Description
Description
B
On
the
board,
my
name
is
Lee
Richardson,
kitchen
and
bar
right
here
in
downtown
for
Nevada
I
wanted
to
come
before
you
just
to
address
this
issue.
I'm
thankful
to
do
this
discussion
and
not
a
vote
today,
but
I
made
a
little,
did
a
little
research
and
was
able
to
get
all
the
loud
noise
and
music
complaints
from
18
and
19,
which
I
believe
you
guys
also
have.
If
you
know
this
majority,
these
complaints
were
done.
B
The
people
that
hotels,
loud
door
slamming
and
such
most,
if
not
all
the
complaints
made
via
the
music
from
the
restaurants
or
bars,
we're
done
by
one
gentleman
and
I,
do
believe
it
was
a
gentleman
standing
before
me.
It
spoke
before
you
if
you
notice
the
disposition
on
90%
of
the
complaints
made
by
this
gentleman
from
the
responding
police
officer,
people
celebrating
lowered
the
volume,
fine
music
playing
establishment,
not
loud
at
this
time
Shaw.
The
first
said
it
was
louder
from
the
second
floor
of
his
home
officer.
B
Got
out
of
the
vehicle
on
Olympia
near
Durance,
and
Harvey
could
not
hear
music
playing
music.
It
already
ended.
Shellie
Pfohl
wanted
document
that
it
was
beginning.
His
arguments
gone
on,
arrival
turned
over
to
management
noise
complaint
none
listed,
but
but
informed
from
suspect,
listed,
stopped
prior
to
officer
arrival,
I
mean
the
officers
were
responding
or
even
stating
that
when
they
arrived
to
the
gentleman's
place,
they
don't
hear
it
or
it's
not
as
loud
as
what
this
gentleman
is
stating.
B
C
D
Since
last
October
we
have
been
soliciting
bigs
to
finish
the
donor,
plaza
area
where
your
staff
worked
with
us
to
do
that
beautiful
area.
That's
there
now
with
the
pedestals,
unfortunately,
about
six
seven
months
now,
no
kids,
the
companies
are
obviously
busy
doing
bigger
and
more
costly
things,
so
they
don't
want
a
small
50,000
dollar
job
and
unfortunately
we
don't
have
the
money
remaining
to
expand
into
the
ends
of
the
rest
of
the
projects
to
the
park.
D
So
I
would
I
would
ask
the
council
to
consider
helping
us
out
and-
and
let's
finish,
the
park
and
especially
mr.
Incans
said
finish
it
before
March
28
next
year,
and
it's
that's.
It's
going
to
be
huge
with
with
a
name
like
Lee
Greenwood,
and
he
didn't
mention
the
others,
but
the
others
are
also
on
the
charts
for
really
big
hits
over
and
any
any
help
you
could
do,
let's,
let's
move
it
along
and
it
benefits
the
city.
D
I
mean
it
is
a
city
park,
their
veterans,
don't
know,
despite
the
name
and
once
we
get
to
the
end
and
do
the
amphitheater
portion
of
the
project
in
front
of
the
gazebo
it'll
be
open
to
the
city
and
everybody
for
concerts
for
ceremonies.
As
a
matter
of
fact,
right
now,
I
have
on
my
infrequent
visits
to
the
park
notice,
three
weddings
with
the
music
and
and
the
preacher,
and
many
more
where
they
party
leads
the
Justice
Center
and
takes
their
photos
at
the
wall
and
the
gazebo.
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank
you,
sir.
E
I'm
curious
how
we
can
have
we
can
be
speaking
now
without
having
heard
your
discussion.
That
seems
a
little
backwards.
We
need
to
know
what
you
people
are
thinking.
Any
restrictions
on
businesses
ability
to
draw
customers
are
going
to
have
a
direct
negative
effect
on
the
restaurant
owners,
their
vendors
there
were
employees
and
Punta
Gorda
in
general.
E
Now,
let's
get
to
the
complaints,
31
noise
complaints
in
17
months,
twelve
of
those
have
nothing
to
do
with
loud,
music.
Okay,
that
leaves
nineteen
five
to
those
19
were
for
one-off
events,
the
block
party,
etc.
That
leaves
fourteen
eleven
of
those
fourteen
are
from
one
person
that
leaves
three
complaints
of
those.
Three
complaints
to
were
found
to
be
nothing
and
wooden
was
found
to
be
for
a
new
restaurant
that
had
just
opened
up
and
they
were
asked
to
turn
down
the
music.
