Description
A
No,
no,
they
budget
each
year,
a
certain
allocation.
We
can't
spend
16
around
here.
I
can't
do
it.
If
we
could
that's
what
they
would
elegant.
Okay,
the
four
million
dollars
we're
going
to
get
reimbursed
from
the
state.
We
will
reimburse
the
authority
when
an
if
we
get
those
payments
from
the
state.
So
if
the
state
pays
us
a
million
dollars,
we
turn
around
and
give
the
authority
in
them
only
until
we
get
that
payment
in.
A
Do
we
then
reimburse
the
authority
up
to
4
million
the
final
million
and
a
half
that
goes
to
the
authority
will
only
be
given
to
the
authority
when
Swift
mud
allocates
the
last
budget
allocation
for
our
project
for
the
budget
on
an
annual
basis.
So
if
that
last
allocation
comes
three
years
from
now
again,
we
can't.
B
A
It
all
in
here
and
whatever
that
amount
is
as
soon
as
swift
mud
budgets
it
and
approves
it,
we're
assured
of
getting
it.
We
then
provide
the
authority
that
last
name,
that
is
the
security
we
have
built
into
this
contract,
and
we
would
like
your
conceptual
approval
because
we
need
to
get
the
authority
moving
on
this.
F
A
Took
out
a
previous
reference
or
request
from
the
Water
Authority
at
the
city,
hey
anything
over
the
12
million
dollars.
That's
forget
it!
That's
not!
We
took
that
out
it's
off
the
table
if
the
project
from
the
Water
Authority
after
they
bid
it
out,
comes
in
over
12
million.
Then
it's
up
to
the
water
authority
to
figure
out
how
to
pay
for
it
good
with
that
now,
if
they
want
to
back
away
from
the
project,
they
can
always
do
that.
That's
their
right,
but
I,
don't
think
the
city
should
pay
anything
over.
There.
I
think.
D
We
have
consensus,
definitely
that
we're
not
going
to
pay
any
additional
more
money,
I
mean
here
they
are.
We
have
worked
very
very
hard
and
our
staff
and
our
lobbyists
are
very
hard
to
negotiate
with
the
state
funding
for
the
four
million
dollars
from
the
state
which
is
going
to
be
going
directly
to
that
pipeline,
and
then
we
also
agreed
to
give
them
another
two
million.
They
have
no
skin
in
the
game.
At
this
point,
so
I
think
that
this
is
in
terms
of
our
moving
forward.
D
D
G
A
A
Can
always
call
a
special
meeting
if
they
have
to
so
that's
how
I
thought
they
met
monthly
but
I,
guess
they
don't
so.
D
E
D
F
H
A
Have
communicated
with
tougher
through
Jerry
through
our
lobbyists,
Jerry
balls
are
lobbyists.
We
have
communicated,
he
has
communicated
to
them,
but
they
need
to
get
moving
on
this
and
he
because
Swift
mud
is
waiting.
Southwest,
Florida,
Water,
Management
District
is
waiting
for
this
draft
agreement
because
they
haven't
brought
this
in
front
of
their
board.
Yet.
A
G
Two
very
quick
things:
Tom
Jackson
for
the
record.
The
city
manager
is
right
until
very
recently,
they
did
meet
monthly,
that
the
Peace
River
board,
but
because
they
don't
have
any
projects
going
like
expansions
or
anything
they've
decided
to
go
to
every
two
months
meeting
and
I
do
believe
they
meet
in
october.
I
will
verify
that.
Secondly,
our
swiftlet
application
is
due
by
october,
the
third
so,
if
approved
today,
I'll
get
it
out
either
today
or
tomorrow.
E
D
D
D
D
D
I
D
A
A
D
Is
also
one
other
thing
on
page
13
I
know
that
we
incorporated
the
ad
a
committee
previously
in
terms
of
our
collaborative
efforts,
but
I
thought
we
should
also
add
it
to
page
13
in
terms
of
marketing
the
groups
that
we
would
incorporate
there.
We
have
a
whole
list
of
different
groups
that
we
interact
with
as
partners
to
promote
marketing
and
I
thought.
We
should
also
then
incorporate
their
the
ad
a
committee.
E
D
E
H
D
A
Sale
had
gone
through,
the
proceeds
are
right
now
in
our
damage
recovery
fund,
storm
fund
reserves.
