fees

residents
who

homes
or
those
with
major
damages
from
the
glenview
fire.
If
adopted,
the
waiver
will
include
all
building
electrical
mechanical
plumbing
and
permits,
as
well
as
inspection
and
planning
piece
eligible
residents
for
the
fee
waiver
are
limited
to
those
with
the
property
with
properties
in
the
glenview
fire
area
for
fire
related
work
only.
In
addition,
the
waiver
requires
that
the
planning
process
needs
to
be
completed
with
permits
issued
no
later
than
September
9th
2012
two
years,
basically
from
the
incident
date.

estimators
fiscal
impacts
is
approximately
five
hundred
thousand
dollars.
Ask
there's
going
to
be
a
substantial
work,
effort
from
city
staff
and
costs
incurred
for
plan
review
and
inspection
costs.

this

proposal

City

anticipate
that
there
will
be
a
need
for
extra
help,
both
in
the
planning,
as
well
as
in
the
building
areas
of
our
city
organization.

director
indicated
that
there
is
a
lost
potential
revenue
of
approximately
500
thousand
dollars.

There
really
is
not
lost
revenue
that
wasn't
revenue
that
our
budget
relied
on.
We
weren't
anticipating
this
devastating
event.
However,
it
does
represent
the
cost
that
the
city
will
likely
incur
in
performing
the
services
that
will
be
necessary
to
facilitate
the
rebuilding
process
and
the
extraordinary
workload
that
was
unexpected
as
part
of
our
normal
operations.

understanding
that
this
would
include
anybody
who
sustained
damage
that
is
directly
attributable
to
the
impacts
of
the
explosion
and
the
fire,
and
that
would
include
it's.
As
the
city
council
is
aware,
there,
there
are
three
different
categories
that
are
typically
used
in
the
building:
inspection
practice,
the
red,
yellow
and
green
tags.
It
is
a
fairly.

Individuals
whose
houses
have
been
green
tagged
could
in
fact,
incur
a
significant
expense
in
repairing
what
the
building
code
doesn't
view
as
major
damage,
but
there
may
be
many
things
that
need
to
be
repaired
and
in
fact,
looking
around
the
neighborhood.
You
can
see
that
that
may
well
be
the
situation
for
many
of
our
residents
who,
whose
homes
have
experienced
damage
but
are,
in
fact,
green
tags.
So
the
intent
would
be
to
cover
any
of
those
items
that
are
directly
attributable
to
the
explosion
and
the
fire,
regardless
of
the
severity
of
the
damage.
