Burnt Store Isles Canal Advisory Committee 01-11-2022
C
D
I
tell
you
the
traffic
right
now,
I'm
ready
to
start
shooting
people.
Traffic
is
terrible,
it's
absolutely
horrendous
and
then
some
of
the
people.
I
have
no
idea
what
they
think
they're
doing:
they're
driving
down
the
left
side
of
the
road
and
then
her
client,
all
of
a
sudden
they're
going
to
make
a
left
turn
and
there's
no
place
to
make
a
left
turn.
A
But
you
know
that
all
that
land
are
clearing
off
from
jones
luke.
I.
D
A
C
Have
roll
calls
she
she
actually
just
left
here
to
get
the
meeting
started
so.
C
A
A
So
bob
you
know
that
melissa.
B
Runs
a
pool
service.
She
services
my
tool,
she
does
she
services
bernie
next
door
to
me
and
she
was
over
there
yesterday
working
on
his
pool
pump-
and,
I
said,
hey
melissa.
I
guess
I'm
not
one
of
your
constituents
anymore,
because
I'm
we're
in
district
four.
Now
she
wouldn't
talk
to
me.
D
D
B
A
Well,
I
say:
I'm
gonna
drop
the
hammer
here.
Let's
get
started
we're
going
to
have
pledge
of
allegiance,
then
roll
call,
which
is
a
little
bit
different.
C
B
A
B
A
Right,
we're
all
president
accounted
for
announcements.
It
says
next.
A
Okay,
moving
right
along
the
next
meeting
is
scheduled
february
8th.
Does
anybody
have
any
problems
with
that?
No.
A
Okay,
that
we
can
go
back
to
next,
so
you
want
to
make
an
announcement
norm
in
that.
A
A
All
righty
no
problem
next
meeting
moving
on,
let's
see
is
public
comments.
Does
it
there's
nobody
to
swear?
I
don't
know
if
there's
going
to
be
any
public
comments,
so
there's
no
public
comments
expected
so
we'll
move
right
along
with
that,
I
guess
we're
going
to
go
to
approval
in
the
minutes.
Has
everybody
read
over
the
menace
any
comments
nor
moves?
Second,.
B
A
Sean
second
any
comments:
if
not
all
in
favor,
all
right
so
moved
reports
I'll
leave
it.
C
To
you
kathy,
thank
you,
sir.
You
have
three
months
of
finance
reports.
Were
there
any
questions
or
concerns.
C
Moving
on
to
the
budget
utilization
report-
and
we
have
october
november
december's
reports
here,
as
you
can
see,
we
haven't
spent
any
money
yet
because
we
haven't
done
anything
yet
we
just
moved
into
burnt
store
isles
to
do
seawall
repair,
so
we
haven't
even
the
invoices
that
we
have
haven't
reflected
on
our
budgeting
software.
Yet
so
you'll
see
some
spending
in
our
next
meeting
right.
Okay,
seawall
replacement
status
report.
C
As
you
can
see,
we
did
experience
a
sea
wall
failure.
I
think
I
emailed
everybody
and
let
you
know
that
we
had
a
seawall
failure
on
tripoli.
They
should
be
moving
over
there
this
week,
right
now,
they're
on
port
vendress,
they're,
they're
gonna,
be
they
should
have
completed,
setting
the
sea
wall
from
there
and
then
they're
going
to
move
over
to
tripoli
to
take
care
of
that
failed
sea
wall.
C
C
C
A
C
Okay,
mr
disher,
isn't
here
so
I'm
going
to
cover
for
him
as
far
as
the
capital
improvement
program,
the
bsi
inlet
widening,
which
is
widening
the
lock
that
is
still
up
into
procurement.
We
expect
that
to
hit
the
streets
next
week.
Okay,
we've
had
just
some
contract,
rewriting
things.
Some
definitions
had
to
reach
out
to
the
permitting
agency
to
get
a
definition
of
what
they
were.
Looking
for
and
stuff
like
that,.
C
So
you
can
expect
about
two
months.
We
usually
give
them
a
month.
