Description
Description
A
B
Heavenly
Father,
we
come
before
you
today
with
a
special
request
for
our
guidance.
Today,
your
council
select
a
new
mayor,
and
first
we
welcome
our
also
our
new
councilmember.
We
ask
that
you
guide
those
voting
in
the
election
process
to
the
ways
of
clear
thinking
and
adherence
to
a
purpose
above
themselves.
As
we
approach
the
celebration
of
Veterans
Day,
we
ask
that
you
make
us
mindful
of
the
sacrifices
made
by
our
servicemen
and
women
and
their
families
for
the
service
of
their
country.
B
We
also
ask
that
you
keep
it
those
presently
on
active
duty
in
a
war
zone
under
the
loving
care
protecting
them
returning
him
safely
to
the
bottom
prisms
of
their
families.
And
finally,
we
ask
that
you
open
our
eyes
to
all
the
beauty
of
your
works,
that,
by
rejoicing
in
your
whole
creation,
we
may
learn
to
serve
you
with
gladness,
amen.
B
C
First
thing
that
we'll
do
is
announce
the
results
of
the
election
so
for
the
November
6th,
2018
general
election
for
the
city
of
Punta
Gorda
district
2.
We
have
Debbie
Kerry
51.6
8%
with
5565
votes
and
Rachel
Keesling
48
point
three:
two
percent,
with
five
thousand
two
hundred
and
three
votes:
congratulations,
miss
Carrie.
A
D
E
F
D
G
G
G
B
H
And
they
continue
that
their
Jazz
Band
legacy
with
some
of
the
finest
musicians
in
the
world
and
whereas
the
Commodores
mission
includes
public
concerts,
national
concert
or
ceremonial
support
and
honoring
veterans,
jazz
education
classes
and
protocol
performances
for
high-level
military
and
civilian
government
officials
and
whereas
the
United
States,
Navy,
Band,
jazz
ensemble,
is
performing
a
concert
at
the
Charlotte
Performing
Arts
Center
on
November
11,
2008,
teen
and
7:00
p.m.
now.
Therefore,
the
City
Council
for
the
city
of
front
of
order.
H
Florida
does
hereby
proclaim
November
7th
2018
as
US
Navy
jazz
band
a
and
extends
a
warm
welcome,
and
special
thanks
and
honoring
the
community.
With
its
concert
and
sharing
the
the
musical
talents.
Passions
Uli
has
adopted
in
a
regular
session
on
the
stage
it
was
designed
by
Gary
wine.
Vice
mayor
I'm,
presenting
this
to
Frank
Mazur.
I
On
behalf
of
the
Military
Officers
Association
I'd
like
to
thank
the
council
for
this
Proclamation
I'm,
not
sure
many
people
realize
that
Charlotte
County
has
23,000
veterans
and
on
a
population
basis,
concentration
basis
with
the
second
highest
in
the
country,
and
that's
pretty
amazing.
So
it's
really
pleasing
to
have
the
Navy
band
here,
particularly
on
November
11th,
to
salute
our
veterans
as
well
as
salute
our
citizens.
These
resolutions
mean
a
lot
to
them
and
I
really
thank
you
for
it.
So
have
a
good
day.
Oh
I
next
concert
after
this
one.
This
is
a
solo.
I
G
J
Good
morning,
everyone,
my
name,
is
Melissa
Reichert
I
am
the
communications
manager
for
the
city
of
Punta
Gorda,
and
we
have
one
of
our
new
marketing
tools
ready
to
show
you
today.
What
this
website
is
geared
towards
is
resident
attraction,
business
attraction
and
visitor
attraction
and
I
think
you'll
find
it
just
a
beautiful
representation
of
this
wonderful
community
that
we
live
in
so
I'll
turn
it
over
to
Elliot
for
my
aqua
to
walk
you
through
the
site.
L
K
K
K
It
was
unveiled
at
the
State
of
the
City.
