From YouTube: Blue Ribbon Committee Meeting 09/19/2018
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Good
morning
today
is
September
19th
about
19
and
we
are
at
the
Olympic
Committee
for
people
with
disabilities
and
I'd
like
to
start
the
meeting.
This
point
I'd
like
to
call
to
order,
and
the
first
second
item
on
the
agenda
is
the
approval
of
minutes
of
8
August
15
2008,
two
minutes
I
know
you
all
have
had
time
to
review.
A
A
D

A
A
E
A
Do
you
all
recall,
raise
the
prices
on
the
lift,
depending
on
the
distance
that
it
was
transporting
every
individual
and
so
on
many
occasions,
some
of
the
individuals
with
disabilities
have
jobs,
but
they
only
work
two
or
three
hours
a
day,
and
so
the
cost
itself
would
literally
diminish
their
names
by
an
entire
hours
worth
of
salary
in
some
occasions,
and
so,
if
you
all
recall
the
last
time
that
we
were
with
that,
we
met
through
the
recommendation
of
dr.
Vaughn
sabe,
send
the
energy
and
an
actual
equals
find
mr.
A
battle,
the
committee
wrote
a
letter
to
the
City.
Council
asked
him
to
reconsider
and
we
sin
potentially
rescind
to
reduce
the
cost
of
that
increase
that
they
had
approved
a
year
ago,
and
my
understand
is
in
the
most
recent
budget
mean
the
city
council
did
approve
the
reduction
of
those
costs
where
they
increase
in
and
so
I
probably
won't
go
into
effect
until
December,
but
once
again
an
effort
to
try
to
improve.
A
In
fact,
many
disabilities
have
a
population.
There
are
citizens.
I'm
gonna
have
to
thank
mr.
battle
for
bringing
that
awareness
that
not
for
it
is
in
sight.
Most
of
us
probably
would
not
be
aware
of
the
kinds
of
consequence
and
complications
that
people
with
disabilities
running
to
so
again,
your
committee,
so
many
thanks.
C
For
being
here,
mr.
chair
I
was
gonna,
ask
also
the
rest
of
the
agencies.
There
are
other
services
to
more
related
to
item
number
one
or
persons
visually
impaired,
or
you
hear
of
persons
having
problems.
Was
there
please?
Let
us
know
so.
I
don't
know
if
there's
many
other
activities
also
from
the
different
agencies.
F
For
disability
awareness
month,
yes,
I
was
actually
just
trying
to
do
to
Center
the
job,
fair,
we're
having
a
disability
job
fair
that
we've
had.
This
is
our
fifth
year
and
we're
I'm
gonna
go
ahead
and
forward
that
we
have
the
final
invitation
so
I'm
going
to
send
that
to
you
guys,
that's
what
I
was
doing
great
now,
it'll
be
on
October,
the
25th
and
the
ambassador
in
that
Center
from
8:00
to
noon.
And
again
this
is
our
fifth
annual.
So
we're
really
excited
about
it.
F
F
This
fifth
year
anniversary
their
five
consecutive
years
that
we
have
done
it
pushing
through
the
last
two
years
of
all
the
changes
we
still
have
it
and
so
I
think
that's
very
commendable
for
for
our
staff,
because
it's
it's
like
a
wedding
I,
always
say
that
it's
like
a
wedding.
You
need
to
find
a
venue.
You
need
to
see
how
you're
gonna
feed
people
you
need
to
invite
everyone,
and
then
it's
like
you,
keep
your
fingers
crossed
the
day
of
its
it's
a
it's
a
lot
of
work.
F
It
takes
all
year,
we
add
one
and
we
begin
planning
for
the
NAG,
so
I'm
just
really
proud
of
our
crew
that
we
we
continue
to
keep
the
customer
first
and
said
no
matter.
What's
going
on
we're
gonna
do
what
we
got
to
do,
because
these
individuals
need
us.
