Description
Regular City Council Meeting Part 2 11-04-2020
A
B
C
C
A
B
A
D
D
Yes,
so
we
apologize
to
those
who
have
been
sitting
with
us
all
day
and
haven't
gotten
to
their
agenda
item
yet,
but
this
was
a
very
time
sensitive
meeting
we
had
to
hold
because
of
a
court
reporter's
schedule
that
was
already
on
the
calendar.
D
So
what
we'll
do
at
this
point
is
we
will
reopen
the
public
session
of
the
shade
meeting
and
we
will
have
a
brief
discussion
and
and
I'll
entertain
a
motion,
any
comments.
Anyone.
C
D
A
D
You
okay.
The
next
item
on
the
agenda
is
the
proposed
signage
on
the
mural
wall
at
veterans.
D
H
City
staffer
received
a
proposal
from
journal
carr
and
the
group
that
funded
the
vietnam
memorial
while
southwest
florida,
and
it
was
for
signage
on
the
park
at
the
park
above
the
to
be
installed
above
the
mural
wall
city
staff,
received
that
request
right
about
the
time
that
the
mural
society
realized
that
they
needed
to
make
new
arrangements
with
a
different
artist.
H
So
the
conceptual
that
you
see
before
you
was
produced
by
staff
based
on
the
the
the
propos
or
the
accepted
mural
for
the
the
wall
and
veterans
park.
The
proposal
is
individual
letters
to
be
mounted
behind
the
wall
and
floating
visually
above
the
wall.
Those
letters
would
be
approximately
16
inches
in
height,
based
on
this
rendition.
H
The
sign
is,
you
know,
clearly
visible
from
from
close
distance
in
terms
of
moving
away
from
the
sign
seeing
it
from
the
street.
It
starts
to
disappear
because
of
some
of
the
things
that
are
behind
the
wall,
the
background
and
then,
as
you
move
further
away,
you
know
even
the
mural
wall
itself.
This
photo
was
taken
from
about
600
feet
away
from
the
mural
wall
and
even
the
mural
wall
it's
indistinguishable
as
to
what's
on
there
and
the
sign
is
largely
invisible.
H
H
For
the
phase
two
area
of
veterans
park,
we
had
designed
into
the
park
very
two
fairly
discrete
columns,
they're
approximately
four
feet
in
height
that
the
intent
was
to
put
bronze
plaques
on
those
walls,
denoting
that
it
was
a
city
park
and
giving
a
brief
history
about
the
about
the
origination
of
the
park
and
the
major
improvements
that
have
occurred
primarily
focused
on
those
things,
since
the
installation
of
the
freedom,
fountain
and,
of
course,
the
the
vietnam
wall.
H
H
D
Okay,
that's
all
okay,
okay,
so
the
the
discussion
item
today
is
whether
we
like
this
design,
whether
we
would
like
to
see
other
designs,
whether
we'd
like
to
approve
this
and
allow
them
to
move
forward,
or
we
want
to
have
other
renderings
done
or
whatever
other
options
exist.
So
any
comments
from
anyone.
F
I
believe
it
is
so
that
the
we
can
identify
the
park
for
the
upcoming
event,
possibly,
and
so
I
I
respect
that,
and
I
really
respect
general
carr's
designs
and
the
team's
design
and
and
wanting
to
have
some
really
classy
looking
design.
The
the
concern
that
I
have
is
that
we've
spent
a
lot
of
money
on
branding
our
city.
A
F
So
and
we're
spending
a
lot
of
effort
on
the
new
logo
and
that
kind
of
thing,
and
so
I
would,
with
all
due
respect,
want
to
see
us
consider
some
kind
of
signage
there
that
not
only
denotes
that
it's
the
the
veterans
park,
but
we're
spending
a
lot
of
time
in
our
way
finding
signage,
identifying,
not
veterans
park,
but
the
vietnam
wall.
