From YouTube: Oklahoma City Board of Adjustment - July 2, 2020
Description
The regular meeting of the Oklahoma City Board of Adjustment, via video conference
for July 2, 2020.
A
B
A
Okay,
welcome
everyone
to
the
city
of
Oklahoma
City
Board
of
Adjustment
meeting
for
July,
2nd
2020.
If
this
meeting
is
disconnected
at
any
time,
the
meeting
will
be
stopped
and
reconvene
once
the
connection
is
restored.
The
connections
unable
to
be
restored
within
30
minutes
items
remaining
on
the
docket
will
be
continued
to
the
next
regularly
scheduled
meeting
of
the
Board
of
Adjustment.
The
agenda
and
documents
are
located
on
OKC
gov.
A
The
casing
that
I'll
recognize
the
applicant
to
speak
then
I'll
recognize
any
protesters
that
find
up
and
we'll
close
with
the
applicant
speaking.
The
board
will
deliberate
ask
any
questions
and
then
the
board
will
vote
if
you
call
in
after
your
item
has
been
heard
and
you
weren't
hurt
on
a
matter.
You'll
be
allowed
to
speak
on
their
citizens
to
be
heard
speakers
we
ask
that
you
limit
your
comments
to
three
minutes.
A
When
you
call
in
the
staff
will
mute
your
mode
I.
Ask
that
all
participants
other
than
board
members
keep
their
sound
on
mute
until
you
are
recognized
to
speak
to
unmute
your
device
simply
hit
the
microphone
on
the
meeting
to
unmute
your
phone
press,
star,
six
or
members
will
be
allowed
to
ask
questions
and
make
any
comments
they
want
during
the
meeting.
A
Please
remember
that
only
one
person
can
be
heard
at
a
time
if
more
than
one
person
speaks,
the
system
will
mute
one
mic
automatically
and
we
won't
be
here
both
speakers
so
to
have
a
clear
record.
Please
have
one
person
speak
for
anyone
speaking
today,
including
board
members
that
are
here
on
the
phone.
Please
identify
yourself
for
the
purposes
of
the
record
before
you
start
speaking,
and
now
we're
ready
to
call
the
meeting
to
order.
Can
we
take
a
voice
call
of
the
board
members
on
the
on
the
line?
Please.
C
A
E
C
E
E
E
A
And
I
don't
think
we
need
any
board
action
on
withdrawals.
So
we'll
move
on
to
the
next
item,
which
are
requests
from
the
public
and
seeing
none
we'll
move
to
public
hearings.
I
see
nothing
on
the
consent,
docket,
so
we'll
move
to
items
requiring
separate
vote
and
we
can
go
ahead
and
call
the
first
case.
F
Okay,
Oh,
what
we're
asking
is
my
husband
and
I
are
both
becoming
disabled,
to
take
care
of
the
property,
and
my
husband
really
needs
someone
close
by
because
he's
fallen,
and
so
I
want
to
move
our
youngest
daughter
to
the
mobile
home
there,
and
that
site
will
probably
want
to
use
site
number
two,
because
and
yeah
and
I
know
you
asked
for
them
to
be
moved
behind
the
front
of
the
property.
F
But
we
have
high
lines
and
different
sorts
of
things
to
go
so,
but
my
husband
really
needs
someone
close
by
in
case
he
falls
and
he
can
get
help
and
hit
we're
learning.
That
he's
got
some
spine
problems
because
it
broke
his
neck
several
years
ago
and
then
the
bones
are
on
his
spine
and
that's
his
case
of
fallen
and
I've
had
surgeries
in
my
hand,
my
right
hand
so
I'm
getting
to
where
I
can't
live
things
as
well
as
I
used
to.
So
we
really
could
use
some
help.
A
A
F
A
Yeah
I
will
just
say
it's
that
it's
intended
to
be
a
pretty
short
term
special
exception.
So
you
might
keep
that
in
mind
if
you
come.
If
you
come
back
in
three
years,
trying
to
get
another
special
exception,
I
think
you
might
get
some
scrutiny
from
the
board
just
because
it's
supposed
to
be
a
pretty
short
term
relief
and
if
it's
a
longer
term
relief.
We
need
to
start
talking
about
other
solutions
but
I'm,
okay,
with
this
one
for
a
period
three
years
with
that
in
mind,.
B
F
It
makes
it
hard
for
us
to
get
another
one
in
three
years.
That
might
be
a
problem
because
I
mean
I
have
rheumatoid
arthritis.
So
does
he
as
well
plus
he's
getting
to
where
I
can't
walk
has
been
so
I?
Don't
see
us
getting
any
better?
You
know
so.
I
know
that
three
years
might
not
be
long
enough.
I
mean.
C
Well,
ma'am
I
just
say
just
take
it
as
it
comes
in
three
years
from
now,
I
mean
we'll
make
that
case
on
merit.
Just
like
this
one
as
well.
