What
we're
gonna
show
at
the
Business
Expo
tomorrow
business
expose
at
the
Event
Center
10:00
to
4:00.
Please
stop
by
and
see.
For
the
first
time
the
city
has
a
booth
it'll
be
staffed
by
our
communications
manager
and
representatives
of
all
the
city
departments,
and
this
is
a
video
that
will
be
playing
produced
by
aqua.
D
C
A
Right
a
few
weeks
ago,
I
was
very
encouraged,
with
the
prospects
of
being
able
to
report
to
you
that
we
had
the
outline
of
a
conceptual
settlement
in
the
fish,
ville
litigation
and
just
just
to
kind
of
give
a
very
brief
background.
After
after
the
acquisition,
an
entity
is
controlled
by
a
citizen
as
well
as
several
heirs
of
the
tribute
family
filed
a
complaint
for
declaratory
judgment,
contending
that
there
was
a
provision
in
the
state
in
a
state
statute
that
entitled
them
to
the
proceeds
of
the
sale
of
parkland
that
was
originally
dedicated.
A
I
did
a
fair
amount
of
research
on
the
question
they
represented
as
a
fish
bill
did
a
fair
amount
of
research
on
the
title
history
of
the
lands
in
question,
and
we
were
fairly
certain
that
the
case
was
without
without
merit.
I
won't
say
that
it
was
frivolous,
but
it
was
it
was
without
merit
and
we
had
a
fair
number
of
Defense's
that
would
be
available
to
us,
but
nevertheless,
if
there
was
a
way
to
settle
the
case
without
going
through
protracted
litigation
likely
appeals.
A
Following
that,
we
embarked
on
coming
up
with
concepts
for
settlement,
and
we
were
very
I
thought.
We
were
very
close
and
almost
there
just
a
few
weeks
ago
when
for
reasons
that
I'm
not
fully
privy
to
the
fish,
fill
and
I'm
sorry
to
be
using
the
short
name
but
fish
fill
organization
who
were
intervenors
in
that
action.
They
weren't
actually
named
as
a
party
as
the
city
was
decided
that
they
could
not
agree
to
a
particular
term
that
was
involving
them
much
more
than
involving
the
city
and
in
and
instead
of
agreeing
to
that
term.
A
As
part
of
the
settlement,
they
decided
to
pull
out
of
the
settlement
and
upon
a
determination
that
they
were
not
required
to
be
a
party
to
that
settlement
and
therefore
they
wouldn't
need
to
give
up.
I
presume
some
rights
that
they
might
otherwise
had
as
a
result
of
that
action
that
caused
the
plaintiffs
to
take
a
slightly
different
tact
as
it
related
to
the
city,
which
was
already
worked
out
once
since
the
fish
bill
was
very
partied
and
so
I
won't
say
we're
back
to
square
one
I
think
we're
just
taking
a
step
back.
A
A
Unfortunately,
it
appears
it's
somewhat
like
herding,
cats,
I
and
so
I
checked
my
email
this
morning
and
was
advised
that
they're
still
trying
to
get
a
hold
of
the
heirs.
So
once
again,
I
remain
optimistic
that
we
are
close
to
a
settlement
that
would
involve
just
the
city
and
I
won't
make
a
prediction
as
to
whether
I'll
have
a
conceptual
settlement
to
bring
to
you.
Ultimately,
the
terms
still
remain
to
be
discussed
and
approved
by
the
City
Council,
but
I
wanted
to
be
able
to
narrow
what
it
was
that
you
had
to
consider.
A
It
should
be
easy
to
resolve
this
case.
It
gets
much
more
complicated
in
resolving
the
case.
I'll
be
coming
back
to
you
and
saying
you
know.
The
idea
was
to
avoid
legal
fees
and
litigation
costs.
Let's
just
go
to
court,
we're
gonna,
you
know
I
felt
like
we'd
win,
and
then
we
won't
have
to
do
anything
to
agree
with
what
the
demands
of
the
plaintiffs
were.
So
hopefully,
one
way
or
another
very
soon,
I'll
be
able
to
make
that
presentation
to
you
is.
A
Really
I
mean
it's
it's
it's
not
so
much
that
it's
not
so
much
the
dollars
and
cents
it's
what
those
dollars
and
cents
can
be
used
for,
and
we
had
an
understanding
that
understanding
has
changed
a
little
bit.