F
So
I
want
to
make
sure
that
the
signage
not
only
denotes
that,
but
it
the
veterans
park,
but
that
vietnam
wall
is
there,
so
that
those
people
who
are
specifically
looking
for
the
wall
can
find
it
and
that
it
it
really
is
in
keeping
with
the
branding
that
we're
using
on
all
of
our
park
system.
Somehow,
so
that's
and
I
don't
believe
that
that
the
signage
that
has
been
shown
is
we
don't
have
anything
like
that
in
any
of
our
other
parks.
F
So
it's
not
the
me
it's
not
to
say
that
we
can't
do
something
innovative
someplace.
F
It's
just
feel
like
with
all
of
our
efforts
that
we
need
to
do
something,
that's
in
keeping
with
it
and
yet,
if
we
need
to
do
something
to
identify
the
park
for
the
upcoming
event,
then
we
can
put
something
really
nice,
that's
temporary.
That
would
help
identify
the
park
and
maybe.
F
A
ban
could
put
a
banner
or
it
could
be
assigned
some
whatever
yeah,
something
that
would
help
achieve
that
goal.
Yeah.
I
Well,
the
question
would
be
I
mean,
even
if
we
were
to
approve
this,
could
it
even
be
up
by
veterans
day
this
year
I
mean,
could
I
mean
I
mean
it
seemed
I
don't
I
mean
when
we
were
talking
before
with
staff
it
seemed
like
it
would
be
unlikely
to
be
able
to
do
that.
That's
why
maybe
at
the
time
would
be
useful.
D
Yeah
I
mean
first
of
all,
this
this
sign
proposed
sign,
does
not
meet
code.
This
is
what
they
call
roof
lettering
and
we
don't
allow
roof
lettering
by
code.
So
that's
a
problem
in
itself.
D
Second
of
all,
I
believe
this
park
needs
to
be
classy
and
elegant
and
reflect
the
reverence
and
and
and
have
it
be
understated,
but
have
have
it
be
reflective
of
what
it
really
means
to
everyone
who
lost
their
life
in
the
vietnam
war,
especially-
and
I
don't
think
this
does-
that
I,
the
mural,
is
going
to
be
a
beautiful
mural
and
it's
a
standalone
attraction
in
the
park,
and
I
think
putting
these
letters
on
top
of
it
makes
it
look
like
a
billboard,
and
I
don't
like
the
way
it
looks.
D
It's
just
my
personal
feeling
about
it.
I'd
like
to
see
us
go
back
and
have
some
renderings
done
to
incorporating
the
columns
that
we've
already
put
into
the
park
that
we
had
intended
to
use
for
signage
and
even
if
it
means
using
those
pillars
for
a
temporary
banner
for
the
november
event.
That
might
be
a
solution,
but
I'm
also
concerned
with
a
couple
of
other
things
with
these.
D
If,
if
they
have
to
put
a
lot
of
hardware
up
there
to
hold
the
letters
in
place,
I
think
it
could
cause
cracks
in
the
in
the
wall
itself.
So
I
think,
there's
a
lot
of
issues
that
that
come
up
in
my
mind,
that
that
makes
me
think
that
this
isn't
the
best
choice
of
signage
for
this
park.
I
think
I'd
like
to
see
something
a
little
bit
more
elegant
and
and
something
that
really
reflects
the
veterans
that
we
we
really
are
trying
to
honor
in
the
park.
E
So
you're,
I
think,
asking
what
the
original
concept
looked
like,
because.
D
No,
it's
a
beautiful
mural
and
it's
a
standalone
attraction
in
the
in
the
park
like
we
have
other
things
in
the
park
that
do
that
and
we
spent
a
lot
of
money
on
this
park.
It
is
a
city
park
and
I
agree
with
nancy
too.
We
need
all
of
our
signage
around
the
city.
Has
our
logo
incorporated
into
it,
and
we
should
have
something
similar
to
that
that
incorporates
the
logo
in
some
way.
