Our
next
item
on
the
agenda
is
our
citizens
open
Forum.
Each
speaker
will
be
recognized
once
and
be
limited
to
five
minute
presentation
on
any
subject.
Please
state
your
name
and
your
address
for
the
record.
The
open
Forum
will
conclude
at
7
30..
Is
there
anybody
in
the
audience
that
would
like
to
speak
to
the
council?
Come
on
up
cool.
D
C
I'm,
here
to
speak
against
the
speed
bumps
on
Shore,
Drive
and
I,
understand
proposed
on
Lafayette
I
need
your
name
and
address
real
quick.
Oh
I
apologize,
okay,
Richard
manno,
that's
Amazon,
Mary
a-n-n-o.
Every
good
Catholic
should
have
Mary
in
their
name.
Somehow
and
I
live
at
651,
Timber,
Bay,
Circle
West
in
Oldsmar,
perfect,
perhaps
a
sense
of
History.
C
Unfortunately
I'm
certain
I
believe
you
all
are
very
unintentionally
slightly
dishonoring
the
member
memory
of
Ransom
e
olds.
When
he
started
in
business,
most
of
America
was
unpaved.
The
the
roads
were
were
bumpy
and
awful.
Have
they
never
been
smoothed
it's
doubtful.
His
renowned
business
venture
would
have
ever
succeeded
and
this
Fairground
would
never
have
had
its
namesake.
C
Further,
when
my
companion
moved
to
Oldsmar
in
1985,
Lafayette
was
as
yet
unpaved
and
many
a
time
and
off.
She
has
described
to
me
how,
when
she
first
came
here
and
she
relishes
the
opportunity
to
do
it,
of
course,
how
she
go
and
now
she's
saying
to
me,
you
know
Richard
they're,
doing
it
again
and
I
really
hope
that
after
some
30
years,
I
had
put
that
in
my
past
regret.
On
top
of
that,
you
know
the
old
saying
get
a
horse.
C
C
Please
correct
me
I've
been
wrong
many
times.
My
understanding
was
that
many
people
are
speeding
on
Shore
Drive.
Now
one
question
I'd
have
is
in
the
details.
When
we
talk
speeding,
are
we
talking
26
miles
an
hour
because
it's
a
25
miles
an
hour
zone
or
not
this
vast
difference
between
Timber
Bay
Circle,
which
is
also
25
miles
an
hour
just
Zone
I
make
it
a
point
of
self-discipline
to
be
under
20.?
C
Why
three
times
in
my
roughly
21
years,
there
I've
had
little
kids
shoot
in
front
of
me
and
had
I
been
going
25
instead
of
under
20,
which
I
attempt
to
do.
There
could
have
been
a
tragedy
for
more
people
than
we
want
to
know.
Difference
between
Timber
Bay
circle
with
the
the
cars
are
parked
on
the
median.
The
sidewalks
are
close
to
the
road.
The
houses
are
close
to
the
road,
and
many
cars
are
parked
in
the
street
as
opposed
to
Shore
Drive,
where,
frankly,
I
think
a
more
fair
speed
limit.
C
There
would
be
35..
The
houses
are
far
removed.
There's
a
what
the
sidewalk
is
far
removed.
The
cars
don't
park
on
the
median
the
cars
don't
park
in
the
road
you're
going
to
see
somebody
walking
along
Shore
Drive.
My
suggestion
would
be
which
they
did
some
years
ago,
set
up
at
speed.
Trap
on
Shore
Drive
after
a
few
days,
people
will
get
the
message
if
you
think
they're
going
like
40
or
something
like
that.
E
So
we
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you
for
putting
it.
As
most
of
you
know,
this
is
probably
the
only
thing
I've
publicly
ever
complained
about
how
unsafe
I
feel
like
Lafayette
is
I
feel
unsafe
with
my
children,
because
there's
people
always
flying
not
going
26
miles
per
hour,
going
probably
closer
to
40.
E
and
I
feel
unsafe
for
myself,
I
run
in
the
mornings
and
I
see
people
flying
going
through,
stop
signs
and
I'm
lucky
that
I'm
wearing
bright
colors
and
as
a
woman
I
do
have
to
be
very
careful
in
those
situations
anyway.
So
I
do
appreciate
that
you
are
trying
to
make
it
so
that
we
have
reduced
speeding.
So
I
do
really
appreciate
there
being
speed.
Humps
there
I
know
it's
not
a
popular
opinion,
but
and
personally
no
I,
don't
really
like
speed
bumps,
but
it's
it
does
the
job.
E
It
gets
people
to
slow
down
and
that's
what
we
need
to
happen
on
that
road.
So
I
feel
very
passionate
about
it
being
slower
on
Lafayette
because,
like
I
said,
I
don't
feel
safe
and
I.
Don't
feel
safe
with
my
kids
and
there's
several
people
on
that
street.
With
kids,
Miss
Gannon,
for
example,
I
have
several
other
neighbors
with
young
kids.
We
don't
feel
safe.
So
we
thank
you
for
putting
those
speed
humps
there
and
that
we
do
hope
it
could
stay
there
as
long
as
possible.
E
A
Is
there
anybody
else
in
the
audience
that
would
like
to
speak
to
the
city
council?
Okay,
thank
you