Part
of
it
has
to
do
with
fish
Bill's
willingness
to
contribute
some
attorneys
fees
that
we've
expressed,
that
that
likely
the
city
would
not
be
willing
to
do
and
that
caused
a
change
I'm
trying
to
get
it
back
on
track,
I
think.
Ultimately,
it
will
be
fair
to
the
tribute
families.
E
We
have
an
unexpired
term
as
an
alternate
on
the
building
board.
We
have
an
unexpired
term
as
an
alternate
on
the
code
enforcement
board.
We
have
two
three-year
terms
on
the
Historic
Preservation
Advisory
Board,
and
this
is
a
Rhian
ounce
minh
of
those
vacancies.
Now
that
we've
moved
forward
with
their
bylaws
and
then
we
have
one
four
year
term
on
the
police
officers,
pension
board.
E
F
E
B
C
B
E
E
E
E
E
B
Next,
under
policy
and
legislation,
I
sent
an
email
last
night
that
it
was
suggested
to
me
and
I
thought.
It
was
a
very
good
idea
that
we
add
a
monthly
agenda
item
called
whatever
we
want
to
call
it.
The
part
progress
status
report.
So
it's
basically
like
a
running
total
like
what
we
kind
of
do
with
the
CRA,
so
that
we
can
keep
track
of
the
status
of
our
park
projects,
the
ones
that
are
going
now
and
the
ones
in
the
future.
B
Just
so
we,
instead
of
having
to
go
back
into
the
weeds
and
do
agendas
to
look
at
what
the
last
update
of
the
you
know
the
Potts
Park
and
things
that
would
be
more
concise
and
there
every
month,
and
if
there
was
no
update,
it
would
just
go
to
the
consent
agenda.
So
it
would
just
be
a
quick
agenda
item
once
a
month
that
where
we
could
just
update,
what's
happening
on
our
parks,.
B
Your
ones
in
the
CRA
or
in
the
CRA
status
report,
but
the
ones
that
aren't
in
the
lacox
is
not
in
the
CRA
so
that
we
don't
get.
We
only
get
the
updates
when,
like
the
plans,
come
in
or
when
there's
a
change
or
you
know
when
we
do
an
overall
look
at
it,
but
it
would
just
be
running
more
of
a
running
total
of
everything.
That's
happening.
F
F
B
G
Know
there
are
other
topics
that
residents
are
asking
about,
always
that
you
know
I
get
asked
quite
frequently.
When
are
you
gonna
replace
the
palms
on
on
41,
northbound
and
so
I
go
to
John
the
bow
and
say
well,
what's
the
latest
and
so
and
she's
very
you
know
we're
supposed
to
be
maybe
the
end
of
this
week
or
the
beginning
of
next
week,
starting
to
get
something
but
I
kind
of
see
it
as
my
role
as
to.
B
F
Almost
like
to
see
just
a
general
update
report
every
month
or
every
two
months
on
things,
we've
already
voted
on
that
are
kind
of
ongoing
that
are
pending
and
just
an
update,
a
general
update
and
overview
of
some
of
the
things
that
are
still
out
there
in
the
wind.
You
know
I
mean
rather
than
just
living
it
to
the
parks.
F
B
G
C
F
C
B
B
You
I
believe
that's
all
I
have.
Did
you
have
anything
else
for
me?
Okay,
just
want
to
comment
on
our
trip
to
Tallahassee.
We
met
with
a
lot
of
legislators
and
our
lobbyist
Jerry
Paul
and
his
partner
Rosanna
Catalano
worked
us
Wow.
They
worked
us
I.
Think
one
day
was
6.4
miles.
The
second
day
was
seven
point
something
miles.
My
feet
hurt
really
bad
by
there
by
the
time
I
got
in
the
car
to
drive
home,
so
they're
they're,
very
effective
to
see
them
doing
their
work
up
there,
they're
they're
respected
they're,
welcomed
by
everybody.
B
They
have
great
relationships
with
not
just
our
local
delegation
but
people
outside
of
our
delegation
that
are
our
friends
and
supporters
and
care
about
Punta
Gorda.
So
we're
well
represented
up
there.
It
is
an
election
year,
so
there's
a
lot
of
craziness
going
on,
and
you
know
people
doing
this
for
this
reason
and
that,
for
this
reason
it's
all
political
but
I
have
to
say
we
were
well-received
and
we
the
one
day
that
we
did
the
Southwest
Florida
League
visits.