H
So,
within
the
original
design
of
the
park,
just
to
orient
you
to
the
plan
a
little
bit,
this
is
the
the
vietnam
memorial
wall.
This
is
the
gazebo,
the
pond.
Of
course,
the
plaza
there
are
two
sign
columns
again:
they're
they're
four
foot
tall
four
and
a
half
foot
tall
and
approximately
two
foot
square
one
is
located
immediately
adjacent
to
nesbitt
street.
The
other
is
immediately
adjacent
to
the
parking
on
the
red
esplanade
extension.
H
H
The
image
that
you
see
here
on
the
screen
is
the
column
with
two
bronze
plaques.
The
upper
plaque
would
say:
veterans
park,
city
logo
with
the
puna
gorda
name
and
then
a
year
of
dedication.
H
One
of
the
reasons
that
we
haven't
brought
this
back
to
city
councils,
that
year
of
debt,
rededication
of
the
park,
needs
to
be
when
we
get
the
memorial
pavers
installed
into
the
park
right,
so
that
the
park
is
again
as
complete
as
it
was.
You
know
in
terms
of
that
memorializing,
so
we
don't
know
when
that's
going
to
occur,
so
we
haven't
haven't
come
back
with
that.
A
C
D
F
D
E
E
E
A
D
Okay,
all
right
so
do
you
do
you
want
us
to
we.
G
Were
there
yesterday
just
to
check
out?
I
did
wear
my
mask
because,
and
I
think
this
I
like
this
idea-
I
had
concerns
about
the
over
the
neural
sign.
Both
aesthetically
as
well
as
just
functionally.
It
certainly
is
more,
would
have
issues
going
forward
with
weather
and
repairs
and
keeping
it
clean,
and
it
certainly
is
outside
of
our
city
codes.
So
what
I'm
seeing
right
here
makes
a
lot
more
sense
to
me.
D
Okay,
okay,
so
the
consensus
is,
we
do
not
want
to
approve
the
lettering
all
right,
so
I
I
guess
we
really
don't
necessarily
need
another
rendering
because
we
basically
have
what
what
we're
looking
for.
So,
if
we
can
maybe
move
forward
on
that
and
some
point
in
the
future,
that
would
be
the
best
choice.
D
F
D
H
A
E
J
This
morning,
our
our
emergency
manager,
slash
fire
chief
alerted
me
to
the
fact
that
yesterday,
the
governor
issued
a
new
executive
order,
20-276
which
extends
the
pre-existing
emergency
declared
in
response
to
covet
19.,
and
what
it
does
is
extends
that
the
original
declaration,
as
subsequently
extended
for
another
60
days,
which
would
take
it
to
well
60
days
from
yesterday
and
I'll
just
simply
write.
Read
that
there's
a
couple
couple,
whereas
clauses
here
that
are
pertinent,
says.
J
Whereas
the
impact
of
cobit
19
poses
a
continuing
threat
to
the
health,
safety
and
welfare
of
the
state
of
florida
and
its
residents
and
whereas,
as
florida,
recovers
and
relaunches
its
economy,
I'm
committed
to
providing
all
available
resources
to
assist
floridians
and
local
communities
with
their
efforts.
J
So,
unfortunately,
it
is
silent
with
respect
to
the
continued
effect
of
the
executive
order,
20-244,
which
included
the
provision
that
suspended
the
collection
of
any
of
any
penalties
associated
with
local
faith,
covering
ordinances
or
or
actions.
J
I
think
that
it
might
be
prudent
to
assume
for
the
sake
of
argument
that
that
that
order
at
least
continues
until
until
beyond
today's
tomorrow's.
That's
me,
the
november
6th
date
and
and
so
before.
You
today
are
three
options
with
respect
to
what
we
can
do
regarding
our
current
situation.
J
J
Let
the
emergency
ordinance
expire
and
adopt
a
resolution
encouraging
the
use
of
facial
coverings
or
let
the
emergency
ordinance
expire
and
take
no
further
action.
