Have
a
proper
motion
before
us:
if
there's
any
discussion,
any
discussion
see
none
all
those
in
favor
say:
aye
aye,
any
opposed,
say,
nay,
the
eyes
have
it
and
the
agenda
is
adopted,
because
this
is
an
organizational
meeting.
We
will
not
be
accepting
our
minutes
from
the
last
meeting
that
occurred
in
December.
We
will
be
accepting
those
minutes
at
our
next
regular
meeting.
A
Item
number
three
is
election
and
before
I
hand
it
over
to
our
clerk
to
conduct
the
election.
I
want
to
make
sure
we
give
a
warm
welcome
to
our
newly
appointed
Minneapolis
Parks
Board
representative
commissioner,
commissioner
Kathy
abini,
so
welcome.
We
are
happy
and
proud
to
have
you
serve
and
excited
to
work
with
you
this
year.
A
B
Members,
this
item
of
business
is
the
election
of
the
body's
officers
as
set
forth
in
section
3.2
of
the
bylaws
in
terms
of
procedure.
I
intend
to
administer
the
election
for
both
President
and
Vice
President,
and
we
will
follow
the
same
procedure
for
both
offices.
That
procedure
will
be
as
follows:
first,
I'll
open
the
floor
for
nominations.
After
all,
nominations
have
been
made.
The
nominating
period
will
be
closed
once
the
nomination
period
is
closed.
No
further
nominations
will
be
accepted.
B
Second,
after
the
nominations
period
is
closed.
We
will
proceed
to
take
the
vote
by
roll
call.
There'll
be
a
separate
vote
on
each
nominee.
We
will
consider
an
act
on
each
nomination
in
the
order
it
was
received.
Voting
will
be
done
by
roll
call
and
I
will
call
the
roll
third.
The
nominee
who
receives
the
majority
vote
will
be
declared.
The
winner
of
the
election
once
the
president
and
vice
president
have
been
announced.
I
will
turn
the
meeting
over
to
the
president
to
preside
over
the
remainder
of
the
agenda.
B
D
B
C
Thank
you,
Clerk
and
I
I
just
want
to
thank
vice
president
for
bringing
forth
discrimination
and
really
support
president
presence
and
and
continuing
in
this
role
of
leadership
of
this
body.
C
I'm
I've
been
really
very
I,
guess
moved
by
her
commitment
to
equity
and
ensuring
that
we
are
considering
the
most
marginalized
communities
as
we
make
these
really
difficult
and
challenging
decisions
about
the
city's
budget,
and
so
grateful
for
your
leadership
in
the
past
and
and
look
forward
to
serving
with
you
in
that
role.
Moving
forward.
E
Thank
you,
clerk
I,
appreciate
that
and
just
want
to
Echo
the
sentiments.
I.
Don't
think
anybody
could
say
it
any
better,
but
I'm
grateful
that
vice
president
Brandt
has
nominated
Miss
priest
and
sin
and
I
look
forward
to
continuing
the
good
work
that
you've
brought
forward.
So
thank
you.
B
Seeing
no
further
request
to
comment,
we
will
proceed
to
vote
on
the
nomination
to
elect
Samantha
pre
Stinson
to
the
office
of
president
on
the
nomination
of
Samantha
priest
Stinson
for
president
board
member
Frye
board
member
of
Benny
aye
board
member
Jenkins
board
member
Koski
aye.
Vice
president
Brandt
aye,
president
priest
Stinson
aye,
there
are
six
eyes
that
motion
carries
and
president
priest
Stinson
has
been
elected.
President.
B
A
A
The
way
that
he
builds
relationships
is
all
very
much
so
appreciated
and
I
love
his
lens
at
the
way
that
he
looks
at
the
world.
So
I
am
more
than
happy
to
nominate
Steve
Brent
for
vice
president
and
I
hope.
My
colleagues
will
join
me
in
supporting
him
to
be
our
vice
president.
Again.