Okay,.
F
A
Sure
so,
with
that
in
mind,
I
think
you
know
I
can
support.
It
sounds
like
you've
got
some
support
to
prove
this
for
three
years
now,
but
if
you'd
like
to
maybe
take
some
time
and
see
if
a
more
permanent
solution
is
viable,
you
can
do
that
or
if
you
want
us
to
go
ahead
and
take
a
vote
today,
it's
up
to
you
well.
F
C
F
A
E
F
G
We
purchased
this
a
while
back
and
with
the
intention
of
building
our
forever
home
on
it.
Life
happened
and
we
now
live
in
and
then
so
we
put
this
parcel
up
for
sale.
It
actually
had
someone
interested
in
buying
it,
but
then
I
guess
do
their
due
diligence.
They
said
that
they
were
not
allowed
to
build
anything
on
this
property.
G
With
a
drive
to
it's
only
50
feet.
It
doesn't
meet
the
150
foot
requirement,
so
we
were
just
seeking
a
variance
to
be
able
to
put
it
Welling
on
this
property.
I
mean
we're
not
me
or
personally
I'm.
Gonna
put
it
well
in
there,
but
we
want
that
way.
With
someone
purchased
this
property
that
at
least
has
been
that
part
has
been
met.
A
G
A
H
H
Do
with
it,
because
we're
currently
in
a
legal
dispute
with
a
development
in
the
same
area
due
to
evasive,
surface
water,
causing
damage
to
my
property
and
land,
and
so
we
we
just
want
to
make
sure
that
whoever
does
come
into
possession
of
the
land
in
the
long
run
that
the
surface
water
doesn't
cause
any
further
issues
that
drainage
is
properly
done,
and
maybe
retention
ponds
or
something
like
that
just
so.
We
don't
have
further
issues.
G
A
Yeah,
that's
kind
of
what
I
had
in
mind
is
maybe
keeping
an
eye
on
this
on
this
property
for
future
requests
and
maybe
be
prepared
to
have
some
more
scrutiny.
But
given
this
narrow
request,
I
think
we
could,
you
know
I,
think
I
can
support
it
currently
kind
of
raising
an
eyebrow
toward
the
future,
depending
on
the
future
use
or
members.
Any
further
questions
or
comments.
C
G
A
I
I
My
name
is
Lanie
Pierce
and
I'm,
seeking
a
medical,
a
special
exception,
because
my
sister
has
COPD
and
macular
degeneration
and
she
lived
in
a
home
now
with
her
daughter
who
is
a
young
family
with
young
kids.
They
have
a
lot
of
visitors
to
the
home,
and
so
it
during
this
pandemic.
That's
a
problem
with
her
condition
and
going
up
and
down
the
stairs
is
making
her
COPD
worse.
I
So
we
would
like
to
get
her
out
here
so
that
we
can
take
care
of
her
and
make
sure
that
you
know
she
has
the
isolation
but
the
home
of
her
own,
so
that
she
can.
She
can
deal
with
things
on
her
own
instead
of
relying
on
a
busy
young
family.
My
husband
and
I
are
both
retired
and
we
live
on
a
little
over
six
acres
and
we
would
like
to
put
a
new
men
manufactures
mobile
home
on
the
property
close
to
us,
so
that
we
can
help
her
in
any
way
and
she's
unable
to.
A
B
I
Asking
for
three
years
that
will
give
us
time
to
deal
with
the
Planning
Commission,
because
the
property
there's
some
property
across
the
street,
that
my
husband's
family
used
to
own
before
my
mother-in-law's
death,
and
there
is
two
homes
that
are
on
less
than
a
acre
of
land
in
the
AAA
area
across
the
road
from
us.
So
I
am
hoping
that
we
can
get
with
the
Planning
Commission,
maybe
be
able
to
split
it
so
better,
so
that
we
can
have
her
mobile
home
out
here
indefinitely.
I
C
I
Yeah
they're
they're
small,
like
I,
said
his
family
used
to
own
that
property
over
there.
So
there's
no
way
there
were
I
believe
there
was
ten
acres
over
there
and
there's
I
see
where
they
slit
some
of
the
land,
but
not
those
last
two
hat
homes
they
were
not.
It
could
be
that
they
asked
for
a
variance,
and
was
that
I
don't
recall
one
being
being
authorized
or
getting
some
information
on
it.
For
me
to
approve
I
mean
for
us
to
disprove
whatever,
but.
A
C
A
A
That
is
helpful
for
us
I
mean
it's
certainly
helpful
for
me
to
know
that
this
is
your
intent
here
is
temporary
and
your
intent
is
to
try
to
find
a
more
permanent
solution
with
the
time
that
is
allowed
if
your
applications
approved,
so
that
helps
me
I'm
glad
you
raised
that
point.
Okay
was
there
anyone
else
on
the
line
that
wanted
to
speak
on
this
matter.
