Thank
you

again
apologize.
The
next
item
on
the
agenda
is
564
First

It's
a
request
for
a
use
permit
to
allow
the
construction
of
an
addition
that
would
increase
my
own
the
wrong
one.

It's
a
request
for
youthful
mood
to
allow
the
construction
of
an
addition
that
were
resolved
in
a
floor
area
above
the
point:
five
five
guidelines,
which
is
actually
0,
point
60
and
result
in
a
front
deck.
That
is
not
said
back
at
least
80
nations
from
the
face
of
the
first
floor
of
the
house
and
does
not
provide
a

vertical
surface
around
the
bottom

report.
Please
good.
B
Evening
planning
commissioners,
as
stated
the
applicant
has
applied
for
a
use
permit
to
expand
the
existing
single-family
dwelling.
The
use
permit
is
required
because
the
addition
is
exceeding
the
FA
are
guidelines
and
the
front
story.
Second-Story
front
deck
is
not
set
back
at
least
18
inches
from
the
first
floor
below
and
does
not
provide
a
solid
vertical
service
around
the
bottom
18
2
inches
of
the
deck
the
site
is
located
on
valleywood
dr
and
is
currently
developed
with
a
two-story
split-level
home.
The
addition
is
proposed
to
the
rear
of
the
existing
home.
B
The
first
floor
addition
will
expand.
The
existing
living
will
create
a
new
living
room
and
half
bathroom
and
the
second
floor
expansion
will
expand
the
existing
master
master
bedroom
located.
On
that
second
floor,
the
applicant
is
also
proposing
new
landscaping
throughout
the
front
yard
and
rear
yard.
Exterior
changes
to
the
facade
are
also
proposed.
New
bay
windows
are
proposed
throughout
the
entire
site,
as
well
as
a
brick
veneer
base
and
fiber
cement
siding.
B
The
Architectural
Review
Committee
also
requested
a
color
rendering
of
the
front
elevation
and
a
color
and
material
sample
board.
Overall
staff
is
supportive
of
the
colors.
However,
we
do
have
one
recommendation,
which
has
been
included
as
a
condition
of
approval
that
is
specifically
regarding
the
the
color
of
the
columns
and
the
gutters
right
now
is
proposed
to
be
white.
However,
staff
has
added
a
condition
of
approval,
requiring
the
columns
and
gutters
to
be
painted
the
same
trim
color
that
is
utilized
throughout
the
property.
B
Although
the
project
does
exceed
the
FA
are
guidelines.
Staff
finds
that
the
addition
complements
the
existing
home
and
the
neighborhood
as
a
whole
staff
finds
that
the
second-story
deck
proposed
with
supporting
homes
does
place
a
greater
emphasis
on
the
front
porch,
which
is
a
good
thing
in
this.
In
this
situation,
given
the
current
state
of
the
front,
porch
staff
did
send
a
courtesy
notice
and
the
required
300-foot
notification
to
property
owners
and
received
one
comment
from
a
concerned
neighbor
that
email
is
included
as
an
exhibit
with
in
the
staff
report.
B
Their
primary
concern
was
the
according
to
them
the
unattractive
nature
of
the
existing
home,
and
they
didn't
understand
why
staff
was
recommending
approval
to
increase
the
unattractive
nature
in
their
mind.
This
would
be
increasing
the
unattractive
nature.
However,
staff
firmly
disagrees
with
that
statement
and
finds
that,
as
a
result
of
this
project,
the
appearance
of
the
home
will
greatly
be
improved
with
the
new
fiber
cement,
siding
brick
veneer
base
and
bay
windows,
and
the
existing
landscaping
will
be
removed
and
replaced
with
brand
new
landscaping
in
the
front
and
rear
yard.
B
C
B
Believe
the
rationale
is
if
people
are
leaving
any
kind
of
any
kind
of
thing
like
if
anything's
place
for
storage
purposes,
that
we
wouldn't
want
that
visible
from
the
public
right
away.
In
this
case,
I,
don't
think
it
will
be
used
for
storage,
given
that
it's
only
five
feet
in
depth,
so
I
don't
think
there
will
be
a
lot
of
storage
taking
place
out
on
the
front
deck.
Then.
C
D
C
B
E
A
E
Yeah
Matt
you're
in
regards
to
the
letter
from
the
neighbor
and
their
concerns
and
I'm
just
going
to
read
a
little
bit
of
this.
If
I
could
there
and
so
it
starts
with
you,
know,
I
guess
I
still
see
so
many
flaws
in
this
edition.
They
are
in
so
many
violations
that
San
Bruno
seems
to
want
to
wash
under
the
rug,
as
it
goes
on
says,
I
am
very
opposed
to
any
additional
permits
being
granted.
The
address
is
already
an
eyesore.
Why
make
it
even
more?
E
E
Has
he
