From YouTube: Oklahoma Arts Commission - February 20, 2023
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
B
B
B
We
now
have
Quorum
and
we
will
begin
the
regularly
scheduled
meeting
of
the
Oklahoma
City
Arts
commission
before
the
commission
votes
on
each
item.
I
will
ask
staff
to
provide
details
of
each
case.
I
will
ask
if
the
applicant
has
anything
to
add
and
I
will
ask
if
any
members
of
the
public
wish
to
speak.
If
you
wish
to
address
the
Arts
commission,
you
will
be
recognized.
B
Please
go
to
the
central
Podium
state,
your
name
and
address
for
the
record
and
begin
your
comments.
Please
limit
your
comments
to
no
more
than
three
minutes
and
before
we
move
on
to
the
next
item,
I
would
like
to
welcome
Salvador
antivirus
to
the
Horseshoe
and
he
comes
to
us
by
way
of
Oklahoma
contemporary.
B
So
our
next
item
on
the
agenda
is
acceptance
of
the
meeting
minutes
from
now
from
the
November
21st
regular
meeting.
I
hope
everyone
has
read
through
the
minutes
and
if
there
are
no
corrections,
I
will
entertain
a
motion
in
a
second
Commissioners.
Remember
if
you
were
not
present
for
the
meeting,
please
abstain
from
voting
and
looks
like
we've
got
a
motion
in
a
second.
D
B
E
As
a
former
former
chair,
Bailey
and
I
talked
just
before
the
meeting,
you
may
have
noticed
a
difference
in
procedure
over
the
last
several
weeks
that
things
that
used
to
be
on
the
consent.
Docket
we've
been
bringing
up
one
by
one.
So
in
this
first
item
the
mural
little
Heroes
is
an
example
of
that
this
is.
This
is
just
a
matter
of
just
a
protocol
for
the
commission
itself.
E
If
you
would
like
to
hear
about
every
single
item
in
detail,
we
can
do
that
if
you
would
like
for
a
number
of
things
to
go
on
the
consent
docket,
when
we
had
many
many
murals,
it
just
started,
making
more
sense
to
put
everything
on
the
consent,
Dock
and
let
you
read
it
ahead
of
time
since
we
don't
do
so
many
of
those
anymore.
If
you'd
like
to
hear
about
every
single
item,
we'll
do
that.
E
So
I
won't
take
a
poll
right
now,
but
before
the
next
meeting,
we'll
I'll
poll
you
and
decide
how
to
proceed
for
the
next
meeting
for
this
particular
meeting,
though
we'll
look
at
little
Heroes,
so
this
is
on
at
bar
k
a
new
development
in
The,
Boathouse
district
and
remember
that
last
month
you
also
looked
at
some
murals
that
were
at
bar
k.
E
So
this
is
the
human
dog
bar
pet
daycare
mix
out
mash
up
and,
and
people
are
seemingly
very,
very
excited
about
it,
and
these
are
this:
is
the
latest
mural
to
go
there?
This
is
at
901
Southeast
5th
Street.
It
is
in
Ward
7,
and
it
is
also
in
the
scenic
River
Design
District.
So
the
recommendation
here,
if
you
recommend
it
would
be
to
recommend
it
to
the
Civic.
E
B
E
F
E
F
B
E
Does
anybody
else
need
to
vote
by
voice.
B
A
B
B
E
So
we
had
the
selection
committee
meeting
for
the
actually
it
was.
We
tried
I
tried
something
that
we're
not
going
to
try
again,
which
was
to
combine
a
couple
different
projects
into
one
selection
committee.
Anyway,
it
was
turned
out
to
be
rather
fraught
every
step
along
the
way
so
far
from
saving
his
time
and
money.
It
had
exactly
the
opposite
effect
kind
of
like
Prime
gov
is
behaving
today.
E
Actually,
but
anyway,
the
selection
committee
was
very
happy
to
be
able
to
make
the
selection
for
the
Oklahoma
River
Greenway
Trail,
the
green
Oklahoma
River
Greenway
Trail
connects
the
Oklahoma
Trail
that
parallels
the
Oklahoma
River
and
ends
basically
at
The
Boathouse
District
to
the
Katy
Trail,
which
starts
at
Northeast
4th
Street
roughly
at
MLK,
and
the
greenway
Trail
indicates
that
the
natural
vegetation
is
supposed
to
be
left
as
much
as
possible
and
the
intent
is
eventually
for
it
to
be
a
very
a
very
Shady
Trail
Shady
from
trees
that
will
be
planted.