We
would
like
formal
approval
to
place
it
there.
It's
about
117,000
dollars,
and
previously
we
budgeted
we
allocated
budget
reality.
We
did
we
allocated
and
placed
877
thousand
from
the
BP
oil
spill,
so
we're
getting
close
to
a
million
when
fishermen
village
finishes
their
due
diligence
and
we
get
a
check
from
them.
A
We
probably
will
have
an
agenda
item
to
use
somewhere
in
the
january/february
time
frame
and
we
can
discuss
what
we
may
want
to
do.
If
anything,
with
the
one
time,
land
prozis,
one
time,
land
Posey,
they
don't
go
for
operating
expenses
one
time.
So
we've
got
plenty
of
time
to
do
so.
Right
now,
we're
just
asking
approval
to
allocate
those
funds
move.
D
Approval
second,
it
moved
in
seconds
to
and
improve
the
sale
proceeds
507
despot
street
to
our
disaster
fund,
all
in
favor
aye
any
opposed.
Thank
you.
Moving
on
to
actually
I'd
like
to
take
a
break.
Let's
take
a
seven
minute
break
seven.
Well,.
J
Good
morning
mark
garing,
Public
Works.
We
had
this
matter
before
you
a
couple
months
ago,
the
issue
there
was
we
had
high
accident
rate
on
marion
avenue,
folks
turning
left
toward
the
visual
arts
center.
Turning
from
the
right
lane,
turning
left
and
clobbering
the
car
next
to
them.
Well,
we
looked
at
were
different
ways
to
put
signage
or
pavement
markings
to
make
the
situation
a
little
safer
and
here's
what
we've
come
up
with.
J
We
will
be
installing
pavement
marking
arrows
at
the
three
intersections
shown
with
the
red
dots,
that's
mod,
shreve
and
mcgregor,
as
you're
sitting
on,
say,
shreve
street
coming
from
the
park.
When
you
look
to
clear
traffic
on
marion
avenue,
you
will
see
the
pavement
arrows,
reminding
you
that
that's
a
one-way
street
that
will,
in
addition
to
the
no
left,
turn
the
do
not
enter
the
one-way
signs.
J
Everything
else
that
we've
got
there
we'll
have
one
more
reminder
for
folks
not
to
turn
the
wrong
way
onto
the
street,
but
it
will
also
serve
to
help
those
motorists
who
are
traveling
down
the
street,
mostly
our
visitors.
That's
who
find
the
high
accident
rate
with
to
remind
them
that
they're
traveling
on
a
two-lane,
one-way
street.
That's
what
we
think
is
the
problem:
they're,
forgetting
that
they're
on
a
two-lane,
one-way
street.
J
J
The
next
part
of
the
project
will
be
to
change
the
small
brown
signs
that
we
have
to
noting
Fisherman's
Village
and
the
visual
arts
center,
and
when
we
brought
this
matter
to
you
before,
we
had
proposed
just
typical
highway
signs
and
we
were
asked
to
go
back
and
look
at
that
and
working
with
urban
design.
This
is
a
standard
design
that
they
have
for
our
wayfinding
signs.
We
adapted
it
a
little
bit
to
work
in
this
situation,
but
the
actual
size
and
the
look
of
the
sign
is
from
the
way
finding.
J
These
will
be
placed
in
the
proximity
of
the
current
brown
signs,
which
are
near
the
driveway
of
the
of
the
visual
arts
center.
Excuse
me
at
the
visual
arts
center,
the
commercial
property
behind
the
visual
arts
center
near
their
driveway
and
the
second
drive
into
fisherman's
village
there
so
they'll,
be
we
don't
have
the
exact
location
we'll
have
to
do
utility
locates.
J
B
C
My
other
question
was
on
brata
Esplanade.
Could
you
have
arrows
letting
people
know
that
they're
going
they're
not
on
a
one-way
street
anymore,
like
they
all
think
they're
on
a
one-way
street
on
Radha
too,
so
they
have
just
throwing
it
out
there
and
are
you
going
to
replace
the
fishermen's
village
sign
sound,
ratify
impact,
it's
brown.
C
C
J
This
this
project
wasn't
for
demarcation
or
a
wayfinding
project.
It
was
trying
to
for
the
safety
traffic
safety
problem.
The
signs
are
a
bit
more
expensive.