It
has
been
shared
with
important
community
partners,
including
the
Chamber
of
Commerce
and
team
Punta
Gorda,
and
it
has
been
rolled
out
citywide,
so
rolling
it
out
through
the
city
was
the
second
phase
of
the
project
once
it
was
developed
now
we're
on
to
the
third
phase,
which
is,
according
to
the
strategic
plan,
marketing
the
city's
identity.
This
website
is
a
critical
component
to
that
it
is
the
showpiece
feature
as
to
how
people
will
learn
about
the
city
of
Punta
Gorda.
K
The
name
of
the
website
is
explore
Punta
Gorda,
and
that
is
going
to
be
the
name
of
the
campaign
and,
as
Melissa
mentioned,
we
have
three
goals
for
the
campaign.
One
is
to
attract
visitors
to
Punta
Gorda,
so
they
could
learn
about
how
beautiful
the
city
is
come
here
for
vacations
enjoy
all
the
amenities
all
the
night
of
the
nature
of
the
harbor.
The
second
target
group
is
business
relocation,
people
that
are
looking
to
move
their
businesses
somewhere.
We
want
them
to
consider
Punta
Gorda.
We
want
the
Punta
Gorda
economy
to
thrive.
K
New
residents
to
keep
the
the
community
alive
and
vibrant
to
always
have
a
robust
base
of
residents
to
enjoy
all
the
amenities
and
the
businesses
that
are
here
so
I'm
gonna,
walk
you
through
the
website
spend
a
couple
of
minutes
just
highlighting
some
of
the
features
and
then
at
the
end
of
that,
go
through
a
couple
of
brief
bullet
points
as
to
where
we
go
from
here.
So
the
website
is
explore,
put
to
Gordan.
We
went
with
so
many
reasons
to
say.
K
Yes
and
again,
as
we
mentioned,
there
are
three
target
markets
that
we're
looking
for
we're
looking
for
people
that
are
interested
in
working
here,
people
that
are
interested
in
living
here
and
people
that
are
interested
in
visiting
here.
So
you
arrive
at
the
home
page
and
you're,
greeted
by
three
beautiful
pictures
of
the
city,
and
you
are
asked
to
select
which
one
of
those
three
buckets
you
find
yourself
in.
Are
you
looking
for
information
about
relocating
here
for
business
relocating
your
family
or
visiting
here?
Each
tab
has
what's
called
a
mega
drop-down.
K
K
K
There
is
brief
content,
a
brief
description
as
to
the
advantages
to
opening
a
business
in
Punta
Gorda,
and
then
you
will
see
several
menus
as
they
grow
towards
the
bottom
of
the
page,
and
these
menus
are
designed
to
provide
information
that
someone
looking
to
relocate
their
business
would
be
looking
for
available,
workforce
incentives
and
tax
advance
transportation.
What
kind
of
transportation
infrastructure
is
available
for
Punta
Gorda,
available
parcels
of
land,
highlighting
what
parcels
of
land
would
be
available
if
you're
interested
in
a
large
a
large
relocation,
then
there's
also
the
tab
living
here.
K
Once
you
drill
down
into
one
of
these
sections
and
I'll,
just
pick
arts
and
culture
again
more
imagery,
and
it
highlights
museums,
galleries,
professional
symphony
and
theater
talking
about
the
arts,
and
there
is
a
just
short
description,
more
beautiful
imagery
on
the
side
of
the
website
and
each
one
of
those
topics
also
highlights
that
also
want
to
highlight.
As
far
as
navigation
goes,
these
are
called
breadcrumbs.
K
So
if
you,
if
you
look
at
these
areas
here,
you
will
always
know
where
you
are
in
the
website
and
you'll
always
know
how
to
get
back
to
where
you
were.
This
represents
the
homepage,
then
you've
selected
the
work
here
option
and
now
you're
on
the
arts
and
culture
page.
So
if
you
ever
want
to
backtrack,
there's
easy
navigation
here
on
the
website.