B
C
Thank
you
again
and
I
I
do
just
really
appreciate
vice
president
Brandt's
thoughtfulness
that
and
preparedness
that
he
brings
to
these
meetings
and
I
will
acknowledge
that
he
lives
in
the
beautiful
Ward,
eight
and
so
I
may
be
a
little
biased,
but
I'm
I'm
really
grateful
for
your
service
on
this
body.
Sir,
thank
you.
B
Any
further
comments,
seeing
no
further
request
to
comment,
we
will
proceed
to
vote
on
the
nomination
to
elect
vice
president
Brandt
to
the
office
of
Vice
President
on
the
nomination
of
board
member
Brant
for
vice
president
board
member
Frye
aye.
Thank
you.
Both
board
member
Benny
aye
board
member
Jenkins
aye
board
member
Koski
aye.
Vice
president
Brandt
hi.
B
A
So
thank
you
again
for
your
trust
and
I'm
looking
forward
to
the
year.
Let's
get
on
with
our
business,
which
is
public
comment.
We
don't
have
anybody
for
public
comment
today
and
we
didn't
have
any
comments
online.
So
we
will
move
past
that
our
first
discussion
item
is
item
six
on
the
agenda,
which
is
the
annual
review
of
our
bylaws.
Does
anyone
wish
to
discuss
or
to
propose
any
changes
to
our
bylaws.
A
D
I
understand
this
to
mean
that
we
would
be
adopting
meeting
dates
as
set
here,
but
is
an
intended
that
the
blank
meeting
dates
not
be
actual
meetings
or
are
those
are.
Those
are
normal
meeting
dates
and
we
just
haven't
filled
them
in
with
an
agenda
item
or
is
it
our
intent,
for
example,
to
meet
on
January
25th
through
February,
8th.
A
So
typically,
the
BT
would
meet
every
other
Wednesday,
but
we
don't
always
have
business
to
conduct.
Certainly
business
could
come
through,
but
as
of
now,
the
blanks
mean
that
we
don't
have
planned
business
for
those
dates,
so
the
clerk
always
reaches
out
usually
the
week
before,
just
to
verify
that
we
don't
have
any
items
before
she
moves
forward
with
putting
through
the
system
that
the
meeting
is
canceled
and
the
notifications
going
out
is
kind
of
the
process
there
and
I
just
think
just
want
to
name
one
other
consideration.
A
If
a
new
business
item
pops
up
or
for
some
reason,
we
do
need
to
call
a
special
meeting.
We
do
have
to
take
into
account
that
it
takes
some
time
to
set
up
for
broadcasting.
So
we
just
need
to
think
about
that.
If
we
do
end
up
having
to
make
a
change
that
we
communicate
with
our
clerks
to
make
sure
that
it's
possible
so
that
the
meeting
can
continue
to
be
broadcasted.
D
So
these
are
hold
the
date.
It's
a
hold
of
date,
calendar
and
well,
as
we
did
this
year,
make
decisions
based
on
the
agenda
is
the
organization
of
topics
here.
My
understanding
is
that
maybe
the
clerk's
office
did
this
using
our
past
Year's
agenda
as
a
reference,
but
is
that
flexible
we're
not
locking
into
doing
X
presentation
on
X
date?
Necessarily
by
adopting
this
today
we're
more
or
less
just
adopting
the
dates.
A
Yes,
so,
as
we
know
like
a
bond,
sale
could
change,
or
something
like
that,
and
commissioner
beanie
correct
me
if
I'm
wrong,
but
I
believe
we
did
check,
for
example,
on
the
mprb
presentation,
and
so
we
already
know
doing
it
earlier.
Would
it
be
possible?
So
if
we
did
switch
it,
it
would
have
to
be
till
later,
but
that
as
far
as
those
considerations,
that's
what
I
know
now
all
right,
any
other
discussion
around
the
calendar.
C
A
There
a
second
right
we
have
a
proper
motion
before
us.
Is
there
any
discussion,
any
discussion
seeing
none
all
those
in
favor
say:
aye,
aye,
aye
aye,
those
opposed,
say,
nay,
the
eyes
have
it
and
the
calendar
is
adopted
with
that.
We
have
completed
all
business
to
come
before
us
and
we
stand
adjourned.
