want
to
in
line
with
that
before
Memorial
Day,
we
had
an
issue
come
up
and
I
want
to
give
special.
Thanks
to
our
Jack
speech,
police
officer,
Noble,
Molly
Alger
and
our
public
works
department
for
ensuring
the
sign
of
Honor
for
our
following
hero:
private
first
class
John
Franks,
the
sign
was
vandalized
and
they
worked
quickly
to
get
the
sign,
cleaned
and
replaced
so
that
it
was
back
in
its
its
rightful
location.
F
Before
Memorial
Day
I
also
got
to
give
special
thanks
to
Rob
emheiser
and
Max
irvanian,
who
were
working
late
on
Sunday
before
Memorial
Day
when
the
squamous
went
missing
and
they
actually
went
into
the
water
and
spent
the
rest
of
the
evening
until
it
was
dark
and
they
couldn't
see
any
longer
searching
for
the
swimmer
and
just
want
to
say
I
I
know.
F
We
all
know
that
the
the
swimmer
was
found,
and
certainly
my
prayers
are
with
his
family
and
the
and
his
friends
a
very
tragic
loss
and
something
we
don't
want
to
happen.
But
I
do
think
Rob
and
Max
for
being
there
and
doing
the
best
that
they
could
do
and
then
I
want
to
mention
that
beaches
watch
is
hosting
a
meeting
with
representative
Kian
Michael
on
Wednesday
June
14th
at
7
pm
at
the
beaches.
Branch
Library
be
a
great
opportunity
to
meet
our
representative.
F
C
F
The
city
council
is
having
a
comp
plan
in
Land
Development
code
workshop
and
then
on
June
15th,
which
is
a
Thursday
and
June
27th
at
5
30.
Both
of
those
dates
were
having
a
Latham
Plaza
redesign
workshop
and
citizens
are
encouraged
to
come
out
and
participate
in
that
to
provide
your
input
and
then
I
also
want
to
remind
everybody
that
Juneteenth
is
Monday,
June
19th.
So
that
means
our
next
council
meeting
will
be
Tuesday
June
20th,
because
City
Hall
will.
B
Oh
you're
old
I'm
on
the
county
level
I
just
wanted
to
share
some
good
news
that
the.
B
C
B
The
the
White
House
negotiators
were
able
to
come
to
a
conclusion
on
the
debt
ceiling
limit
and
part
of
that
conversation.
There
was
legislation
that
we
said
rescinds
some
funds.
However,
the
the
the
funds
that
are
not
included
in
this
are
the
state,
local
fiscal
recovery
funds,
programs
that
are
distributed
to
the
city.
So
how
that's
going
to
affect
us
as
a
city
moving
forward,
it's
uncertain.
A
G
Yeah,
just
briefly
on
Memorial
Day,
council
member
Warren
and
the
mayor
and
I
spent
actually
quite
a
bit
of
time
down
at
the
lifeguard
station
and
I
think,
even
though
it
was
an
extremely
busy
weekend
and
unfortunate
and
some
regard
as
councilman
going
just
stated,
I
think
things
went
very
well.
So
congratulations
to
blsc
and
Jason
your
guys
with
Jay
Ward
I.
Think
things
are
off
to
a
great
start.
A
D
D
I,
don't
know
if
anybody
saw
there's
a
lot
of
news
coverage
that
happened
to
be.
They
just
have
to
be
down
in
the
right
place.
Right
now.
D
Well,
I
know
that
when
I've
been
a
lifeguard
I
know
when
you're
out
there
on
a
holiday
or
any
day
and
the
distance
between
you
and
the
next
Tower,
you
feel
obliged
for
that
space
and
even
if
you
can't
see-
or
if
you
you
know,
you
still
feel
you
still
obligated
to
those
those
people
and
I
know
that
having
another
Tower
or
two
towers,
three
towers
or
more
guards
is
one
of
those
things
that
that
will
contribute
to
Public,
Safety
and
I'll
just
happen
to
see
them
down
there
and
I'm.
Looking
forward
to
continuing.
A
I
think
I'm
going
to
start
going.
First
on
announcements,
you
guys
took
all
the
good
stuff.
So
what
what
do
I
have
left
on
my
list?
Echo
thanks
to
jayboard
and
blsc,
for
their
work
on
a
very
busy
weekend.
I
think
that
I
saw
on
Instagram.
There
were
141
calls
for
service
and
67
swimmers
assisted,
so
that
was
a
very
busy
weekend,
especially
for
the
first
time
back
of
working
back
in
tandem
with
Jay
Warren
blsc
Public
Works
week.
