Description
June 4, 2011
A
Hello,
this
is
an
update
on
the
north
side,
tornado
recovery
efforts
for
the
city
of
Minneapolis
for
the
week
end
of
june.
Fourth,
I'm
Carrie
aspinwall
on
Saturday
about
2,000
volunteers,
helped
clean
up
the
neighborhoods
on
the
north
side,
hey
whatever.
Thank
you
guys
so
much
thanks
for
being
here.
You
guys.
We
really
appreciate
it
mayor,
RT,
Rybak
and
city
council
members
thank
the
volunteers
as
they
headed
out
to
help
clean
up
storm
damaged,
neighborhoods
teams
of
volunteers,
collected
tree
debris
and
moved
it
to
the
boulevards
for
pickup.
A
The
city
will
continue
to
collect
those
stacks
of
tree
debris
through
June.
Tenth
volunteers
also
collected
some
construction
debris,
but
if
it
wasn't
hauled
away
during
the
cleanup
day,
it's
now
up
to
property
owners
to
remove
from
now
through
June,
tenth
homeowners
in
the
tornado,
damaged
area
can
take
construction
and
demolition
debris
to
the
North
transfer
station.
That's
at
27
10,
Pacific
Street.
It
will
be
open
monday
through
friday,
from
11am
to
7pm.
Again,
the
north
side
transfer
station
will
only
be
open
through
June.
A
Tenth
homeowners
will
need
a
vulture
before
bringing
debris
to
the
north
transfer
station,
but
that's
easy
to
get
call
612,
6732,
917
or
311,
and
a
reminder.
Homeowners
can
use
a
city's,
regular
yard
waste
service
to
get
rid
of
branches
and
other
small
storm
debris.
Thanks
to
all
the
volunteers
will
help
clean
up
the
north
side.
There
are
still
ways
to
help
the
recovery.
You
can
make
a
donation
to
the
Minneapolis
foundations,
Northside
relief
funds
for
more
information
on
that
and
other
Northside
recovery
updates
go
to
the
city
of
Minneapolis
website.