K
Why
Punta
Gorda
a
little
bit
about
the
city's
history,
restaurants
and
nightlife,
music
and
fine
art
and
real
estate
information
for
people
looking
for
real
estate
information
just
again,
click
on
one
of
these
for
an
example,
restaurants
and
nightlife,
again
beautiful
imagery,
highlighting
people
enjoying
themselves
in
the
restaurant,
something
for
everyone,
description
of
the
restaurants
and
the
nightlife
here,
and
then
there's
always
an
option
on
the
side
to
click
the
tabs.
To
get
you
to
the
other
information
here
on
the
website.
Now.
K
This
website,
just
a
little
bit
of
description
as
to
who
the
target
audience
is
for
this
website.
This
does
not
replace
the
city
website.
The
city's
website
is
the
municipal
online
destination
for
the
city.
It
is
where
you
will
find
all
the
information
for
the
city.
It
will
find
all
the
information
that
residents
are
looking
for
all
the
information
that
current
business
owners
are
looking
for.
The
city
website
does
not
change.
Does
it
stays
exactly
where
it
is?
K
This
website
is
intended
to
be
a
marketing
tool
and
the
target
audience
is
people
or
are
people
that
are
not
here
yet,
so
this
website
will
be
marketed,
digitally
through
collateral
material
through
social
media
trying
to
entice
and
attract
people
that
are
not
here
already.
If
someone
finds
this
website
and
they're
looking
for
the
city
website,
there
is
always
a
link
on
the
bottom
of
every
page
says
looking
for
the
city
website,
click
right
here,
and
that
will
immediately
take
you
to
the
city's
website,
so
it
doesn't
replace
anything.
It
is
a
marketing.
K
This
is
a
it's
a
supplemental
marketing
tool
for
the
city.
The
other
thing
to
point
out
about
the
website
is
that
the
level
of
detail
of
this
is
not
intended
to
provide
everything
you
would
need
to
know
about
every
topic-
that's
on
there.
So,
for
instance,
if
we
go
into
the
work
here
section
and
we
click
on
annexation,
tax
rebates,
this
is
not
where
you
will
be
able
to
download
the
forms
to
qualify
for
an
annexation
tax
rebate.
K
This
is
a
place
where
you
will
be
enticed
to
learn
more
about
the
annexation
tax
rebates
for
the
city.
The
other
purpose
that
this
website
serves
is
we
want
to
drive
people
to
contact
the
city
to
have
that
personal
one-on-one
connection
with
people
here
in
the
city
with
city
staff,
so
city
staff
has
an
opportunity
to
build
those
relationships
with
people
that
are
seeking
to
either
move
here,
move
their
business
or
visit
here.
K
That
personal
connection
is
what
matters,
and
that
personal
connection
is
one
of
the
things
that
acqua
identified
at
the
beginning
of
the
process
was
something
that
was
so
important
and
that's
actually
and
melissa
is
actually
the
key
person.
So
she
is
the
contact
person
for
anyone.
Looking
for
further
information
on
any
of
the
three
buckets
and
that's
what's
important,
because
you
really
want
to
have
that
personal
one-on-one
contact,
we
don't
want
people
to
go
to
a
website,
and
this
is
the
only
thing
they
learn
about
the
city.
K
We
want
someone
talk
on
the
phone,
someone
to
say
come
on
down
check
us
out.
When
are
you
gonna
be
in
town?
Let
me
show
you
around.
Let
me
show
you
what
we've
got
it's
so
beautiful
check
out
put
to
go
to
pathways
check
out
our
Harbor
check
out
this
bit
you
this
beautiful
piece
of
land
where
you
might
be
able
to
relocate
your
business.
We've
got
some.
You
know
check
out
fisherman's
village,
that's
the
personal
contact
that
we
want
people
to
have
when
they're
interested
in
Punta
Gorda.
So
that
is
the
website
again.
K
The
web
address
is
explore.
Punta
Gorda
com.
We
invite
you
all
to
check
it
out.
It
is
easily
updatable
easily
changeable.
If
there's
new
information
that
we
want
to
put
on
the
website
that
can
be
done
within
a
day
or
two.
It's
a
very
simple
process.