I
would
just
simply
say,
as
an
academic
exercise
or
from
a
legal
perspective.
J
I
don't
believe
that
we
need
to
have
the
governor's
declarations
before
we
take
the
issue.
The
take
the
opportunity
that
the
city
council
has,
under
its
home
rule
powers
to
adopt
whatever
measures
we
feel
are
necessary,
particularly
to
protect
the
public
health
and
safety
during
a
pandemic
like
what
we
have
so
I
would
not
be
necessarily
feel
restricted
one
way
or
the
other
as
to
how
you
propose
to
move
forward.
C
J
J
I
would
also
recommend
that,
even
if
you
deny,
even
if
you
decided
not
to
go
that
far,
extending
our
existing
ordinance,
the
way
we
did
last
time
for
additional
period
of
time-
probably
the
the
most
practical
solution,
so
that,
if,
in
fact,
the
governor
takes
some
sort
of
official
action
repealing
20-244,
there
would
not
be
a
need
for
us
to
adopt
a
new
ordinance.
J
J
As
a
separate
action,
because,
basically
what
you
did
was
simply
advise
that
we
would
not
enforce
the
previous
ordinance
if
you
chose
to
move
forward
and
and.
J
To
enforce
as
it's
provided
for
in
the
ordinance,
I
believe
you're
on
legally
defensible
grounds
to
do
that.
Okay,.
J
J
So
you
can
extend
that
by
resolution,
extend
the
the
ordinance
that's
currently
affect
and
then
by
sec,
separate
action,
decide
what,
if
anything,
to
do
about
enforcing
those
provisions,
but
it
is
a
ma.
It
is
a
mandatory
ordinance
which,
at
the
moment,
is
not
being
enforced
by
your
choice.
D
Okay
and
the
other
part
of
that
is
what
period
of
time
do
we
want
to
extend
it
for
because,
rather
than
have
to
go
through
this
every
single
month
and
have
75
emails
have
to
be
read
into
the
record
every
month.
Maybe
we
want
to
talk
about
that.
J
D
E
J
C
My
concern
is,
if
you
look
at
the
united
states
and
you
look
at
what
the
really
hot
spots
are,
those
are
our
feeder
states.
Those
are
the
people
who
come
here
as
snow
birds
and
because
of
the
governor's
actions,
we
can't
ask
them
to
quarantine,
and
I
think
the
mask
is
our
last
line
of
defense
during
season.
D
Well,
I
also
think
that
the
vast
majority
of
the
letters
we
got
in
the
past
week
from
residents
are
99.9
in
favor
of
continuing
mass
coordinates
that
you
know
it's.
I
think
everybody
has
decided
that
it's
what
we
have
to
do
and
if
we've
gotten
a
lot
less
pushback
this
time
around.
But
you
know
it
just
seems
like
a
very
labor-intensive
to
have
to
go
through
this
once
a
month
and
have
to
have
poor
greg.
D
Read
all
these
letters
into
the
record
every
time
right
so
and
I
and
I
do
think
this
is
here
to
stay
for
a
while.
So
I
you
know
I
would
be
in
favor
of
extending
it
through
season
or
whatever
period
of
time.
D
G
Nothing
I
agree
with
moving
it
forward.
I
wasn't
thinking
as
far
as
april,
but
it
makes
sense
I
mean
we
hopefully
will
have
a
vaccine
and
early
in
the
year
who
knows,
but
we
won't
have
it
to
everybody
that
needs
it
for
some
time
after
that,
so
again,
as
as
conditions
change,
we
can
always
shorten
the
time,
and
certainly
I
don't
think
we
want
to
leave
it
on
longer
than
it
needs
to
be
on,
but
april
end
of
april
makes
makes
sense.
J
Yeah,
I
would,
I
would
ask
that
we
first
and
based
on
what
I
understand
the
discussion
to
be.