E
F
F
during
the
week,
if
we
could
please
turn
or
take
the
music
inside,
preferably
so
that
business
owners
that
have
work
that
they
have
to
be
at
early
in
the
morning
can
actually
get
the
night
sleep
and
it
is
quite
noisy,
especially
during
the
season
and
again
we
are
all
for
the
music
and
the
restaurants,
but
not
late
at
night.
So,
according
to
section
14
one,
it
states
that
noise
should
not
travel
beyond
premises.
F
F
So,
since
there
is
an
ordinance
already,
maybe
I
don't
be
changed,
but
maybe
look
at
that
and
see.
How
can
we
do
this
together?
I
think
we
need
the
respect,
not
just
the
bar
and
restaurant
owners
and
the
tourists
coming
here,
but
we
also
have
the
respect
the
citizens
that
actually
live
in
this
neighborhood
and
that
have
maybe
old,
destroy
homes
or
new
homes.
So
we
like
to
stay
here,
we're
not
going
anywhere.
So
please
help
us,
discuss
this
and
see
what
we
can
do
together.
Thank
you.
Thank.
C
G
G
You,
my
name,
is
Mike
Colgan
I
run
a
not-for-profit
company
for
an
event
that
happens
once
a
year
in
town
called
the
promoted
pub
crawl.
I
want
to
thank
the
previous
speaker
for
recognizing
that
9:00
a.m.
or
9
p.m.
is
kind
of
early
to
be
talking
about.
Shutting
down,
live,
music
and
I
do
agree
with
Mike
Riley.
G
This
town
has
been
recognized
as
a
great
place
for
live
music
I'm,
a
big
proponent
of
live
music,
even
though
my
daytime
job
career
puts
me
in
sarasota.
North
selling,
background
music
but
live
music
is
what
truly
attracts
people.
It
attracts
people
their
businesses,
it
rains
revenue
to
this
city,
it
is
a
draw
and
the
pub
crawl
promotes
and
attracts
so
many
people
from
so
many
far-off
places
that
simply
rely
on
a
good
drawer
to
help
fight
hunger,
as
we
do
have
the
largest
in
person
food
drive
each
year.
G
We
have,
in
the
last
four
years
raised
over
4,500
pounds
of
food
for
the
Harry
Chapin
Food
Bank
each
and
every
one
of
the
last
four
years
last
year
was
five
thousand
four
99
pounds,
so
we
are
totally
against
anything
that
would
curtail
the
draw
that
vents
event
brings
or
that
the
fellow
businesses
in
this
town
and
the
event
planners
bring
to
this
town.
It's
not
a
problem,
that's
needs
fixing!
That's
our
opinion.
Thank.
C
H
I
live
in
poor
Shaw
I've
been
here
since
8800
Cora
has
become
a
huge
thing
now.
This
is
where
we
go
to
hangouts,
where
we
go
to
have
fun.
I
have
friends
that
come
from
Tampa
to
have
fun
down
here,
because
it's
more
fun
than
Tampa
to
them.
If
you
change
what
it
is,
give
me
nothing
here:
there
are
better
alternatives
and
changing
what
Punta
Gorda
has
become.
You
could
build
noise
barriers
as
a
community.
We
could
do
it.
H
We
have
a
Legionnaire
that
has
a
vested
interest
in
Punta
Gorda
building
that
resort
over
the
bridge.
If
Punta
Gorda
goes
away,
what
it
is
that
results,
gonna
sink,
you
have
Marriott,
who
also
has
live
music,
so
they're
gonna
want
their
hotel
to
succeed
and
they
have
deep
pockets.
You
have
all
the
downtown
businesses,
you
have
the
city,
you
have
the
county.
You
have
the
private
residents
that
don't
like
the
noise.
I
Jody
Belcher
and
I'm,
the
local
musician
I
sing
for
a
country
band
south
bound
and
I
also
sing
a
lead
singer
for
boogeymen
and
a
lot
of
the
comments.
I'm,
not
gonna
reiterate,
but
just
one
thing
I
was
playing
a
corporate
event
for
Amazon
at
Carmelo's
and
it
was
a
Wednesday
very
early
in
the
evening.
I
think
we
were
booked
from
5:00
to
8:00
and
at
around
7
o'clock.
The
manager
Natalie
at
Carmelo's
comes
up
to
me
frantic
that
the
music
was
too
loud
because
we
got
the
police
called
on
us.
I
I
personally
hired
a
sound
engineer
to
be
there.