We're
used
to
spending
a
couple
hundred
bucks
a
sign.
So
this
is
a
big
move
for
us
to
go
in
this
direction,
but
we
could
look
at
putting
signs
anywhere
and
everywhere
that
City
desires.
C
You
did
a
great
job,
but
we
do
have
a
lot
of
mismatch
signs
and
if
it
would
I
think
behoove
us
to
have
a
professional
help
us
with
our
wayfinding
signs,
so
that,
because
if
a
professional
helps
us,
we
will
need
less
signs
because
that's
what
they
do
signs
so
and
if
they
all
look
alike,
and
they
not
that
you
guys
aren't
professional,
you
know
I
mean
a
real
sign.
That's
all
they
do
is
sign.
They
live
in
free
signs,
edge,
signage
in.
F
I,
like
I,
think
it
is
a
good
point
that
they
all
should
start
matching.
We
should.
We
should
start
that
because
the
ones
that
we
have,
like
you
said,
they're,
not
so
effective,
because
people
are
paying
that
much
attention
to
them.
So
that's
another
issue
is
that,
are
they
even
effective,
even
though
they're
out
there,
and
they
were
a
couple
under
bucks
to
stick
out
there?
Are
they
doing
what
they're
supposed
to
be
doing?
Probably
not,
and
these.
C
F
C
D
D
Think
Kim
has
a
good
suggestion
to
on
Retta
Esplanade
I
know,
I
turned
because
thinking
again
it's
a
one-way.
You
know
and
all
of
a
sudden
I'm
seeing
a
car
and
I
go.
Oh
no,
so
I
mean
it
might
be
helpful,
like
some
of
the
intersections
just
to
put
that
on
the
roads.
Are
we
also
interested
in
and
holding
off
on
the
signage
until
we
get
something
consistent
with
regards
to
share
the
lane?
What.
J
J
K
David
Olson
urban
design
means
were
they.
We
do
have
a
full
plan
for
all
types
of
roadways.
If
we
do
have
this
falls
into
our
local
Street
program,
the
bigger
ones
that
you
see
out
on
41,
that's
on
the
state
highway
system,
so
so
these
are
for
all
test
purposes,
consistent
with
our
weight.
Finding
us
how
we
have
it
now.
Okay,
what.
K
C
K
B
A
D
My
concern
would
be:
is
that
those
other
signs
that
we're
doing
the
wave
finding
signs
are
going
to
be
very
different
than
this
in
terms
of
their
print
type
and,
and
things
like
that
and
I
think
that's
where
I
was
looking
for
a
consistency
in
what
they
look
like
now.
What
we
might
want
is
our
wayfinding
signs
to
be
consistent
with
this,
so
whatever
we,
whichever
way
we
go,
it
seems
that
it
should
be
more
consistent.
That's
my
perception
mm-hmm,
so.
F
H
Nancy
yeah
I
think
that's
a
good
idea
that
nope
we
need
to
really
hire
someone
from
outside
I.
Don't
think
so.
If
we
just
took
a
look
at
what
we
have,
the
consistency
part
is
a
good
idea,
it's
kind
of
like
when
people
go
crazy
on
a
page
with
fonts
in
things
and
they
put
all
kinds
of
colors
and
fonts
on
it
and
it
becomes
a
circus.
So
we
want
to
avoid
that.
But
I
like
this
and
I
think
that
we
really
need
to
do
something
soon,
because
season
is
upon
us
and
I.
H
K
A
D
F
J
J
A
D
So
we
have
agreed,
then
we'll
have
the
arrows
and
then
the
wayfinding
signs
and
these
particular
signs
will
come
together
and
they'll
mesh
beautifully.
So
that's
why
we're
looking
for
yeah
I,
like
these
signs
I
did
to
it.
I
do
too
ok
moving
on
our
legislative
requests
to
our
state
senators
and
representatives
of
the
Charlotte
County
delegation.
That
delegation
meeting
is
coming
up.
I
believe
that
the
fifteenth
of
October
and
the.
D
Our
proposal
needs
to
be
in
like
the
week
before
rights
and
the
ninth
October
night,
so
we
do
need
to
move
forward
in
terms
of
what
is
it
that
we
feel
that
we
want
to
put
on
our
agenda
for
our
legislative
delegation
in
the
three
items
that
had
been
brought
up.
