Fine Arts and Culture Commission 061820
A
Okay,
this
is
from
Tina
peel,
representing
the
co-founder.
Her
comments
are
developers
working
with
district
5
Councilwoman
bill
mutt
to
design
and
execute
a
small
mural
at
the
robert
Theano
special
needs
park.
The
mural
design
is
led
by
a
member
of
a
special
needs
community.
We
hope
to
share
an
image
of
it
with
a
commission.
A
A
There's
two
back
walls:
I
know,
you've
all
been
at
City
Council
and
those
are
82
inches
wide,
seven
and
a
half
feet
tall
and
then
there's
a
wall
behind
where
city
manager
sits,
that's
160
inches
by
13
feet.
Tall
is
looking
for
maybe
something
on
permanent
loan
to
display
at
the
City
Council
Chambers
permanently
he's
looking
for
maybe
something
traditional
or
contemporary.
A
realistic
painting,
in
other
words,
that
depicts
historical
cultural,
relevant
aspects
of
the
city
or
the
state
of
Texas
I.
A
A
Oh
they're
they're
pretty
big,
but
it
doesn't
have
to
fit
the
whole
world.
The
ones
in
the
back
are
naughty
two
inches
wide
by
seven
and
a
half
feet
tall,
but
it
doesn't
have
to
take
up
the
whole
wall
and
then
there's
one
wall
behind
the
city
managers
desk.
That's
a
hundred
and
sixty
inches
wide
and
just
a
little
over
13.
A
F
Everybody
can
hear
me,
okay,
right,
okay,
all
right
great
good,
and
we
are
right
in
the
middle
of
the
process
there
due
on
July
the
night
and
folks
can
submit
them
electronically
through
an
email
or
they
can
also
drop
off
their
proposals
with
our
office
at
the
Environmental
Services
Department
I
have
had
some
interest.
I've,
probably
spoken
to
about
four
different
artists
whose
give
Odyssey
is
helping
us
promote
it
as
well.
F
F
He
would
like
to
have
three
members
of
Cape
Laredo,
Beautiful's
Commission
and
two
members
of
the
Fine
Arts
and
Culture
Commission
score
and
rank
the
proposals
once
we
received
them,
and
so
that's
what
I'm
seeking
tonight
I
know
you
guys
are
a
wonderful
group
of
volunteers
and
we
want
to
put
you
to
work.
So
that's
what
I'm
here
to
ask
for
tonight
to
see
if
there's
anybody
that
would
be
interested
in
working
with
us
on
that
I'm
retired.
F
A
F
A
A
F
Yes,
who
you
are
probably
madam
chair,
I'll,
probably
be
reaching
out
to
you
via
email
but
whatever's,
more
comfortable
for
you.
I
can
work
with
whatever
medium
we
can
call
each
other.
We
can
email
each
other,
but
I'll,
send
you
information
via
email,
first
and
then
just
follow-up.
If
that's
all
right.
A
Mission,
these
were
due
in
April,
I,
believe
or
the
the
port
laureate
was
scheduled
to
be
appointed
at
City,
Council,
of
course
Hoban.
So
we
did
not
get
a
chance
to
do
that.
We
did
receive
one
application
and
I
don't
I
was
looking.
One
of
the
options
was
to
appoint
that
person
at
the
port
lorry
or
another
option
is
to
maybe
wait
till
next
year.
A
A
C
Would
probably
be
better
since
we've
had
a
lot
of
distractions
since
Spring
Break,
and
you
know
so
it's
it's,
it
would
be
I
think
it
would
be
a
good
idea
just
to
let
all
this
kind
of
past
a
little
bit
until
we
can
all
get
used
to
living
with
with
this
situation
in
October
I
think
would
be
a
good
one
yeah
to.
A
A
As
soon
I
did
sent
you
the
item,
that
was
in
the
City
Council
meeting
for
Monday
and
City
Council
voted
on
how
they
are
going
to
use
the
three
hundred
and
thirty
six
thousand
dollars
that
from
the
certificates
of
obligation,
yeah
the
two
percent
from
the
ordinance,
and
they
did
decide
to
the
first
ten
thousand
to
go
ahead
and
use
it
to
match
funds
from
the
Rio
Grande,
the
International
Study
Center,
or
a
grant
application
that
they
are
submitting
its
match.
For
that
the
remainder
of
that
amount.
A
A
A
E
True
and
I
think
they
would
still
right
now.
They
just
wanted
to
make
sure
every
district
had
artwork
so
that
it
wouldn't
be
just
concentrated
in
one
area,
but
I
still
think
that
this
commission
would
have
a
discussion
to
make
a
recommendation.
So
that's
that's
something
they
still
didn't
want
to
keep
it
that
they
have
the
finest
thing
now,
and
it
was
again
just
more
so
that
they
would
have
visual
representation
of
art
in
all
sites.