You
know
just
because
we
have
some
specialized
material
so
and
they
need
to.
Let
us
know
what
their
lead
time
is
and
stuff
like
that.
So.
A
C
Yeah,
I
think
everyone
has
heard
that
you
know
we
have
material
shortages,
construction,
material
shortages.
So
we
don't
know
what
kind
of
lead
time
the
contractor
is
going
to
need,
but
we
will
see
when
the
bids
come
in.
A
B
C
A
I
think
it
last
meeting
dave
correct
me.
If
I'm
wrong,
did
you
request
a
copy
of
those
documents
that
you're
wanting
to
look
at.
C
Would
you
like
that
we
don't
have
the
final
document
yet
because
procurement's
still
working
on
them,
but
I
can.
D
A
D
C
Now
the
one
thing
that
we
know
about
bsi
is
it's
built
on
a
rock
ledge,
so
we
we
know
that
a
lot
of
our
sea
walls
either
have
insufficient
berms
or
they
weren't
embedded
enough
because
of
the
rock
ledge.
D
C
C
I
mean
if,
if
you
I
don't
mean
to
plant
a
seed,
but
if
you
all
wanted
to
put
like
rip
rap
at
the
toe
of
all
the
sea
walls,
that
would
be
a
very
expensive
project
to
do,
but
that's
something
that
you
know
that
you
could
consider
you
know
just
just
to
protect
the
berm.
But
then,
if
someone
were
to
put
in
a
dock,
they'd
have
to
remove
that
rip,
wrap
to
put
the
the
dock
pilings
in
it.
It's
a
lot
of
trouble.
B
C
No,
oh,
we
do
have
the
master
permitting
agreement
yep.
So
what
do
I
know
about
that?
Hang
on
a
second,
so
we
still
don't
have
our
seawall
rip
rap
permit
still
has
not
been
issued,
we're
still
under
the
old
permit.
Okay,
because
we
are
in
the
application
process,
it's
currently
in
army
corps
of
engineers,
and
they
are
waiting
to
meet
with
national
marine
fisheries.
C
So
we're
still
working
on
that
the
dredging
permit
that
is
going
to
be
submitted
next
week,
that
is,
for
the
inlet,
dredging
and
the
dockside
dredging.
Okay-
and
let
me
see-
and
that's
about
it,
for
bsi.
A
One
one
other
thing:
I
know
that
you
were
having
the
semi-annual
inspections
done.
C
So
I'm
actually
on
the
boat
this
year,
the
sea
wall
assessment
did
start
in
december.
We
expect
to
be
in
the
burnt
store
aisles
the
first
week
of
february.
Okay,
we
have
ninety
five
thousand
forty
two
lineal
feed
up
to
inspect,
so
we
figure
that'll
take
probably
about
a
week
week
and
a
half,
but
right
now
we're
in
the
bird
section
and
of
course
we
only
go
out
there
during
low.
C
A
One
other
question
here:
I
know
we're
kind
of
off
because
it's
a
quiet
crowd
here
today
you
had
mentioned
to
me.
I
guess
it
was
after
one
of
my
articles
in
the
newspaper
or
on
our
newsletter
that
you've
gotten
some
good
responses
from
from
residents
reporting
to
you
about
seawall
conditions.
A
C
Got
several
calls?
Actually
it
was
kind
of
good.
It
got
some
neighbors
out
in
their
backyard.
We
got
a
lot
of
depression
requests.
We
got
a
lot
of
inspection
requests,
a
lot
of
the
inspection
requests
were
it
was
great.
You
know
we
have
it
documented
yeah,
there's
a
crack
in
your
wallet
or
cracking
your
cap,
but
nothing
we
didn't
find
anything
really
bad
out
there.
So
we
did,
you
know
we
got.
We
got
through
the
depressions
got
them
filled.
A
C
A
C
B
C
So
I
do
also
want
to
go
back
to
the
seawall
assessment.
Once
we
do
complete
the
sea
ball
assessment,
we'll
come
back
to
the
board
again
and
let
you
know
what
our
findings
are.