I
told
him
that
the
police
had
been
called.
He
pulled
out
the
decibel
reading
and
it
was
at
ninety
which,
if
you're
familiar
with
that,
that
is
probably
if
everyone
started
talking
in
this
rhythm,
that's
about
90
decibels.
So
there
was
no
reason
for
the
police
to
be
called.
In
addition,
it
was
about
7:30
and
we
were
wrapping
up
with
this
event.
So
it
looks
to
me,
in
my
opinion,
that
any
noise
is
getting
hauled,
they're,
calling
the
police
on
any
musician.
I
C
J
I
love
it
and
not
to
what
everybody
else
is
said
about
the
music.
We
all
know
that
so
many
people
love
it
and
it
is
a
draw.
One
of
my
thoughts
concerning
this
that
is
a
little
different
from
what's
been
expressed
here,
is
that
we
are
having
Sun
seekers
come
in
and
our
area
of
downtown
Punta
Gorda
is
very
special
to
us.
J
One
of
the
reasons
I
lived
here
moved
here:
I
fell
in
love
with
it,
as
so
many
others,
and
when
Sun
seekers
comes
in,
they're
gonna
have
many
bars
and
restaurants
and
a
lot
of
other
things
and
what
makes
little
Punta
Gorda
unique
and
a
draw
for
many
people
for
many
other
communities
as
well
is
our
life
music
and
it's
charming
its
unique
it's
different.
If
that
is
curtailed,
I'm
thinking
when,
why
would
people
when
some
seekers
come
in?
Why
would
those
people
come
over
across
the
bridge
to
visit
us?
J
C
L
I
want
to
thank.
Where
did
with
the
information?
Initially
start,
it
started
because
I
get
Lynn,
Matthews
and
Debbie
carries
newsletters
every
week,
so
I
just
want
to
sit
here
and
highly
encourage
everybody
to
subscribe
to
those
newsletters
to
know.
What's
going
on
in
this
city,
I
I
certainly
agree
with
what
everybody
else
has
said:
I
appreciate
being
able
to
voice
my
opinions
on
this
and
but
I
was
asked.
Well.
L
C
M
M
Music
is
a
huge,
if
not
the
main
part
of
that
so
I
get
a
little
nervous
here.
Sorry,
but
against
that
you
against
the
growth
of
Punta,
Gorda
and
I,
don't
know
about
you,
I
don't
want
to
go
backwards.
Thank
you.
Thank.
C
N
Hello,
my
name
is
Joanna
Palmer
I
live
in
downtown
town
of
Grasse.
I've
lived
here
for
pretty
much
half
my
life,
but
I've
lived
in
downtown
for
about
ten
years,
I've
always
loved
to
Punta,
Gorda
and
I've
always
wanted
to
see
it
grow
and
thrive
and
become
just
exciting
and
lie.
We
and
lately
you
go
downtown
and
you
can
have
fun.
You
can
go
to
these
places.
They
have
music.
So,
yes,
I
can
understand
that
it
bothers
some
people,
but
I
think
that
it
would
be
a
shame
to
shut
that
down.
N
It's
just
so
exciting
to
see
what's
happening
in
Punta,
Gorda
and
I.
Just
only
want
to
see
it
grow
and
get
better,
and
so
you
know,
being
a
resident
of
downtown
I
do
hear
the
noise
sometimes,
but
that's
just
part
and
parcel
of
choosing
to
live
in
a
really
awesome
cool,
little
downtown
area.
So
I
I'm,
just
voicing
my
opinion
and
I
hope
that
it
doesn't
change
and
if
anything,
I
hope
it
becomes
more
and
we
have
more
options
and
more
exciting
things
to
do.
O
Good
morning
my
name
is
Chris
brew,
Qi
I'm,
a
29
year
resident
of
Charlotte
County
I'm,
also,
the
director
of
sales
and
assistant
general
manager
at
the
Hampton
Inn
on
Kings
on
off
of
Kings
Highway
lost
by
75
on
a
personal
side
of
it.
Having
lived
here
for
29
years
and
lived
on,
both
sides
of
the
bridge.
I
can
remember
a
time
before
the
hurricane
when
the
divide
was
if
I
lived
on
the
poor
Charlotte
side
of
the
bridge.
I
was
proud.
O
If
I
lived
on
the
Punta
Gorda
side
of
the
bridge,
I
lived
in
Charlotte
County.
Nowadays,
that's
reversed.