One
of
them
was
related
to
perhaps
additional
funding
for
our
ro
plant.
The
second
item
was
vacation
rentals.
F
F
The
president
initiative
is
a
regional
compact
initiative
and
what
that
entails
is
multiple
jurisdictional,
whoever
cities
counties,
pulling
together
to
support
or
lobby
or
come
together
on
one
issue
and
as
I
told
you
at
the
last
month,
I
think
that
I
was
going
to
attend
the
Minnesota
league
meeting
and
I
did
that,
and
it
was
very
interesting
because
their
league
is
run
very
differently
from
Southwest
Florida
league.
They
set
it
a
diet,
it's
very
businesslike.
F
So
we
have
our
Southwest
Florida
League
meeting
tomorrow
and
we
will
be
discussing
the
regional
compact
issue
there
too
and
I'm
not
sure
if
that's
one
that
would
bubble
up
to
the
surface
there
as
well,
but
I
think
manasota
would
probably
they're
looking
to
do
something
on
that
end
and
I
did
send
you
all
the
final
copy
of
the
action
agenda
and
they
tation
rentals
is
on
the
action
agenda
as
well.
So
I
think
it
will
be
a
hot
topic
this
year
and
in
what
Minnesota
the
some
of
the
members
of
Minnesota
were
saying.
F
Even
the
inland
counties,
even
northport
we're
all
being
affected
now,
not
just
the
beaches
and
the
places
that
have
had
the
issues
for
years
because
of
Airbnb
and
vrbo,
and
you
know
all
of
these
other
online
opportunities
for
people
to
rent
their
houses.
It's
pervasive
now
it's
affecting
everyone,
so
it
is
a
hot
topic
and
of
course
there
you
know
we
are
preempted
right
now
from
really
establishing
any
ordinance
on
duration
and
yes,.
B
B
D
I
think
that
the
to
have
again
I,
don't
know
how
far
they're
going
to
be
able
to
go
in
terms
of
the
lobbying
efforts
to
allow
our
city
and
municipalities
to
actually
create
ordinances
that
affect
those
people
that
are
renting
out
their
properties.
Here,
I've
gotten
several
emails
from
people
on
Parisian
drive
which
in
which
they
say
you
know,
they're,
two
houses
that
are
in
have
investor
owned
houses
and
they
turn
over
constantly
with
new
people
coming
in
some
with
vicious
dogs.
D
The
realtor's
obviously-
and
we
don't
want
to
wipe
out
the
opportunity
for
people
to
rent
out
their
places,
because
that
does
bring
more
people
into
our
community.
What
I'm
going
to
be
sitting
down
with
Karen,
as
well
as
Laura
Steiner
for
tourism,
is
to
perhaps
take
a
look
at
what
we
can
do,
maybe
with
a
local
local
tax
occupational
tax,
in
which
we
would
then
know
at
least
know
who
is
doing
it.
D
So
we
have
some
kind
of
a
record
and
then
with
that,
knowing
that
as
they
come
in
for
that
occupational
tax,
we
would
also
give
them
a
brochure
and
saying
here:
are
you
know,
rules
and
regulations?
I,
don't
know
about
rules
and
regulations,
but
this
is
what
we
expect
in
terms
of
people
visiting
our
community
Rachel.
B
F
That's
another
way
that
we
can
approach
it
if
they're
not
going
to
change
the
legislation
at
least
give
us
some
avenue
to
go
to
try
to
collect.
If
it's
out
there
being
advertised
on
the
Internet
I
mean
they
should
be
remitting,
something
not
a
zero.
You
know,
maybe
there's
no
real
way
to
police
the
frequency,
but
they
at
least
need
to
be
remitting
some
kind
of
bed
tax
back
because
it
says
clearly
on
those
websites
that
they
are
collecting
it
they're,
just
not
remitting
it.
F
So
it's
similar
like
I,
say
to
like
Amazon,
where
we
weren't
paying
the
sales
tax
through
amazon.
You
know
we're
just
you're
supposed
to
send
it
in
on
your
own
and
and
finally
that
turned
around,
and
now
they
are
collecting
the
state
sales
tax
and
remitting
it
so
I,
don't
know
that
we
would
be
able
to
get
any
traction
with
changing
the
legislation,
but
I'm
telling
you
what
it's
it's
bubbling
up
to
the
very
top,
especially
with
the
Florida
League
of
Cities.