B
We
were
with
Manasota
League,
so
it
was
us
in
Northport
and
city
of
Sarasota
and
some
Lee
County
Bonita,
Springs
and
asaro.
So
it
was
a
good
collection
of
people
and
they
do
pay
attention
when
we
show
up
there.
So
I
thought
it
was
very
worthwhile.
It
was
very
tiring,
but
it
was
very
worthwhile
and
it
was
freezing
cold,
but
we
we
survived
it
and
you
know
I
hope
to
go
back
again
with
the
with
the
league
and
there's
a
lot
of
stuff
out.
There.
Bills
are
moving
that
do
have
impact
on
us.
B
We
have
to
be
conscious
of
that,
and
our
water
project
currently
is
not
not
in
the
budget,
but
we're
hoping
to
possibly
get
it
back.
Some
of
the
county
items
are
in
there,
but
it
right
now
it's
just
hashing
out
and
they
said
wait
till
the
end
when
they
have
their
big
conference,
their
budget
conference,
and
hopefully
we
can
get
back
in
the
picture.
But
if
not,
you
know
it
is
an
election
year.
We
may
just
have
to
wait
it
out
and
then
a
representation
will
change
and
then
we'll
be
in
a
better
position.
B
They
had
the
Pope
in
the
lobby
of
the
Capitol
building,
I
mean
they
were,
and
then
the
agriculture
people
were
there
and
the
FFA
kids
were
there
and
it
was
there's
a
lot
of
activity
up
there
so
enjoyed
it
enjoyed
it,
but
it
was
happy
to
be
home.
So
that's
it
on
that.
So,
council
member
comments,
we'll
start
with
jaha.
H
F
Just
a
couple
quick
things:
we
have
a
boaters
Alliance
steering
committee
meeting
on
Friday
to
start
working
on
the
the
waterfront
master
plan
and
I
have
received
from
Howard
all
the
old
documents
from
the
former
waterfront
Advisory
Committee.
That
was
in
place
and
then
disbanded
in
2011.
So
we're
going
to
work
from
that
and
use
that
as
our
starting
point
to
update
and
tweak
what
was
in
there
and
add
what
has
to
be
current
and
we'll
be
presenting
that
tooth,
they
will
be
presenting
it
to
City
Council
at
a
later
point
in
time.
F
I
just
serve
as
their
liaison
and
also
I
noticed
in
the
upcoming
DRC
agenda
that
there
is
there's
a
hearing
item
for
the
proposed
new
chase
bank
at
the
Carmelita
Street
intersection.
So
I
have
forwarded
that
information
to
the
MPO,
since
that
was
put
on
the
back
burner
off
by
FDOT
to
do
intersection,
improvements
and
I've
asked
them
to
reconsider.
So
I
will
keep
you
posted
on
that.
What.
B
H
Before
one
time
was
talking
looking
at
Rick
waters
and
things
and
looking
at
more
breakwater,
be
myself
looked
into
a
deeply
the
problem
is
we
can
have
a
sociological
effects
that
may
not
be
in
our
best
interest
if
we,
but
literally,
if
that
was
not
controlled
by
an
entity.
So
it's
not
public.
He
could
be
problematic
for
us
right.
So.
F
We
haven't
even
had
the
first
meeting
about
this,
yet
so
I
mean
we
had
the
workshop
a
couple
of
months
ago
and
they
took
a
lot
of
that
information.
We've
got
just
piles
of
paper,
things
to
review
and
start
with,
so
we
can
start
putting
on
paper
and
updated
waterfront
master
plan
and
we
have
the
PowerPoint
that
was
submitted
to
City
Council
a
couple
of
years
back
of
back
in
2011.
So
we
will
take
that
and
tweak
it
update
it
and
make
it
current
and
then
I.
F
G
Has
been
I
had
some
residents
comment
to
me
about
the
amount
of
traffic
that's
going
on,
you
know,
increase
in
traffic
this
season.
That
seems
to
be
much
more
so
than
in
past
and
I
had
to
remind
people
that
you
know
it
was
kind
of
a
interesting
conversation
it's
like
well,
we
can't
really
stop
people
from
building.
That's
gonna
continue.
G
B
F
Yeah
I
think
I
think
that's
probably
gonna
have
to
get
put
back
on
the
fast
track
because
of
the
nature
of
the
impact
that's
gonna
have
when,
when
I
gets
built,
I
mean
John.