If
you
live
on
the
port
charlotte
side
of
the
bridge,
you
live
in
Charlotte
County,
but
if
you
live
in
Punta
Gorda,
you
proudly
live
in
Punta
Gorda.
That's
my
experience
of
29
years
living
here
and
I
want
to
thank
the
city
and
the
citizens
for
turning
this
little
town
into
what
it
has
become.
It
is
a
destination
city.
O
I
can
state
that
from
being
a
Director
of
Sales
at
a
hotel,
I
get
the
people
that
come
in
and
when
I
asked
them,
why
are
they
within
our
community?
They
want
to
move
here;
they
want
to
look
at
it.
They
want
to
experience
it
they've
heard
about
it
from
their
friends
and
they
want
to
enjoy
it
themselves.
I
have
talked
to
people
that
moved
to
Treasure,
Island
and
coming
down
here
to
see
what
we
have
have
decided.
They
made
the
wrong
decision.
It's
not
about
just
the
cost
of
living.
O
It's
about
the
value
package
that
this
community
offers.
If
we
take
away
that
value
package
of
entertainment,
we're
going
to
cut
our
own
throats
within
the
community,
and
we
are
going
to
come
back
to
a
time
when
that
Sunseeker
resort
is
gonna,
have
Port,
Charlotte,
proud
and
Punta
Gorda
wishin.
We
done
something
about
it.
Thank
you.
Thank.
P
The
owner
of
CAM,
Realty
and
I'm
also
a
property
manager
for
the
Sun,
Life
Center
and
the
property
major
since
2011,
so
I
certainly
deal
with
15
residential
apartments
upstairs
than
2
or
3
floors
of
commercial
tenants.
So
trust
me,
I,
get
complaints
and
I
get
no
complaints
about
the
noise
of
the
downtown
music
I
even
sent
an
email
out
which
I
think
please
shared
with
you
just
specifically
asking
all
the
residents.
Does
anybody
have
a
problem
and
every
quite
a
few
of
the
residents
wrote
right
back
and
said?
P
P
Where
are
you
and
I'm
like
a
great
singer
tonight,
so
I
sit
there
and
I
work
and
it
doesn't
bother
me
in
the
least
and
and
nor
has
it
bothered
any
of
my
residents
or
my
commercial
tenants
used
to
be
back
when
it
went
till
I
think
one
in
the
morning
there
was
a
little
bit
of
an
issue,
but
not
since
not
since
11
o'clock
and
I
just
wanted
to
say
I
managed
from
Collier
County
to
Jacksonville,
so
we
have
over
2
million
square
feet.
This
is
the
coolest
community
that
I
manage.
Thank
you.
K
Good
morning,
the
music
is
very
important
for
downtown,
but
we
also
understand
the
complaints
of
the
other.
We
have
sent
out
letters
to
everyone
of
our
band
people
that,
if
they
don't
keep
it
at
a
level
when
they're
told
to
bring
it
down
that
they
will
no
longer
be
allowed
to
play
there,
so
we
want
to
get
along
with
all
the
community.
You
know
it's.
Q
Just
want
to
say
that
music
is
very
important
to
us.
We
have
music,
seven
nights
a
week,
an
outdoor
patio.
Well,
we
do
only
start
music
in
the
summer,
from
6
to
9
and
in
season
from
7
to
10,
except
for
on
Friday
and
Saturday,
which
most
people
don't
have
to
get
up
and
go
to
work
on
Saturday
morning.
So
we
like
to
have
the
music
there.
It
brings
us
business
and
it
brings
all
of
us
business.
Everybody
down
here
need
music.
Thank
you
guys
and.
R
What
the
problem
is
most
of
these
is
the
level
of
sound.
How
much
is
that
it's
measured
in
decibels,
and
since
today's
music
speakers
and
amplifiers
are
getting
a
much
louder.
This
is
an
issue
and
it
should
be
addressed.
Most
cities
do
have
a
level
100
decibels,
110
decibels
listening
to
it
for
a
1/2
hour,
go
to
damage
your
ears.
We
have
to
be
responsible
and
most
of
the
issues
caused
by
how
loud
the
sources.
R
C
S
S
There
was
a
time
in
my
life
where
I
didn't
want
to
hear
noise
and
I
didn't
want
to
have
neighbors,
so
I
moved
out
off
Washington
Loop
and
build
a
house
on
five
acres
enjoyed
it
loved
the
peace
and
quiet
I
decided
after
having
my
little
one
that
we
wanted
our
family
to
be
a
part
of
the
community
and
embrace
what
was
down
here
so
four
years
ago
we
bought
a
house
here
locally
in
the
historic
section
we
use
our
community
every
single
day.