Let
me
go
ahead
and
read
the
proposed
resolution
by
title
only
okay,
this
is
a
resolution
of
the
city
of
punta
gorda
florida,
extending
the
sunset
date
of
emergency
ordinance
1944-2020,
which
requires
facial
coverings
in
response
to
the
covet
19
public
health,
emergency.
J
Paragraph
roman
numeral
1,
we
can
insert
april
30th
2020,
we
don't
need
to
have
the
language
says
extended
for
an
additional
blank
days
and
then
and.
D
J
And
so
we'll
prepare
a
fresh
resolution
for
your
signature
mayor,
but
I
think
you
could
adopt
it
today
in
in
that
fashion,
and
then
a
separate
issue
would
be
once
you've
extended
the
emergency
ordinance.
How
do
you
want
to
treat
the
enforcement
provision?
That
would
be
a
separate,
separate
vote.
F
A
J
The
cleanest,
the
cleanest
action
would
be
to
adopt
this
resolution.
If
this
is
what
you
prefer
to
do
and
then
determine
whether
or
not
the
ordinance
as
extended
should
be
enforced
in
accordance
with
the
provisions
that
are
in
the
ordinance
or
if
you
wish
to
further
continue
the
suspension
of
the
penalties
associated
with
that
ordinance.
So
that.
J
E
D
Second,
we
have
a
motion
and
a
second
any
further
discussion,
so
we
have
a
motion
in
a
second
to
extend
the
the
mask
mandate
ordinance
to
april
30th
of
2021..
So.
J
The
last
time
we
discussed
the
ramification
of
the
governor's
executive
order,
20-244,
where
he
suspended
the
collection
of
of
any
penalties
associated
with
kovid.
I
kind
of
gave
you
what
my
assessment
was
at
that
time
about
your
abilities
to
enforce
your
code.
Your
ordinance
notwithstanding
that
executive
order
from
a
constitutional
perspective,
florida
constitutional
perspective.
J
I
Jeff,
let's
see
the
other
part
of
this,
why
we
did
what
we
did
also
was
for
balance
for
the
community.
I
mean
we
had
conditions
such
that
people
who
weren't
wearing
felt
pursuit.
I
think
that
we've
achieved
a
nice
balance
where
our
community
feels
protected,
but
also
it
just
doesn't
create
the
environment.
I
think
that
we
would
put
our
I
think,
it'd
be
bad
for
our
community
to
go
further
than
we
have
now.
I
think
it
would
harm
us.
I
think
it'll
be
harmful.
F
F
D
I
think
that
that's
something
that
really
is
important
to
the
equation,
because
I
can
tell
you
being
in
various
places.
I
don't
go
out
a
lot,
but
when
I
do
go
out,
I've
seen
a
lot
of
people
walking
around
without
masks
on
and
the
stores
are
not
enforcing
it,
even
if,
even
if
it's
a
box
store
that
has
a
national
mandate
like
walmart
or
publix
or
any
of
the
others.
So
I
think
we
need
to
do
another
education
blitz
just
to
make
sure
people
are
up
to
speed.
D
J
There's
a
consensus
that
that
appears
to
be
a
consensus
to
take
no
no
action
on
on
the
enforcement.
J
Point
because
it
is
something
that
I
was
suggesting
we
do
do
so
now
that
we
have
extended
our
ordinance
and
beyond
what
his
previous
sunset
date
would
have
been.
I
believe
that
it
would
be
appropriate
now
to
take
a
motion
or
consider
a
motion
as
to
whether
or
not
you
want
to
enforce
the
ordinance
as
it's
written.
D
F
I'll
make
a
motion
that
we
suspend
the
enforcement
on
section
6
and
that
we
conduct
more
education
in
the
community
on
the
use
of
masks.
Second,.
D
D
D
D
D
Okay,
next
order
of
business
city
clerk,
we
have
city
council,
service
boards
and
committees
to
be
decided.
B
Hello
again,
everyone
before
we
talk
about
the
service
boards
and
communities.