A
Nobody
mentioned
that
two
weeks
ago,
big
celebration
down
at
public
works
with
some
barbecue
and
cake
and
recognizing
all
of
their
hard
work.
There.
A
Owner
Workshop
meeting
that
workshop
last
week,
it
happened
to
be
on
June
1st,
which
is
the
first
day
of
hurricane
season,
so
we're
encouraging
them,
along
with
our
city,
has
had
one
hurricane
tabletop
exercise
and
has
taken
part
in
a
couple
county
level
exercises
and
we've
got
one
more
to
go
in
July
so
that
we
can
continue
to
be
prepared,
hopefully
for
nothing
but
better
to
prepare
than
be
underprepared
and
then
I
think
that's
it.
Anybody
else
miss
yourself.
G
I
just
want
to
thank
councilwoman
Golding
for
recognizing
councilman,
Jansen
and
I
for
being
sex
of
the
generations.
We
don't
have
anything
else.
We
got
that
going
for
us
now,
that's
kind
of
exciting,
so
I
don't
know
about
you
councilman,
but
I'm.
Looking
forward
to
the
next
decade.
That's.
A
H
H
To
me
they
had
bulldozed
down
like
a
single
family
house
and
built
a
townhouse
which
I
am
part
of
a
townhouse,
so
not
hating
on
townhouses,
but
when
it
was
sold,
it
was
sold
to
some
people
that
have
turned
it
into
an
Airbnb,
that's
advertised
as
16
plus
guests,
eight
bedroom,
12
bed
house,
and
it's
so
two
four
bedroom
houses
with
a
single
car
garage,
and
so
since
they
have
made
this
into
an
Airbnb
roughly
in
April
I'd
say
maybe
until
late
April
there's
been
naked
teenagers
out
on
the
balcony
upstairs
they
have
parked
in
front
of
my
driveway
blocking
my
entire
driveway
to
be
able
to.
H
H
I've
been
woken
up
by
visitors
at
this
Airbnb
I've
stayed
at
Airbnb,
so
I'm
not
here
to
hate
on
airbnbs,
but
the
activity
that
is
happening
at
this
Airbnb
seems
to
be
very
active
and
loud
and
just
spilling
over
into
the
street.
That
I
live
on.
That
is
quiet
and
doesn't
have
any
other
airbnbs,
and
this
isn't
really
the
vibe
of
our
street
and.
C
H
Don't
want
to
have
to
keep
calling
the
non-emergent
police
line
to
get
people
to
like
break
up
what's
happening,
and
you
know
I'm
a
healthcare
worker
and
my
husband
is
also
an
ICU
nurse
and
we
wake
up
at
4
45
in
the
morning
and
I
can't
keep
getting
interrupted
sleep
on
random
days
of
the
week,
because
it's
happening
during
the
week
and
also
on
the
weekend
in
this
place.
If
you
look,
it
up
is
pretty
much
solid
because
it's
a
nice
new
house
that
they
just
built.
F
A
And
we
don't
really
kind
of
engage
in
dialogue
at
this
point.
But
you
didn't
give
us
a
phone
number
or
an
email
on
this
and
I'd
like
to
ask
I.
C
H
A
C
A
F
A
A
E
J
J
G
G
I
C
I
We
also
provided
for
an
exception
as
a
part
of
this
ordinance
applied
to
applied
cars
that
are
in
the
act
of
training
or
Savior.
Lives
of
property
staff
recommends
your
your
approval.
C
I
A
E
G
I'd
like
to
suggest
that
we
seriously
consider
amending
this
section,
if
not
creating
a
whole
separate
section
with
regard
to
this
I
think
a
50
fine
is
a
joke
as
it
relates
to
this.
That's
you
know
that
seems
like
an
entry
fee
to
me
for
somebody
to
go
jump
off
the
pier
get
a
bunch
of
buddies
together,
we'll
all
throw
in
ten
dollars
and
you're
up.
It's
your
turn,
I
think.
If
we
want
to
get
somebody's
attention
and
really
deter
the
activity,
then
we
need
to
consider
something
quite
a
bit.
B
I
guess
my
question
is
for
Miss
Robinson
in
reference
to
that
and
the
co-sponsorship
from
Jacksonville
city
of
Jacksonville
are:
are
they
will
they
be
providing
signs
on
the
pier
itself
or
on
the
entrance
way
to
the
pier
or
on
the
polls
or
of
any
sort
or
Banner?
Are
we
in
Partnership
like
that,
or
are
we
just
bearing
the
responsibility
of
all
that
ourselves?
Do
they
kind
of
washed
my
hands
of
it?
I.