E
So
the
rather
amorphous
blob
that
you
see
on
this
map
is
the
approximate
location
for
the
piece
that
will
be
created
by
Don
narcomy,
the
piece
called
communion
and
the
so
the
trail
kind
of
winds,
Around,
The,
Boathouse
district
and
around
some
waterways
and
the
highway,
and
so
on,
Loops
up
to
the
north
along
the
along
Interstate,
35
and
40,
and
then
comes
back
down
to
close
to
the
river
and
then
shoots
over
along
the
river
past,
the
first
Americans
Museum
on
the
other
side
of
the
river.
E
So
this
location
went
out
actually
and
scouted
it
with
Dawn.
It's
really
a
pretty
location.
I
think
we
have
an.
You
can't
tell
it
quite
so
much
here,
but
you
can
see
the
large
trees
on
the
left
and
the
peace
communion.
This
is
one
of
three
pieces.
One
of
the
three
sculptures
that
will
be
part
of
the
sculptural
installation
will
go
on
this
in
this
area.
That
has
a
rise,
and
you
can
just
see
the
mound
of
the
first
Americans
Museum
Rising
kind
of
above
the
above
the
horizon
line
there.
E
So
it
kind
of
serves
in
some
sense
as
those
people
that
are
traveling
on
the
trail
going
from
west
to
east
it
kind
of
serves
as
a
gateway
to
the
view
of
the
first
Americans
museum
across
the
river.
Also
go
back
to
this
other
image.
E
I,
don't
know
the
we
don't
know
the
exact
location
yet,
but
approximately
where
you
see
the
large
area
of
bare
soil
immediately
to
the
east
of
north
and
east
of
first
Americans,
there's
going
to
be
a
pedestrian
walkway
across
the
river.
At
that
point,
so
you'll
be
able
to
connect
O'connor,
Resort
and
first
Americans
over
to
the
Oklahoma
River
Greenway
Trail
there'll,
be
art
associated
with
that
and
that
too
so
it'll
be
so.
This
milieu
that
is
being
created
here
will
have
multiple
points
of
interest
for
the
for
the
trail.
E
The
artist
is
here
today
and
can
answer
questions.
If
you
have
any
questions
for
him,
the
work
itself
consists
of
three
two
and
a
half
feet:
tall,
concrete
bases
and
be
decorative
concrete
and
then
with
nine
and
a
half
foot
tall,
Wood
Sculptures,
rising
out
of
those
bases
and
I
think
think.
The
plan
is
for
two
two
of
the
two
of
them
to
go
on
one
side
and
one
on
the
other.
Is
that
correct?
Okay
and
as
usual,
the
artist
has
submitted
a
Avera
waiver
already.
E
This
is
also
in
the
scenic
River
Design
District,
and
so
they
will
be
reviewing
it
also,
and
this
will
require
a
building
permit
from
development
services.
So
staff
recommends
that
it
be
approved
and
recommended
to
the
scenic
River
design,
commission
and
also
to
development
services,
for
a
building
permit
and
I'll
be
happy
to
answer
any
questions.
E
Okay,
I'll
take
a
stab
at
it
and
then,
if
Don
needs
to
correct
me,
we'll
ask
him
to
come
on
up.
So
this
will
be
constructed
of
of
wood.
That
already
has
stood
the
test
of
time.
It's
weathered
wood,
either
a
cedar
or
bodark
or
both,
and
each
of
them
or
either
of
them
will
have
lifetime
set,
are
in
it's
numbered
in
the
decades.
E
In
addition
to
that,
Don
am
I,
correct
and
saying
that
they
will
be
treated
also,
are
you
going
to
have
a
ceiling
on
them
also
to
add
to
the
lifespan,
and
they
can
be
in
typically
in
this
type
of
situation
and
well
in
every
case
actually
in
in
the
agreement?
There's
a
maintenance
plan
and
that
that
is
required
in
the
maintenance
plan
is
given
to
parks
and
Parks,
as
the
owner
of
the
trail
and
and
manager
of
the
trail
will
be
responsible
for
following
the
maintenance
procedures,
as
recommended
by
the
artist.
E
B
E
The
commercial
District
of
Uptown,
20,
23rd,
Street
or
Uptown
23
has
been
faced
with
some
challenges,
particularly
with
a
lot
of
graffiti
and
the
alleys
between
well
behind
the
buildings
that
face
23rd
Street
on
both
sides
of
the
street,
and
so
one
way
that
they
would
like
to
deal
with
these,
and,
of
course,
we've
seen
this
be
effective
in
other
situations,
is
to
add
murals
to
decrease
the
amount
of
graffiti.
That
is
back
there.
E
So
graffiti
abatement
is
expensive.
It
costs
a
lot
to
and
it's
bad
for
the
brick
to
have
to
remove
that
continually.
