Description
San Bruno Posy Parade 2013
Recorded on Sunday, June 2nd, 2013
A
A
This
is
the
longest-running
non-motorized
parade
in
the
country,
but
the
first
portion.
What
we're
going
to
see
today
is
motorized.
So
after
this,
the
official
Posey
parade
starts
with
the
children
coming
through.
History
of
this
parade
was
patterned
after
the
Tournament
of
Roses
Parade
in
Pasadena,
and
in
1941
san
bruno
decided
to
run
their
own
parade
and
they
teamed
it
with
posies,
and
so
that's
the
origination
of
this
parade
and
for
73
years
they've
continued
to
run
this
parade
up
san
mateo
avenue
and
along
crystal
springs
to
the
park.

Get
up
close,
it's
all
weeds
and
stickers.
Those
big
company,
TV
providers,
may
have
great
introductory
offers.
I've
read
the
fine
print.
You
have
to
sign
a
long-term
contract.
Do
they
offer
free
service
calls
and
just
how
high
do
their
rates
go
after
the
limited
time
offer
expires
at
San,
Bruno
cable,
you
sign
no
long
term
contract.
Our
rates
are
easy
to
understand
without
surprises,
and
if
you
experience
a
problem,
we
offer
free
service
calls
on
the
next
business
day.
Thank
you
for
choosing.
A
A
Welcome
back
to
San,
bernal
cable,
channel
ones,
coverage
of
the
73rd
running
of
the
posy
parade,
and
this
is
a
children's
parade
and
the
official
start
of
the
children's
parade
starts
now.
So
we
lead
off
with
Sandra,
knows
finest
leading
the
parade
here
and
behind
them,
cappuccino.
High
school's
band,
marching
band
is
they're
starting
to
come
forward
after
the
parade,
the
Lions,
which
sponsors
the
parade
will
be
hosting
a
hotdog
lunch
for
all
parade
participants
and
after
that,
they
baseball
game
between
st.
Roberts
and
Parkside.
Junior
high
school
takes
place
on
Tom
Lehrer
field.

Really
gives
us
input
and
information
on
what's
going
on
locally
I've
never
had
a
problem.
The
amount
of
challenger
get
a
abundance,
sit
there
for
hours
as
flipping
channels,
instead
of
watching
one
actually
keep.
A
We're
back
again
with
the
73rd
running
of
the
posy
parade
right
here
on
el
cristal
Boulevard
and
the
san
bern
alliance
does
sponsor
this
event.
As
you
can
see,
they
have
over
50
years
of
community
service
and
they've
done
a
lot
for
our
city,
including
recently
redoing,
the
4-h
farm
and
redoing
Beckner
shelter
fixing
both
those
locations
very
nicely,
and
here
comes
our
Posey
Princess
amber
and
her
court
Abigail
Sofia,
Genesis
and
Hailey.
A
B
Expect
to
see
well,
you
already
saw
the
band
we're
having
sports
teams,
we
have
the
mothers
club
out
here,
the
bicycles
we
have
bicycles
coming
down.
It
is
84
73rd
annual
he's
in
the
Guinness
World
Book
Book
of
World,
Records,
and
so
on
and
I
could
pray.
Well,
we
all
go
to
the
park
and
lions
club
gives
out
of
any
participant
of
the
parade,
gets
hot
dog,
soda
chips
or
apples.
We
try
to
keep
a
nice
tight
going
to
nowadays
and
stuff
and
it's
you
know
the
day
at
the
park.
A
Nice,
although
the
sports
division
is
seems
short
this
year,
it's
not
there'll,
be
baseball
teams
throughout
this
whole
parade
next
division,
2
is
carriages
and
ending
carriages.
They
got
the
theme
to
the
theme
this
year
is
salute
to
America,
so
they
got
their
red
white
and
blue
carnations
there.
They
got
the
American
flag
on
their
stroller
and
they're
the
only
one
in
this
division,
but
look
at
they.
They
did
it
right.
They
got
the
flowers.
That's
that's
the
whole
point
of
this
thing.
A
A
Tell
me:
what's
your
name,
Russell
did
use.
Did
you
decorate
this?
You
did
a
great
cheap,
walking
Russell,
you
did
a
great
job,
keep
pulling
that's
heavy.
How
long
did
it
take
you
to
work
on
this
float
two
weeks.
Well
done
good
job
Russell.
Thank
you
all
salute
to
America,
themed,
flowers,
everything,
good
division
for
animals.
We
have
a
young
lady
here,
pulling
a
cart
with
little
puppies.
It
looks
like
in
the
back.
What's
your
name
city,
great
fantastic?
What
do
you
have
in
the
back
of
your
wagon.
B
A
A

A
A
A
A
We're
back
with
more
san
bruno
Posey
parade.
This
is
the
longest-running
children's
parade
is
recognized
in
the
United
States
as
the
longest-running
children's
brulee
for
a
non-motorized
parade
in
the
US
and
we're
here
now
enjoying
that
today
in
2013
over
seventy
three
years
after
this
started,
and
we
now
bring
you
bel
air
school
school
division
is
one
of
the
divisions
of
the
nine
divisions
currently
in
the
parade
and
bellaire
school
is
here
to
represent
themselves
very
colorful
very
fee.
Matic
they've
got
the
salute
to
America.
B
A
A
And
intermix
throughout
the
entire
parade,
there
will
be
many
many
sports
teams.
San
bruno
baseball
is
very
big
in
san
bruno.
A
lot
of
kids
play
different
levels
of
all.
We've
been
been
blessed
to
have
a
very
good
directors
and
coaches
in
san
bruno
and
we're
happy
that
these
teams
come
out.
There's
a
yso
here
as
well.
Soccer
teams
are
out
here,
there's
girls
softball,
so
it's
quite
an
active
community
in
the
sports
world
and
a
lot
of
parent
participation
as
well.
The
Hurricanes
are
blowing
through
right
here.
A
A
B
B
B
Is
it's
fun
to
innovate,
something
and
it's
really
exciting
to
the
thing
you
know,
I
remember
back
when
I
was
in
the
sixth
grade
and
the
brushes
puts
buckling
up
and
the
principal
called
all
the
kids
and
said
we
got
to
do
more.
Math
I,
don't
remember
doing
more
math,
but
we
will
clearly
be
on
the
I
believe
the
cutting
edge
is
cool.
This
room.
A
A
A
As
we
wrap
up
the
73rd
version
of
the
posy
parade,
George
proponents
got
Dan
up
there.
Sam
Bruno's
committee
preparedness
committee
well
represented
and
Sam
Bruno's
finest,
following
behind
them
as
we
wrap
up
the
73rd
there's
officer
our
Hoyt,
all
right
as
we
wrap
up
this
73rd
annual
version
of
the
posy
parade
2013,
I'm
steve
urkel
for
san
bruno
cable,
TV,
cable
channel
one
like
to
thank
our
crew,
Miriam
and
her
crew
out
here,
Dave

on
