this
is
an
update
on
the
north
side,
tornado
recovery
efforts
for
the
city
of
minneapolis
for
friday
june
10th,
I'm
gal
vang
today
is
the
last
day.
Crews
will
make
regular
rounds
in
northside
neighborhoods.
Looking
for
piles
of
large
tree
debris.
To
pick
up,
however,
folks
in
the
storm
damaged
neighborhoods
with
large
tree
debris,
stacked
on
boulevards
after
today
can
call
to
get
the
piles
removed
call
311
and
city
crews
will
come
out
and
pick
it
up
for
smaller
tree
debris.
You
can
use
the
regular
yard
waste
collection.

is
for
tree
limbs,
less
than
3
inches
in
diameter,
cut
in
sections
less
than
3
feet
in
length
and
bundled
in
lunches,
no
more
than
40
pounds
each
also.
The
city
is
working
with
neighborhood
groups
and
the
area
to
organize
clean
sweeps
as
part
of
the
tornado.
Recovery
plans
are
still
being
made
to
schedule.
These
neighborhood
clean
sweeps,
we've
all
seen
how
the
tornado
damaged
homes
and
trees
it
also
affected.
The
folks
who
lived
there
as
community
groups
on
the
north
side
continue
to
help
out.

also
need
to
address
the
psychological
needs
people
there
may
have.
So.
The
city
of
minneapolis
is
helping
organizations
improve
their
crisis
response
skills.
This
week
the
city
provided
psychological
first
aid
training
to
some
of
these
groups.
The
classes
covered
ways
to
recognize
and
respond
to
the
emotional
needs
of
adults
and
children.