S
Part
of
my
favorite
things
are
the
fact
that
I
can
take
my
child
who's
eight
now
and
go
down
to
the
local
restaurants
like
Leroy's
or
fisherman's
village.
We
go
by
bike
skateboards,
whatever
she
decides.
That
day,
when
I
switched
from
five
acres
of
silence
to
downtown
I,
totally
expected
to
hear
fire
trucks,
neighbors,
music
and
noise.
S
It
was
part
of
the
fact
that
you
would
be
in
a
busy
or
entertainment
district
I
just
want
to
say
we
do
have
a
lot
of
other
awesome
communities
that
are
55
and
older,
that
are
noise,
controlled,
there's
different
places
within
Punta
Gorda
for
residents
to
live
where
the
entertainment
district
we
specifically
live
here
for
the
entertainment,
I
left,
five
acres,
so
I
could
be
a
part
of
the
noise,
be
surrounded
by
it
and
we
have
enjoyed
every
moment
of
it
sense.
That's
all.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
T
Good
morning,
good
morning,
Council,
my
name
is
Bill
dreiberg
I'm,
a
resident
of
PGI
I,
moved
here
in
the
90s
back
when
you
could
roll
a
bowling
ball
down,
Marian
Avenue
at
9
o'clock
at
night
and
not
hit
a
thing
and
the
Business
Alliance.
Now
you
call
them
charettes.
They
undertook
the
the
position
of
interviewing
the
people
from
PGI
why
they
didn't
come
downtown
so
kind
of
give
you
some
historical
value,
come
back
then
and
what
they
found.
T
It
kind
of
surprised
this
that
people
were
coming
through
Punta
Gorda,
getting
on
75
driving
up
the
st.
Armands
Circle.
Let's
save
the
music
up
there
going
into
the
shops
having
some
ice
cream
coming
back,
driving
through
Punta
Gorda
again,
but
not
stopping
so
the
undertook
then
that
they
need
to
grow
the
downtown
area
and
in
a
good
friend
of
ours,
at
Duck,
armor-all
opened
up
River
City
in
this
identity.
That's
where
the
first
music
was
inside.
T
That
was
with
Al
Holland
and
the
platters,
and
then
maybe
open
up
Rivas,
which
is
now
Italia,
and
then
the
good
people
from
Naples
come
up
and
open
up
the
turtle
club.
They
tried
to
keep
the
integrity
of
that
building
alive
by
using
the
bricks.
If
you
remember
correctly,
they
found
out
the
hard
way
that
that
cement
was
made
with
seawater
back
then
and
all
that
the
walls
collapsed,
but
to
their
credit
they
saved
all
their
bricks,
cleaned
them
and
put
them
back
up,
and
also
in
the
back
of
that
restaurant.
T
This
is
just
not
me
talking
again
sure
you
get
your
Chamber
stuff
will
tell
you
the
same
thing.
We
get
a
ton
of
people
from
Northport.
Northport
has
no
downtown
area
and
they
come
down
here
now
to
eat
in
our
restaurant
to
eat
and
listen
to
our
music.
Our
music
keeps
this
place
alive.
So
when
you
get
those
bands
downtown,
we
get
the
block
party
and
all
the
rest
of
those
things
it's
great
for
our
community.
They
do
a
great
job
for
us
and
so
I
hope
that
you
wouldn't
go
down
that
path.
T
C
U
Bruce
Lashley
and
I'm
here
to
support
all
the
restaurants
in
downtown
Punta
Gorda,
and
this
vibrant
community
of
ours
start
off
right.
I
do
want
to
thank
the
City
Council,
because
every
time
an
issue
comes
up,
you
guys
do
a
great
job
of
looking
at
both
sides,
the
issue
and
Nancy.
You
said
the
beginning,
you
guys
listened
to
everybody
and
you
do
and
and
it's
great
that
we
have
a
council,
that's
open,
minded
and
listens
to
you
know
both
sides
of
every
issue
and
I
know.
U
That's
true
and
I've
been
part
of
both
sides
of
all
the
issues
and
and
I
know
all
the
citizens
appreciate
they
all
feel
included.
You
know
in
this
in
this
deal
here
you
know
we
have
a
very
vibrant
downtown
as
everybody
knows
it
and
we
have
a
vibrant
downtown
because
of
you
and
the
Dyess
up
here
in
the
community.
