council-manager
award

john
views
of
davis
views,
design,
group
and
read
something
here
so
John
Bews
has
managed
Davis
buse
design
group
here
in
oldsmar
they're,
located
at
150
state
street
east
for
the
fast
pay
for
the
past
15
years
of
their
20
year.
Company
history,
so
they've
been
here
since
1994.
His
company
designs
houses
for
many
of
the
top
national
builders,
both
locally
and
throughout
the
country.

As
a
company
Davis
views
has
also
designed
and
built
the
first
mixed-use
buildings
in
the
downtown
area
where
he
has
choked
chosen
to
locate
his
world
headquarters
so
ramparts
square
just
down
the
street
is
where
his
office
is
located.
He
also
designs
and
builds
limited-edition
homes
of
strength,
Beauty
and
function
throughout
the
city.
He
has
recently
collaborated
with
the
city
of
old
tomorrow
in
the
haze
park
village
cottages,
which
is
going
to
be
right
across
from
the
fire
station.

As
a
member
of
the
old
Mark
community,
John
has
participated
in
the
oldsmar
citizen
Academy
and
has
served
on
our
Janice
Miller
altamar
citizen
Academy
and
has
served
on
the
ol
Tamar
Economic
Development
Committee.
For
the
past
ten
years,
but
most
importantly,
John
has
been
an
old,
my
resident
for
the
last
22
years.

He
built
his
house
when
the
roads
were
still
dirt
and
he
continues
to
agree
that
it's
the
greatest
place
to
live
work
and
play
so
John
not
only
brings
valuable
residential
business
opportunities
to
our
city,
he's
also
a
visionary
leader
and
a
stand-up
human
being
I
admire
your
work
and
your
design.
He
brings
period
architecture
into
new
construction,
so
a
lot
of
those
new
construction
houses.
You
see,
especially
in
the
downtown
area,
his
company
purchases,
those
lots
and
then
builds
new
construction
houses
that
have
kind
of
that
historic
bungalow
architecture.

looks
that
are
timeless
and
that
really
represent
the
history
that
our
city
was
founded
on.

him
a

a

to
receive
an
award

recognized
for
doing
what
I
love
to
do
so.
For
me,
it's
really
not
work,
but
I
do
love
the
city,
I'm
sure.
Anyone
that
knows
me
knows
that
it's
been
very
good
to
myself.
My
family
and
our
company
I've
always
been
very
helpful.

council
and
many
previous
councils
prior
to
this
so
I
certainly
don't
plan
on
doing
anything
different
than
building
great
houses
and
designing
them
as
well
and
raising
my
family
here
in
this
wonderful
town,
we
call
old
Tamar
the
I
think
the
his
thing
I'd
like
about
altomare
is
it's
grown
in
the
past
22
years,
but
it's
really
still
a
small
town.
It's
really
cool
everybody
kind
of
knows
each
other,
but
we've
we've
grown
enough
to
be
made.
Maybe
some
maturity.

know
where
people
recognize
us
now
or
not
full
of
dirt
roads
right.

really
grateful

that
and
all
the
leadership
that
the
city
provides,
which
is
kind

what
got
us

maintaining

wonderful

customer
service,
clerk
and
utility
billing
part
of
the
finance
operation
and
administrative
services
and
you've
been
in
that
position,
the
10
years
that
you've
worked
for
us
right
all.

worked

long

wanted
to
just
take
a
minute
and
in
case
there's
a
few
people
or
maybe
they'll.

watch

watch
the

job

involved

utility.
Billing
involves,

course,
the
utility
bills
and
for
each
month
there's
over
5,000
customers
that
get
a
bill

we're
expecting
all

them

pay
us
every
month.

job

but

things

particular

wanted
to
mention
about
the
job
you
do
is
that
actually
there
are
over
the
course

a
year,
millions

dollars

flow

office

the
work
that
you
do
is
very
important
for
providing
service
to
the
customers,
but
also,
you
know,
maintaining
the
financial
operations
of
the
city.

here
on
your
10th
anniversary,
it's

plan

an
annual
basis.