If
we
wanted,
if
there's
another
amenity
that
we
felt
was
important
to
highlight,
we
can
put
it
on
there
very
quickly,
so
it's
it's
very
flexible
in
terms
of
its
ability
to
adapt
to
what
you
want
the
city's
public
face
to
be.
So.
K
Where
do
we
go
from
here
now
that
we've
got
the
website?
Our
plan
for
the
next
year
is
to
try
to
drive
as
much
traffic
to
this
website
as
possible.
We
are
going
to
be
embarking
on
a
digital
campaign
that
is
going
to
kick
off
in
January,
the
months
of
January
February
and
March.
It's
going
to
be
targeting
specific
markets
where
we
believe
people
are
coming
from
to
visit
Punta
Gorda.
We
have
found
that
the
greatest
the
greatest
treasure
trove
of
possible
possible
residents
and
business
owners
are
people
that
come
to
visit.
Punta
Gorda.
K
The
research
has
shown
that
that
a
tremendous
amount
of
people
come
here
for
vacation
absolutely
fall
in
love
with
the
place
and
decide
they
want
to
live
here.
So
we
feel
that
the
most
important
target
market
would
be
people
that
are
coming
to
visit,
Punta,
Gorda
and
once
they're
here
say
hey.
Why?
Why
stay
for
a
week?
Why
not
stay
for
a
lifetime?
This
check
us
out.
This
is
the
place
to
be
so
that
will
be
one
of
the
purposes
of
a
digital
campaign
through
January,
February
and
March.
K
There
are
a
lot
of
partners
here
that
that
have
already
invented
the
wheel
on
how
to
market
Punta
Gorda
the
visitor
and
conventions
Bureau
economic
development,
folks,
team,
Punta,
Gorda.
There
are
a
tremendous
amount
of
people
that
that
that
love
this
community
understand
how
to
market
this
community,
and
we
want
to
partner
with
them.
We
want
to
make
sure
that
they
have
our
collateral
materials.
K
So
when
the
VCB
is
pitching
Charlotte,
County
and
they're
handing
out
pamphlets
to
potential
visitors
about
the
great
places
to
go,
we
want
to
have
something:
that's
specific
to
Puente
Gorda,
to
bring
people
here.
So
that
will
be
part
of
the
plan
as
we
roll
it
out
over
the
next
12
months
and
again,
all
of
it
is
designed
to
drive
people
to
this
website
and
then
once
they
see
the
website,
they
call
Melissa
appreciate
it
happy
to
answer
any
questions.
E
Council
members
questions,
I
think
it's
very
nice.
However,
I'm
very
concerned
that
we
are
spreading
our
audience
between
two
domains
and
I.
Don't
like
that,
we're
doing
that
and
I've
been
I've
told
you
this
all
along.
We
went,
we
had
c
I
dot
punta
gorda
FL
us
we
had
p
Gorda
dot
whatever
us.
I
guess
it
was,
and
then
we
have
city
of
Punta,
Gorda,
FL,
comm
and
now
we've
got
another
website
and
I
think
it's
very
confusing
I
think
people
are
gonna,
go
to
this
website
and
think
this
is
the
city's
website
and
I.
E
G
K
There
I
mean
there
there.
There
are
a
couple
of
reasons
why
we
why
we
did
do
this,
that
one
of
them
was
because
this
is
a
the.
The
technical
reason
is,
first
of
all,
the
the
capabilities
of
the
city
website,
really
don't
allow
you
to
design
what
we
really
think
would
be
the
most
effective
marketing
tool,
which
is
the
beautiful
pictures,
the
movement,
the
the
display
of
the
website.
The
city
website
is
a
is
a
very
effective
functional
municipal
site
for
providing
all
the
information
that
all
the
residents
need.
K
But
this
is,
you
know,
obviously,
rather
than
think
of
this
as
a
website.
This
is
a
marketing
tool.
This
is
this
is
advertising,
and
it's
really
in
order
to
accomplish
what
we
want
to.