U
I
everybody
worked
together
and
we
have
like
Bill
said:
we've
turned
this
town
around
in
the
last
1012
years,
and
I
have
friends
that
visit
from
Fort
Myers
I
had
friends
that
were
in
town
for
my
Sunday
night
and
they're,
like
wow.
We've
never
been
here
before
this.
Why
can't
you
guys
come
to
Fort
Myers
and
do
this
in
Fort
Myers?
You
know
this
is
amazing
what
you
guys
done.
U
You
know
and
and
I
had
friends
from
Naples
here
week
before
that
same
thing,
like
we
didn't
know,
Punta
Gorda
had
all
of
this,
and
people
are
just
blown
away
by
our
vibrant
community
and
I.
Just
don't
think
we
should
do
anything
to
take
that
away.
We've
all
worked
so
hard.
We've
got
our
time,
our
passion
and
our
in
our
investments
into
the
Punta
Gorda.
So
you
know
please
consider
this.
You
know
really
hard
because
I
I
like
the
way
it
is
and
then
one
more
thing.
U
Let's
talk
about
the
age
group
that
enjoys
Punta
Gorda.
These
are
not
spring
breakers.
These
are
people
that
are
in
a
retirement
age.
When
you
go
to
when
you
go
to
any
restaurant
in
town,
you
see
a
people
from
usually
twenty
five
to
eighty
five,
the
majority
of
people
are
semi,
retired
or
retired.
These
are
not
spring
breakers
out.
Trying
to
get
in
trouble
met,
trying
to
make
noise.
These
are
people
enjoying
their
retirement
years.
U
Having
fun
I'm,
62
years
old
and
I
would
say
the
good
part
that
people
they're
older
than
me
having
fun
and
I.
You
know
I,
probably
one
of
the
young
ones
and
most
established
I,
keep
thinking
our
towns
getting
younger,
but
I
think
I'm
just
getting
older,
but
no
it's
a
great
community
and
it's
not
Spring
Breakers
out
there
trying
to
cause
problem
is
people
enjoying
their
retirement
life
and
yeah.
U
You
know
and
I
just
I,
just
think
that
you
know
we've
got
something
going
good
and
maybe
some
things
to
be
tweaked
once
in
a
while.
Maybe
some
people
but
I
think
it's
just
a
phone
call
to
the
owner
and
saying
hey
you
know,
maybe
you
could
do
this
to
do
that.
I,
don't
think
we
need
ordinances,
I,
don't
think
we
need
rules,
I,
think
we're
complicating
it
and
I
think
it's
just
sitting
down
with
the
owner
of
establishment.
U
If
someone
is
a
little
bit
a
line
just
talking
to
them,
I
know
all
the
owners
at
all.
You
know,
friends
of
mine
and
and
there's
competitors
as
business
partners
as
friends,
and
we
we
all
want
the
same
thing.
We
want
a
vibrant
partner
and
we're
all
very
happy
the
progress
that
we
made.
Thank
you
thank.
V
C
W
Good
morning
morning
my
name
is
Rita
Beach
and
I
moved
to
Gordo
four
years
ago,
from
San
Francisco,
California
and
I've
been
a
professional
musician
for
fifty
five
years.
I
thought
perhaps,
when
I
came
to
Florida,
that
I
wouldn't
start
working
again
and
heck
I'm
young,
so
I'll
be
74
in
June
and
I'm
still
playing
three
to
four
nights
a
week
and
at
all
the
wonderful
venues
that
you
have
in
this
community
and
I've
been
working
steady
for
the
last
two
me
like
when
I
first
started
in
music.
W
My
dad
knew
it
was
time
to
go
to
bed
because
I
was
getting
ready
to
go
out
and
play
music
any
old
days.
You
work
9:00
to
2:00,
and
so
we
have
to
be
careful
about
setting
a
time
that
we're
cutting
things
off
because
nobody
goes
out
to
have
a
bad
time.
People
go
out
to
have
a
good
time,
and
if
people
are
having
a
great
time,
I've
been
known
to
play
a
half
an
hour
over
and
just
let
them
keep
dancing
and
having
a
good
time.
W
So
it's
easy
to
say:
well,
that's
reasonable,
we'll
cut
it
off
at
nine
o'clock!
Well,
that's
not
always
reasonable.
You
know,
like
and,
and
your
crowd
regulates
your
volume
as
much
as
any
ordinance
could
regulate
it.