I
just
wanted
to
bring
up
one
thing:
we
have
had
a
request
for
a
proclamation,
we've
more
or
less,
not
been
doing
proclamations,
because
we
didn't
want
to
encourage
people
to
be
coming
to
the
meetings.
B
B
Our
policy
has
been
that
if
they
want
a
proclamation,
they
must
come
in
person
to
accept,
and
I
want
to
know
if
you
want
to
encourage
people
to
come
to
the
meetings
for
proclamations.
Sometimes
there
can
be.
You
know
it's
not
always
one
person.
Sometimes
it's
it's
a
group
of
people
who
come
and
I'd
like
to
know
what
your
what
your
direction
is
on
proclamations.
B
B
We
could
do
that
if,
if,
if
council
would
like
to
do
that,.
F
D
Yeah
again,
you
know
every
every
third
or
fourth
seed
is
what
you
have
it
set
up
for
now,
so
if
they,
if
they
continue
to
follow
those
social
distancing,
guidelines
and
masks
are
warned.
Other
residents
are
coming
to
the
meetings
too.
So
I
don't
and
and
they're
only
here
for
a
few
minutes
at
the
beginning
of
a
meeting
typically,
so
I
wouldn't
have
a
problem
with
doing
maybe
not
more
than
one
at
a
meeting
that
way.
We
don't
encourage
a
lot
of
people
coming
in
at
one
time.
F
F
B
I
A
B
First,
serve
first,
one
to
request
it
and
the
the
thing
about
proclamations
is
sometimes
they
wait
to
the
last
minute
because,
and
they
you
know
their
vent
is
within
a
couple
weeks
from
I
don't
know
where
we
are
with
how
many
events
are
taking
place.
We
haven't.
This
is
the
first
time
I've
gotten
a
request
for
a
proclamation
related
to
an
event.
B
So
if
john,
what
do
you
think
first
come
first
serve
would
would
work,
but
that
means
we're
turning
away.
Some
people.
G
I
think
we
could
have
proclamations,
we
might
want
to
say
one
or
two
depending
on
what
it
is
per
meeting
and
then
they'd
have
to
follow
the
normal
guidelines
of
the
number
of
people
that
could
be
in
the
room.
So
you
know
if
they
wanted
to
bring
three
in
and
there
was
only
room
for
two
well.
Maybe
someone
inside
could
walk
out
while
they're
in
here
that
sort
of
thing.
F
No,
no,
I
think
that
you
know
providing
a
first
come
first
serve.
You
know
you,
you
bring
your
entourage
with
you
and
fill
up
the
room
and
then
nobody
else
can
get
in.
A
B
So
that
was
my
point
with
the
when
I,
when
I
said
first
come
first
served.
I
meant
first
person
first
group
to
request
a
proclamation,
for
example,
to
be
put
on
the
agenda
for
november
18th.
They
get
it
and
the
next
person's.
I'm
sorry
we're
only
doing
one
per
meeting.
Is
that
what
you
want
me
to
do.
D
B
E
A
E
We
have
the
information
to
discuss
earlier,
so
if
we're
putting
it
on
the
agenda-
and
someone
says
my
events
this
weekend
and
it's
you
know
friday
and
could
in
theory
or
thursday
in
theory
could
still
go
on
the
agenda,
my
preference
is
that
they
do
a
little
planning,
just
like
I'm,
requiring
staff
to
do,
and
that's
just
a
comment
because
I
know
it
doesn't
always
work
that
way.
But
yeah
it's
my
comment.
I
would
agree
with
that.
B
F
F
B
That
I
need
to
do.
Okay,
I
have
my
direction.
Okay,
okay.
I
would
like
to
just
announce
the
vacancies
very
quickly
before
we
do
the
discussion
on
the
service
boards
and
communities.
If
that's
all
right
sure,
very
brief.
We
have
several
unexpired
terms.