As
far
as
the
look
and
the
feel
and
and
the
beauty
and
being
able
to
display
all
the
all
the
information
it
just
wasn't
something
that
the
city
website
was
technically
capable
of
doing
so
we
went
with
this
this
also.
K
A
I
guess
in
that
vein,
is
there
a
way
that
in
the
top
there,
that
we
could
also
put
another
link
that
just
says
city
website
city
government
website
us
up
to
that
sort
so
that
if
they
do
come
here
that
they
have
a
because
you
do
that
further
into
the
body
from
the
lower
right
hand
and
I
understand
where
that
says.
You
know
when
you
get
to
be
our
age
you're
such
a
youngster,
but
when
you
get
to
be
our
age,
we're
not
as
technically
savvy.
A
K
E
Gary's
saying
if
this
this
does
not
imply
that
it's
a
city-owned
website,
even
though
it's
got
the
logo,
there's
a
lot
of
websites
that
have
our
logo
on
it.
This
does
not
give
you
the
indication,
the
positive
indication.
This
is
city-owned
website
and
so,
to
that
extent,
I
agree
with
Gary
I
think
we
should
have
something
at
the
top
of
the
page
that
that
says
you
know
this
is
this:
is
a
city-owned
web,
someone
somehow
word
it
so
that
it
tells
people
that
this
is
part
of
the
city,
so
this
is
official.
K
E
K
It
will
be
play
yeah.
You
can
be
placed
on
your
home
site
wherever,
wherever
you
know,
you
feel
it's
appropriate.
But
yes,
but
to
to
to
your
point
Councilwoman
absolutely
we
have
the
flexibility
of
putting
buttons
right
on
the
top.
As
far
as
saying
indicating
that
this
is
an
official
city
site
and
if
you
were
looking
for
the
municipal
site
click
here
week
that
can
be
done
very
easily
as
far
as
putting
a
link
to
the
city
site,
that's
also
something
that
we
have
talked
about.
We
think
that
that's
important
to
do.
G
G
Talking
now
years
ago,
2009
type
of
timeframe
we
talked
about.
We
wanted
to
change
the
city's
website
so
that
it
was
more
visitor
friendly
and
was
had
more
of
the
appeal
like
what
you're
talking
about,
and
it
was
an
iterative
process,
and
so
as
much
as
we
tried
the
last
time
we
redone
redesigned
the
website
we're
still
trying
to
get
there.
Some
understand.
N
G
A
Another
common
I
think
the
good
news
is,
is
that
this
is
an
easy
site
to
alter
as
we
go
along.
So
what's
gonna
happen,
I
suspect
is,
is
you
will
alter
it?
Based
on
the
conversation
we
have
will
get
a
chance
to
navigate
it
for
a
while
they're
going
to
come
back
to
you
again
and
ask
you
to
tweak
it
a
little
bit
more
and
so
forth.
B
and
it's
it's
gonna,
be
something
we'll
be
easily
to
evolve
and
to
row.
A
K
That's
one
of
the
advantages
so,
for
example,
Melissa
and
I
had
a
conversation
about
adding
a
special
section
about
punta
gorda
pathways.
So
that's
something
that
can
easily
we
design
a
page
for
that.
It's
linked
unto
the
lifestyle
section.
It's
linked
unto
the
outdoor
section,
wherever
we
want
to
put
it
and
it
can
be
done
very
easily,
I
put
it
on
there.
If
there's
a
picture
that
we
want
to
update,
changing
a
picture
takes
two
minutes.
So
it's
you
know,
it's
really
it's
easy
to
change
to
change
it.
K
G
G
F
K
First,
if
we
target
a
group
of
a
hundred
thousand-
and
we
get
you
know-
60,000
people-
obviously
we
won't,
but
that
would
be
a
huge
success.
If
you
target
a
hundred
thousand
and
we
get
six,
then
obviously
that's
not
a
success,
so
it
really
would
depend
on
where
we're
gonna
target
that
January
February
March
campaign.