They
need
this.
So
it's
it's
exciting,
so
I'll
be
sending
it.
F
It's
I
love
this
flowers,
like
my
favorite
from
the
past
five.
G
F
You
mean
the
businesses
that
are
there
to
hire
the
businesses.
What
we
have
found
is
that
these
are
the
businesses
that
either
have
already
hired
our
customers
or,
yes,
are
willing
to
have
a
diverse
workforce,
and
so
every
year
we
try
to
get
new
businesses
on
board,
but
we
only
have
so
much
space,
though
so
we
usually
target
those
that
have
come
because
it
will
come
again
and
so
what
we've
tried
to
do.
But
it's
been
really
difficult.
F
It's
kind
of
like
a
moving
target
is
try
to
get
stats
from
the
job
fairs,
but
you
know
how
difficult
that
is,
because
sometimes
our
customers
get
hired
and
they
don't
tell
us
that
it
was
because
of
someone
they
talk
to
at
the
job
fair.
They
don't
even
remember.
Sometimes
the
businesses,
don't
always
tell
us,
hey.
We
hired
one
of
your
folks
so
but
I
think.
F
Of
course
the
hiring
of
individuals
with
disabilities
is
key,
but
I
think
what
it
also
has
done
is
it
has
brought
attention
to
that
need
for
businesses
to
be
willing
to
have
a
diverse
workforce
and
because
we've
had
them
there
every
single
year.
That
helps
because
what
the
mayor
supports
the
community
sees
as
important
and
I
think
that
those
job
fairs
have
indirectly
impacted
a
lot
of
other
initiatives
that
we
have
one
perfect
example:
it's
the
city
of
Laredo,
you
know
dr.
F
Gonzalez
and
his
crew
were
pioneers
and
opening
up
their
doors
to
the
seal,
which
is
like
a
kissing
cousin
of
the
job
fair,
because
they're
the
same
people
looking
for
jobs
and
now
we
have
mr.
keto
had
scheduled
HR
now
is
coming
to
VR,
to
teach
us
how
to
apply
for
city
job
and
in
the
past.
If
I
might
be
honest,
dr.
Gonzales,
it
was
very
hard
to
bring
city
of
Laredo
to
the
LDA
table
and
we
wanted
them
so
desperately
and
I.
F
Think
that,
because
of
how
Lda
was
in
the
past,
there
were
some
missteps
on
our
part,
and
maybe
we,
you
know,
didn't
keep
that
rapport.
But
now
the
city
of
Laredo
is
saying
we
want
to
open
up
the
doors
for
summer
and
learn
and
hiring
individuals
with
disabilities,
not
just
the
health
department,
but
the
entire
city
of
Laredo,
and
that
for
us,
we've
been
trying
to
do
that.
For
at
least
the.
F
Years
since
I've
been
here,
I
don't
know
much
before
that,
so
these
job
fairs
are
more
than
just
fill
out
an
application
and
hope
to
get
hired
they're
telling
the
community
hey.
These
individuals
live
here
too.
They
also
want
a
purpose
in
life.
They
also
want
to
make
a
difference
and
I
think
that
after
five
years
we
can
see
the
brown
the
ground
starting
to
break.
And
it's
it's
just
it's
an
awesome
thing:
it's
not
a
perfect
process,
but
it's
working,
it's
working,
and
so
we
what
we
do.
F
D
F
That's
a
person
with
a
disability
that
is
invested
in
what
we
are
doing,
and
so,
if
he's
not
a
company,
does
that
matter?
If
it's
one
person
trying
to
make
a
difference,
then
he's
part
of
the
team,
so
it
has
been
I
just
sometimes
I
get
emotional.
Just
thinking
of
how
far
we
have
come
from
just
2013,
it's
amazing.
So
this
is
really
important
for
us
and
we
don't
do
it
alone.
You
know
we
always
used
to
put
city
over
the
radio
and
dr.