Two
for
alternates
on
the
board
of
zoning
appeals.
B
Be
another
discussion
before
we
get
into
the
specifics
of
the
affordable
housing
advisory
committee
that
vice
mayor
kerry,
served
on
previously,
we've
discussed
that
and
the
preference
is
that
we
remove
that
from
the
council
list
and
reassign
that
for
an
employee
to
represent
the
city,
as
was
done
in
the
past,
we
had
someone
from
urban
design.
I
believe
that.
C
Makes
sense
that
makes
a
lot
of
sense.
The
reason
for
this
is
the
the
discussions
that
they
were.
Having
were
at
staff
levels
and
many
times.
I
had
absolutely
no
idea
what
they
were
talking
about,
because
it
was
not
anything
that
we
had
ever
discussed
or
that
anybody
had
ever
shared
with
me
and
I
felt
like
having
joan
filled
in
for
me
one
time
when
I
couldn't
go
and
it
was
so
much
more
successful,
she
got
she
got
really
into
the.
B
Those
are
consensus,
we'll
remove
that
from
you.
Thank
you,
okay,
and
if
you
would
like
to
go
ahead
and
discuss
the
the
what
you
want
to
take
them
just
in
the
order
of
the
list,
charlotte
county
airport
authority
council
member
miller
had
that
as
his
number
one
choice
and
no
one
else
had
selected
that
we
want
to
go
ahead
and
assigned
to
sign
that
charlotte
harbor
environmental
center.
B
Again,
this
councilman
member
miller
had
that
as
his
number
two
choice
and
no
one
else
had
selected
that
so
assign
that
sure,
okay,
coastal
and
heartland
national
estuary
program
vice
mayor
carey,.
A
B
We'll
skip
over
drug-free
pentagorda
since
nobody
had
selected
that
the
metropolitan
planning
organization-
and
that
was
number
one
for
mayor
matthews
and
number
three
for
council
member
krafke.
D
I'd
really
like
to
stay
on
that
board.
I
think
the
content
continuity
has
been
really
good
for
the
city
and
we've
really
made
some
major
progress
in
the
last
year
or
so
I'd
like
to
stay
on
that
board.
If
no
one
has
any
objections,
no.
B
Okay,
the
housing
authority
vice
mayor
carrie-
that
was
her
number
two
choice
and
no
one
else
had
selected
that
assign
that
good.
Is
it
congratulations
in
the
southwest
florida
league
of
cities,
council,
member
crafty?
That
was
her
number
two
choice
in
mayor
matthews
number
three.
F
Well,
we
can
it's
it's
kind
of
one
of
those
things
where
you
get
to
know
the
people,
and
so
it's
not.
You
don't
have
to
be
the
mayor
to
be
to
represent
the
city.
In
fact,
not
all
the
not
all
of
the
represents
representatives
are
mayors,
so.
F
F
Come
yeah
actually,
just
there
are
other
cities.
I've
invited
greg
to
come
to
the
to
the
next.
One.
You're
welcome
to
even
participate
right
now,
they're
on
their
zoo
meetings,
and
there
are
mayors
from
even
though
the
representative
was
not
a
mayor.
There
are
mayors
from
cities
who
do
show
up
at
the
meetings.
F
D
A
F
A
B
Okay,
the
next
one,
then,
is
the
southwest
florida,
regional
planning,
council
and
council
member
cummings
had
indicated
that
to
be
his
number
two
choice
and
nobody
else
had
asked
for
that.
One,
okay
and
then
finally,
the
tourist
development
council,
council
members,
prof
gyant
and
cummings
had
listed
that
as
their
number
one
choice.
F
F
Yeah,
I
usually
go
to
the
yeah.
I
could
do
that.
I
would
I
just
yeah.
I
could
do
that.
I
usually
go
to
the
burnt
store
isles
homeowners
association
board
meeting
okay.
Well
then,
I
could
do
that.
Well,.
B
Okay
and
then
the
last
thing
is
drug-free.