little
more
background
on
this
item.
This
is
resolution
2014
dash
ten,
a
resolution
of
the
city
of
oldsmar
florida,
adopting
the
2013
concurrency
test
statement
pursuant
to
the
requirements
of
the
land
development
code,
article
11
and
providing
an
effective
date.

a
short
background.
Oh
and
this
is
required
every
year
as
the
city
manager
is
stated,
and
it's
basically
to
ensure
that
adequate
public
facilities
are
available.
For
you
know
all
the
developments
that
occurred
for
that
year,

so
that
includes
you

water
sewer,
transportation,
solid
waste,
Parks
and
Recreation
drainage.

there
were
four
developments
that
were
approved
by
the
City
Council
and
staff.
Three
of
them
were
residential,
one
was
Wellington
estates,

single-family
homes,
your
Tuscany
woods,
south.
It
was
a
26
townhome
unit
and
touch
me
woods
north,
which
was
54
townhouse.
It
was
one
commercial
building,
107
pickney
and
it's
a
3720
square
foot
printing
facility
for
the
population.
The
population
this
year
for
the
city
was
thirteen
thousand
seven
hundred
twenty-five
and
that's
very
close
to
our
US
Census
count,
which
was
thirteen
thousand
five
hundred
and
ninety-one.

wanted
to
touch
on
something
it
combines
with
one
of
the
council
agenda
items
and
my
recent
trip.
I
just
got
back
from
California
cuz
I
went
out
to
attend
my
mentees
graduation
from
Caltech
California
Institute
of
Technology,
and
it
was
wonderful
and
I
took
a
couple
side
trips
and
the
report
in
here
that
Marie
went.
You
know
I
can't
remember
what
exactly
what
was
called.
But
what
was
yes,
that
one
I
was
reading
about
the
population
change
and
the
usage
in
water
and
the
usage
in
reclaimed,
water
and
everything.

it's
interesting
that
we
went
right
when
we
started
our
recycling.
We
went
we
more
than
doubled
the
amount
that
we
recycled,
which
was
wonderful,
but
now
we've
we've
stepped
off
a
little
bit
in
2013,
so
I'd
like
to
encourage
the
residents
to
use
our
single
stream
recycling
in
California
I
was
very
impressed
that
the
City
of
Pasadena
does
not
allow
any
plastic
bag.

it's
plastic
bags,
it's
plastic

we
in
oldsmar
can
can
recycle
every
single
type
of
plastic.
So
just
imagine
having
a
huge
twice
the
size
of
Texas
lump
of
plastic
out
in

Gulf.
Imagine
that
imagine
every
time
you
throw
something
in
the
garbage
can,
instead
of
putting
it
in
the
recycle
bin,
it's
ending
up
in
the
ocean
and
it's
it's
ruining
our
environment.
It's
not
a
hard
thing
to
do.
It's
a
recycle
so
I'm
glad
that
we
did
more
than
double
it,
but
I
hope
that
maybe
we
can
get
that.

someone
wants

business
wants

do

You
know
the
service
is
available
through
Republic
and
there's.
You
know
small
charge,
it's
two
dollars
in
ten
cents
or
two
dollars
and
thirty
cents

month

cart
for
once
a
week
pick
up,
so
it
is
available,
but
for
a
lot
of
businesses
they
are
doing
something
on
their
own
already.
If
they
have
enough
quantity,
are
there
if
they're
small,
they
kind
of
like?
Well,
it's
not
worth
the
trouble
or
the
calls
have.

I
was
very

mean
a
lot
of
stuffs,

California

I
know

people
think

lot

weirdos
live
in
California

that's

they
also
really
care
about
the
environment.

saw
more
electric
cars,
more
Priuses,
more
Tesla's
more
and
it's

more
of
a
environmental
conscious
that
the
communities
have
and-

we
in
all
tomorrow

mean
we're
laura
or
a
green
city.
We
have
the
first
leed-certified
water
plant.

and

the

in

to
be

and
we
expect
the
parents

each
week.

expect
about

people

ceremonies

on
the
