Description
San Bruno City Council Meeting February 12, 2013
10c. Slurry Seal Project
B
After
the
bit
evaluation
staff
confirmed
that
the
pride
that
the
price
was
actually
over
market
price,
the
city
council
subsequently
rejected
bid
on
october
nine
of
last
year,
breno
october,
nine
meaning
the
city
council
also
as
staff.
If
any
of
the
street
listed
for
slurry
seal
work
had
received
payment
treatment
in
the
past
staff
reviewed
the
city's
street
resurfacing,
projects
that
are
on
file
and
found
that
14
out
of
the
listed
25
streets
had
received
payment
treatment
in
various
year
between
1993
and
2007-13
out
of
the
14
streets
or
overlay.
B
We
knew
as
well,
while
the
other
one
was
the
ratio.
Now
going
back
to
this
more
exciting
item
in
front
of
you
tonight,
stab
we
advertise
the
servicio
project
again
in
just
this
past
December,
because
to
the
low
response
form
or
the
low
response
from
the
last
bid
process,
staff
establish
a
longer
bidding
period
this
time
and
reach
out
to
the
contractor
by
telephone.
B
This
is
additional
to
the
traditional
mailings
and
newspaper
ads
staff,
also
send
contract
documents
to
additional
plan
room
and
updated
the
city's
30
CL
contractor
directory
after
comparing
with
the
ones
from
nearby
cities.
As
the
result,
the
city
receives
six
bits
this
time
with
the
lowest
bidder
is
by
submitted
by
American
repairing
resurfacing.
Their
bid
is
in
an
amount
of
6630
8900,
42
dot,
ninety
cents,
after
review
of
their
bits
and
reference
check,
staff
come
from
that
their
bids
is
responsive
and
responsible.
B
Therefore,
staff
recommends
the
City
Council
approved
a
war
in
this
contract,
if
approved,
the
construction
will
start
as
early
as
spring
and
pending,
of
course,
that
pending
weather
conditions,
also
as
the
City
Council
might
be,
a
memory
called
there's
a
second
project
in
city
streets,
Street,
rehab
program
foot
this
year.
The
second
project
is
for
payment,
pavement
overlay
and
reconstruction
work.
Staff
is
still
on
track
of
advertising
this
project
this
spring
for
summer.
Construction
with
that
concludes
my
presentation.
B
C
Yes,
you
did
you
mentioned,
you
know
the
the
bid,
rejection
back
in
August
and
I'm
just
curious
serving,
and
then
you
explain
that
you
did
a
little
more
outreach.
I
mean
was
that
what
it
was
I
mean
I
mean
I
would
think.
But
back
in
August
said
you
know
they
would
what
they
would
have
really
no
responded
better,
but.
B
C
B
Really,
no
clear
reason
why
the
response
from
the
last
time
was
so
low,
but
it
could
be
found
some
of
the
contractor
that
bit
this
time
around
the
river
response
was
that
they
were
quite
busy,
even
though
it's
like
summer
last
year,
not
that
we
advertise
ahead
everyone
else,
they
were
able
to
submit
their
beds
and
naturally
have
time
to
spend
on
working
on
it.
Make.
D
I
appreciate
the
list
of
the
last
treatment
it
was
received.
I
had
asked
about
that
prior
and
so
I
appreciate
that
being
provided
with
that
there
are
some
blanks.
Is
that
because
work
on
those
streets
are
listed
here
were
done
prior
to
nineteen
ninety-three,
or
is
it
that
we
just
don't?
Have
the
data
and.
B
D
And
so,
for
example,
if
people
were
to
ask
you
we
see
here
on
san
bruno
avenue,
west
side,
we
had
an
07
and
overlaying.
So
obviously,
if
you
want
to
drive,
as
I
did
tonight,
the
east
side
of
san
bruno
avenue
people
may
say
well.
Why
isn't
that
one
being
addressed
so
we're
having
07
22
13
and
now
for.
D
B
Well,
that
one
staff
have
prepared
a
PT
at
13
grand
that
the
would
have
got
an
opportunity
to
get
design
opportunity
there
in
terms
of
when
we
can
schedule
for
work.
First
of
all
is
time
to
also
the
great
separation
project
we'd
like
to
do
that
afterwards
and
there's
other
commitment
that
I
think
we
can
bring
out
to
the
City
Council
subcommittee,
that
for
discussion,
when
that
we
can,
when
we
can
implement
the
improvement
on
the
east
side
of
san
bruno
avenue.
Okay,.
D
Thank
you
just
wanted
that
no
just
case
a
question
comes
up.
One
thing
that
I
will
tell
you
is
that
I
am
happy
elated
to
see
that
here
on
fourth
avenue,
and
I
don't
mean
that
with
any
cynicism
is
that
I
walked
at
and
it
wasn't
just
when
we
talked
about
the
arch
that
I
walked
it
again,
not
even
just
drove
it
and
I
know
there
will
be
one
gentleman
that
we
all
have
heard
from
rightfully,
so
that
will
probably
be
happy
and
I'm
sure
all
the
residents
were.
D
The
the
thing
is
obviously
that
there
are
many
folks
that
would
feel
rightfully
so
their
area
their
street
has
been
neglected
overlooked,
not
on
the
list.
What
makes
the
priority?
How
does
it
get
here?
Where's
the
money
and
how
come
not
with
a
lot
of
explanations,
but
as
brief
as
you
can
to
the
point
of
anybody,
that's
listening
or
that
may
want
to
gain
that
information,
because
those
questions
I
get
and
how
we
derive
this
with
the
dollars
that
we
have
opposed
to
all
those
folks
who
want
to
get
petition
drives
on
their
street.
B
So,
staff
utilize
city's
payment
management
plan
and
online
and
TC
software
to
generate
a
draft
list
of
street
that
would
be
the
most
optimum
use
of
fun
staff
for
maintenance
or
repair
work.
B
It
is
that
we
use
that
as
a
starting
starting
point
and
using
incorporating
community
concerns,
so
we
actively
keep
a
log
and
we
actually
communicate
with
the
street
service
manager.
So
whether
you
know
the
calls
coming
from
the
the
central
city
hall
or
to
the
yard,
we
are
aware
of
the
situation
and
to
the
resident
down
on
the
fourth
Avenue.
