scheduled
meeting

executive
committee
for
the
city
of
Minneapolis
October,
8th,
2014
I
am
mayor,
Betsy
Hodges,
chair
of
the
committee
joined
this
morning
by
council,
councilmember,
Gordon,
council,
vice-president
glidden
Council,
President
Johnson
and
councilmember
Reich.
We
are
a
quorum
of
the
committee
where
the
whole
committee
and
can
conduct
the
city's
business.
We
have
one
item
on
our
agenda
today
and
that
is
from
the
department
of
human
resources
and
consideration
of
a
recommendation
regarding
the
internal
auditor

Mayor
and
members
of
the
executive
committee
we're
here
today
to
consider
a
market
exception
for
an
existing
pointed
position.
The
position
title
had
been
asked
to
clarify
that
we're
recommending
and
actually
is,
internal
auditor,
and
you
may
have
seen
some
previous
paperwork.
That
said
director
of
internal
audit,
and
that
is
not
correct.

is
internal

The
internal
auditor
exists
to
provide
professional
auditing
services
to
the
city.
The
position
establishes
guidelines,
policies
and
procedures
for
conducting
internal
audits,

examine
the
manner
in
which
the
city
resources
are
being
deployed
and
protected.

of

the
adequacy
of
the
control
systems
identifies
opportunities
to
improve
operating
performance
and
consultant
coordinates
with
department
management
and
elected
officials
for
the
effective
implementation
of
the
adopted
recommendations.
Internal
auditor
jobs

this

advanced
finance,
accounting
and
auditing
knowledge
and
experience
and
are
in
demand
in
the
employment
market
and

in
the
private
sector
and
the
public
sector.

resources

consulting
LLC
to
assist
the
city
of
Minneapolis
with
the
market
analysis
for
the
position

salary
recommendation
that
would
competitively

city
of

retain

candidate
for
this
important
position.

human
resources
department