So
at
a
bare
minimum,
the
murals
would
act
as
a
deterrent
to
the
graffiti.
However,
obviously
they're
going
to
be
an
amenity
for
the
area
and
we've
seen
in
Plaza
District
how
the
murals
have
become
a
major
attraction,
along
with
everything
else
that
is
in
that
commercial
district
and
can
easily
anticipate
the
same
thing
happening
on
23rd
Street
So.
E
The
curatorial
plan
that
you're
that
was
given
to
you
in
your
in
your
package
today.
This
is
the
beginning
of
a
plan.
That's
going
to
be
modified,
so
this
is
going
to
grow
over
time.
What
was
brought
to
you
today
is
just
a
pre-approved
locations
by
the
23rd,
the
Uptown
23rd,
the
business
Improvement
District
more
locations
will
be
added
and
you
will
be
periodically
updated.
It's
quite
possible
that
you'll
have
monthly,
or
by
or
every
other
month
updates
for
a
while
as
properties
get
added.
E
So
the
details
of
the
curatorial
plan
or
in
your
packet,
and
you
can
read
them
there-
Stephen
Tyler,
is
is
here
today.
If
you
would
like
to
hear
more
directly
from
Stephen
he'd,
be
happy
to
tell
you
more
about
the
plan
and
what
he
envisions
for
it.
So.
G
My
name
is
Stephen
Tyler.
My
address
is
1408
Northwest,
20th,
Street,
Oklahoma
City,
how
what
questions
can
I
answer
or
what
can
just
tell
us
to
give
us
your
overview
sure
this
has
actually
been
an
idea.
That's
been
on
the
work
for
a
couple
of
years
now.
Obviously,
the
last
few
years
has
presented
some
challenges
to
businesses
in
The
District
in
general,
so
this
has
taken
a
little
bit
longer
to
bring
to
you
all
than
we
had
originally
anticipated,
but
all
things
in
time.
G
So
the
general
idea
is
just
to
create
a
unified
idea
of
increasing
the
public
art
and
the
beautification
of
the
Uptown
23rd
District.
This
has
been
kind
of
part
of
the
overall
strategy
that
the
district
Association
has
been
taking
over
the
last
few
years,
including
the
establishment
of
the
business
improvement
district,
which
created
a
source
of
consistent
funding,
a
section
of
which
is
earmarked
to
beautification.
So
this
has
kind
of
been
the
strategy
all
along
that.
G
We
would
put
these
elements
in
place
to
really
solidify
the
district,
to
have
a
voice
and
say
with
the
city
both
in
how
things
are
handled
with
streetscapes
all
the
way
into
public
art
like
this.
So
at
this
point,
we're
ready
to
sort
of
take
this
plan
to
The
Next
Step,
a
lot
of
the
property
owners.
Business
owners
are
100
on
board.
G
With
this
plan,
we're
still
working
through
the
details
of
getting
some
signatures
along
the
time,
as
Randy
has
said,
graffiti,
has
become
a
more
consistent
problem
and
we
know
that
you
can
mitigate
that
through
regular
maintenance
and
removal
of
graffiti,
but
at
the
same
time
as
much
of
a
nuisance
as
it
can
be
graffiti
is
also
tend
to
respect
other
people's
work,
and
we've
seen
that
in
other
areas
that,
as
soon
as
you
start
putting
art
in
places
graffiti
moves
on.
So
it
kind
of
all
works
together.
G
But
the
vision
here
is
to
sort
of
be
inspired
by
what
we've
seen
in
Plaza
walls
and
the
success
there.
But
to
take
that
a
step
further.
We
we
don't
necessarily
think
this
is
entirely
limited
to
murals.
There
may
be
some
3D
art
at
some
point.
There
may
be
some
different
mediums
of
art,
like
some
lighting
elements
or
other
things
that
we
wanted
to
use
to
enhance
not
just
the
attractiveness
of
the
area,
but
the
Safety
and
Security
of
the
area.
G
There's
a
ton
of
great
walkable
Alleyways
through
our
district
that
are
often
overlooked
by
people,
because
they
are
dark
and
they
are
ugly
and
they
are
scary.
So,
by
bringing
art
to
those
places
bringing
light
to
those
places,
we
can
bring
people
to
those
places
that
are
only
help
just
overall
enhance
the
district
and
really
continue
I
think
to
propel
Oklahoma
City
forward
as
a
destination
that
very
adamantly
loves
public
art.
G
B
G
B
B
E
Just
before
I
go
on
to
that
I
want
to
say
thank
you
Stephen
for
coming
today
and
also
a
preview
of
coming
attractions.