much,
I'm

A
G
Thank
you
mayor,
so
I
think
the
question
was
why
the
the
city
installed
the
speed
cushions,
so
we
did
receive
a
complaint
of
speeding
on
Shore
Drive,
and
so
we
performed
a
a
a
speed
study
of
the
area
that
we
received
a
complaint
which
is
Dunkirk
and
Shore
Drive.
We
noted
that
about
I
I
believe
it
was
about
86
percent
of
the
vehicles
that
were
traveling
down.
Shore
Drive
at
that
location
were
going
over
the
speed
limit
about
for
the
first
time
we
did
it.
G
G
Totaling
a
month
of
a
span,
we
wrote
tickets,
we
wrote
warnings,
then
we
did
another
seed,
speed
study
at
the
end
of
that
about
three
months
or
so
later,
because
you
have
to
Federal
Highway
Administration
says
that
any
sort
of
changing
in
behavior
is
a
three-month
time
period.
So
we
did
another
speed.
Study
and
so
we
found
no
decrease
or
it
was
very
negligent
negligible
and
the
amount
of
people
speeding
over
over
25
miles
an
hour.
G
So
it
was
still
at
that,
like
86
84
percent
around
there,
and
then
we
actually
found
an
increase
of
enforceable
violations
during
that
time
period
to
47
percent.
So
you
know,
that's
that's
why
the
city
chose
to
to
put
in
the
speed
cushions
and
we're
just
doing
it
for
a
test
right
now.
So
we're
going
to
put
that
in
for
three
months,
there's
going
to
be
a
place
for
Community
input
and
then
and
then
we'll
make
the
decision.
G
You
know
based
on
those
two
factors
right
what
the
speed
studies
will
say
and
then
what
the
community
input
is
going
to
say,
So
based
on
a
combination
of
those,
but
it's
a
it's
a
city
council
priority
for
downtown
mobility
and
it's
a
council
priority
for
safety.
So
that's
that's
the
reasoning
behind
that
and
that's
what
the
data
showed
us.
A
Thank
you
so
much
you're
welcome.
Thank
you.
Felicia
I'm,
going
to
open
up
the
Oldsmar
open
Forum.
You
have
a
question
ma'am!
You
want
to
come
up.
Please
address
us
with
your
name
and
address.
Please.
H
G
I
H
What
I
don't
understand
is
why
are
there
three
of
them
in
a
row
between
because
I,
to
get
to
where
I'm
at
I've
got
to
go
down
to
Kilsyth?
So
it's
like
three
in
a
row
I
to
me.
I
would
think
that
maybe
you
should
spread
it
out
more
because
I
tried
it
myself
afterwards
and
I
went
all
the
way
down
to
what's
the
next
one,
I
can't
think
of
the
name
of
it
right
before
the
park
and
I
can
pick
up
speed
very
easily
in
that
stretch
too
yeah.
H
So,
if
I'm
looking
to
use
it
as
a
racetrack
at
night,
probably
you
know
it
happened.
When
I
lived
up
in
Jersey,
you
know
certain
streets
where
life's
along
and
straight
so
I
can
see
why
Lafayette
gets
used
like
that
too
people
rushing
to
work
in
the
morning
when
they're
trying
to
jog
right.
So
just
why?
Are
they
three
in
a
row
between
those
two
streets
and
not
spread
out
more.
G
G
That
is
where
the
speed
study
was
performed
at
that
intersection
of
Dunkirk
and
and
Dunkirk
and
Shore
Drive,
and
then
in
the
combination
with
the
speed
cushions
that
will
be
applied
that
are
being
applied
today
this
week
on
Lafayette
we're
going
to
study
the
whole
thing
again
to
see
what
Behavior
changes
incur
after
that,
so
so
I
invite
everyone
to
come
to
participate
and
if
you
get
a
any
sort
of
future
postcard
or
mailing
that
you
know
when
you
hear
about
another
Community
Forum
to
come
and
we're
gonna
we're
gonna
test
the
effectiveness
of
those
devices.
G
So
so
those
that
those
the
speed
cushions
are
again,
they
were
selected
by
our
team,
and
they
they
are,
they
are.
They
are
actually
designed
at
different
rates
of
speed,
so
they
select
those
intentionally
so
the
heights
of
them,
the
widths
of
them,
are
all.
H
J
H
Very
hard-
and
it's
like
no
matter
how
I
try
and
navigate
around
it
I
have
to
literally
come
to
a
stop
and
just
go
over
it.
I'm
sorry,
sound
effects,
free,
no
charge
and
so
recently
went
to
a
meeting
at
the
library
on
Country,
Countryside,
countryway
off
of,
and
they
have
these
wonderful,
humps
and
you'd
still
have
to
slow
down
to
go
over
them.
But
at.
K
H
It's
it's
Pleasant,
it's
more
of
a
common.
These
are
more
like.
Do.
I
have
to
go
over
these
again
because
I
have
no
choice
but
to
go
over
three
of
them
to
get
to
shore
lake
Place
yeah,
as
you
do
too
so.
I've
tried
everything
from
straddling
over
here
straddling
over
there,
and
then
people
are
like
annoyed
with
me
because
they've
got
their
big
Yahoo
trucks.
Excuse
me
no,
no
offense
intended
and
that
your
wheels
can
just
go
over
like
this.
You
know
just
thank
you
for
hearing.
A

