However,
it's
up
to
homeowners
to
remove
any
trees
that
fell
on
their
property
and
that
removal
can
be
costly
to
help
folks
who
have
difficulty
affording
tree
removal.
The
city
of
minneapolis
can
remove
the
tree
and
assess
the
cost
to
the
property
taxes
that
will
spread
the
cost
of
tree
removal
over
five
years.
A
If
you
have
a
tree
down
on
your
property
and
would
like
the
city
to
remove
it
and
assess
the
cost
call
3-1-1
for
information
for
people
who
handle
the
tree
removal
themselves,
the
city
can
pick
up
the
large
tree
debris
on
the
north
side.
Just
stack
the
large
tree
debris
in
the
boulevard
between
the
sidewalk
and
the
street
and
then
call
3-1-1
to
arrange
a
pickup
day.