It's.
D
A
it's
a
big
issue.
I
did
talk
with
the
mayor
of
anna
marie,
who
did
put
in
ordinances
in
terms
of
use
and
time
and
things
like
that,
and
they
are
being
sued
now
they
are.
They
have
a
number
of
lawsuits
against
them,
so
we
don't
want
that,
but
at
the
same
time,
how
do
we
monitor?
How
do
we
make
sure
both
our
visitors
and
our
residents
are
pleased
with
the
relationship.
C
D
C
That
they
have
to
have
a
license
if
they're
they
have
to
have
a
license.
So
if
it
is
a
big
deal,
then
it'll
be
in
the
paper
and
we
can
put
it
on
our
Facebook
and
we
can
put
it
on
our
website
and
maybe
the
county
can
put
it
on
their
website
and
tourism
and
people
start
realizing.
Oh
I
need
to
be
doing
this.
At
least
we'll
have
some
revenue
from
it
to
police.
B
E
B
D
H
Yeah
I
think
that
a
number
of
these
residents
look
at
this
as
being
an
entrepreneurial
kind
of
thing
to
do,
but
whether
or
not
that
if
they
are
homesteaded,
you
know
what
impact
might
this
have
on
their
homes
ability
to
homestead.
If,
if
they
live
there,
it
must
be
their
primary
residence,
but
our
if
they're
putting
on
online
to
be
able
to
rent
by
the
month
and
they're,
calling
it
they're
hoping
you
know
primary
residence.
Then
there
could
be
some
issues
or,
if
they're,
establishing
a
B&B
and
that's
a
commercial
enterprise.
F
Zone,
yes,
I,
definitely
like
the
idea
of
having
them
register
with
the
city
because
they
are
doing
business
in
our
city,
and
we
can
verify
that
because
you
can
see
the
addresses
right
online.
Yes,
so
there's
no
real
dispute
of
whether
or
not
they're
doing
it,
because
it's
out
there
so
I
think
in
that
way.
If
we
can
make
that
work,
which
I
thought
there
was
some
issues
that
we
make,
it
was
private
information
or
something
like
that.
L
Struggle
with
that,
the
county
struggles
with
that
and
all
the
enforcement
that
goes
along
with
it,
but
we
can
I
believe
request
them.
If
we
identify
them,
have
them
apply
for
a
business
tax
receipt.
We
are
not
prohibited
from
doing
that.
In
fact,
the
statutes
there
is
there
is
a
in
chapter,
5
09
there.
There
actually
is
a
provision
that
says
before
you
issue
a
business
tax
receipt.
They
must
provide
proof
that
they
have
a
license
from
the
state
to
operate
that
lodging
establishment.
L
So
that
tells
me
that
that-
and
it
says,
municipalities
and
counties-
so
that
tells
me
that
we
can
in
fact
issue
a
business
tax
receipt
to
them.
So
that
would
be
a
process
for
us
to
confirm
they
have
a
license.
It
would
be
an
opportunity
to
provide
them
with
additional
information
about.
You
know
what
their
renters
can
or
keep
do.
You
know
what
we
would
prefer
that
they
do
those
kinds
of
things
that
opportunity
to
communicate.
Yes,.
F
F
They
have
to
be
registered
with
the
county,
yet
the
clerk
of
court
for
their
bed
tax
account
because
they
have
a
number.
You
know
that
they
have
to
send
their
money
in
with
so
I
think
that's
a
great
Avenue
to
at
least
per
seat.
And
yes,
it
would
be
labor-intensive.
But
we
went
on
air
BnB
and,
if
you
just
put
in
33
950
like
600,
some
was
50
5
25.
F
Come
up
just
in
three
three:
nine
five,
zero
zip
code,
I
mean
I,
don't
know
we
would
have
to
work
on
the
administration
of
it,
but
I
think
it
would
be
a
smart
way
because,
right
now,
when
we
have
the
neighbors
that
complain,
we
send
the
cops.
You
know
we
were
limited
in
what
we
can
do.
You
know
we
send
the
police
to
at
least
don't
you
know
if
it's
noise
or
if
it's
traffic
or
if
it's
cars
being
parked,
we
try
to
deal
with
it
through
public
safety,
but
we
don't.
F
H
B
Over
it,
you.