you

much.

When
it

incomprehensible

As
the
city

mentioned,
this
was
one
of
only
three
we
could
submit
for
the
award
I
wish
we
could
have
done
more,
but
but
what
I'd
like
to
read,
if
you
don't
mind
for
a
minute,
is
what
I
submitted
for
this
and
I
put
overall,
the
old
smart
orbit

campaign
stands
out
for
it's
an
Innovative
and
creative
approach
to
promoting
a
unique
public

by
utilizing
Cutting

technology,
a
powerful

in
a
range
of
compelling

materials.
K
The
campaign
successfully
drove
traffic
to
the
planet
walk
while
generating
excitement
among
diverse
audiences.
The
ultimate
orbit
marketing
campaign
was
a
resounding
success,
achieving
the
primary
objective
of
driving
traffic
to
the
local
parks
and
increasing
the
awareness
of
the
installation.
One
of
the
key
indicators
of
the
campaign
success
was
the
high
level
of
Engagement
it
generated
among
the
target
audience.
The
custom-made
mobile
application
has
been
downloaded
over
1100
times
since
its
initial
launch
indicating
strong
interest
for
this
unique
Adventure
Additionally.
K
The
video
you
just
saw
featuring
mistat
as
a
spokesperson,
was
viewed
extensively
on
social
media,
helping
to
build
momentum
and
generate
excitement
for
the
installation.
The
campaign
also
had
a
significant
impact
on
local
tourism,
as
demonstrated
by
the
increase
in
foot
traffic
at
local
parks,
with
many
visitors
citing
Oldsmar
and
orbit
as
the
reason
for
visiting.
Furthermore,
the
campaign
received
positive
media
coverage,
further
increasing
awareness
of
the
project
and
its
unique
features.
This
helped
to
generate
a
buzz
and
establish
it
as
a
must-see
attraction
for
visitors
and
residents
alike.
K
Overall,
the
old
smart
orbit
marketing
campaign
successfully
achieved
its
goals
and
objectives
using
strategies
in
Creative
Marketing
materials
to
drive
traffic.
It
also
established
a
planet
walk
as
a
significant
and
exciting
addition
to
the
community
and
I
won't
cry
promise,
but
this
was
such
a
team
effort.
K
What
Mark
and
Lee
Sun
pretty
much
everybody
did
is
mind-blowing.
Second,
this
is
the
only
second
one
in
the
country.
F
I
K
K
So
cool
I'd
like
to
present
this.
Nobody
has
any
questions:
I'm,
sorry
to
the