F
A
E
A
A
I
I
I
D
Okay
item
4
is
case:
14
755.
It's
a
request
of
Amarok
LLC
for
a
variance
to
the
fence
regulations
in
the
scenic
river
design
district
at
316,
South,
Blackwelder
Avenue
and
the
the
riverfront
design
committee
considered
this
applique
this
morning
and
recommended
approval
and
recommended
approval
of
The
Associated
variance.
J
Name
is
Michael
pate
I'm
with
Amarok
I
live
in
Columbia,
South
Carolina,
so
we're
a
little
ways
away
from
you
guys.
This
is
basically
an
application
for
an
electric
security
fence,
battery-powered
and
alarmed
we're.
Basically,
here
at
Goodwill
Industries,
you
can
see
the
little
red
line
on
the
right-hand
side.
That's
the
only
area
we're
really
protecting
here.
This
is
where
the
trucks
are
stored.
We've
had
a
few
break-ins
over
there.
People
have
vandalized
a
couple
of
the
pieces
of
equipment
over
there.
It's
really
situated
off
the
road
along
a
long
way.
J
I
mean
you
can
barely
see
the
building
from
the
road.
So
we've
done
these
quite
a
few
times
we'll
forward
here,
I'll
give
you
a
quick
primer
on
what
we
have.
Basically,
we
have
12
volt
battery.
We
take
that
12
volts
and
we
amplify
it
to
seven
to
nine
thousand
volts
over
1.3
seconds,
so
it
takes
1.3
seconds
to
get
the
voltage
up
once
the
Energizer
is
loaded,
it
can
no
longer
hold
any
more
energy.
J
It
must
release
that
energy
mechanically
Lise's
it
down
the
interior
fence
line
the
second
fence
line,
which
is
the
Amarok
electric,
our
dog
device,
and
it
goes
on
that
little
quick
perimeter
check
in
3
10
thousandths
of
a
second
coming
back
to
an
alarm
panel,
the
alarm
panels.
Looking
for
a
nice
clean
return,
nice
clean
return
for
the
alarm
panel
is
2,000
volts
or
more.
If
we
get
less
than
2000
volts.
The
alarm
panel
starts
a
countdown.
J
If
we
get
five
consecutive
negative
returns,
we
set
the
alarm
off
audibly
on
the
site,
sigh
back
to
our
call
center
and
we
start
going
through
a
call
list.
So
let's
say
mr.
merchant
is
number
one
on
my
call
list
at
2:30
in
the
morning
I'm
going
to
call
mr.
merchant
and
say
mr.
merchant
we've
got
a
break
on
the
northeast
corner
about
20
feet
from
the
coat
from
the
corner
post.
What
would
you
like
to
do?
We
also
have
cameras
associated
with
these
devices,
so
mr.
J
merchant
could
bring
up
that
particular
fence
line
on
a
camera
via
Wi-Fi
in
his
home.
Give
it
a
quick
look
say:
hey
guys,
look,
there's
a
big
oak
tree
fell
over
the
corner.
We've
had
that
thunderstorm
knocked
it
down.
Let's
button
it
up
and
go
back
to
bed
or
I've
got
a
bunch
of
guys
out
there
with
a
flatbed
truck,
got
a
hold
of
my
fence,
a
robbing
us
blind.
J
Please
call
the
local
police
department,
it's
called
a
verified
alarm,
the
police
love
verified
alarms,
they
know
where
to
go
and
what
to
expect
so
a
lot
of
the
uncertainty
of
making.
That
call
is
out
of
the
way.
That's
how
easy
it
is
to
operate
and
what
we
do.
If
you
have
any
questions
at
all,
I'd
love
to
answer
them,
but
I
would
appreciate
granting
us
this
variance.
So
we
can
move
forward
with
the
construction.
A
A
A
A
A
A
C
A
A
A
E
A
D
A
Only
serve
one
year,
but
my
current
job
situation
is
pretty
flexible
and
I
think
will
allow
me
to
serve
as
chair
for
another
year,
so
I'm
happy
to
do
it
for
another
year
and
yeah.
Unless
someone
else,
unless
there's
an
opposition
or
a
coup
at
stake,
I
don't
know
anyone.
Mr.
Vorhees
wants
to
take
over
or
something
but
I
think.
A
A
C
A
C
E
B
A
Okay,
I
guess
one
other
other
item.
I
could
add
here.
I
know,
I
say
this
in
a
lot
of
meetings,
but
it's
it's
been
I've
been
validated
now
Oklahoma
City
just
got
an
award
as
one
of
the
top
cities
to
work
with
in
the
in
the
country.
I
think
this.
You
know
our
efforts
here
and
all
that
it
that's
an
example
of
why
that
is
because
we're
here
you
know
making
sure
the
business
of
the
city
continues
and
I
know.
Other
boards
and
commissions
are
as
well
so
just
want
to
express
my
thanks.