Gonzales
would
say
well,
we've
seen
the
radio
was
there.
I
C
You
so
much
well!
No
thank
you
all
and
I
appreciate
your
your
appreciation,
but
I
tell
you.
You
are
making
an
impact
in
the
city
to
piggyback
on
what
was
said.
The
mayor
brought
up
an
issue
at
one
of
the
council
meetings
telling
a
charm
that
they
wanted
to
make
sure
that
HR
was
designating
support
and
training
to
hire
people
with
disabilities
within
the
city,
similar
to
what
it
had
done
to
designate
veterans.
A
A
F
And
I
think
even
from
a
more
global
perspective,
things
are
changing
like
Disney
shows
on
to
rats,
and
what's
that
show
with
the
joes
with
intellectual
disability,
where
one
of
them
is
like
kind
of
an
entreprenuer
and
hello
kitty
to
her
took
her
on
she
was
she
had
a
personal
business
where
she
did
like
tie-dye,
shirts
and
now
she's
contracted
I
mean
in
the
real
world
she's
contracted
with
Hello
Kitty
like
Hello
Kitty,
and
that
is
part
of
that
show.
That
is
showing
that
these
people
can
make
a
difference.
F
They're
creative
they
can,
they
can
contribute
to.
You
know
to
our
nation's
economy,
I
mean
it's
not
just
give
them
a
purpose
and
get
them
off
the
couch
they
can
contribute,
like
any
other
person,
can
and
I
think
that
globally
we're
starting
to
see
it
started
being
normalized.
If
you
will-
and
it's
not
a
scary
thing
like
what
do
we
do,
you
know
so
I
think
this
is
it's
like
the
waters
are
stirring,
and
this
is
like
a
perfect
time
to
continue
to
push
forward
with
what
we
do
so.
A
No
a
Chinese
speak
to,
and
it's
from
my
experience
where
they
do
is
you
who
have
disabilities
was
emotional
and
physical.
They
will
tell
you.
What
do
you
want
me
to
tell
you
the
most
difficult,
challenging
things
for
an
individual,
so
the
population
was
never
dealt
with
an
individual
with
us.
Do
I
need
to
treat
them
to
friend
me,
okay,
how
do
I
treat
them
to
from
me
you're
a
find
out
that
most
individuals
with
disability
they
don't
you
be
differently
I'm,
with
different
to
be
normal?
A
Okay,
I,
don't
want
any
handouts,
they
don't
want
any
freebies.
I,
don't
want
you
to
have
pity
on
me
just
be
normal,
and
that
includes
in
all
spectrums
of
disabilities.
Okay,
when
people
tell
you
just
just
give
me
a
chance,
get
read
to
me
normal
and
I
think
that's
that
fence.
That's
chicken
a1,
okay,
but
as
you
say
that
it's
it's
people
with
disabilities
are
being
interpreting
Jerry
I,
don't
like.
We
all
have
seen
America's
Got
Talent.
F
D
C
C
I
know:
I,
don't
see
it's
next.
You
know
ask
the
committee:
we
can
move
up
D
because
part
of
the
promotion
you
I'd
requested
into
a
video
and
we
did
our
department
Erica.
It
takes
the
D
making
sure
that
can
replace
the
the
interns
to
students
for
the
main
thing
they
with
lavell.
We
sent
it
to
you,
but
someone
had
said
they
didn't
see
it.
So
I
asked
her
if
she
could
show
it
to
your
little
college.
Pal.
D
D
H
Collaboration
burrito
college
and
Texas
workforce.
We
did
work
in
an
internship
opportunity
or
activity
with
them.
This
gentleman
had
just
completed
his
cyber
security
certification
and
we
were
able
to
accommodate
him
here
with
our
IT
department.
So
I
received
amazing
comments
from
him.
He
was
very
quiet.
We
didn't
get
to
interact
with
him
a
lot,
but
he's
really
chatty
in
this
video.