of

Thank
you
so
much
wonderful.

In
accordance
with
these

the

This

Staff
initiated
a

of
the

the

for

the

The
purpose
of
this

is
to
alleviate
the

cost
to
conduct
the

The

that
many

G
For

on
the

staff
recommends
that
the

that
their

I
Thank
you,
I
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you
to
our
city,
Claire
Kirsten
Garcia,
for
doing
this
research
I
think
like
many
of
our
other
fees
that
we've
discovered
recently
impact
fees,
Wastewater,
storm
water.
I
A
lot
of
our
fees
are
not
in
keeping
with
the
times
in
our
neighbors
and
in
keeping
with
the
soft
costs,
the
overhead
costs
and
staff
time
that
it
takes
to
to
do
these
things
and
the
city
can't
reasonably
sort
of
absorb
those
costs
for
your
neighbor's
lean
search
right,
because
if
it's
costing
the
city
overall
more
to
do
a
task,
that's
for
one
citizen.
It
just
doesn't
make
sense.
So
thank
you
for
taking
the
initiative
to
do
this
research
and
for
the
data
that
you
provided
along
with
it.
A
Thank

any

Anybody
else
I
just

I,

that
what

this

A
C
A
O
You
mayor
first
kind
of
learned
a
lot
today
41
tomorrow,
Happy
Birthday
44,
but
thank
you
yes.
Secondly,
I
don't
know
if
you've
had
an
opportunity
yet
to
visit
our
new
website
that
went
live
today.
O
I
got
an
opportunity
to
see
this
before
I
went
to
the
butterfly
exhibit
tonight,
which
was
also
something
I'm
going
to
talk
about
as
well
amazing
job
on
the
new
website,
I
thought
it
was
amazing
to
see
how
it's
structured
to
see
how
things
are
laid
out
very
easy
to
read,
get
a
chance,
go
to
mylesmar.com
great
new
book
for
the
city
and
very
easy
to
navigate
for
the
citizens.
The
butterfly
exhibit
next
door
awesome
job.
O
Looking
at
all
the
butterflies,
I
didn't
get
a
chance
for
them
all,
because
I
couldn't
find
my
car
keys
to
get
all
my
stuff
for
tonight.
So
I
run
around
trying
to
find
my
car
keys.
O
Secondly,
I've
been
saying
it
now
for
I,
don't
know
how
long
and
I'll
keep
saying
it,
but
June
15th
and
June
22nd
come
on
out
right.
June
15th.
We
got
the
rfps
coming
in
June
22nd
Community
engagement
over
at
the
Hampton
Inn,
no.
O
O
Workshop
on
the
15th
and
then
two
local,
you
know
I
had
a
chance
to
go
Village
in
not
once
but
twice
I,
don't
know
if
you've
had
a
chance
to
go
great
new,
look
for
them.
I
think
they're
still
trying
to
get
going
there,
but
had
a
great
service
great
opportunity
to
go
there
and
have
a
good
meal.
The
other
opportunity
coming
up
is
the
Casbah.
O
Cafe
I
had
an
opportunity
to
meet
the
owners
there
and
really
nice
people
they're
going
to
be
opening
up
here
on
State
Street
at
the
Galleria
here
shortly.
So
look
forward
to
them.
Opening
you
have
a
date
I,
don't
they
they're
not
quite
sure
just
yet
we
had
a
soft
tasting
about
a
week
ago,
wonderful,
food,
all
homemade,
Moroccan
type,
Mediterranean
Fusion,
so
really
interesting.
N
You
mayor
just
a
couple
of
things:
happy
early
birthday,
see.
J
N
N
I
wanted
to
touch
on
the
Memorial
Day
ceremony.
I
thought
that
was.
It
was
very
special,
as
it
is
every
year
for
us
and
I
wanted
to
give
a
shout
out
to
the
new
Power
couple
leadership
of
our
VFW
and
auxiliary
the
mckinleys
I
think
they
will
take
continue
to
take
that
organization
to
higher
Heights,
so
they
Tanya
was
just
sworn
in
as
the
president
