B
A
C
Okay,
as
I
mentioned,
jeremy
langley
from
the
league
of
cities
is
not
here
today,
but
I'll,
just
kind
of
go
over
the
plan,
ins
and
outs
and
the
ending
position.
We
began
the
quarter
on
july
1st,
with
about
7.1
million
dollars
in
the
fund.
We
had
contributions
of
123
thousand
dollars
during
the
quarter,
earnings
about
411
000
we
paid
out
about
14
one
disability,
retirement
and
one
dependent
retirement
independent
pension.
C
These
plant
expenses
were
about
seventy
eight
hundred
dollars
for
the
quarter
and
we
ended
on
september
thirtieth
up
at
seven
point
six:
six,
five,
eight
six,
nine,
so
seven
point
six
million
dollars
their
ending
balance.
On
I
sent
out
yesterday
I
sent
out
the
october
31st
statements.
C
The
balance
was
had
taken
a
little
bit
of
a
hit.
We
were
down
to
seven
seven
million
five
hundred
ninety
one
thousand
dollars
985
and
we
don't
have
the
november
30th
numbers.
Yet.
Overall,
we
had
a
good
year.
Despite
being
2020,
we
had
the
year-end
performance
was
about
6.6
earnings
last
year
is
5.4
just
to
kind
of
put
in
perspective.
C
Our
assumed
interest
rate
for
the
actuarial
evaluation
is
7,
so
we
were
pretty
closely
making
that
number
in
merch
we
took
a,
we
did
take
a
hit,
but,
however,
we
outperformed
the
plan
out
performed
in
the
last
two
quarters
of
the
year.
So
overall
we
ended
up
about.
You
know
the
earnings
about
six
point
six
percent
and
we
were
in
a
good
position
for
the
end
of
the
fiscal
year
november.
We
don't
have
the
november
numbers
yet,
but
it
was
a
good
month
in
the
market.
C
B
C
A
You
next
item
is
the
administrative
budget
report
the
fiscal
year
in
9
30.
C
C
C
D
Hey
this
is
pedro
I
actually
have
I
can.
I
can
update
you
on
the
on
the
invoices.
I
spoke
to
the
bookkeeper
and
everything
about
it.
So,
if
you
guys
want,
I
could
discuss
it
now
or
we
can
discuss
it
later
or.
However,
you
guys
want
to
handle.
D
B
D
From
from
january
of
19,
through
december
1st
of
this
year,
there
were
it's
466
dollars
and
41
cents
and
those
were
those
were
just
travel
expenses
that
we
split
up
amongst
amongst
our
clients.
So
it
was
for
the
airfare,
the
hotel
and
the
car
rental,
and
we
divided
it
between.
I
think
it
was
in
one
instance.
It
was
two
clients
and
in
the
other
instance
it
was
five
clients.
D
Okay,
if
I'm
reading
that
correctly,
I'm
the
invoice-
and
I
can
send
you
this
again-
that
my
my
my
office
sent
it
to
me
yesterday
in
the
afternoon-
and
I
told
him
that
I'll
go
over
with
you
guys
today.
So
I
can
send
you
this.
So
our
travel
time
is
is
included.
In
other
words,
we
don't
you
know
it
comes
out
on
your
invoice,
but
if
you
also
look
at
the
invoice,
it
says
no
charge.
So
you
know
we
just
it's
more
internal.
D
We
account
for
the
time
internally,
but
you're
not
being
charged
or
anything
like
that.
That's
all
included
as
part
of
the
retainer.
The
only
thing
that
we
do
charge
is
just
is
just
actual
expenses.
You
know
for
airfare
or
for
a
hotel
or
a
car
rental,
and
what
we
do
is
you
know,
as
we've
always
done,
we
just
try
and
essentially
divide
it
amongst
the
clients
that
we're
meeting
with.
B
D
So
so,
like
I
said
for
for
for
the
past,
I
guess
for
the
past
year.
