That was going to occur sometime in july,, and I think the commission had asked that.

Came in. 17:42:34, we said our tenth passenger record since june of 2,021 beat the previous record set in 2,019 by 20.

17:42:44 2 point, 3% answer passed may of last year by 33.6%.

17:42:47, so we're definitely looking up southwest got some good news from out of our meetings.

17:42:53 this week, sacramento is set to return to double daily in november.

K

17:42:56, if you guys recall from last meeting they're drawing it down to one daily throughout.

K

The summer, due to pilot shortage issues vegas, is still still scheduled to go back to to.

K

Go not back, to but 2 17:43:05 big increase to double daily starting.

K

Next month in july, so that's great swoop on the other hand, and I'm having to suspend.

Edmonton for the summer, due to high storage on there and as well,, it's.

K

17:43:16 set to return in october and when I said that that business meeting I just got.

Back from the conference was jumpstart 2,022. 17:43:24, it's an air service development conference.

K

Where we literally sit down and kind of do speed dates with airlines.

K

17:43:29, so we turned that with visit greater palm springs, we met with 12 airlines., none.

K

Of them were existing carriers, 3 potential airlines.

K

17:43:35. We received positive updates on reperformance from all of our existing airlines that we.

K

Met with so great news out of that, and some of the not the potential airlines.

K

17:43:45, I think we're very positive meetings as well. Nothing scheduled nothing,, you know.

K

New now is coming out of that right, now. 17:43:52, but all good news reports on the.

K

On the front for that. 17:43:57, so schedule departing seats, or turn back to that, based on the request from last month.

K

17:44:01. This is the department seats also,, you know, and c flies, and it flies out.

K

17:44:05, so this basically be the same for arriving seats as well.

K

17:44:08 july, scheduled to be up 8.2% compared to july of 20..

K

17:44:12 one. august is right now scheduled to be 13.5% of compared to august of last.

Year, september over 20%. 17:44:19 in october 5.6% compare talk to her.

Last year. 17:44:22, so I think we're definitely set up for a great summer and great rest of the year.. The way we're scheduling the way our passenger.

Numbers are going, and the seats we have scheduled in flights. I kind of would.

17:44:32 almost want to bet, we may have that 2,022 may end up being a new record ear for.

News: yesterday. 17:44:42: we guess you didn't press release about the concessions. rfp:. So now we did press release all of our local media outlets.

17:44:49, a lot of local businesses are on our distribution list as well, and outlets.

In the la area. and nationally,, if we're all, it was sent to.

17:44:55 we also covered on social media.. We allow great coverage by kesq, nbc.

17:44:59 palm springs,, the desert, sun, coachell value,, independent cd.

17:45:03 weekly, and some other outlets covered the news, so we've got,, I know,. I talked to.

Can over procurement. 17:45:08 she got a lot of inquiries from local businesses, asking,, you know,! How do they bid?

17:45:11, how they get involved out there.? So we have a lot of great local interests.

K

17:45:15, so I think that's really exciting news for us also sent to all of our area chambers.

Of commerce. 17:45:21, they dispersed it through their outlets, and I know. ps. 17:45:22. I believe ps. mainstream association sent that out as well. 17:45:26. So I think I know there's other probably.

Some I missing off my list. 17:45:30, but we got a lot of a lot of good coverage. 17:45:32. Everybody seems to be really excited about that so and let's see moving on the advertising, rfp.

17:45:38 so push media., so 9 am., I believe it was.. So we issue an advertising rfp: and.

I told you guys some. 17:45:45, he tells about this.. In previous meetings. We had a winning proposal selected as push media out of sacramento.

17:45:49 5 companies submitted proposals. Push me is based in sacramento.

K

17:45:53, they have great experience in all areas that were in needing all the recommendations.

K

Had glowing recommendations, and they've done: previous.

K

17:45:59 airport work.. Some of the previous work includes a sacrament, international business.

17:46:03 sacramento chad maze, for I think it was. say assembly, or actually yeah received.