of
the
auxiliary
right
after
the
conclusion
of
that
ceremony.
N
So
looking
forward
to
great
things
from
them,
happy
early,
Father's
Day
to
all
the
fathers
out
there,
including
my
pups
and
finally,
a
happy
early
birthday
to
my
father
too,
we'll
be
turning.
J
Graber
well
I
do
appreciate
all
the
birthday
wishes.
Thank
you
so
very
much
as
all
of
you
know,
it's
not
my
birthday,
it's
my
daughters,
so
my
six-year-old
girl,
little
girl
will
turn
seven
tomorrow.
So
she
turns
seven
on
the
seventh,
so
I'd
had
to
take
her
to
the
mall
and
buy
her
Seven
Gifts,
which
I.
J
Do
and
she
told
one
of
the
store
clerks
next
year.
She
gets
eight
we're
not
so
sure
about
that.
Speaking
of
other
birthdays,
my
dad
turned
76
yesterday,
so
happy
birthday
to
him.
I
was
able
to
speak
with
him.
I
will
be
seeing
him
tomorrow.
I
get
to
see
my
daughter
in
the
morning
and
then
I
have
to
leave
because
I'm
going
to
the
Florida
League
of
cities,
Florida
Municipal,
Investment
Trust
meeting
in
St
Augustine,
so
my
daughter
understands
not
very
pleased.
J
But
anyway
my
parents
live
up
that
way,
so
I
get
to
see
them
for
a
few
hours
and
then
head
on
over
then
I'll
be
back
home
on
the
8th,
which
is
good.
There's
one
other
thing:
I
thought
I
had
nope
just
happy
Father's
Day
to
everybody
up
here,
everybody's
gotten
just
have
a
wonderful
month.
I
didn't
realize
it
was
going
to
be
coming
up
before
we
met
again,
but
that's
all
I
have
mayor.
Thank
you
guys,
wonderful.
J
I
You
mayor
and
thank
you
councilmember
Graver,
for
serving
on
the
trust,
even
though
it
causes
you
to
miss
your
person.
It's
okay,
a
couple
things
I
had
the
opportunity
to
attend
the
forward:
Pinellas
school
Transportation
safety
committee,
meeting
on
May
24th,
so
much
useful
information,
I'll,
try
to
recap
some
of
the
high
points
as
quickly
as
possible.
School
is
out
which,
of
course,
all
of
us
parents
know,
but
Summer
Bridge
has
started
so
don't
forget
that
there
are
still
students
walking
to
school
biking
to
school.
There
are
still
buses
at
bus
stops
out
there.
I
I
Exactly
well
some
interesting
information
so
just
prior
to
the
meeting,
so
the
meeting
was
on
May
24th,
so
the
Tuesday
prior,
the
school
board
had
just
approved
the
Pinellas
County
school
board
had
approved
a
20
per
hour.
Salary
increase,
not
20
to
20
per
hour
for
all
of
our
bus
drivers
and
the
reason
that
that's
important
is
because
that
puts
us
slightly
higher
than
our
neighboring
counties
and
we're
really
hoping
to
get
some
of
those
drivers.
I
If
you're
a
parent
in
this
area,
especially
with
middle
schoolers
or
high
schoolers,
you
know
that
routes
have
been
extraordinarily
late
hours
late
regularly.
It's
extremely
frightening,
it's
extremely
irritating,
to
say
the
least,
because
you
don't
know
where
your
child
is
right
and
they're
waiting
at
school
to
be
picked
up.
It's
happened
to
Jackson.
Sometimes
bus
drivers
have
to
do
an
elementary
route
and
then
a
middle
school
route.
I
000
bus
stops
in
the
county.
Okay,
so
that's
three
sets
of
times
that's
elementary
middle
and
high
school.
Okay
and
the
the
other
wrench
that
gets
thrown
into
this,
which
makes
it
really
difficult
is
bus.
Stops
that
exist
now
may
not
exist
in
three
more
years,
because
those
students
who
live
in
those
locations