You'll
see
him
on
another
curatorial
plan,
soon,
probably
possibly
next
month
for
Rick
Towns
so
and
then.
In
regard
to
the
question
that
was
asked
about
the
robot,
that
is
they'll.
It's
a
manufactured
item:
it's
not
an
art
item
they'll
make
as
many
of
those
as
you
want,
and
it
was
I.
Don't
I
can't
remember
the
exact
Genesis,
but
it
was.
E
The
going
further
west
on
23rd
Street,
just
west
of
Pennsylvania
they're
murals,
there's
existing
murals,
a
dispensary
there
that
are
in
a
Design
District.
They
were
established
illegally
Michael
Philbrook
in
and
my
colleague
in
planning
has
worked
with
the
owner
done
a
good
job
following
up
to
make
sure
that.
H
E
H
E
Vast
majority
of
work
that
is
on
the
building
will
be
murals
again
pre-existing
and
so
they've
complied
with
our
requests
to
provide
all
the
information
about
the
work,
and
that
is
the
that
is
what
we
see
in
front
of
us
today.
So
this
is
a
Rec,
basically
a
recommendation
for
the
work
to
go
to
the
Urban
Design
Review
Committee,
and
they
will
issue
a
certificate
of
appropriateness
or
not
as
they
deem
appropriate.
This.
E
Yeah,
so
the
23rd
and
Pian
is
the
area
of
highest
concentration
or
it's.
The
epicenter
of
highest
concentration
of
population
in
Oklahoma,
City
on
the
south
west
corner
of
23rd
and
Penn
is
the
711,
and
this
is
about
two
doors
to
the
West
more
or
less
across
from
the
west
lake.
That
is
also
at
that
that
commercial
area,
23rd
and
Penn.
E
Is
that
so
Salvador
I'd
like
to
say
it
isn't
always
this
way
but
oftentimes
it
is
there's
there's
glitches,
there's
new
glitches
in
primegov
that
are
getting
worked.
E
So
it
seems
like
every
time
our
mayor
leaves
Oklahoma
City.
He
comes
back
with
another
reward
in
hand.
January
was
absolutely
no
exception
when
he
went
to
the
National
mayor's
conference
and
he
came
back
with
local
leadership
in
the
ward,
which
is
a
joint
award
since
1997
between
Americans
for
the
Arts
and
the
U.S
Conference
of
Mayors
do
I
have
that
right.
So,
commissioner,
Hill
was
there
with
him
and
I.
E
So
we
would
like
for
somebody
to
read
the
resolution.
Would
one
of
the
Commissioners
like
to
like
to
volunteer
for
that
or
or
Robin
can
read
it,
but
if.
B
F
To
ensure
that
their
story
is
fully
told
at
the
monument
working
with
Wayne
Coyne
to
display
his
collaborative
painting
with
Damien
Hurst.
At
the
Oklahoma
City,
Convention
Center
and
provided
support
for
the
completion
of
the
first
Americans
Museum
and
whereas
Americans
for
the
art
in
partnership
with
the
United
States
Conference
of
mayors,
has
presented
the
local
Arts
leadership
award
to
the
mayor.
Since
1997.
F
F
Now,
therefore,
be
it
resolved
that
the
Oklahoma
City
Arts
commission
hereby
congratulates
mayor,
David
Holt
on
receiving
the
local
Arts
leadership
award
and
thanks
him
for
his
outstanding
years
of
service
to
the
Arts
and
to
the
City
of
Oklahoma
City,
adopted
by
the
Oklahoma
City
Arts
commission.
This
20th
day
of
February
2023.
B
E
And
while
we're
waiting
for
primecav
to
do
his
thing,
I'll
just
add
that
we're
extremely
lucky
to
have
the
kind
of
leadership
that
we
have
from
Mr
Holt.
That
is
genuine
genuine
interest
in
the
Arts.
This
isn't
lip
service.
This
is
something
that
he
lives
currently
and
has
lived
his
entire
life
and
we
feel
his
support
in
the
Arts
and
Cultural
Affairs
office.
All
the.
D
E
So
this
particular
project
has
kind
of
been
on
a
fast
track,
because
the
the
zoo
personnel
and
the
design
team
at
the
zoo
and
us
all
wanted
the
artist
to
be
on
board
as
quickly
as
possible
in
the
design
process,
so
that
the
art
that
was
chosen
could
be
more
fully
integrated
into
the
design
of
the
site.
E
And
then
the
new
Shore
to
see
exhibit
is
going
to
be
built
in
that
area
on
that
footprint
and
then
some
surrounding
areas,
it's
a
really
beautiful
spot
that
has
a
fairly
dramatic
30-foot
drop
from
the
upper
level
down
to
the
lake.