Okay,
I'll,
let
you
know
you
know
all
that
good
stuff,
we'll
submit
a
report
to
you
guys
so
you'll
be
able
to
see
that.
So
you
can
figure
that
probably
sometime
in
march,
probably
in
our
march
meeting
it
all
depends.
We
have
to
bring
the
data
back
and
it
gets
post-processed
and
then
we'll
bring
that
back
either
march
or
april.
C
I
do
want
to
let
you
know
that
the
we
went
out
for
bids
for
the
mangrove
services,
our
annual
contract,
we
weren't
quite
happy
with,
and
so
I
thought
well,
let's
try
something
different.
Let's
go
out
for
a
bid
to
do
it
all
at
once.
So
I
put
pgi
and
bsi
together
we
advertise
for
bids.
We
only
got
two
bids
in
and
one
of
them
was
from
the
contractor.
That's
currently
doing
it
and
he
was
the
lowest
bidder,
so
he's
got
it,
but
he
is
under
different
contract
requirements
this
time.
C
Okay,
so
he
has
a
hundred
days
to
complete
all
of
the
mangrove
trimming
that
po
is
issued
today.
So
I
think
it's
february
9th
is
when
he
starts
he's
supposed
to
start
his
mangrove
trimming
and
again
he's
doing
both
pgi
and
bsi.
I
didn't
see
a
significant
cost
savings
at
all.
It
was
pretty
much
about
the
same
across
the
board
for
both
pgi
and
bsi,
but
hopefully
we
can
get
better
services
out
of
it.
This
time
we
have
a
little
bit
stronger
language
in
it.
C
The
contract
we
had
before
we
shared
with
the
parks
department
and
the
right-of-way
department,
because
not
only
did
they
do
mangrove
trimming,
but
they
did
tree
trimming
tree
removal
and
things
of
that
nature.
So,
but
I
think
with
just
a
mangrove.
I
just
wanted
to
see
if
we
could
get
a
better
price
or
a
better
service
if
we
went
and
contracted
our
own
contract
out,
so
we'll
see
what
we
get
with
that
we
still
have
the
other
contract
in
place.
B
C
It's
it's
basically
on
an
inspection
basis,
the
mangroves
change
all
the
time
we
had
that
big
windstorm.
We
had
a
lot
of
mangroves
that
were
knocked
down
from
that
big
wind
storm,
yeah,
okay
and
a
lot
of
mangroves
changed
their
structure.
You
know
I'm
saying
out
at
ponson
like
I'll,
give
you
for
an
example.
I
have
a
lot
of
trees
that
are
like
at
a
45
degree
angle.
We
have
to
do
something
about
that,
because
that's
a
navigational
hazard,
so
it's
going
to
be
inspection
based.
They
do
have
maps
you
know.
C
So
the
only
thing
this
time
is,
they
will
be
riding
on
the
boat
with
me
during
that
final
inspection
after
the
mangroves
have
been
trimmed.
B
C
C
You
know
they
have
100
days
to
complete
everything,
so
they
have
to
be
efficient
that
you
know
they
have
to
pull
staging
permits.
So
I
can't
I
won't,
have
barges
parked
at
a
lock
for
weeks
at
a
time
you
know
I
have
contract
language
that
will
actually
back
up
some
action
that
I'll
be
able
to
take.
So
I'm
hoping
we'll
get
a
little
better
service
here.
So
I
hope
you
appreciate
that
we'll
see
what
happens.
Yeah,
okay,
I'm
trying
something
new!
You
know.
I
appreciate
it.
B
C
B
C
I
know
that
you
have
a
set
of
construction
plans,
so
on
page
two
there's
a
bunch
of
notes.
On
page
two
and
you'll
see
it's
like
almost
like
a
third
down
from
the
page,
it'll
say
when
the
lock
will
be
open,
so
residents
are
able
to
schedule
their
coming
and
going
and
and
stuff
like
that.
C
A
C
C
A
B
A
All
right,
I'm
hearing
that
I
guess
we're
we're
good
there.
Okay,
so
any
closing
comments,
guys
anything
else.
No!
I
have
one
the
you
didn't
get
sworn
in
now.