been
contacted
in
regards
to
you
know
his
concerns
about
this
particular
project
and
if
he
was
just
exactly
what
codes
are
being
violated
in
the
plans
that
were
apparently
willing
to
wash
under
the
rug
I'm,
not
too
clear
that
I'm
wondering
if,
if
that
was
made
clear
to
staff
and
then
in
turn
of
staff,
made
clear
to
the
concerned
resident
his
concerns?
Yes,.
B
Staff
did
contact
the
concern,
neighbor
and
I
believe
the
code
said
that
they
are
referencing
that
are
being
violated,
our
the
entitlements,
essentially,
the
use
permit
for
exceeding
the
FA
our
requirement,
as
well
as
the
front
deck
not
set
back
18
inches
and
then
the
not
the
18
inches
for
the
vertical
service
as
a
deck
as
well.
I
believe
that's
the
those
are
the
code
so
that
they
are
that
the
concerned
neighbor
is
referring
to
that
has
been
violated,
although
in.
C
B
Relation
to
they
were
concerned
with
traffic
and
they
were
concerned
with
noise.
I
pointed
out
to
the
concerned
neighbor
that
we
do
have
conditions
of
approval
which
display
the
noise
ordinance
within
within
the
condition,
so
they
have
to
abide
by
those
noise
regulations
found
in
that
condition.
Okay,.
E
That's
good
because
I'm
just
kind
of
a
little
taken
back
when
I
was
reading
in
about
you
know
the
traffic,
the
additional
traffic
and
everything
and
I
just
want
to
hope,
hopefully
make
clear
that
the
neighbor
understood,
there's
not
give
me
that
much
more
traffic
during
construction
I
mean
we
are
obviously
do
have
you
know.
Conditions
of
you
know
approval
for
that.
So,
okay,
thank
you.
A
A
F
G
As
the
owner
and
the
mother
of
the
children
is
kind
of
important
for
me
that
my
house,
not
I'm,
going
to
be
only
looking
presentable,
but
also
useful.
For
me,
my
children
and
a
deck
on
the
back
is
going
to
be
a
great
opportunity
for
me
to
see
my
children
playing
while
I'm
going
to
be
cooking
in
the
kitchen
which
I'm
going
to
transfer
to
the
back
of
the
house.
That's
a
reason
why
I
wanted
to
make
it
the
way
I
did.
Can
you
please
also
state
your
name.
A
A
We
do
have
a
couple
I
had
the
opportunity
of
visiting
your
property
today
and
I'd
like
to
just
based
upon
my
observation.
I
saw
several
things
that
were
taking
place
and
it
looks
like
some
of
these
things
will
be
addressed
during
the
construction.
I
saw
some
things
that
were
would
appear
to
me
very
unsafe
and
looking
at
some
of
the
laundry
area
and
even
I
can
reach
some
of
those
pipe
areas,
and
there
are
some
conditions
inside
with
you,
apparently,
in
speaking
to
mrs.
Mendelson,
that
there
was
a
leak.
A
Apparently
you
opened
up
the
inside
of
the
where
the
ceiling
area
wasn't
you
saw,
some
can
deliver,
is
going
in
opposite
directions
and
you
couldn't
figure
out
what
what's
how
that
came
back.
Can
you
just
please
describe
some
of
the
things
that
I
observed
today
and
I.
Don't
know
if
mrs.
Nettleton
had
explained
to
you
or
give
you
information
about
my
tour.
Yes,.
F
The
the
laundry
room
that
we
saw
today
is
exactly
the
way
we
purchase
a
house
and
that's
exactly
the
same
laundry
room
that
we
had
it
and
all
those
pipes
sticking
out
and
in
the
wintertime.
We
have
a
rain,
the
water
coming
down
the
garage
area
and
we
have
some
leaks
in
the
living
room
over
the
windows
in
at
different
places.
F
There
are
so
many
code
violations
were
reconstructed
by
previous
owners
and
we
have
a
pipe
sticking
out
from
exterior
of
the
wall,
a
hot
water
in
the
cold
order
and
they
get
into
house
from
outside
of
the
wall.
So
the
decks
are
rotten
and
that's
what
we'd
like
to
proceed
with
improvement
and
fix
all
the
problems
that
have
been
done
by
previous
owners.
So
it
satisfies
the
safety
and
just
as
tactical,
and
just
a
pleasure,
of
a
living
space
that
we
are
looking
forward
to
build
and.
F
We've
been
in
five
years,
but
we
start
fixing
that
we
moved
out
and
would
just
right
now
moving
out
just
you
know
getting
ready
to
move
our
stuff
away
as
soon
as
the
construction
will
start.
So
we
are
the
owners.
What
the
condition
with
believed
was
not
acceptable.
There's
a
light
fixture,
there's,
not
I
we
were
fixing
the
air
conditioning.
I
mean
the
heating
system,
there's
lots
of
different
style
that
we
got
involved
in,
and
so
we
moved
there
temporarily
and
we're