F
N
G
Me,
yes,
if
you
are
nominated
for
a
board
or
a
committee,
now
is
the
time
for
you
to
introduce
yourself
to
the
City
Council
and.
G
F
G
O
Hopefully
some
of
you
most
of
you
all
of
you,
even
the
new
member.
We
realize
that
pickleball
continues
to
be
an
ongoing
problem
for
the
neighborhood
in
the
immediate
vicinity,
the
HOA,
and
it
really
does
require
some
mitigation.
The
pickleball
committee
did
a
significant
amount
of
research
on
ways
to
mitigate
this
problem
for
the
neighborhood,
and
we
came
to
the
final
conclusion.
O
If
this
impact
is,
is
a
negative
impact
on
quality
of
life,
significant
impact
on
quality
of
life
and,
in
some
cases,
a
profound,
profoundly
significant
impact
on
quality
of
life
for
those
who
live
with
this
in
the
neighborhood,
so
I'm
asking
those
that
are
capable
of
or
will
be,
making
and
tweaking
plans
for
the
West
End
of
the
park
to
take
this
into
consideration
that
it
does
require
action.
It's
not
going
to
be
mitigated
just
from
natural
flow
of
of
whatever
changes
are
made
without
some
input.
Thank
you.
G
P
Kelly
Gaylord
resident
regarding
the
historic
district
sign
toppers.
As
you
know,
our
current
toppers
are
in
very
bad
shape.
A
lot
of
them
are
missing
and
the
new
toppers
are
desperately
needed
and
it
really
will
help
to
define
our
entire
historic
district,
including
both
the
east
and
the
west
sides
of
the
city,
so
I
strongly
encourage
the
CRA
to
approve
them.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
M
If
we
really
are
interested
in
preserving
our
historic
values
and
the
historic
quality
of
our
community
I
strongly
suggest
that
we
approve
the
historic
Stoppers,
as
the
staff
has
laid
them
out,
one
of
the
things
and
as
I've
hurt
you
no
listen
to
the
marketing
one
of
the
things.
That's
very
special
about
Ponte
Gorda
is
its
unique
history,
and
so
because
we
are
a
southern
city
with
a
very
unique
history.
The
sign
toppers
and
showing
the
full
history
of
Ponte
Gorda
is
very
important.
So
I
strongly
encourage
you
to
support
that
I.

This
is
the
activity
at
the
marina,
the
number
of
slips
that
are
rented
out,
including
the
mooring
field
and
the
community
room.
We
always
compare
it
with
a
year
ago,
again,
marinas
doing
consistently
well
and
the
pump
out
vessel
one
of
the
points
we
look
at
gallons
pumped
and
you
can
see
that
October,
we
pumped
a
significant
amount
of
gallons
out
of
the
vessels
in
the
in
the
harbor
and
the
marina.
N
Herald

have
not
been
by
where
the
former

used
to
be
it's
now,
a
coffee

tea

they
opened
up
urge
you
to
stop
in
there
and
the
salon
tenant
continues
to
work
with
our
staff
on
the
contractor
registration
and
review
of
their
plans
so
that
they
get
in
there
and
reconstruct
the
place
to
open
up.
They
have
left
us
a
sizeable
deposit,
so
it
would
be
worth
it
for
them
to
do
the
work
so
haven't
the
curry.
Construction
hasn't
started
yet
the

N
G
N
L
N
Let
me
spend
a
little
time
on
the
harbor.
Walk,
spend
a
little
time
on
this
and
spend
a
little
time
on
the
next
one.
Let's
start
with
this
one.
First,
the
bid
package
for
the
area,
one
restroom
area,
one
restroom-
is
the
new
restroom
by
the
pavilions
that
we
just
rebuilt
in
Gilchrist
Park
area.
One
we
plan
to
start
construction.
If
we
get
a
decent
enough
bid
somewhere
in
the
January
February
time
frame,
it
will
not
affect
the
closing
of
any
park
facilities.
The
park
will
remain
open.