are
moving
up
to
Middle.
School
are
moving
up
to
high
school
or
moving
out
of
the
school
system
entirely.
I
So
it's
very
difficult
to
kind
of
always
work
with
this
moving
Target,
but
there's
always
a
shortage
of
bus
drivers
and
too
many
routes,
other
complicating
factors,
Believe
It
or
Not
US
19
at
Curlew
being
closed
at
all
of
the
U-turn
locations
for
the
next
six
years.
While
they
do
that,
overpass
is
going
to
have
a
massive
impact,
maybe
not
so
much
for
us,
but
it's
going
to
have
a
massive
impact
for
where
bus
stops
are
and
they
are
evaluating
forward.
I
Pinellas
is
evaluating
the
safety
of
all
of
our
bus
stops
on
a
sliding
scale.
I
have
all
that
information,
because
there
are
students
waiting
in
the
dark.
There
are
students
waiting
on
extremely
high
traffic
roads
where
the
speed
limit
is
above
35
miles
an
hour
where
there's
more
than
two
lanes
of
traffic,
and
so
we
need
to
make
those
bus
stops
safer,
and
so
that's
what
they're
doing
over
the
summer
they're
collecting
this
data
to
figure
out
what
stops
need
to
be
made
safer
last
thing
crossing
guards.
I
So
we
love
our
crossing
guards
here
in
Oldsmar
and
for
Forest
Lakes
for
the
elementary
schools,
but
you
might
not
realize
so
it
matters
especially
for
the
county,
because
Saint
Pete
has
a
police
department.
So
a
shortage
of
10
crossing
guards
for
all
of
the
schools
in
St
Pete
doesn't
sound
all
that
awful
okay,
we
need
10.,
clear
water
again,
their
own
police
department.
They
need
20.
Pinellas
County
Sheriff's
Office
is
short
91
crossing
guards.
I
If
you
know
anyone
and
I'm
very
serious,
the
crossing
guards
help
kids
who
are
walking
to
schools.
We,
if
you
have
a
kid
that
walks
to
school
here
in
Oldsmar,
please
say
thank
you
to
those
crossing
guards.
I
know
crossing
guard
John
over
here
at
Oldsmar.
Elementary
film
broke
his
shoulder.
We
started
a
meal
train
for
him.
We
want
those
folks
to
stay
because
they
keep
our
kids
safe.
So
some
very
interesting
information
and
I
I
Echo.
I
All
of
the
the
kind
sentiments
for
Memorial
Day,
the
butterflies
of
it
is,
is
wonderful,
but
just
my
last
comments
are
about
the
speed
cushions
and
the
reason
I
bring
this
up
again
and
thank
you
city
manager,
for
providing
some
additional
contacts
at
the
beginning
of
the
meeting,
I
Heard
a
really
appropriate
sentiment
that
everybody
cares
about
safety
until
it's
inconvenient
and
I
understand
that
a
speed
cushion
or
speed
hump
or
whatever
traffic
control
devices.
I
If
it's
a
rapid
flashing
Beacon,
if
it's
a
stop
sign,
if
it's
a
roundabout,
you
know
we
don't
always
like
to
slow
down
our
daily
commute
right.
We
all
have
places
to
go
and
things
to
do
our
Engineers,
our
Pinellas
County
Sheriff's,
Office
deputies,
our
fire
chief.
They
aren't
necessarily
looking
at
convenience
and
what's
easiest
for
us
to
get
around
town
they're,
looking
at
what
saves
lives
and
what's
important
for
us
to
be
safe.
So
when
we
make
certain
decisions,
I
have
to
rely
on
data
and
I
know
you
guys
do
too
right.
I
So,
while
I
might
not
understand
all
of
the
reasons
why
we
can't
have
a
stoplight
or
why
a
roundabout
is
most
appropriate
or
why
these
type
of
speed
cushions
are
appropriate
for
this
area.
I
am
not
a
traffic
engineer.
We
have
one
of
those.
Thank
goodness
and