So
since
january
of
19,
through
december
1st
of
2020,
it's
466
dollars,
total.
C
D
D
A
C
We
weren't
really
expecting
a
supplementary
distribution
to
come
in.
However,
it
was
a
very
nice
surprise
that
we
received
it.
We
received
954.29
from
the
state
of
florida
insurance
premium
tax
pool.
This
was
applied
directly
to
the
fund,
so
this
is
just
presented
as
the
courtesies.
Just
so
you
can
see
the
money
coming
into
the
fund
again
wasn't
expected.
We
didn't
really
expect
to
receive
this,
but
we
were
happy.
We
did.
D
Yeah
it's
actually
this
year.
Well,
I
guess
the
past,
maybe
two
years
at
this
point
there
has
not
been
a
supplemental
so
this
year
I
think
I
I
you
know,
I'm
pretty
certain.
Actually
everybody
had
the
same
reaction.
Nobody
was
expecting
a
supplemental,
but
at
least
there
was
a
little
bit
of
something.
C
C
So
I'm
asking
the
board
to
please
review
this
and
then
let
us
know
if
you
would
like
to
make
any
changes
to
it
and
we
can
discuss
it.
I
think
we
can,
if
you're
not
prepared
to
talk
about
today,
we
can
table
it
for
the
next
meeting.
I
just
want
to
make
sure
it
got
on
an
agenda,
so
it
could
be
addressed.
D
A
A
I've
checked
the
dates
already
that
are
already
chosen
there.
They
are
not
on
kenny's
shift
so.
C
We
are
working
on
an
av
system
upgrade
so
we
hope
soon
we'll
be
able
to
do
zoom
integration.
So
once
we
get
that
upgraded
we're
working
on
it
right
now,
it'll
work
a
lot
better.
A
Any
discussion
all
in
favor
hi,
let
me
pose
yeah.
There
were
some
emails
floating
around.
He
put
his
resignation
yesterday.
He
served
on
the
board
for
quite
a
long
time
and
that's
appreciated
now.
I
just
have
to
move
forward
with
because
he
was
the
board
appointed
member
city
appoints
two
firefighters
0.2
and
he
was
the
board.
E
D
I
I
I'm
happy
to
I
just
I
was
having
a
little
bit
of
a
difficulty
hearing
the
first
part
about
for
me
to
weigh
it
up.
A
A
D
A
D
Okay,
so
the
fifth
seat,
just
by
statute
and-
and
obviously
you
know,
your
local
lord-
has
mirrors
that
it's
really
anybody
willing
and
able
there
is
no
residency
requirement.
There's
no
requirement
that
that
you
know
he
or
she
be
a
member
of
the
plan.
It's
really
excuse
me.
Anybody
who's,
willing
and
able
to
serve
generally
speaking,
the
way
it's
handled,
and
I
don't
recall
how
this
happened.
D
First,
you
know
to
get
carmine,
but
you
know
if
anybody
has
any
usually
the
way
I'll
work
is
is
kind
of
word
of
mouth.
Somebody
will
mention
it.
You
know
a
trustee
or
somebody
at
the
city
will
mention
it
to
somebody
else
who
they
think
might
work
well
and
then
that
person
would
essentially
just
write
to
the
board
or
just
advising
that
they'd
be
interested,
and
you
know
we'd
ask
them,
maybe
submit
a
resume
or
a
cover
letter
or
something
like
that.
Otherwise
you
know.
D
Obviously
I
don't
know
if
the
city
has
anywhere
where
it
posts
or
advertises
for
these
kinds
of
positions
on
you
know,
committee
boards,
that's
a
possibility
as
well
certainly
to
to
open
up
the
candidacy
to
potential
suitors,
but
essentially
I
think
that
that
would
be
the
process.
You
know
we
maybe
advertise
it
speak
to
a
couple
of
folks
who
might
be
interested
have
them
submit.