N
A
N
Run
out
of
town
or
something
anyways,
sorry
for
that,
so
the
restroom
will
start
construction,
hopefully
in
the
January
February
time
frame
and
again
the
park
will
remain
open.
It's
going
to
be
an
inconvenience
obviously,
but
we
want
to
get
that
started
as
soon
as
we
can.
So
it's
all
it's
on
the
street
and
hopefully
we'll
get
a
good
bit
in
bring
it
back
to
you
and
we
can
start
work.
Okay.
N
N
Why
are
we
saying
the
harbor
walk,
because
we
have
to
connect
the
harbor
walk
from
the
bay
front
center
to
where
it
ends
at
the
fishing
pier
there's
still
that
missing
link
or
if
we
have
the
contractor,
do
that
piece
first
and
be
done
with
it.
Then
the
harbor
walk
will
remain
open
for
everybody
to
use
throughout
the
rest
of
the
construction.
It
will
never
be
closed,
so
we
think
that's
at
least
maximizes
people's
ability
to
use
the
harbor
walk
during
the
rest
of
phase
2.
N
Then
we'll
have
the
contractor
go
in
do
phase
two
there's
going
to
be
closings
in
Phase
two.
We
just
need
to
be
aware
of
that.
Before
we
start
phase
two,
our
utility
crews
are
going
to
get
in
there
either
themselves
or
a
contractor
and
redo
the
utility
work
along
Retta.
We
always
like
to
do
that
utility
work
first
before
we
complete
reconfiguration
of
Retta.
So
that's
how
we
plan
to
do
it
again.
N
E
N
E
Okay
and
then
I
know
we
talked
about
it
in
our
in
our
briefing
meeting,
but
just
for
the
record,
the
temporary
restroom
that
is
currently
mid
Park
is
that
going
to
remain
in
place,
while
the
other
new
building
is
being
built.
Yes,
the
duration
of
the
time
that
it's
being
built,
so
we
have
facilities
at
that
end
of
the
park
too.
That's
why
we're
trying
to
face.
N
H
Can
the
residence
be
assured
that
once
construction
begins
to
say,
April
or
May
that
it
will
be
close
enough,
that
they
can
have
a
break
from
a
pickleball
for
a
minute
because
there's
a
point
to
which
we
do
it?
Remember
that
we
are
neighborly
and
partner.
Gord
is
Punta
Gorda
we
and
we
love
each
other,
and
we
know
that
we're
harming
each
other.
We
have
to
cease
that
behavior.
H
At
this
point,
our
residents
are
really
impacted
very
greatly,
and
this
is
a
very
good
opportunity
to
let
residents
have
a
break,
especially
with
the
pickle
plex
opening
Jamie
I
just
want
the
residents
to
know
they'd
be
able
to
have
at
least
a
breather
where
we
can
think
about.
You
know
the
how
much
impact
after
the
park
is
finished.
They
wouldn't
have.
It
was
very.
Very
important.
People
are
unable
to
sell
their
homes,
and
people
are
axiomatically
affected
by
this
and
know
I'm
the
one
attended
this,
but
this
is
the
result.
This
is
reality.
N
H
N
A
Just
wanted
the
comment
just
for
the
record
and
for
the
reiteration
we
have
had
one
point
extensively
investigated
possibilities
for
reducing
the
din
from
the
pickleball,
with
equipment
with
sound
barriers
etc,
and
we
didn't
have
the
ability
of
anticipating
the
pickle
Plex
being
a
real
entity.
So
I
think
this
is
something
that
here
in
the
near
future,
wouldn't
have
to
I.
Just
we
should
in
earnest
reopen
the
discussion.
I,
don't
think
that
we
should
probably
ban
pickleball
from
the
park,
but
we
may
be
able
to
restrict
it.
A
We
may
be
able
to
do
some
other
things,
but
some
of
the
major
and
we
should
revisit
them,
even
though
I
think
we'll
find
that
they're
not
paddled
will
some
of
the
major
sound
restrictions
because
they
were
going
to
interview
with
views
of
the
harbour,
etc.
But
I
think
this
is
some
discussion.