Redmond
said
last
week,
right,
they're
gonna
come
out
of
the
ground
vertically
in
August,
and
they
plan
on
opening
late,
2019
early
2020
right
for
the
first
phase.
So
you
know,
FDOT
may
not
be
on
the
same
timeline
as
the
developers.
G
So
I
guess
the
question
is,
then:
is
that
something
where
we
need
there
going
to
be
the
the
cott,
the
causer
of
the
traffic
and,
if
Harborview
widening
to
four
lane
that
is
so
far
out?
Is
that
something
that
that
that
project
would
have
to
pay
for
that?
Could
pay
for
the
widening
of
the
road?
Because
it's
certainly
going
to
have
an
impact
on
our
community?
Well,.
B
G
G
F
F
B
I
Hey
Dan
good
afternoon,
my
name
is
Amanda
white
via
Tripoli.
Basically,
I
want
to
introduce
a
new
business
idea,
it's
the
pedal
tavern,
but
it's
more
of
a
pedal
bike.
As
what
I'm
trying
to
introduce
tavern
says
alcohol-related
and
I'm
not
trying
to
introduce
that
a
little
history
on
the
pedal
bikes
they
were
they've
been
around.
Since
1996,
they
were
introduced.
The
United
States
in
2007,
the
popularity
stemmed
around
2012
specifications
for
the
pedal
tavern
there
hold
15
passengers,
there's
a
two
hour
maximum
time
on
the
bikes.
I
They
do
three
to
four
stops
at
your
local
bars
restaurants
or
any
events
that
are
going
on
in
the
town.
The
target
would
be
locals
and
tourism
and
make
it
family-friendly
and
some
of
the
events
that
they
hold
our
special
occasions
like
birthdays,
graduations
bachelor
parties,
bachelorette
parties
and
it
basically
appeals
to
everyone.
I
I
I'm
actually
a
Nashville
transient,
so
so
that's
where
the
idea
came
from
and
I'm
a
platinum
ambassador
for
the
city
of
Nashville
and
which
spirit
in
is
a
CEO
of
the
Nashville
Convention
and
visitor
Corporation,
and
he
said
that
music
city's
booming
tourism
industry,
which
last
year
ranked
in
nearly
five
billion
in
visitor
spending
from
a
record
high,
was
pardoned
due
to
the
peddle
tyrants.
So
it's
they're
very
popular
at
this
point
and
once
again,
there's
no
alcohol.
I
First
I
was
not
I'm,
not
interested
in
selling
alcohol,
and
after
doing
some
research
insurance
is
entirely
too
expensive
and
usually
liquor
license
are
only
administered
to
a
fixed
location.
Secondly,
70%
of
the
licensees
are
not
allowed
to
let
patrons
bring
alcohol
on
board
and
third
I'm
pretty
much,
not
interested
in
jumping
through
any
hoops
for
local
ordinances.
I
Finally,
I'm
interested
in
creating
a
relationship
with
local
bar
owners,
restaurants
and
other
local
attractions.
The
benefits
that
I
researched
in
December
of
2019
Sunseeker
resort
will
open
within
the
resort,
there's
going
to
be
restaurants,
bars,
shops,
marinas
and
more
the
influx
of
the
visitors
and
will
basically
give
us
a
jump
on
the
continual
growth.
That's
gonna
be
happening.
The
pill
to
the
growth
of
the
revenue
is
before
the
resort
opens,
and
the
revenue
created
from
entertainment
is
the
greatest
appeal
for
locals
and
tourists
in
closing
some
of
the
area's
already
have
the
peddle
taverns.
I
J
There
are
no
brochures
describing
the
Vietnam
Wall.
After
at
the
military
museum
I've
taken
a
picture
of
the
Vietnam
Wall,
we've
created
some
maps
of
people
confined
away
from
Fisherman's
Village
to
the
Vietnam
Wall,
and
when
people
come
in
I
normally
point
out
to
them,
you
know.
Have
you
do
you
know
there's
well
here,
I'd
say
90%
of
them
do
not
know.
There's
a
wall
there.
If
they're
from
out
of
town,
they
do
not
have
a
clue
once
in
a
while.
The
people
from
surrounding
area
do
have
a
clue
and
you
have
a
car.
J
You
know.
Fisherman's
Village
is
probably
the
major
attraction
that
brings
people
in
from
out
of
town.