I
Has
simply
declined
to
take
any
action
with
respect
to
this
particular
activity,
so
there
really
isn't
a
co-partnership
at
all.
With
respect
to
this
ordinance
is
just
simply.
We
approached
them
because
it
was
their
peer
to
make
sure
that
whatever
we
did
in
terms
of
regulating
activity
on
it
would
not
offend
any
of
their
sensibilities
or,
if
there's
something
that
they
had
in
mind
to
do
on
and
as
I
said
before,
the
response
that
we
got
back
was
well,
you
guys
take
it
and
you
enforce
it.
I
So
there
was
never
an
offer
to
do
anything
for
in
that
regard
and
speaking
to
us
just
lightly
to
this
different
penalties.
The
reason
we
brought
this
to
the
council-
and
this
context
was
because
there
had
been
a
reported
about
taking
people
jumping
off
their.
C
I
Their
head
is
gone
through
their
really
elongated
process
of
coming
to
you
in
and
then
waiting
for
this
to
be
scheduled.
The
beach
season
will
be
closely
over
before
you
take
any
action,
so
this
seemed
to
be
the
best
place
to
sort
of
slide
it
in
and
get
some
immediate
relief
to
our
officers.
But
there
was
the
consideration
of
using.
I
But
we
wanted
to
know
to
compromise,
sir,
to
what
you're
suggesting
is
that
we
go
ahead
and
keep
this,
as
we
proposed
in
this
particular
section
and
instead,
at
a
future
date
amend
section
657
of
the
code,
because
the
pimp
to
the
penalties-
and
it
will
not
only
apply
to
just
this
activity
but
a
number
of
the
other
things
that
are
prohibited.
Remember
they're,
all
just
related,
so
you
might
want
to
use
that
opportunity
to
enhance
the
penalties
for
other
activities
as
well.
B
I
want
to
add
to
that
I
think
it's
important
that
we
we
provide
some
type
of
sign
language.
That's
of
the
entrance
to
appear
similar
to
the
handicap
parking
space,
that's
challenged
in
in
front
of
a
Judicial
System,
but
there's
no
forewarning
provided
for
them.
Then
a
lot
of
times
I've
seen
many
times
in
the
past.
The
the
technical
test
space
is
not
properly
marked.
People
are
going
to
be
excused
of
defining
the
happiest
so.
J
Yes,
I
agree
with
Mr
Greg,
also
too
I
think
you
know
he
mentioned
you
know
group
of
guys
would
pitch
in
the
ten
dollars
and
that's
a
quick
easy,
especially
not
with
social
media
I.
Think
people
will
do
it
just
for
likes
and
going
viral
and
think
we
want
to
prevent
that,
especially
the
sort
of
safety
right
now,
there's
a
there's,
a
high
school
kid
from
Louisiana
onto
the
Bahamas,
his
friends
they're
having
to
jump
up
to
the
boat
or
the
they
were
on
now
he's
missing.
J
D
Surprised
we
have
to
do
this
and
I
thought
there
was
something
on
the
books
previously,
but
unfortunately
this
is
society
we
live
in
and
you
know
there's
a
sign
outside
McDonald's.
It
says
the
coffee's
hot,
so
I
do
agree
with
the
increasing
the
penalty.
I
definitely
think
we
need
to
have
out
there
I'm
I,
just
I.
We
need
to
make
sure
that
people
don't
do
this,
because
if
this
goes
having
jumped
off
that
Pier
multiple
times
in
training,
there
is
a
technique
to
it.
D
There
are
a
lot
of
things
that
are
involved
and
they
can
go
wrong.
I
assuming
go
wrong
with
lifeguards
and
training,
no
severe
injuries,
but
people
can
get
hurt
very
quickly
and
spinal
cord
injuries.
Things
like
that
or
horrible
things
that
could
put
number
one
on
us
at
risk.
Numbers
Institute
of
Jacksonville
risk,
We,
Can't,
Stop
people
from
being
stupid,
but
we
can
I
agree
that
we
should
do
the
best
we
can
and
then
also
to
prevent
loss
of
life.
So
I
just
want
to
see
us
get
this
right.
F
I
agree
with
everyone
who's
spoken
prior
to
me.
I
do
believe
that
I
thought
the
same
thing
council
member
said
and
fifty
dollars
is
laughable,
I'm
sure
to
a
lot
of
people
and
not
certainly
not
a
deterrent
by
any
means,
so
I
would
certainly
support
in
the
future.
Us
looking
at
the
at
the
fines
and
there
I
believe
there
may
be
other
things
that
we
may
want
to
have
increased
fines
for
as
well
so
I
I
think
we
could
do
a
closer
look
at
that
in
the
future
and
also.