So
there's
a
lot
of
topography
that
the
Landscape,
Architects
and
designers
could
work
with
there
to
make
this
a
really
beautiful
site.
E
So
the
selection
Committee
just
met
last
Wednesday
and
selected
local
artist.
Team
of
Matt
gold,
Matt
gold
and
Stan
Carroll
for
this
particular
project
and
oh
I'll,
just
say
that
their
project
addresses
the
two
entrances
to
the
exhibit,
which
you
see
in
the
circles,
and
then
the
different
points
inside
are
touch
points
where
the
message
about
the
main
parts
of
the
exhibit
are
carried
through.
E
So
one
of
the
major
components
is
the
water
is
life
machine
which
they
proposed
for
the
upper
upper
level
and
see
if
I
have
we'll
go
back
to
this
a
little
bit.
So
you
can
see
in
the
low
in
the
lower
left
hand
side,
you
can
see
kind
of
an
auger
with
balls
going
up,
so
this
was
inspired
by
pinball
or
pachinko
machines.
So
actually
this
will.
E
The
mechanical
device
will
will
take
these
blue,
hard
plastic
balls
up
and
then
they'll
drop
down
inside
this
machine,
then
falling
behind
the
cutout
glyphs
that
you
see
that's
stainless
steel
construction,
you'll
see
through
and
you'll
see
the
the
balls
falling
behind
it
now.
What
is
it
about
water
that
is
so
that
they
deem
to
be
so
important?
E
The
Zeus
staff
has
worked
with
the
design
designers
to
get
across
that
this
is
more
than
just
about
cute,
penguins
and
sea
lions.
This
is
about
the
way
that
water
connects
us
all
in
very
surprising
ways,
and
they
wanted
that
message
to
get
across.
So
it's
the
importance
of
water,
the
importance
of
Converse
conservation.
E
They
want
people
that
visit
this
site,
not
just
to
have
the
interaction
with
the
animals,
but
then
to
think
about
the
way
that
these
particular
cute
little
animals
are
served
by
water
and
how
their
lives
are
connected
to
us
through
water.
So
it
was
noted
at
different
points
that
water
that
falls
in
this
area
goes
into
the
deep
Fork
River
out
to
Lake
Eufaula,
eventually
to
the
Mississippi
to
the
Gulf
of
Mexico,
and
then
any
water
molecule
that
happens
to
go.
There
eventually
gets
circulated
all
over
the
world.
E
Unfortunately,
the
same
is
true
about
plastic
bags
that
fall
into
the
deep
fork
and,
if
you've
been
by
the
Deep
Fork
anytime
recently
and
looked
down
into
the
into
the
stream,
you
can
see
the
detritus
of
of
our
civil
civilization
flowing
down
the
Deep
fork
and
onto
the
Eufaula.
So
it's
that
plastic
that
eventually
makes
its
way
down
the
stream.
E
That
also
is
the
message
about
this
that
it
is
way
past
time
that
we
start
thinking
about
about
what
effect
we're
having
on
water
in
the
planet
generally,
and
so
that,
so
that
steps
can
be
taken
to
preserve
Life,
as
we
know
it
on
Earth.
This
is
the
artist's
interpretation
about
how
to
communicate
that
message.
Starting
with
the
water
is
life
machine,
and
then
we
also
see
this
graphic
representation
of
our
Liquid
Planet.
E
What
you're,
seeing
in
the
lower
left
in
the
lower
right
hand,
corner
of
that
image
is
a
a
bench,
so
you
people
will
be
able
to
come
in
and
sit
on
that
bench.
That
also
has
the
glyphs
on
it
and
then
the
back
shows
that
the
planet,
the
theme
throughout
is
uses
blue
circles
or
balls
to
to
illustrate
water,
and
those
you'll
see
these
kinds
of
touch
points
going
through
the
exhibit.
E
A
Have
a
quick
question:
it
sounds
like
that.
There
was
a
very
good
collaboration
between
the
artist
and
the
zoo
and
was
there
an
ongoing
conversation
about
maintenance
on
it
with
the
zoo
staff,
because
it
I
mean
what
makes
it
cool
will
also
be
something
that
has
to
be
maintained
and
want
to
make
sure
that
the
zoo
is
prepared
to
embrace
that
it's.
E
A
very
good
question-
and
this
came
up
in
this
election
process
and
and
it
was
Zoo
staff
members
on
the
selection
committee,
particularly
the
person
who's
going
to
be
in
charge
of
that
he
brought
it
up
and
he
brought
up
some
very
good
points.
So
this-
and
the
answer
to
this
illustrates
more
about
the
entire
project
is.