I.
Gotta.
Tell
you,
when
I
got
text
messages
from
a
lot
of
moms?
I
Actually,
of
course,
because
I'm,
a
mom
who
were
really
grateful,
that
these
speed
cushions
were
being
installed,
and
then
I
heard
something
very
disheartening
that
there
were
some
people
who
were
afraid
to
comment
or
afraid
to
communicate
their
gratitude
to
the
city
for
the
speed
cushions,
because
they
were
worried
or
nervous
about
their
neighbor's
reactions
on
social
media,
whether
it's
next
door
or
Facebook.
And
that
is
perhaps
the
most
horrifying
thing.
I
I
I
think
all
of
us
will
continue
to
maintain
that
Council
priority
of
the
safety
of
everyone
in
the
city,
especially
our
children
who
may
Dart
into
traffic,
because
you
know
what
that's
who
those
speed
bumps
are
for.
That's
who
it's
for?
It's
not
for
me.
You
know
yeah.
My
van
takes
those
things
like
a
rock
I,
get
that
I
know
that
they
have
to
be.
You
know
those
type
of
humps,
because
we
can't
slow
down
a
fire
truck.
I
You
know,
but
when
my
kids
got
on
their
tricycles
this
morning
and
rode
them
to
the
sidewalk,
because
they're
not
allowed
to
go
past
the
sidewalk
and
they
shouted
to
our
city
staff
out
there
saying
thank
you
for
the
speed
lumps
they
make
us
safer.
You
know:
Maddie
reads
that
book
the
city
that
talks
from
the
Florida
League
of
cities.
She
went
right
out
there
and
told
them.
Thank
you,
and
so
I
I
would
encourage
those
people
who
have
these
concerns
to
not
be
afraid.
I
Please
give
us
your
feedback,
please
let
us
know
your
areas
of
concern.
I
already
have
two
other
areas
of
concern
where
folks
would
like
to.
You
know
see
speed,
bumps
and
and
I
I
caution
you
we
have
to
have
the
data,
so
we
are
doing
certain
things
to
get
that
data.
One
of
them
is
creating
an
entire,
don't
correct
me:
Felicia,
it's
a
multi-modal
transportation
plan.
What's
it
called
downtown
Mobility
study,
okay,
so
in
the
downtown
area,
especially
downtown
Mobility
study
will
help
us
understand
where
these,
especially
these
types
of
devices
are
needed.
I
A
It
absolutely,
of
course,
well
thank
thank
you
for
being
on
that
Transportation
committee
and
taking
care
of
all
that
and
keeping
us
updated.
We're
very
grateful
for
that
sure.
So,
I
want
to
talk
about
speed,
bumps,
really
quick.
When
I
moved
into
East
Lake
Oaks
in
1997,
we
had
no
speed
bumps.
Then
one
day
I
came
home
from
work.
We
had
a
speed
bump
on
split
Fork,
Drive.
A
A
Way
through
all
the
way
in
until
it
turns
yeah,
so
you
get
to
that.
Stop
sign
and
the
cars
used
to
fly
and
I'll,
remember,
I,
believe
it
was
Jim
roniker
who
lives
in
my
neighborhood
was
the
one
who
advocated
for
those
speed
bumps
and
they
have.
They
have
helped
our
neighborhood
at
first
I
didn't
like
them,
I'll
be
honest.
I
was
like
not
happy
with
it,
but
now
over
the
years,
those
speed
bumps
have
really
helped
our
neighborhood
and
the
children.
I
really
believe
that.
A
So,
thanks
for
all
your
information
on
that
councilmember
again-
and
thank
you
a
couple
things
I
got:
I
attended
the
Dunedin
City
Hall
Grand
Opening
on
Friday,
May,
19th
and
I
got
to
tell
you.
It
was
a
really
nice
event.
It
gave
me
some
ideas
about
our
city
hall.
You
know
if
that
changes,
but
I
was
really
really
impressed
with
Julie
the
the
mayor.
A
She
in
her
speech
she
talked
