Description
Burnt Store Isles Canal Advisory Committee 5-9-2023
A
Right,
let's
stand
first
thing:
anybody
has
cell
phones,
please.
A
A
A
C
A
Don't
have
any
either
so
okay
moving
right
along
note
here
about
public
comments.
Anyone
wishing
to
address
the
Burnt
Store
Isle
Canal
advisory
committee
on
any
subject
may
do
so
at
the
appropriate
time.
During
the
meeting,
those
who
choose
to
speak
must
State
their
name
for
the
record.
Each
person
will
be
allowed
to
speak
up
to
a
maximum
of
three
minutes.
A
C
D
D
Okay,
next
one
is
the
budget
utilization
report.
D
I
do
know
that
we
do
have
the
mangroves
trimmers
are
out
in
the
perimeter
cow
trimming
along
I
have
not
received
that
invoice
yet,
but
I
do
know
that
they're
out
there
I
don't
know
they
should
be
close
to
finishing
they.
A
A
A
D
So
you
obviously
know
that
Council
approved
the
contract,
so
there's
a
period
of
time
where
the
contractors
have
to
submit
their
bonds
and
insurance
and
all
their
documentation
needed
to
issue
a
notice
to
proceed.
We
are
hoping
to
issue
that
notice
to
proceed
within
the
next
couple
days.
According
to
the
contract,
they
will
have
20
days
after
the
notice
to
proceed
has
been
issued
to
start
so
I'm
expecting
boots
on
the
ground
after
Memorial
Day.
That's.
D
Zones
have
to
start
at
the
same
time
so
for
Burnt
Store
Isles
Marine
Contracting
group
was
awarded
both
zones,
so
that
will
be
your
contractor.
You
have
one
severely
eroded
site,
that's
on
Mondovi,
and
then
you
have
another
high
priority
site,
which
is
on
triply
I
think
it
is
so
so
they'll
start
with
Mondovi.
First,
actually,
they
have
already
met
with
the
condo
people
out
there
there's
some
utility
conflict
issues
going
on
that
they're
trying
to
resolve
so
as
soon
as
they
get
there
go
ahead.
A
C
D
I'm
going
to
present
that
Gary
just
came
back
last
week,
so
he's
he's
been
out
of
the
loop
for
a
while,
so
I
told
him
I
would
you
know
do
this
report
because
he
it
would
take
me
forever
to
bring
him
up
to
speed
so
I
told
him.
I
would
do
this
report
and
then
he'll
come
up
here
in
a
little
while
anyways
and
all.
D
Know
what's
going
on
so
the
Capital
Improvements
is
obviously
the
burnt
straws
lock
widening.
Yes,
you
can
see
there.
The
construction
budget
is
one
million.
Fifty
thousand
dollars,
as
we
agreed
in
our
past
meetings,
that
we
were
going
to
wait
on
that
contract
until
we
got
schedules
in
and
see
what
we
were
doing
with
the
seam
all
replacement.
D
D
D
Sea
walls
first
yeah,
you
know,
and
then
then
we
can
get
to
the
lock
Okay.
So,
okay,
the
master
permit
agreement
status
report.
D
So,
as
you
know,
as
we
talked
about
last
at
our
last
meeting,
we've
already
received
our
Seawall
and
rip
rap
permit.
We
are
currently
working
on
the
dredging.
Permit.
Applications
have
been
submitted
to
dep
and
Army
Corps
of
Engineers
and
I.
Think
that's
really
the
only
permit
that
concerns
our
BSI
folks.
Yes,
yes,.
D
So
I
guess
we
go
to
General
comments
or
general
business.
Yes,
I
don't
have
any
general
business
unless
you
guys
do.
B
D
Staff
comments
I
was
approached
by
the
boaters
Alliance
I
actually
attended
a
boater
Alliance
committee
meeting,
and
they
had
asked
me
to
ask
The
Advisory
Board
The
Advisory
boards.
They
want
to
put
Canal
names
on
our
seawalls
okay,
so
I
I
am
here
to
see.
If
that
is
something
The
Advisory
Board
is
interested
in
doing
before.
I
spend
all
the
time
to
put
together
a
cost
estimate
and
maps
and
all
that
other
stuff
I
was
I.
Just
want
to
ask
you
guys
if
that
is
something
you
want
to
pursue,.
D
Don't
have
that,
and
that
is
something
that
we
can
discuss
end
of
the
day.
It's
going
to
come
down
to
cost
yeah
all
right.
Do
we
put
it
at
every
intersection?
Do
we
just
put
it
along
the
perimeter
Canal,
you
know
I
think
we
need
to
discuss
color
material.
Do
we
want
it
reflective
it's
going
to
have
to
go
on
the
cap
because
it
can't
go
on
the
wall
because
a
lot
of
times
our.
A
B
D
Know
what
I'm
saying
so,
but
if
you
want
me,
if
that
is
something
you
want
me
to
pursue,
I
can
go
ahead
and
pursue
that
and
it'll
have
to
be
something
that
we
budget,
okay
and
and
I'll
have
to
you
know,
be
part
of
our
budget.
It'll
have
to
go.
You
know
before
Council
and
stuff
like
that,
but
if
you
want,
that
is
something
that
I
can
start
looking
into.
D
So
so
the
purpose
share
with
you.
The
perp
of
their
request
was
because
they
were
having
like
people
that
were
buying
new
homes
and
they
were
coming
in
with
their
boat,
didn't
know
how
to
get
to
their
backyards.
You
know,
or
they
were
getting
lost
or
whatever
they're.
On
the
flip
side
of
that,
we
also
have
a
security
issue.
D
This
has
been
discussed
before
in
the
past,
and
everyone
has
said
that
they
didn't
want
that,
because
they
were
afraid
that
people
would
know
where
they
were
and
they
knew
that
if
Mr
and
Mrs
Smith
was
on
vacation,
they
could
access
their
property
from
the
dock,
the
backyard
and
do
whatever
it
is
they
want
to
do
so.
There
are
security
issues
with
it
as
well,
so.
A
D
A
A
A
Going
to
undo
work
to
try
and
put
something
together.
That
would
be
fine,
we'll
see
where
it
goes.
Okay,
yeah.
B
Our
presentation
that
we
had
planned
on
presenting
for
the
perimeter
Channel
where
I
was
going
to
be
able
to
what
we
had
attempted
to
do
that
last
time
with
the
you
know,
logging
into
my
system
from
here
and
showing
all
of
the
Contour
data,
The
Boat
Lifts
things
of
that
nature.
That
would
impact
our
pinch
points
at
our.
You
know
our
tight
Corners
things
of
that
nature.
B
We're
going
to
be
testing
that
here
right
after
this
meeting
we're
you
know
pretty
close
to
being
able
to
actually
get
that
presentation
shown
so
we're
gonna.
We
have
a
few
things
to
test
after
this
and
then
hopefully
it'll
be
on
the
agenda
for
next
meeting,
where
we
can
do
that.
If
not
we've
discussed
maybe
doing
a
workshop
and
having
y'all
go
to
you
know
another.
B
Have
it
really
a
public
meeting,
but
have
everybody
come
in
sit
down
and
go
through
that
mapping?
At
the
same
time,.