E
This
is
basically
in
some
sense
every
every
project
that
comes
to
you
is
somewhat
conceptual,
because
we
know
that
there
are
times
when
things
will
change
from
the
time
that,
to
some
extent,
from
the
time
that
you
vote
on
it
to
the
time
that
city
council
votes
on
it
till
the
time
that
it
is
actually
done
here.
That
is
even
more
to
the
case.
This
is
more
of
a
conceptual
design
than
most
of
our
conceptual
designs
in
the
past.
E
We
don't
expect
it
to
change
radically,
but
we
expect
it
to
change,
and
the
point
is
that
they're
going
to
be
working
with
the
design
staff
and
with
and
with
Zoo
staff,
both
in
the
development
of
this
project,
to
address
those
concerns.
So
that's
a
major
part
of
what
they
will
be
working
on
over
the
next
several
weeks.
Okay,.
E
E
D
E
E
Trust
our
city
of
Oklahoma
City
entities,
and
yet
they
have
the
some
trust
and
certain
other
entities
have
some
flexibility
that
the
city
itself
doesn't
have.
For
example,
a
trust
exists
and
they
can
they
can
borrow
money.
The
city
cannot
borrow
money,
so
it
gives
it
gives
certain
areas
that
the
city
has
great
interest
in
more
flexibility,
so
the
trust
will
will
technically
own
it,
but
remember
that
the
trust
belongs
ultimately
to
the
City
of
Oklahoma
City.
B
E
That's
just
a
that's
just
a
Convention
of
speech,
it's
owned
by
the
city,
but
but
this
is
this
is
what
the
way
the
Robbie
taught
me
to
think
about.
It
is
that
every
Department
owns
that
piece.
The
police
department
owns
the
Gordon
huether
piece,
that's
in
front
of
a
police
department,
for
example.
Yes,
they
are
all
owned
by
the
city,
but
that
is
the
responsibility
of
that
particular
Department.
Thank
you
so,
and
the
zoo
will
be
totally
responsible
for
the
for
the
upkeep
and
maintenance
of
the
work.
That's.
B
F
B
E
So
big
event,
the
last
week
was
the
selection
of
fluid
dynamics
for
the
zoo-
and
this
is
this-
is
a
good
step
for
Oklahoma
City.
It's
a
good
step
for
the
artist
involved.
This
is
an
exquisite
concept,
conceptual
design
and
these
are
the
right
guys
to
do
it.
So
the
the
selection
committee
was
a
very
wholeheartedly
in
favor
of
this
work
and
it
wasn't
because
the
other
works
weren't
worthy.
They
definitely
were
they're
beautifully
conceived,
and
this
one
just
was
astounding,
so
even
more
so
in
the
presentation
than
what
you've
seen.
E
E
We
have
to
have
a
Level
Playing
Field
that
is
open
to
everybody,
and
this
question
comes
up
again
and
again
and
again
it
came
up
when
light
as
a
feather
was
dedicated,
and
so
people
once
again
got
on
Instagram
or
whatever
and
said.
Why
is
why
are
we
having
this?
Why
are
we
having
these
people
from
Brooklyn
make
art
for
us?
Well,
it's
the
way
that
it's
set
up.
We
want
a
Level,
Playing
Field
and
we
can't
just
say
only
Oklahoma
artists.
E
Besides
looking
ahead,
we
want
Matt
and
Stan
to
go
and
get
multi-million
dollar
projects
from
other
cities
too.
That
haven't
put
up
the
barriers
to
keep
out
are
astounding
artist
and,
while
I'm
talking
about
it
about
this
too
the
same
thing.
The
same
thing
can
be
said
for
Don
Don
has
been
doing
outstanding
work
for
for
decades
in
Oklahoma,
City
and
so
glad
that
he
has
the
public
forum
to
put
that
out
where
more
and
more
people
can
see
his
work.
We
want
him
to
pull
down
million
dollar
projects
from
other
cities
too.
H
E
It
is
in
the
best
interest
of
the
city
if
we
see
our
own
artist
increase
their
capacity
so
so
that
they
can
do
better
on
a
national
stage,
it's
good
for
them,
it's
good
for
our
local
economy
and
we're
happy
to
see
it
taking
place.
We
want
other
people
to
know
what
great
artist
and
art
is
being
generated
out
of
Oklahoma
City,
so
there's
a
whole
lot
of
things
going
on
as
usual.
I
just
wanted
to
pass
that
on
to
you.
E
G
E
We
one
thing
that
took
up
a
lot
of
bandwidth
from
our
office
and
from
chair
kova.