If
I
look
around
and
people
are
having
to
literally
lean
into
each
other
to
hear
they're,
saying,
I
know
I'm
a
little
too
loud
and
I'm
gonna
back
it
down.
So
common
sense
has
to
rule
on
your
volume.
W
You
know,
bands
get
excited,
we
get
saturated
in
our
ears
and
and
we'll
get
a
little
loud,
but
it's
it's
simply
a
matter
of
the
owner
coming
up
and
see
them
back
it
off
a
little
bit
or
it's
simply
a
matter
of
the
crowd
telling
you.
You
know
you're
killing
me
you
know
and,
and
you
back
it
down,
because
we're
professionals
that's
what
we
do
for
a
living
and
I
still
do
it
to
supplement
my
social
security
and
I
love,
Punta
Gorda.
Thank
you.
W
C
X
X
We
know
that
it
sometimes
music
can
get
loud
and,
like
the
former
lady
just
said,
but
to
get
the
crowds
in
and
to
keep
them
there
and
to
keep
them
enjoying
it.
We
have
to
really
consider
our
community
and
what
it
stands
for
and
right
now,
I
grew
up
here
born
and
raised.
The
Sandlin
house
is
my
great
uncle's
house,
and
the
Pinal
Gorda
block
party
supports
all
the
nonprofits
in
the
area
and
the
children,
so
we
really
want
to
have
our
community
stay
the
way
it
is.
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank
you.
Y
Y
Personally,
it's
financed
through
this
organization,
this
quasi
governmental
organization
and
put
it
right
out
of
their
tax
bill,
and
so
some
of
these
people
that
are
hearing
the
combination
of
music,
not
any
one
particular
place
from
both
sides,
which
increases
the
decibel
level
of
my
house.
But
I
can't
say
it's
this
one
can't
say
it's
that
one.
It's
kind
of
a
combination
if
I
were
to
upgrade
my
windows
I'd.
Have
that
perfect
silence?
So
this
could
be
a
program
where
the
city
could
look
at
this
program.
Y
Y
Z
Not
very
late
and
I
will
tell
you
the
fire
department,
the
police,
department
and
I'll
turn
this
as
a
witch-hunt
at
that
time
to
actually
get
the
music
away
from
fishermen's
village.
At
the
time,
music
has
become
very
much
a
part
of
fisherman's
village
and
very
much
a
part
of
our
downtown
growing
community.
So
I
support
all
of
the
comments
made
today.
Z
Z
Don't
remember
your
name,
but
you
had
you
from
Dean's
and
they,
if
it's
too
loud,
they
control
it
within
there,
because
there's
only
so
much
that
people
can
stand
within
the
restaurant,
so
I
support
all
of
my
fellow
business
people
and
I'm
so
happy
that
they
all
showed
up
today
in
force
and
that's
good,
and
so
please
listen
to
what
they
say
and
they
are
all
professionals
and
they
want
to
live
in
a
community
that
is
valid
it's
between
business
and
our
community.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
AA
My
name
is
Michael
Heyman
and
I'm
here
wearing
two
hats.
This
morning,
I'm
here
I've
been
asked
by
the
board
of
directors
for
the
Punta
Gorda
chamber
to
come
and
bring
the
message
that
the
Punta
Gorda
chamber
does
not
support
any
changes
to
our
current
noise
ordinance
that
we
believe
that
working
with
the
businesses,
informally
and
continuing
a
dialogue
with
them
informally
is
the
best
way
to
deal
with.
AA
This
I
also
come
wearing
a
hat
of
someone
who's
been
here
since
1960,
and
so
I've
seen
the
changes
in
ton
of
Gorda
and
we
do
have
a
vibrant
downtown
in
a
way
that
we
did
not
use
to.
There's
been
a
big
reaction
to
to
even
the
bringing
up
for
discussion,
this
notion
of
other
ordinances,
because
there's
a
sensitivity
out
there
from
my
perspective
and
I.
AA
We
saw
with
the
dislocation
of
the
guitar
army
because
of
construction
for
a
year
and
then
the
roll
out
as
it
came
back
and
the
changes
and
the
difference
that
that
there
was
negative
impacts
and
continue
to
be
negative
impacts
upon
the
music
at
the
park.
It's
not
that
it's
been
killed,
but
it's
not
the
same.