It
needs
to
be
reintroduced
here
in
the
near
future
and
on
how
we
can
temper
the
situation
as
best
we
can.
G
Yeah,
the
pickle
ball
or
the
pickle
Plex
is
finishing
the
permitting
process
right
now.
So
it's
going
to
be
able
to
start
construction
very
soon
and
anticipating
that
we
have
courts
available
by
by
valentine's
day,
because
there
is
a
tournament
already
scheduled
later
in
February,
and
so
we've
got
a
time
schedule,
but
there'll
be
sixteen
courts,
and
so
it's
going
to
and
there'll
be
no
charge
to
play.
G
There
will
be
a
sound
barrier
there
between
the
courts
and
the
collegiate
high
school
with
with
landscaping
in
front
of
them,
so
that
you
really
don't
see
the
screen,
but
so
and
they'll
be
sound
engineer
to
help
make
sure
that
the
that
the
sound
is
not
perceptible
and
inside
the
building.
So
but
it's
you
know,
so
that
is
something
that
we
can
certainly
discuss
at
the
pleasure
of
the
Commission
and
the
City
Council.
G
Additionally,
it's
I
think
I
talked
with
Howard
about
this.
As
the
construction
proceeds
there'll
have
to
be
a
closure
of
the
pickleball
courts
in
the
area
and
I
think
it's
going
to
help
direct
traffic.
If
it
already
doesn't
the
pickle,
Plex
and
and
the
perhaps
you
know,
that's
a
excellent
time
first.
A
Comment
that
I
would
have
shooted
included
before
in
previous
console.
This
console
has
supported
the
pickle
Plex
we've
agreed
in
in
console
to
actually
sponsor
one
of
the
courts
that
was
kind
of
in
the
the
vein
of
being
able
to
promote
pickleball
within
our
our
general
community.
At
the
same
time,
with
the
I
of
being
able
to
temper
it
and
Nancy
has
done
a
great
job.
A
That
means
to
say,
mayor,
crafty
has
done
a
great
job
as
being
the
interface
with
the
pickleball
people
and
I
just,
but
we
we've
been
committed
as
a
council
and
as
a
city
also
to
promote
that
with
one
of
the
ideas
of
being
able
to
temper.
What's
what
will
occur
in
the
future.
Unfortunately,
there's
not
a
quick
fix
for
what's
going
on
a
Gilcrest,
but
we
have
been
trying
to
address
it
and.
L
E
H
Let
the
community
know
at
the
last
at
the
Taurus
development
council
meeting,
which
practically
attended
with
the
pickleball
group
that
we
actually
voted
to
asked
to
do
a
recommendation
to
the
board
accounting
commissioners
to
actually
fund
B,
the
remaining
phase,
two
of
the
pickle
Plex,
and
so
when
that
comes
up.
Actually,
our
support
at
that
count
at
that
at
the
County
Commission
meeting
won't
be
appreciated
because
we
do
want
the
Commission
to
be
able
to
fund
this
other
and.
G
That
would
expand
to
the
pickle
plex
10
to
32
courts
and
I.
Think
that's
one
of
the
things
that
it's
going
to
take
that
volume
of
traffic
away.
It's
going
to
take
a
lot
of
the
competitive
nature
of
what's
going
on
it
gilchrist
away.
So
it's
all
of
the
it's
not
immediate,
but
I.
You
know
hear
the
the
issue
and
and
certainly
looking
for
all
the
possible
solutions
that
we
have.
That
can
I
think.
A
As
we
develop
this
conversation,
one
things
we're
going
to
need
to
do
because
there
is
a
large
contingent
to
have
expressed
they
want
to
play
here.
They
like
the
ambiance
they
like,
so
we
may
as
a
council,
have
to
also
take
the
bull
by
the
horns,
as
they
say
to
do
some
restriction,
restrictive
measures
at
this
location,
but
also
partly
to
force
the
pickle
Plex
to
to
get
that
traffic.
Also,
because
there's
people
that
are
just
I
mean
we've
even
had
people
say.