H
D
F
Well,
yes,
but
I
wanted
to
say
to
I
sent
you
the
statement
that
the
the
water,
the
energy
environment
and
natural
resources
committee
came
up
with
that.
If
we
don't,
if
we
don't
want
to
do
the
appropriation
I
would
recommend
that
we
include
this
statement
about
water
quality
and
quantity
as
one
of
our
legislative
priorities.
F
D
A
A
Present
the
information
by
the
9th
vacation
rentals
do
we
want
to
include
on
our
one
of
the
statements
or
policy
is
that
we
would
like
we
are
going
to
continue
to
work
with
the
League
of
Cities
and
locally
to
monitor
vacation
rentals
and
to
have
more
of
a
more
of
a
local
local
jurisdiction
over
vacation.
Some
statement
to
the
state
legislators
to
know.
What's
on
our
mind,
this.
F
Is
the
vacation
rental
statement
from
Florida
League,
the
Florida
League
of
Cities
supports
legislation
that
repeals
the
state
preemption
of
the
regulation
of
vacation
rental
properties
in
order
to
allow
local
governments
to
regulate
such
properties
to
protect
the
health
and
welfare
of
residents,
visitors
and
businesses.
Perfect,
perfect.
B
D
E
2Am
on
defense,
with
Rachel
about
that
you
know
my
feeling
is
that
we
we've
asked
twice:
we've
been
given
twice
and
I
really
can
concern
with
the
appearance
that
we
may
be
over
overextending
or
over
reaching
I'm
also
concerned
with
that.
If
we
haven't
asked
out
there
for
an
additional
two
million
dollars,
maybe
whatever
Authority
will
be
thinking
in
their
head
that
maybe
there's
an
opportunity
for
them
to
make
another
overall
huge
agreement
and
maybe
get
a
set
aside
of
some
funding
for
their
potential
over
original
on
the
on
the
pipeline,
I,
don't.
D
What
that's,
what
Howard
was
just
saying?
Oh
Jerry
basically
said
we
can
do
that,
but
he
would
like
the
flexibility
of
the
way
it
would
be
worded
in
our
presentation
to
the
delegation
again
I'm
concerned,
because
we
have
that
four
million
hanging
out
there
and
we're
not
moving
forward
on
that
that
fund
so
to
go
in
and
ask
again.
However,
we
did
understand
from
our
lobbyists
that
it
was
actually
recommended
by
the
staff
of
some
of
the
people
that
are
working
on
the
Appropriations
and
with
the
Appropriations
chair
that
that
would
be
acceptable.
So
yeah.
C
C
Just
seek
their
opinion,
maybe
I
mean
I
too.
Don't
wanna
I,
don't
want
to
see
him.
Greedy
I
mean
that
was
a
that
was
a
lot
of
work
last
year
and
all
of
them
pulled
together
for
us
and
really
supported
them.
It
supported
us
I,
don't
want
to
feel
like
we're.
You
know
ungrateful.
Oh,
we
want
more
more
MORE,
so
maybe.
A
A
D
D
Two
million
no
I
know
I,
don't
think
no,
it
would
actually
be.
The
two
million
would
be
to
reimburse
us
for
what
we're
having
to
pay
out
to
the
authority
and
I
think
that
was
their
perceptions.
Here
is
Punta
Gorda
mm-hmm
there.
They
only
you,
know
they're
paying
for
that
pipeline,
we're
basically
helping
them
to
pay
for
that
pipeline,
both
for
the
four
million
and
the
two
million,
and
then
Swift
mode
will
come
in
with
the
other
six
to
make
up
there.
12
million.
H
H
D
D
D
F
F
If
we
do,
I
mean
if
we
could
include
this
water
quality
and
quantity
state
and
we're
supporting
recurring
sources
of
funding
without
really
giving
to
ask-
and
we
can
maybe
do
that-
like
Howard's
saying
like
through
Jerry
and
that
could
also
go
with
oversight
of
our
watershed
without
I-
don't
know
how
he
thinks
that
we
could.
He.
D
Yes,
but
if
we
have
a
just
a
blanket
statement
that
doesn't
it's
apple
pie
and
motherhood,
you
know
in
terms
of
what
would
be
asking
for
I
think
we
should
be
very
specific,
with
particularly
related
to
our
watershed
that
our
municipality
would
have
an
opportunity
to
make
sure
we
could
monitor
and
provide
oversight
to
shale
Creek
and
prairie
prairie
creek.