So.
H
But
I
mean
I
got
a
comment
from
one
of
our
IT
staffers.
That
said,
you
know
what
today
I
learned
something
from
him.
You
know
something
I
didn't
know
before,
and
he
was
able
to
share
that.
So
it
should
have
that.
You
know
interaction
and
collaboration.
I
think
was
great
and
you'll
hear
a
little
bit
more
about
this
program
in.
K
K
Well,
my
dad
I'd
be
keen.
He
always
stays
positive,
always
helped
me
out
through
everything
when
we
went
to
the
first
orientation.
He
came
with
me
and
it
opened
my
eyes
because
I
knew
that
it
wasn't
going
to
be
Kingdom.
I.
Think
people
ordered
that
I
already
have
a
bigger
knowledge
of
everything.
People.
J
From
different
backgrounds,
I
was
certain
things
of
backgrounds
can't
take
their
class.
Someone
was
in
the
HVAC
fuel,
some
love
people
work,
the
part
of
police
force
and
different
back
from
that
look,
no
connection
to
computers.
I
was
surprised
about
this
little
boy
into
the
sea.
Now
they
wanna
know
it's
great
I
think
it's
very
important
feeling
in
the
future.
L
I
am
dr.:
Rodney
actually
is
executive
director
for
strategic
and
external
initiatives
at
the
riddle.
College
this
cyber
security
analyst
program.
We
are
able
to
offer
a
six-week
program
from
8:00
to
4:00,
it's
a
very
intense,
very
robust
program,
but
once
you
get
through
that
six
weeks
program,
then
you
test
for
a
certification,
and
this
is
recognized.
K
So
my
drinks
I
think
they
should
do
it
because
it
helps
expand
the
knowledge
in
cybersecurity
and
the
way
that
it
was
taught
from
the
from
the
instructor.
It
helped
open
my
eyes
possibilities
out
there
for.
J
K
L
Like
to
tell
those
individuals
who
are
concentrating
whether
or
not
to
pursue
a
certificate
or
an
industry-recognized
certification
to
take
that
and
equal
pay,
you
know
to
go
ahead
and
come
in
and
try
to
burn
that
certification
than
they
have
been
aspiring
together,
or
you
know
that
associate's.
If
you
do
about
certificate,
that
I
should
just
start
and
why
education
is
exceedances
success
and
with
opportunities
we
offer
here
at
River
College.
There
is
no
reason
why.
D
F
He's
a
drummer
that
he
misses
customer,
but
it's
like
you
have
Laredo
college,
the
health
department.
We
our
workforce
all
together
to
make
this
happen,
like
that's
what
it's
about
those
those
partnerships,
and
let
me
tell
you
that
not
for
FY
19,
one
of
our
benchmarks
now
that
we're
under
the
workforce
is
going
to
be
credentialing,
so
they
want
to
see
more
of
this.
F
We
have
have
to
have
a
58
percent
rate
of
individuals
that
come
to
us
and
leave
with
a
renewal
with
some
kind
of
increase
in
education,
whether
it's
they
didn't
have
a
GED,
and
now
they
do
they
have
a
high
school
diploma
and
they
didn't
before
an
associate's
and
sort
of
certificates
some
to
the
end.
So
it's
not
just
about
employment
anymore,
no,
exciting!
It's.
D
F
I
That
education
and
the
CL
8
is
pushing
very
much
so
so
we've
got
apprenticeship,
you
know
that
we're
working
through
and
the
fast
track
training
those
certifications,
because
there's
a
lot
of
money
for
these
folks
to
make
with
those
certifications.
So
the
state
is
put
in
pushing
a
lot
of
those
fast
track
training
get
in
get
out
and
get
it
done
because
we're
not
about
things
not
about
them,
but
everybody
to
work.
Yeah.