moving
out
to
another
location
until
we
get
the
job
house
fixed.
A
F
Pulled
the
permit,
for
it
replaces
the
door,
but
soon
as
I
started
working
on
it
it
so
there's
some
so
much
dry,
rot
I
was
inherited
and
there's
other
stuff,
so
I
just
relocated
the
door
to
other
place
and
start
working
with
a
drawing
and
I.
When
I
started
to
prepare
the
drawings
I
couldn't
handle
it,
and
so
I
hired
a
licensed
architect.
Who
will
help
me?
It
was
proceeding
with
drawings
it
just
matter
of
time
before
we
just
find
the
resources
and
right
people
to
proceed
with
right
way
of
buildings.
Understand.
A
Were
some
challenges
in
that
area
right,
yeah,
I,
guess
my
point
of
bringing
that
apathy
is
that
I
wanted
to
hear
from
your
point
of
view,
just
the
progression
this
project,
because
there
appears
to
be
some
long-term
issues
here
and
with
the
neighbors
input.
What
is
your
expectation
of
completion
of
this
project?
You
mean
time
completion.
Yes,
what
do
you
see
that
at
the
beginning
and
the
ending,
because,
basically
tonight,
whether.
F
On
the
east
side,
we
didn't
have
any
issues,
no
complaints,
it's
a
nice
neighbor,
the
other
neighbor
who
was
complaining.
We
are
not
aware
who
is?
This
person
is-
and
we
never
talked
to
the
person,
but
that's
so
our
Gilardi
is,
if
you
have
a
per
plant
planning
department
of
proving
the
drawings
and
building
department
approving
drawings.
We
probably
going
to
start
the
project
within
the
month,
preparing
all
the
wording,
the
materials
and
all
the
stuff
just
to
get
ready.
F
Our
first
priority
would
be
constructing
the
new
roof
that
we
have.
We
have
a
existing
shingle
roofing
on
the
house.
Car
with
with
cedar
shingle
card
with
regular
shingles,
and
it
has
to
be
feared
of
the
roofing,
has
been
redone.
There's
lots
of
places
that
what
we
have
has
to
be
just
fixed
immediately
before
before
the
rain
starts
and
a
gutter
system
to
be
taking
care
as
well,
because
the
old
guards
are
vinyl
and
they're
all
falling
apart.
They're
not
fixable
to
just
have
to
be
replaced
with
a
new
fascia,
soffits
and
just
proper.
A
F
On
that,
the
existing,
the
existing
steps
that
we
had
before
the
rise
was
about
nine
inches
and
the
threat
was
about
eight
inches
and
there
was
a
clearance
about
you
know
when
you
step
on
the
step,
you
were
heading
hitting
the
header
right.
Above
it,
it
was
just
a
poorly
constructed
stairway
which
didn't
have
a
egress
clearance
to
bring
any
anything
in
and
out
on
the
stairs
so
just
fixing
to
stare.
It
just
was
like
a
can
of
worms.
F
You
know
you
open
up,
you
start
working
one
saying
another
thing
gets
into
it
and
onto
the
way
and
the
way
you
see
they
just
figure
out
its
way,
just
everything
teared
apart
and
rebuild
it
right
from
the
beginning,
instead
of
fixing,
so
the
stair
that
I
fixed,
it
was
adjusting
means
this
overhead
clearance
we
didn't
have.
It
was
like
72.
So,
whenever
I
step
on
the
step,
I
was
touching
the
the
header
right
above
the
stair.
How.
F
A
F
G
G
To
the
microphone,
just
the
furniture
is
being
there
for
like
years
right
now,
since
we
moved
on
five
years
ago,
but
we
don't
leave
there
like
physically
all
the
time
like
I
said
they
were
living
in
San
Francisco
because
of
his
calls
for
my
children
and
they'll
be
moving
back
to
San
Francisco.
So
we
don't
really
live
there,
but
the
furniture
stores
I
mean
they
have
to
have
it
somewhere.
G
F
A
D
D
C
F
A
E
E
There's
no
questions
or
anything
else
from
any
other
commissioners.
I'll
make
a
motion
that
we
approve
use.
Permit
0900
for
based
on
findings
of
fact
went
through
26
and
conditions
of
approval
went
through,
I,
mean
findings
of
fact,
one
through
six
and
conditions
of
approval
on
through
26.
Second
question.
C
B
A
Would
also
like
to
at
least
ask
the
question
of
our
director:
is
there
any
opportunity
to
go
in
and
view
it
before
right?
Currently,
at
the
stage
word
is
document
some
of
the
information
possibly
take
some
photographs.
If
that's
permissible
to
do
just
so,
we
have
some.
You
know
some
documentation
of
the
process
that
really
what
I
saw
just
didn't
feel
I'm
concerned
about
about
the
project,
and
so
I
just
feel
strongly
that
if
there's
some
visual
from
our
promoter
staff
to
go
and
take
a
look
at
it,
yeah.