She
really
who
stepped
in
and
did
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
writing
and
then
also
members
of
the
entire
committee,
including
commissioner
Chambers
and
members
of
the
spirit
group.
We
did
get
an
application
to
the
Bloomberg
public
art
challenge
Grant,
so
it
was
timely,
sent
off.
We
even
beat
the
deadline
for
it
by
at
least
two
hours
and
thank
you
again
mayor
Holt
for
submitting
that
letter.
E
Technically
the
way
the
Bloomberg
is
set
up,
it's
actually
the
mayor
who
makes
the
application.
So
thank
you
again,
mayor
Holt.
Do.
E
We
don't
the
question
was:
when
will
this
election
be
made?
We
don't
know
exactly
all
the
the
exact
date.
What
we're
told
is
spring
of
2023
is
when
the
finalists
will
be
announced
and
then
there's
a
period
of
time,
and
we
hope
that
we're
in
that
group
in
which
the
proposal
can
be
refined
and
then
the
final
winning
proposals
will
be
announced
in
the
fall
of
2023
I.
Think
sometime
in
October
is
what's
anticipated
and
Bloomberg
said
this
year
up
up
to
10
1
million
dollar
grants
will
be
granted
this
year.
E
If
we
make
it
past
the
first
round.
I
think
that
we
have
a
reasonable
chance.
We
have
a
compelling
story.
This
is
basically
the
continuation
of
the
re
of
of
what
was
brought
to
you
in
December
of
2022
about
the
indigenous
response
to
the
land
run
Monument.
So
it's
the
fleshing
out
of
that
story
into
three-dimensional
artwork.
B
Anymore,
thank
you,
Randy.
Any
more
questions
for
Randy.
Anybody
from
the
public
want
to
question.
Randy.
Okay,
I
inadvertently
skipped
over
our
most
important
item,
discussion
and
action
on
reports
from
committees,
Teresa.
C
I'm,
a
little
old-fashioned
I
do
things
with
handouts
and
what
have
you
the
big
thing
on
the
upcoming
agenda?
That
I
think
we
all
need
to
make
note
of
is
the
day
out
at
the
state
capitol
for
the
arts
and
culture
day.
It's
on
April
18th,
so
I
put
in
a
nice
pink
sheet,
so
you
can
get
there
and
get
it
in
your
in
your
calendars
and
what
have
you?
C
But
it
would
be
a
wonderful
thing,
as
many
of
us
as
possible
could
be
there
to
represent
the
Oklahoma
City
Arts
there,
and
it's
just
that
interacting
with
legislators.
We
can
learn
a
lot
while
we're
out
there
we're
going
to
be
meeting
some
very
interesting
people,
so
I'll
take
the
motherly
routine
and
remind
you
quite
frequently
between
now
and
April
18th,
on
that,
the
other
thing
that
we
I
have
attached.
C
There
is
all
the
websites
for
the
I
recently
reached
out
or
are
still
in
the
process,
to
a
few
reached
out
to
these
different
organizations
saying
that
we
have
an
interest
in
what
they're
doing,
and
we
would
like
to
be
aware
of
what's
happening.
What's
on
their
event,
schedule
Meg!
C
You
were
always
good
at
just
knowing
what
those
things
were
and
I'm,
not
as
Arts
oriented
as
you
are
so
I'm
going
to
have
to
rely
on
those
people
and
I
put
the
the
contacts
here,
because
if
you
have
a
special
interest
of
one
of
those,
you
know
how
to
reach
them
or
you
could
just
Google
it
and
say:
hey
find
it
there,
but
I
think
we
need
to
reach
out
and
just
show
our
interest
in
their
activities
and
I
know
they
will
all
reciprocate
accordingly.
C
E
I
I
didn't
get
the
gist
of
that.
Would
you
state
that
again.
E
So,
specifically,
it's
something
like
that
at
the
Capitol.
Yes,
we
will
provide
name
badges
for
anybody
that
is
there
and
typically,
what
happens
is
that
you
go
and
meet
with
your
whoever
your
legislator
is
so
and
and
the
objective
with
that
is
to
support
Arts
generally,
but
also
the
work
of
the
Oklahoma
Arts
Council
and
the
work
that
they
do.
Yes,
if
we
know
that
if
we
know
that
you're
you're
going
then
we'll
provide
you
with
badge.
E
They're
they're
I'm
glad
you
brought
this
up
because
on
March
23rd
is
commissioner
training.
This
is
especially
important
for
new
commissioners,
so
those
of
you
that
have
been
on
the
commission
for
less
than
a
year.
This
is
something
that
is
done
every
year
and
it's
a
good
reminder
of
about
what
you
can
and
and
or
what
you
can
and
what
you
shouldn't
do
as
a
commissioner.