AA
It's
not
as
vibrant
as
it
used
to
be
and
when
the
city's
talks
about
starting
looking
and
talking
about
something
that
gets
people's
tension
because
unintended
consequences
can
come
and
that's
what
we're
here
to
ask
you,
please
don't
and
John
I
love
you
and
Bonnie
your
fine
folks,
but
and
people
who
live
there
in
the
in
the
edges
of
the
commercial
district.
You
live,
you
get
the
benefit
of
being
close
to
the
commercial
district
and
you
get
some
of
the
burdens
of
it
and
that's
just
the
way
that
life
is
I.
AA
Wake
up
in
the
morning
to
the
sound
of
the
Jets
roaring,
the
house
I
get
I
75
as
it
cranks
up.
The
train
comes
by
I
can
hear
the
football
stadium
when
it's
when
it's
Friday
nights
and
the
cannons
go
off
and
such
as
that.
The
where
you
live
has
effect
upon
what
you're
going
to
be
subjected
to
orally
you
have
to
once
you
don't
like
it,
then
that's
you
start
dwelling
on
it
and
you
don't
like
it
and
that's
all
you're
gonna
hear
that's
a
reality.
Don't
don't
give
voice
to
that
problem?
AA
C
C
A
A
AB
Hello,
so
I
just
want
to
say:
I
live
directly
across
the
street
from
a
restaurant
that
has
loud
noise
all
the
time,
but
I
have
been
very
fortunate
and
very
lucky
that
it
does
not
bother
me
at
this
point.
I
will
say
things
did
escalate
during
the
block
party
and
the
reason
being
was
because
everybody
was
in
competition.
The
noise
in
my
house,
the
noise
level,
was
unbelievable,
but
it
was
the
block
party
I
understood
and
we
were
good.
AB
I
do
have
small
children
and
they
do
go
to
school
and
I
do
have
a
problem
with
noise
levels,
no
on
school
nights,
but
all
I
have
to
do
is
call
someone
and
it
has
been
remedied.
Every
time
never
had
to
call
the
police
thank
God,
but
it's
been
remedied
every
time
so
I
as
somebody
that
lives
right
there
want
to
tell
you
that
I
am
fine
with
the
way
it
is
right
now.
AB
AB
We
think
Punta
Gorda
is
wonderful
and
we
just
want
you
to
know
that
we
still
support
everything
that
you
have
supported
with
the
grass
etc
and
then
I
have
one
last
thing
to
say,
because
there's
been
a
lot
of
stuff
in
the
paper
about
this
and
it
bothers
me
a
lot
every
time
someone
complains
about
west
red
Esplanade,
which
is
where
I
live.
We
are
all
blanketed
together.
You
cannot
blanket
us
together.
I
have
no
problem
with
the
pickleball
noise.
AB
AC
Twelve
years,
almost
now
and
I
just
know
from
everyone
who
comes
in
there
different
places,
I
have
people
who
come
from
Palmetto
I
have
people
who
come
from
Fort
Myers
I've
for
the
last
plenty
of
years
that
come
and
stay
at
the
wyvern
and
all
the
different
hotels
around
that
come
specifically
for
this
music
that
come
to
enjoy
the
music,
and
during
the
week
we
did
lower
our
times
down.
So
now
we
just
pretty
much
play
to
a
pretty
good
time.
I
mean
10,
11
o'clock.
AC
You
know
you
can't
people
don't
come
out
until
8
9
o'clock
to
even
enjoy
music.
You
know
nobody's
there
at
five
o'clock
right
when
they
get
out
of
work
to
enjoy
and
listen
to
music.
They
come
out
after
they've
done
all
the
things
they
need
to
do.
Get
a
babysitter
put
their
kids
to
sleep.
Whatever
the
case
may
be,
that's
when
they
come
out
to
enjoy
the
music
so
to
have
it
lower
any
lower
than
it
is,
is
pretty
unreasonable.
On
top
of
it,
anytime,
we've
ever
gotten
a
call
or
gotten
anybody.
AC
Ever
they
do
on
a
Friday
night,
you
know
when
normal
people
don't
even
have
to
go
to
work
Saturday
morning
you
know
early,
so
we
still
tell
the
band's
hey.
Can
you
please
lower
it
down
and
everything
like
that,
so
this
is
kind
of
messing
with
our
livelihood
to
our
bar
us
bartenders
and
businesses,
and
everything
like
that
to
lower
that,
because
that's
what's
drawing
the
people
to
Punta
Gorda,
that's
what's
drawing
I'm
here
to
our
businesses,
so
I
just
ask
that
we
don't
change
anything
right
now.
Thank.
