Description
San Bruno City Council Meeting January 8, 2013
10d. San Bruno Grade Separation Project
A
Item
10
d,
adopt
a
resolution
authorizing
the
city
manager
to
amend
the
contract
with
Parsons
Brinckerhoff
for
construction
management
services,
but
the
same
vendor
grade
separation
project
in
an
amount
not
to
exceed
seventy
five
thousand
dollars
for
a
total
contract
amount
not
to
exceed
four
hundred
and
two
thousand
dollars.
The.
B
B
The
contract
was
up
to
not
not
to
exceed
300
Tony.
Thank
you
very
much.
Three
hundred
twenty-seven
thousand
dollar,
with
the
basic
assumption
that
the
effort
needed
for
this
project
will
be
less
than
a
full-time
person
with
about
80
hour
average.
In
a
month.
This
support
was
critical
for
the
success
of
this
optus
project.
The
intent
and
the
result
was
a
very
experienced
person
will
proactively
foresee
any
upcoming
issue.
Issues
on
our
problems
and
we'll
be
able
to
address
those
problems
before
those
issues
before
those
will
be
will
become
problems.
B
B
B
As
you
know,
unfortunately,
the
contract
initially
expected
to
be
done
last
year,
was
delayed
with
one
year
due
to
unforeseen
complication
for
the
underground
utilities
reason.
Why
is
important
for
us
to
extend
also
our
contract
with
PB,
to
accommodate
for
this
additional
time
frame
needed
to
have
the
support
to
meaning
to
minimize
the
overall
cost
for
this
service
agreement?.
B
The
time
necessary
for
this
support
was
decreased
from
area
or
250
hour
in
average
a
month,
knowing
that
the
biggest
support
was
the
city
we
needed
during
the
underground
construction,
and
in
our
judgment
this
50
hour,
average
amount
will
be
enough
to
provide
the
needed
support
for
us
to
until
the
conclusion
of
this
project.
This
reduction
of
time
already
was
was
implemented.
Last
July
from
last
July
for
seeing
the
need
for
extension
of
the
contract
was
already
implement
that
the
reduction
in
time
and
with
this
additional
seventy-five
thousand
dollar
increase
of
the
contract.
B
A
Of
staff
action
by
council
I'm
through
chair
before
I
introduce
a
resolution,
ice
I'd,
say:
we've,
we've
all
been
involved
in
the
bart
construction
and
I
think
this
construction
is
different
as
night
and
day.
I
know
that
about
a
year
ago
we
had
some
issues
with
some
residents
and
businesses,
and
you
know
in
our
consultant
and
the
jpv
cooperated,
and
we
took
care
of
that.
A
So
I'd
like
to
say
that
I
don't
want
to
jump
the
gun,
but
no
news
is
good
news
and
that
we
still
have
a
year
to
go
and
now
that
we're
out
of
the
ground-
and
hopefully
it's
a
lot
more
easier
to
monitor
you
know
and
deal
with
the
construction
very
pleased
with
that.
I
will
approve
it
and
adopt
a
resolution.