Punctuator.
A
B
Thank
you
and
I'll.
Let
you
know
of
any
meeting
dates
that.
D
And
business
and
economic
development
is
this
friday.
F
D
Okay,
so
we're
down
to
policy
in
legislation
for
those
who
have
responded
to
me
with
the
for
the
veterans
day
event
appreciate
it.
Are
you
going
to
be
attending
joha,
okay
and
that
will
be
at
11
o'clock
on
the
11th
congressman
stubey
will
be
the
keynote
speaker,
contrary
to
what
was
earlier
published.
D
That's
just
changed
today,
so
I
look
forward
to
having
everybody
be
at
that
and
thank
you
all
for
the
rsvps
that
I
did
receive
and
thank
you
for
the
approval
for
the
theater
at
the
military
heritage
museum
on
behalf
of
the
museum
board.
They
wanted
me
to
express
my
appreciation
and
thank
you
very
much
to
all
of
you
for
your
confidence
in
me
as
the
mayor,
and
I
truly
appreciate
it,
and
I
take
it
very
seriously
and
I
hope
to
do
a
great
job
nancy.
Any
comments.
F
So
I
wanted
to
let
you
all
know
that
I
have
served
for
seven
years
on
our
city
council
and
it's
been
an
honor
and
a
privilege
to
serve
here
and
represent
district
five
on
the
pentagon
city
council
and
on
all
our
committees
and
and
what
have
you
and
in
in
many
of
our
communities.
F
Municipalities,
eight
years
is
when
people
term
out,
we
don't
have
term
limits
here,
but
in
our
state
legislature,
eight
years
is
a
also
when
they
turn
out,
and
so
I
want
to
let
everyone
know
that
this
will
be
my
last
year
on
the
council.
I've
I've
decided
that
eight
years
is
is
a
lifetime.
F
It's
it's
yeah,
I
just
you
know.
I
I've
been
thinking
about
it
and
when
is
the
right
time-
and
I
just
feel
like
eight
years
is-
is
a
good
number
and
I
will
be
serving
with
all
of
the
intensity
that
I
have
in
the
past
seven
years
for
this
upcoming
year,
but
I
will
not
be
seeking
re-election
in
in
june.
F
So
I
wanted
to
let
you
all
know
that
and
for
anyone
who's
thinking
that
they
may
possibly
want
to
be
a
city
council
member,
but
I
wanted
to
put
it
out
there
rather
than
wait
and
and
let
you
know
people
wonder
next
year,
so
I
just
wanted
to
let
everyone
know
and
and
I'll
still
be
around
here
for
the
next
year
and
it's
it's
been
a
wonderful
seven
years.
I
C
I
am
so
relieved
that
the
people
of
charlotte
county
approved
that
I
cannot
tell
you
and
all
I
can
say,
is
to
the
staff
and
melissa
and
the
people
who
worked
on
the
committee
with
us
to
get
our
list
put
together.
I
thank
them
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart.
It
was
a
thankless
job
at
the
time,
but
oh
my
gosh.
We
passed
it
and
I
think
that
was
showing
that
people
had
confidence
in
what
we
selected
as
are
important
things
to
do,
and
I'm
not
kidding.
I
am
going
to
sleep
tonight.
G
Yes,
first
of
all,
try
not.
We
should
try
not
to
zoom
very
often
because
it's
very
hard
to
hear
yes,
it
is
this
morning.
What
happened
is
right
when
we
were
voting
for
mayor
and
vice
mayor,
I
was
cut
off,
so
I
don't
know
that
my
vote
got
recorded,
but
I
wanted
to
say
that
I
voted
for
both
of
you
and
congratulations
very
much.
G
A
G
Certainly
understand
that
eight
years
is
a
long
time
and
just
echoing
what
we
said
in
terms
of
the
one
cent
sales,
that's
a
great
thing
to
have
behind
us,
because
we're
gonna
need
it.
Yes,.