E
So,
in
a
meeting
like
that,
we
know
that
there
are
going
to
be
technically
a
quorum
of
Commissioners
at
various
events,
because
you
know
each
other
you'll
be
at
the
same
opening
or
whatever.
If
there's
not,
if
there's
not
a
discussion
about
any
items
that
are
going
to
become
in
front
of
the
commission,
then
there's
not
a
quorum
issue,
so
there's
no
problem
with
that.
But
these
are
the
kinds
of
questions
that
will
be
directly
addressed
at
the
commission
of
training
and
have
we
seen
anything
out
about
that?
Yet?
E
Okay,
so
you'll
be
you'll,
actually
be
getting
something
from
my
call,
my
colleague
Katie
Friddle,
who
is
organizing
this,
and
this
isn't
just
Arts
commission.
This
is
all
the
commissions
and
committees
that
the
city
has
has
many
of
them
and
we'll
meet
over
at
the
convention
center
and
have
this
training
last
year
it
was.
It
was
I
thought
one
of
the
best
that
we'd
had
in
in
multiple
years.
So
it's
it's
actually
very
beneficial.
E
B
H
I
was
just
guess:
I
was
going
to
be
a
cheerleader
along
with
Teresa
and
if
anybody
thinks
there
isn't
enough
to
do
in
Oklahoma,
City
I
just
want
to
talk
about
last
Thursday
night.
There
were
at
least
three
major
art
openings
happening.
Oklahoma
contemporary,
had
a
fantastic
exhibit
called
The
Art
of
food
Jordan
snitzer
collection,
It's,
a
Wonderful
opportunity
to
see
some
great
works
on
paper.
The
Oklahoma
City
Museum
of
Art
had
a
fashion
show
of
Nicole
moan's,
amazing,
corsets,
ceramic
corsets,
to
music
and
Fanfare.
H
There
were
so
many
people
there
we
had
to
station
people
outside
because
nobody
else
could
come
in.
There
were
600
people,
I
think
at
Oklahoma,
contemporaries
opening
and
the
national
cowboy
and
Western
Heritage
Museum
had
an
opening
of
their
toy
exhibit,
which
are
a
wonderful
collection
of
toys
and
costumes
and
things
about
the
west.
From
our
past
three
things,
I
bet
there
were
2
000
people
at
all
those
things
and
hardly
a
person
that
I
knew,
which
is
so
exciting
to
see
the
energy,
the
excitement
and
that's
happening
all
the
time.
H
New
opening
at
the
Oklahoma
City
Museum
of
Art
William,
H
Johnson
Fighters.
For
Freedom,
that
is
just
a
beautiful
piece:
I
just
read
a
post
on
Facebook.
That
said,
they
think
it's
the
best
exhibit
that
the
museum
has
ever
done.
We
partnered
with
the
museum
partnered
with
New
View
and
has
a
tactile
component
of
it.
All
of
the
markers
can
be
read
and
they're
also
actually
some
pieces
of
art
that
can
be
seen
by
touch
it's
really
a
great
collaboration
and
Brian.
What's
the
second,
the
test.
D
The
collection
at
tugaloo
in
is
the
first
modern
art
collection
in
the
state
of
Mississippi,
and
it
has
this
incredibly
varied
history,
where
a
group,
a
committee
in
New
York,
helped
form
that
collection
help
form
a
collection
of
Modern
Art.
That
was
happening
in
the
New
York
area
and
also
in
Europe,
and
it
really
focused
on
full
integration
in
a
place
that
was
at
the
time
known
for
the
Jim
Crow
South.
It's
a
spectacular
exhibition,
each
in
their
own
rights.
H
And
as
pairs,
it's
really
a
tremendous
exhibit.
So
there
just
is
so
much
happening
on
the
art
scene
in
Oklahoma,
City
and
I
want
to
encourage
everybody
to
use
Teresa's
list
or
explore
around
and
find
what
you're
interested
in
and
go
support
them,
because
every
institution
needs
our
help.
F
Also
also
in
the
line
of
being
a
cheerleader,
the
Oklahoma
City
city,
Philharmonic
Pops
concert
is
this
coming
weekend,
so
there's
time
to
purchase
a
ticket,
it
will
be
featuring
Oklahoma's
Own,
Broadway,
star
Kelly
O'hara,
who
will
performance
on
Friday
and
on
Saturday
night.
So
it
should
be
a
an
outstanding
outstanding
programs.
So
if
you
don't
have
tickets
go
get
one.
B
B
Okay,
seeing
nothing
I
guess
it's
time
to
adjourn
all
in
favor,
don't
forget
to
log
out.