If
that
impacts
our
water.
F
I
would
think
to
even
be
more
specific
that
we
should
just
ask
for
ourselves
and
I'll,
say:
okay,
every
city
in
the
state.
That's
right
should
be
able
to
do
this.
We're
just
saying
in
our
particular
situation.
So
I
don't
know
if
that's
what
local
bill
or
how
that
would
work,
but
maybe
Jerry
could
give
us
some
guidance
on
that.
I'll.
D
A
F
The
utility
relocation
is
a
big
one.
We
didn't
the
city,
didn't
really
feel
like
it's
a
huge
financial
impact,
but
for
like
cities
of
cape
coral
reef,
platted
places
a
really
huge
economic
impact
effect.
They
think
it's
going
to
come
back
again.
The
other
one
is
climate
change
and
sea
level
rise,
which
they're
supporting
which
there
was
some
legislation
I
believe
last
year
about
now
it
does
need
to
be
included
into
the
comprehensive
plan,
so
the
league
is
taken
it
a
little
bit
further
saying
that
they
recognize
changing
precipitation
patterns
and
increasing
storm
severity.
F
The
Florida
League
of
Cities
supports
legislation
that
encourages
vulnerability.
Assessments,
coordinates
resources
and
supports
the
efforts
of
local
governments
to
mitigate
and
adapt
to
these
dynamic
environmental
conditions.
So
it's
like
okay.
Well
now,
we've
we've
been
mandated
to
put
it
our
comprehensive
plan,
but
get
behind
it
and
help
us
with
what
that
means
to
our
city
in
the
future.
So
that's
another
one
that
I
think.
D
F
When
that
regional
compact,
one
of
the
south
after
tomorrow,
we
should
know
more
but
I,
think
actually
Kristin
Jacobs
she's
a
legislator
from
broward
county
and
she
was
back
she's
from
coconut
creek.
Actually
she
was
a
broward
county,
commissioner,
and
she
spearheaded
the
climate,
the
one
that
you
went
to
the
climate
compact.
So
she
is
going
to
be
working
with
the
Florida
League
to
work
with
the
local
leagues
to
come
up
with
whatever
our
regional
compact
is
going
to
be
so
I'll.
Keep
you
informed
of
what
that
topic.
It'll,
be
one
topic
so
I'll.
D
I
Good
morning
for
the
record,
John
LeBeau
urban
design,
and
I'm
here
today,
co-presenting
with
richard
pulp
from
PGI
green
thumbs
and
while
I'm
going
to
let
Richard
introduce
the
projects
since
they've
been
demand
behind
the
scenes
with
him
today.
He
also
has
several
members
of
the
PGI
green
thumbs
in
our
support.
Welcome.
M
M
You
know:
we've
been
working
for
three
years
now
at
the
corner
of
aqui
estan
Bal
Harbour.
You
have
given
us
permission
to
transform
that
corner.
Our
group,
as
a
group
was,
has
been
together
for
14
years
and
Peggy's
our
oldest,
but
not
all
this
volunteer
longest
longest
by
I'm,
the
oldest
but
she's
no
longer
sees,
but
with
us
for
14
full
years.
So
we've
been
doing
this
for
a
while.
We
enjoy
what
we
do
and
if
I
can
brag
I
think
we've
done
a
remarkable
job
on
the
corner
there.
It's
thank
you.
M
I
didn't
do
that
for
the
applause,
but
it's
it's
rather
unique.
What
we've
done-
and
it
is,
I
think,
a
beautiful
place.
I
mean
even
the
real
estate
agents
in
town
bring
the
people
to
the
park
to
show
on
what
volunteerism
can
do
when
they're
taking
them
around
to
show
them
homes
they
bring
them
for
a
tour
of
the
park
so
that.
B
M
Makes
you
feel
good
like
I
say:
we've
been
working
there
three
years
so
we're
getting
to
the
end,
we're
pretty
much
complete
in
what
we
can
do
at
nature
park
in
phase
one,
as
you
know,
there's
major
mess
right
now,
because
we're
getting
ready
for
the
public
furniture
the
benches
and
that
to
allow
the
public
to
use
the
park
that
will
be
coming
in
shortly.
Well,
that's
our
last
project
in
that
area.
After
that
it.