K

17:46:10, I forget exactly who I use a politician., sorry 17:46:14 and then california, association of realtors, just a few who they've worked with.

17:46:18, what push me you'll be doing for us we'll be doing all of our media buying.

K

So media buying is, you know,, buying billboards, radio television, things like that.

17:46:24 they'll be doing all the creative graphic design work for us, so they have all.

K

That copywriting. 17:46:30 so,, hoping this right press release it, or, like writing the copy for, like, you know,, radio, commercials and and advertisements.

Things like that sponsorship, betting. 17:46:37. We actually get quite a few requests.

K

To sponsor of this event or that advantage. 17:46:40, and so when we get together and get.

K

Our game, planar strategy, together, they'll, also spot the can fit any sponsorship opportunities.

K

And see how they may fit with our strategy for advertising same with also also, you know.

K

17:46:51 participating in local events. they'll do all the day to day management of the campaign.

Into and making modifications for what we need to get, you know, be able to reach a.

K

Better audience. 17:47:03 again. also,, I mentioned the launching..

A campaigns will be optimizing. It,, like our google search as cm.

17:47:07 things like that to really make sure that our dollars for being spent wisely, and.

K

Then any other ad services as needed for our campaigns.

17:47:15. They have a great understanding of our market.. They have, you know, our competitive.

Positions in the region, and how we play against other airports.

K

17:47:20 they have airport, marketing survey., they have good understanding of airport, marketing,.

K

And air service- development.- 17:47:26: I was really impressed with just.

K

A level of knowledge of the coachella valley and the differences in each of the 9 cities,.

K

And also the understanding of the high desert and illness empire.

K

17:47:35 and how you know we kind of have a. we have a competitive, we do compete with.

K

Ontario and lax. 17:47:41, so they have. I have really have faith.

K

That they're gonna be a really good partner for us going forward of course, next ups is.

K

Tonight, with the commission agenda for approval. 17:47:51, for you guys again., if you guys say.

Yes, it'll be on tomorrow night's city council agenda for approval and work is set to start.

In july, with the beginning of our new fiscal year, contract term will be 3 years of 2.

K

17:48:02 one year options to extend, it is noted in there, though, that we may terminate.

At any time, without cause. 17:48:08 for 30 days with for 30 days, written.

Notice., so if they're just simply not performing or meeting our expectations., we are able to.

K

Cancel the contract, if need be. 17:48:16 total budget for 3 years, is not to.

K

Exceed 1.5 million dollars that breaks down to $500,000 per year;, that 575,000 will go.

K

To agency services so they're doing the graphic design, 17:48:26 work,, the media, buying kind of basically, the labor portion of this.

K

17:48:30, if you want to look at it, that way, and the other 425,000 is what will be dedicated.

To just buying the advertising. 17:48:34 so 425, not to exceed 425.

17:48:39 that will go to,. You know, buying billboards tv, radio,, you.

K

17:48:42, you know digital things like that., that you know bount of that portion may bury.

Each year, depending on what our budget is. 17:48:49 so we'll go through each budget season.

For the airport, and we may make a job,, but it's currently said not to exceed 425,000.

17:48:57, if we choose to increase that amount in the future,, we can do that. Procurement,.

So we can do an amendment to the contract, and that wouldn't be an issue if we choose to maybe spend more in advertising going down the 17:49:04 road and that's all I have any questions from anybody yeah, I have a question. yes.

Services for them worked, doing the buying the graphic assign all that good stuff.

4 o 5 is surpass balance of 2.7 million. 17:52:33. The customer facility charge is primarily.

Our customer charges for the carpental facilities. 17:52:40 fun for 10 is our passenger facility.

Charge, and we have a surplus of 3.9 million fund 4, 15 is our airport operation and maintenance.

Pun. 17:52:54, we have a surprising surplus of 10.1.

Million,, which is amazing compared to prior fiscal year, and even fiscal year, 19.

17:53:05, this is just our breakdown of the revenues that we received for this month,.