D
You
know
just
a
short
email
cover
letter
with
a
resume,
maybe
or
a
brief
bio,
just
kind
of
a
little
bit
about
themselves
and
why
they're?
You
know
why
they
want
to
serve
on
the
board
and
then
invite
them
to
attend
the
next
meeting
where
the
board
could
you
know
if
we
have
multiple
people,
it's
basically
kind
of
an
interview
process.
You
know
each
person
would
present
themselves
to
the
board
and
answer
any
questions
that
the
board
might
have
and
then
the
board
would
would
take.
D
You
know,
take
formal
action
right,
so
they
would
have
a
motion
to
to
appoint
so-and-so
as
the
fifth
trustee
and
then
they
would
have
a
vote,
and
that
would
be
it.
E
E
D
So
so,
actually
the
the
the
it
should
go
to
the
city
council
for
final
approval,
but
it's
more
of
a
ministerial
function.
In
other
words,
you
know
the
statute
requires
that
it
be
sent
to
the
to
the
council
for
approval.
But
again
it's
merely
a
ministerial
function.
It's
not
as
though
you
know
the
the
municipality,
the
the
council
can't
reject
it,
but
but
it
should
be,
it
should
be
sent
over
and
they
should
they
should.
The
council
should
just
accept
it
or
or
acknowledge
it.
D
However,
however,
whatever
action
you
know
they
want
to
take
on
it,
but
but
the
statute
does
require
that
it
be
that
it
be
submitted
to
the
council,
and-
and
you
know
that
that
the
governing
body
as
a
ministerial
duty
against
appoint
such
person
formally.
D
You
know
so
so,
presumably
the
so
kind
of
what
I
mentioned
so
at
the
meeting
the
board
would
decide
on
someone
and
then
that
person's
name
would
get
submitted
to
the
council.
You
know
ideally
at
the
next
possible
meeting
and
then
the
the
council
can
just
you
know
again:
it's
a
formality,
but
just
to
comply
with
the
statute
and
your
ordinance.
That's
that's
what
should
be
done.
D
Okay,
so,
first
of
all
happy
belated
thanksgiving,
hopefully
everybody's
everybody's
doing
well,
and
you
enjoyed
your
your
turkey
day,
although,
admittedly
probably
not
as
not
as
big
of
a
celebration
as
has
been
in
the
past,
but
you
know-
hopefully
everybody
everybody
had
a
nice
time.
D
So
just
a
couple
things
to
go
over
with
you
and
obviously
you
know
stop
me
if,
if
there's
anything
or
questions
you
guys
might
have,
but
I
did
want
to
go
over
a
couple
of
things
first,
this
this
is
obviously
the
the
time
of
the
year
where
you'll
you'll
usually
see
me
walking
in
with
a
big
duffel
bag
and
we'll
hand
out
our
holiday
gifts,
and
I
also
take
this
opportunity
to
to
give
the
board
my
my
annual
primer
on
on
ethics
duties.
So
bear
with
me.
D
I
know
everybody's
everybody's
varsity
at
this
point,
but
I
just
want
to
get
it
on.
Have
you
guys,
listen
to
it
and
apologize
for
the
for
the
redundancy,
but
by
by
virtue
of
your
service
on
this
board?
As
you
guys
know,
you
are
technically
considered
a
public
official
and
therefore
subject
to
state
ethics
laws.
So
in
in
in
the
interest
of
utmost
caution,
I
just
wanted
to
kind
of
go
over
them
briefly
with
you
guys
and
just
fill
in
the
holes
and
refresh
your
memory.
D
If
you're,
given
something
of
value,
25
or
less,
you
can
accept
that
and
there
is
no
reporting
requirement
on
either
side
of
the
of
the
quote-unquote
transaction
right.
If
you're,
given
something
that
is
valued
between
25
and
100,
you
can
accept
that
and
there
is
no
reporting
requirement
on
your
end.