D
I
To
an
apprenticeship
training
that
is
I
traveled
today,
but
we'll
be
Thursday
and
Friday,
and
it
is
amazing
what
these
colleges
and
these
communities
do.
I
know
that
last
year,
when
we
attended,
they
have
the
students
from
the
vocational.
So
they
had
the
plumber,
the
electrician.
The
construction
from
school
build
the
tiny
homes
for
the
homeless
people.
They
did
a
little
homeless
community.
H
M
H
H
H
I
G
D
C
M
H
From
what
I
understand,
Elsie
was
going
to
use
it
for
right
now
internally
to
promote
their
their
program,
your
cybersecurity
program,
but
I
think
that's
one
of
their.
The
you
know
one
of
the
purposes
for
the
video.
What
we
can
also
consider
is,
we
know
the
the
person
that
drafted
it
or
that
created
it
and
we
can't
pursue.
Maybe
that
could
be
directly
to,
of
course,
with
the
agreement
of
LC
to
maybe
use
the
same
footage,
but
with
the
message
of
hiring
people
with
disabilities.
G
I
H
I
I
Of
her
time,
so
if
there's
something
in
the
works
that
we
want
to
put
together,
as
a
committee
I
mean
we
we
can
tap
into
you
know
we
don't
need
to
take
their
thunder,
we
can
create
ours,
you
know
how
we
want
it
to
be
in
may
be
all
the
different
scopes
of
an
individual
disabilities
to
shed
light
on.
You
know
their
abilities,
I,
think
that
would
be
affected.
G
B
M
I
D
I
I
You
could
inject
the
night
to
shine
there
to
because
that's
her
community.
Yes,
you
know,
and
the
night
Rashad
was
an
amazing,
available
and
I
think
a
lot
of
people
and
miss
the
opportunity,
because
that
was
amazing
and
this
year's
gonna
be
even
bigger,
because
you
can
imagine
word-of-mouth
and
everything
else
cuz.
They
were
granted.
I
Here,
what
I
love
is
they're
highlighting
you
know.
Well,
the
college
did
the
actual
grant,
because
that
money
they
actually
footed
we're
working
on
a
second
one
for
cybersecurity
through
a
tip
grant
with
them
to
do
a
second
class.
So
the
state
and
the
college
and
ourselves
would
put
that
together.
We've
got
to
find
the
folks
to
trains.
They've
got
to
be
real
eligible,
but
I
think
it
would
be
an
amazing
to
me
an
idea
when
you
have
the
footage
of
city
of
leather.
I
M
D
C
C
H
H
F
Mention
I
used
to
know
someone
like
this
turned
out.
He
was
dead,
yeah
I
want
to
say
David
got
aside,
but
he
hasn't
been
at
the
LDA
meetings
lately,
but.
D
F
D
H
I
B
I
B

I

I
M

F
B
I
F
F
I
I
I
F
Well,
I
wanna
announce
we're
doing
a
sensitivity,
training
for
the
City
of
Laredo,
that's
great
good.
We
it
was
requested
by
mr.
cuddles
well
and
there
my
understanding
it's
two
whole
days
and
it's
going
to
be
a
repetition
from
the
morning
there
basically
four
different
trainings,
if
you
will
but
I'm,
assuming
there's
so
much
stuff
that
they're
having
to
break
it
up.
H
D
H
B
B
B
D
D
F
F
D
F
I
mean
there
hasn't
been
anyone
that
we
have
ever
said
like.
Oh,
we
can't
do
it.
You
know
we.
We
have
taken
up
every
single
request
and
we
have
followed
it
through
to
the
end,
so
it
never
has
been
an
issue
of
availability
to
this
day.
You
know
we
make
it
happen,
even
though
a
couple
of
our
presenters
from
Corbin
out
of
town,
why
kind
of
San
Antonio,
but
they
come,
they
come
they're,
very
reliable
and
so
is
worthwhile.
So
far,.