about
how
she
had
seven
open
houses
for
the
public,
so
the
public
could
come
out
and
and
give
them
their
ideas,
and
the
City
Hall
was
actually
designed
by
the
residents
and
they
talked
about
location,
I,
think
the
location
they
picked
was
perfect.
They
talked
about
a
she
talked
about,
they
wanted
to
put
in
a
parking
garage
and
they
decided
not
to
so.
Instead,
they
made
the
city
hall
a
little
bit
smaller
and
made
the
parking
lot
larger
for
cars
to
park.
A
So
when
I
got
there,
it
was
packed
and
I
was
able
to
find
a
place
to
park.
I
was
very
impressed
right
inside
the
parking
lot.
It
was
no
problems.
All
the
local
restaurants
came
out.
They
had
food
for
everybody,
The
Lobster
Pot,
you
name
it
all.
The
Dunedin
restaurants
were
there,
it
was
attended
by
the
residents
of
the
city,
and
the
city
staffed,
did
an
incredible
job
and
they
took
us
on
a
small
mini
tour
of
the
city
hall
and
I
have
to
tell
you.
A
I
was
very
impressed
and
I
can
see
the
future
of
our
city
with
a
new
city
hall.
I
can
actually
see
it
now
because
of
going
to
that
grand
opening
ribbon
cutting
ceremony
and
I
wanted
to
share
that
with
the
council,
because
I
think
our
one
of
our
sister
cities-
that's
real
close
here
in
Pinellas
County.
If
you
have
time,
go
check
out
that
City
Hall,
it's
it's
absolutely
beautiful.
A
A
A
It
was,
it
was
packed,
I
mean
we
were
at
the
start:
gate,
Andrew
and
I.
We
introduced
the
crowd,
invited
everybody
Welcome
to
everybody,
but
the
line
went
all
the
way
to
City
Hall
of
Runners.
It
was,
it
was
really
a
great
event:
Tampa
Bay,
Brewing
Company.
You
know
they
get
involved
in
that,
whether
it's
the
free
beer
or
the
food
they
hand
out.
It's
just
that
they
get
in
really
involved
and,
of
course,
ultimar
cares
all
their
volunteers
that
that
helped
make
that
event.
A
A
successful
event
for
the
city
of
Oldsmar
is
truly
a
wonderful
event
that
we
have
here
in
our
city.
I
wanted
to
share
that.
As
vice
mayor
said,
the
Memorial
Day
event
I
want
to
thank
everybody
councilmember
again
and
everybody.
Your
speeches
were
excellent:
councilmember,
Graber,
councilmember,
Buckman,
excellent,
vice
mayor
excellent.
Everyone
did
a
great
job
and
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you.
That
was
a
wonderful
event
and
let's
keep
it
going
every
year.
Last
but
not
least,
I
want
to
just
say
again
to
the
staff,
for
this
magazine.
A
I
think
this
Top
of
the
Bay
magazine
that
just
came
out
every
citizen
in
the
in
the
city
of
bulls
markets.
This
magazine
it
is
full
of
wonderful
information
about
our
city,
I
love
the
community
standards,
article
about
keeping
your
house
organized
and
making
sure
there's
no
trash,
so
we
don't
have
to
get
code
enforcement
involved.
I
think
this
is
a
wonderful
magazine
to
help
our
residents
educate
them
and
understand
why
this
city
council
believes
in
this
city
and
where
we're
headed
for
the
future.
A
So
thank
you
to
City
staff
again
for
this
wonderful
magazine
and
again
Steve.
Thank
you
for
the
cupcake
for
your
birthday,
I
love,
this
new
tradition
of
getting
cupcakes
I
can't
wait
to
eat
it.
I'm
so
excited
all
right.
Next
item
on
your
agenda
is
approve
the
tentative
agenda
for
the
June
20th
2023
council
meeting.
Does
anyone
wish
to
pull
or
add
anything
to
the
agenda?