The
other
one
could
be
Vietnam,
Wall
and
you're
missing
an
opportunity
by
not
publicizing
it.
So
I
would
suggest
and
I.
In
fact,
I
suggested
that
maybe
you
want
to
hire
a
wayfinding
consultant
who
does
this
type
of
work
and
take
a
look
at
all
of
your
wayfinding
signs
in
town
I
understand
you
had
one
about
maybe
10
years
ago,
or
something
like
that.
J
Maybe
it's
time
to
take
a
look
again
and
bring
someone
in
and
review
the
whole
situation.
The
other
reason
I
was
in
fact
I
really
didn't
come
for
this
reason
they
had
an
incident
this
last
week,
we're
all
of
our
glasses
and
our
dishwasher
became
coated
and
I
spoke
to
someone
from
the
I'm.
An
engineer.
I've
been
involved
with
this
type
of
business
and
I
spoke
to
someone
from
the
water
department,
I
thought.
Well,
maybe
they
were
softening
and
something
happened
and
they
didn't
stop
and
they
said
no.
J
That
was
not
it
perhaps
because
of
the
low
flow
now
and
not
much
rain.
The
amount
of
minerals
and
shale
Creek
have
increased
and
that
could
have
been
the
problem,
but
it
did
happen
all
of
a
sudden
which
concerned
me,
which
made
me
think
of
something
else:
you're
building
a
narrow
plant
that
our
plant,
we
will
remove
all
of
the
minerals
from
the
water.
So
someone
needs
to
think
about
what
you
might
have
to
do
with
that
water.
J
Do
you
produce
it
and
you
don't
want
a
flint,
so
I,
don't
know
how
how
many
of
these
older
homes
in
town
might
have
lead
lead
pipes
to
their
houses
and
on
a
famous
thought
about
that,
but
to
protect
yourselves,
you
might
want
to
check
that
out
and
maybe
do
some
testing
beforehand.
So
you're
not
blamed
afterwards
for
a
problem,
but
just
a
print
thing
to
think
about.
B
J
Understand
I
understand
that
I
understand
I
spoke
to
many
representatives,
who
called
me
and
very
nice
individual
and
appreciated
speaking
to
them,
but
talk
to
your
consultants,
someone
needs
to
be
held
responsible
for
what
what's
gonna
be
done
in
the
end,
and
hopefully
it's
your
consultant
and
I
don't
know
about
the
pipes.
Has
anyone
taking
a
look?
You
know?
Are
there
lead
pipes?
Thank
you.
Are
there
LED
lead
pipes?
Thank.
B
K
Wendy
Mueller
I
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you
to
our
new
police
chief
I,
read
next
door
and
I
comment
on
it
and
boy.
Oh
boy,
has
everybody
been
complaining
about
speeders
and
where
are
the
police
and
what
happened
well
about
two
weeks
ago,
I
saw
police
cars
with
policemen
in
him,
and
I
saw
tickets
being
handed
out
and
this
past
week.
I
couldn't
do
anything
but
35
miles
an
hour
right
there,
where
you
do
45
miles
an
hour
between
the
bridge
and
Bal
Harbour
and
I
went
it
worked.
So
thank
you.
K
L
Mckibben
6:20
West
Marian,
going
back
to
the
park
issues.
Something
is
some
things
just
observations.
The
survey
in
the
newspaper
reported
1031
respondents
and
that
I
could
see
with
their
with
their
presentation
that
it
was
1000
and
then
600
600,
written
I
didn't
see
anywhere
where
they
knew
that
these
were
residents
of
the
city
of
Punta
Gorda
and
then,
even
if
you
take
1600
as
opposed
to
the
thousand,
that
I
was
thinking
about.
You
have
over
18,000
residents
here
and
so
you're
talking
anywhere
between
five
to
ten
percent
people.
L
L
They
created
money
problems
and
so
there's
a
little
bit
of
a
trust
issue
going
on
as
far
as
vision
and
unintended
consequences
with
the
park.
So
it's
gonna
be
a
big
issue,
I
think
for
Punta
Gorda,
and
we
appreciate
you
listening
to
us
and
making
sure
we're
all
educated
and
again
back
to
the
money
issue.
If
I
could
get
an
answer,
is
there
been
a
feasibility
study
about
how
much
would
it
cost
to
demolish
the
buildings?
And
then
you
know
what
I'm
saying
so
we
have
a
cost
analysis
and
we
can
really
make
some
decisions.