And,, like I think I kind of called this out last month,, but I'll call it out again. This.

Month. 17:53:19 be on airport rental. Car has a total.

L

Revenue for the year ending may thirty-first of 10 million dollars.

L

17:53:28, so we're doing really well with keeping our revenues from the run on airport rental.

L

Car, and then next in line is the least parkey. 17:53:38. So that's our public parking at 4.6.

L

Million 17:53:46 they screen shows are expenditures,.

L

And we had about 19 million in expenditures. 17:53:50, but still our revenues exceeded our.

L

Expenditures. 17:53:55, so we still came out with the surplus,.

L

And then the last fund is our fund for 16. 17:54:01, the airport capital projects. There's.

L

A deficit of 4, point 1, million, and then last is our cache. Summary.

17:54:10, I'm gonna blow this up a little bit, so you could see it better.

17:54:13 and our fun 4 or 5,, which is a restricted fund for our customer facility charges in.

Our future consolidated rental car facility. 17:54:22. We have a 28 million dollar cash.

Balance. 17:54:27, then in 5, 4, 10, we have a 2 point,.

8 million cache balance and fun 4, 15. 17:54:32. We have a 20 million dollar cache.

Balance, and then fun 4,, 16. 17:54:38. We have a 6.1 cache balance and then.

This last side just shows our remaining grant for this year.

17:54:47 and as we have done in the past,, we have 5 million that we used in the cares.

17:54:53 grant, and we have a remaining 5.9 million in cares, along with the other grants.

That we have in expended. 17:55:00, yet just to give you an update on.

Those grants. 17:55:03, we are working with the consultant to help us extend our chrisa and our arpa funds for the concession errors.

17:55:14 we are going to provide some relief to our concession errors for the time that.

We went through covid. 17:55:21, they are requesting for that. Assistance.

And we have agreed that that's something that we are going to do with them.

17:56:07, I did have companies reaching out and inquiring about it, and I directed them.

To planet bids., so 17:56:16 we do have a lot of interest in this.

Concessions program, and just want to let everybody know to at least pass the word out.

Locals any companies that you may be in contact with that.

17:56:33 we're gonna have a pre proposal conference on july, the eighteenth, and that's gonna kind.

Of do a walkthrough of the facilities so that they could see where our concessions, locations.

Are and 17:56:45 that's kind of give them an idea.

Request for all proposals, due on september 20, s.

17:57:23 so in between those 100 days, like I said, we'll have that prep.

17:57:28 proposal conference on july, the eighteenth and then we're gonna have request for clarifications.

From the proposers. 17:57:36, those are going to be due in august.

And then we'll provide our responses for the request for clarification. as well in august,.

And then the proposals can close on september 20 s we'll actually be doing.

17:57:49 some interviews with the highest. proposers. So if we have a bunch of we have.

A bunch of proposers, and then we will choose the top highest, and then we'll decide to.

Do an interview with them to allow them to do 17:58:03 a presentation to us.. That's gonna be the week of october seventeenth.

17:58:09 we're gonna do our recommendation and selection and october will bring it to.

The commission in november, and then we will award in december. so we're going to try to.

They went through a process as they renovated and transformed laguardia.

17:59:07, but somewhere in that transition, some of the pricing charge to consumers.

17:59:16 was off the charts., I mean things that you know are exploitative., you don't.

Sure that these partners can make a nice profit, and the airport can make a nice profit from.

These concessions. 17:59:56, how do we ensure in this process?.

That we don't come out the other end with pricing?

In there, specifically, that concessionnaires at the airport will offer value pricing to.

Customers, and that they products sold by the concession. error shall be equal in price,.

To those 18:00:37 products sold and comparable off airport locations,, excluding special promotional items, within.

18:00:43, the greater coachella valley plus a 15%., so there is a cap that they could.

L

18:00:49 we we're comparing it to what's within the coachella valley for pricing, and then.

L

They're able to do a 15% cap on top of that 18:01:00, commissioner faultman is up satisfactory.