M
B
H
D
M
A
Spoken
about
this
was
that
we
would
try
to
interface
our
membership
based
on
them
from
the
mayor's
turn
for
four
years.
Okay,
so
I
know
that
the
mayor
is
this:
Germany
is
expiring
in
December,
and
so
at
that
time
it's
it's.
This
decision
is
it's
assuming
that
he
has
reelected
to
office.
It's
his
choice,
whether
he
wants
us
to
remain
on
this
coming
year,
whether
he
would
need
to
replace
it
with
someone
else
and
I
think
that
overall
most
of
the
members,
the
community
agree
to
that.
A
B
B
A
C
Is
already
expressed
and
if
he
continues
them
before
you,
he
was
the
comedian
continue
the
members,
so
it
would
be
again
your
decision,
but
as
far
as
he's
concerned
also-
and
they
didn't
reflect
it
in
the
minutes-
you
all
had
discussed
and
not
the
last
meeting
the
previous
one
people
can
rotate,
but
the
agency's
forearm
should
stay
we
need
to
school.
We
need
a
rehabilitation,
we
need
the
the
different
workforce.
C
And
we
need
to
the
consumers
are
stakeholders.
So
if
you
have
a
right
mix,
people
could
change,
but
you
want
the
agencies.
The
mayor
also
did
ask
again
recommendations
from
you
all
to
to
let
him
know
when
someone
is
gonna
rotate.
He
he'd
like
to
hear
from
you
who
do
you
recommend
as
well
as
and
which
I
think
you
all
had
the
discussion
to
the
previous
Brittney.
Is
there
any
other
agency
that
you
want
not.
C
A
voting
member,
but
you
can
always
have
stakeholders
consumers
to
come,
participate
in
the
meetings
I
mentioned
here:
the
drug
and
alcohol
commission.
You
have
the
commission
members
that
are
that
are
appointed
by
each
council
member.
The
mayor,
there's
a
vote,
but
at
each
leading
gained
by
all
of
the
agencies
that
they'd
have
a
service
for
alcohol
and
drug
abuse
and
their
major
fault
there.
Yeah
I
always
come,
but
they
voted
that
they
wanted,
then
to
come
and
so
I
every
invitation.
C
When
we
have
the
dreaded
on
formal
Commission
meetings,
they
get
invited
to
so
far.
They've
had
eight
meetings
at
our
meetings
and
they
all
come
and
that's
something
you
all
could
do
as
well.
If
there's
an
agency
missing
you
could
we
usually
know
when
we
can
invite
them,
they
can
invite
them
to
come.
Listen
to
each
committee
member,
but.
I
What
honestly
I
almost
a
think,
that's
just
my
hand,
so
our
strength
here
Ryan
and
our
strong.
We
are
the
number
one
in
done
for
there's
a
lot
of
activity.
So
why
don't
we
have
somebody
representing
I,
don't
know
if
it's
the
brokers,
Association
or
the
logistics
and
transportation
or
the
radio
motor
carriage,
because
those
guys
have
the
jobs,
and
that
would
be
a
great
strategic
plan
because
we
are
I
mean.
D
I
With
some
unit,
trade
and
they've
got
unit
rate,
forwarding
unit
rate
logistics
and
unit
rate
brokerage,
so
there
are
three
entities
and
one
we're
doing
a
skills
grant
with
them
to
train
up
their
people,
and
we
need
those
people
at
the
table.
I
mean
because
of
strategically
correct
geographically,
where
we
are
located.
That's.
I
H
B
C
E
C
Chief
of
police,
so
they
they
come
here
because
we
wanted
to
live
that
accessible
parking
one
and
then
hiring,
and
so
now,
if
you
want
the
other
agencies
might
because
the
brokers
association
we
can
invite
them,
should
let
me
know,
and
they
can
come
into
presentation.
That's
part
of
your
outreach
to
yeah
so
that
they
know
what's
going
over
people
with
disabilities.