D
However,
there
is
a
reporting
requirement
on
the
gift
giver,
so
the
person
company
entity
who
gives
you
the
gift,
should
forum
with
the
state
ethics
commission
advising
you
know
I
gave
trustee
so
and
so
this
gift
it
was
valued
at
twenty
six
dollars
and
five
cents
and
the
date
right.
If
you
were
given
something
that
is
valued
over
a
hundred
dollars,
we
would
recommend
that
you
reject
that
or
return
that
or
donate
that
gift
and
that
you
file
a
form
with
the
ethics
commission.
D
Advising
you
know
the
the
nature
of
the
gift
who
gave
you
the
gift,
the
cost
of
the
gift
and,
ultimately
the
the
disposition
of
the
gifts
right.
What
you
did
with
the
gift
you
donated
it
to
the
city
or
to
a
local
charity
or
excuse
me
or
you,
you
know,
return
to
defender
whatever
that
may
be.
D
Does
anybody
have
any
questions
on
on
kind
of
a
framework
for
the
for
the
gift
requirements
or
the
okay
good?
I
will
also
use
this
as
a
as
an
opportunity
to
kind
of
dovetail
into
the
earlier
comment
where,
usually,
this
is
the
time
where
I
would
hand
out
a
holiday
gift
which
are
less
than
25
and
while
unfortunately,
this
year,
I
know
you're
certainly
disappointed
that
you
don't
have
our
our
annual
holiday
gift
either
some
sort
of
hurricane
preparing
this
gift.
D
D
But,
and
even
more
so,
we
weren't
sure
how
you
know
how
receptive
clients
would
be
to
actually
receiving
things
from.
You
know:
quote-unquote
strangers,
to
borrow
my
kids
terminology.
This
was
a
couple
months
ago.
Obviously,
when
you
we
knew
less
about
what's
going
on
that
we
do
now.
D
So
what
we're
doing
is
we
are
making
a
donation
to
a
local
food
bank
in
your
name
in
the
oldsmar
firefighters
pension
plan
name,
so
obviously,
while
disappointing
you
know,
I
think
I
think
we
can
all
agree.
You
know
there's
a
lot
of
people
that
are
hurting
and
I
think
it's
it's
it's
a
good
use
of
the
money.
It's
a
better
use
of
the
money
this
year
than
maybe
a
solar
powered,
a
radio
or
a
flashlight
or
a
battery-operated
radio,
or
something
like
that.
D
And
and
really
the
only
other
thing
I
wanted
to
go
to
to
just
address
with
the
board,
was
you
know?
Obviously
there's
things
are
changing
as
as
we
speak,
but
you
know
everything
seems
to
be
working
well,
everything
seems
to
be
going
forward
and
moving
forward,
so
we'll
keep
you
posted,
but
as
of
now,
we
do
not
expect
the
governor's
office
to
to
wish
you
any
other
kind
of
extension
or
executive
order
allowing
for
boards
to
meet
virtually,
but
you
know
obviously,
certainly
we'll
keep
you
posted
if
that
changes.
D
I
will
say,
however,
that
if,
if
there
are
trustees
that
potentially
are
concerned
with
attending
being
based
on
attorney
general's
guidance,
there
are,
and
many
of
our
clients
are
actually
having
these
kind
of
hybrid
meetings
where
trustees
will
attend
virtually
and
based
on
the
extenuating
circumstances
of
you
know.
Obviously,
the
global
pandemic,
those
those
members
are
still
eligible
to
vote.
So
you
know
again
if
there
are
any
trustees
or
if
that's
something
that
the
board
is
interested
in.
D
I
just
want
to
remind
you
that
that
is
a
possibility,
and
that
can
be
something
that
that
we
could
that
we
can
accommodate.
You
know
the
board
can
accommodate
that.
So
just
keep
that
in
mind
as
we
go
forward.
If
anything
comes
up
that
that's
something
that
can
be
done
and
really
that's
it.
That's
all.
I
have
for
my
report.
