Description
Senior Moments #10 Slot Machine August 2009
Although Mr. Welch passed in August of 2011, this video illustrates his love for his museum.
A
Hi
I'm
bharti
rosman
Kudrin,
and
this
is
senior
moment
when
asked
how
gambling
and
san
bruno
go
together.
You
might
think
of
the
casino
here
in
town.
You
might
talk
about
the
largest
hot
you've
ever
won
or
lost.
What
about
the
people
who
take
risks
throughout
their
lives?
For
some
people,
risk-taking
is
what
life
is
all
about.
I.
B
A
Welch
has
been
a
major
influence
here
in
san
bruno
for
over
half
a
century.
He
started
by
moving
houses
here
and
he
likes
ham
Bruno
so
much
he
decided
to
stay
and
build
his
business
enterprise
right
here.
The
outside
of
this
building
is
understated
sort
of
like
Joe
himself.
It
just
looks
like
any
other
office
building,
but
once
you
step
inside
it's
a
whole
different
story.
B
A
B
B
A
B
B
My
uncle
was
the
fire
chief
for
the
city
of
San
Francisco
and
in
those
days
you
couldn't
get
any
cars.
So
he
called
a
friend
of
his
said.
My
nephew
wants
a
car,
take
care
of
him,
so
I
went
down
there,
he
had
maybe
four
or
five
cards
and
over
in
the
corner
was
one
covered
up.
I
went
over
there
to
the
cupboard
it
was.
The
brand
new
Chevrolet
convertible
1947,
so
I
said
I
want
that
one!
No,
no
I
can't
give
you
that
we
have
to
have
it
on
display.
B
C
B
It
every
day,
at
lunchtime
and
all
day
on
all
night,
we
go
to
the
games
of
whatever
we
had
a
lot
of
fun
with
the
car
and
that
this
picture
shows
some
of
my
friends
around
the
card
is
probably
50.
People
in
the
picture
on
money
doesn't
feeling
a
lot
of
lot
of
good
friends
later
on
when
I
was
in
my
20s
I
got
a
beautician
license
and
I
would
write
down
there
and
sodomy
give
haircuts.
Although.
A
B
That
I
would
one
truck
and
I
ended
up
having
three
eyes
work
for
me,
I
saw
what
I
was
selling
and
I
think
anybody
could
do.
This
I'd
buy
a
50
gallon
drum
of
Vaseline
and
jelly
and
I
melted
down
and
I'd
put
any
color
and
the
perfume
and
solid
ahead.
Tommy
and
I
sell
pomade
all
kind
of
bother
surprise.
B
A
B
Sold
the
stars
and
started
moving
houses
full
time.
My
my
brother-in-law
was
a
house
mover
in
concord,
walnut
creek
and
they
will
build
in
some
freeways
over
there
and
then
pretty
soon.
They
started
to
build
three
with
here
on
alemany
Boulevard
and
Mission
Street,
all
around
the
neighborhood
down
by
bayshore
boulevard,
I,
don't
know
how
many
there
was
all
together,
but
I
both
knew
a
couple
of
hundred
a
matter
a
couple
of
years.
B
If
you,
we
would
bid
on
the
houses,
anomaly
and
pay
so
much
foam
and
then
get
the
houses
without
the
mover,
but
the
state
would
give
me
the
five
or
six
thousand
seven
whatever
you
say.
If
you
get
them
off
of
here
in
a
week,
are
given
to
you
for
nothing.
So
we
get
a
moved
in
a
week
boom
day
night,
whatever
we
brought
him
down,
Jenna
pecera
this
san
bruno
avenue
and
then
came
down
the
hill
and
moved
them
around
on
gummy
street
huntington.
B
B
One
of
the
first
thousands
I
moved,
I
was
brewing
it
down.
Sam
brenner,
avenue
and
the
old
chief
of
police
got
out
there
and
put
up
his
hand
and
said
they
stopped.
I
said
I
can't
stop
this.
Excuse
me.
I
can't
stop
this
thing.
I'll
see
you
on
the
other
side
of
san
bruno
lavender,
where
it
levels
off,
so
he
went
along
with
that.
I
said
I'm
going
to
make
you
a
postage
stamp
of
pricing.
Don't
you
don't.
B
A
B
A
B
Had
out
dropped
anything
I
moved
to
several
big
buildings
with
a
glass
of
water
on
on
the
counter.
Let
us
built
a
drop
after
I
was
finished,
with
moving
all
the
houses.
I
started,
building
new
new
husband,
so
I
built
around
town.
We
had
houses,
we
call
harmony
houses
and
we
would
come
and
build
a
house
on
your
lot
for
five
or
six
thousand
dollars,
and
it
would
be
your
house
and
wouldn't
cost
him
a
dime.
They
owned
a
lot.
B
Maybe
30
years
old
and
I
thought
it
was
a
big
shot
or
doing
well,
so
I
went
downtown
and
told,
walked
into
the
British
motors
and
said
that,
how
much
is
that
come
and
they
thinking
I,
was
to
you?
I
didn't
have
the
money,
so
they
said
in
those
days
they
were
pretty
cheap.
They
wanted
thirty
thousand
dollars
for.
C
B
B
Then
five
hundred
dollars
some
of
these
machines,
you
know
now
I,
wish
lots
and
lots
of
money.
Trade
stimulators
our
little
machines
that
they
used
to
have
on
the
corner,
drugstore
or
the
grocery
store.
Some.
When
you
got
two
or
three
pennies
change,
you
wouldn't
just
walk
away.
It
put
him
in
the
middle
machine
to
get
a
gumball
or
piece
of
chalk
with
one
of
it.
You
know
people
were
happy
that
was
another
25
cents.
They
made
them
day
or
week.
You
you
know:
they'd,
buy
the
whole
machine
for
maybe
a
hundred
dollars.
B
A
B
Originally
I,
my
mother
had
a
beauty
shop
here
my
business
was
amidst
or
so
we
were
busier
and
busier
so
I
toward
the
beauty.
Shop
down
and
I
built
the
first
floor
on
the
corner.
What's
down
there
now
and
then
sooner
or
later,
I
started
thinking
about.
Where
am
I
going
to
put
all
this
junk.
Oh
I
built
the
second
floor
on
top
of
the
office.
A
B
B
Slot
machine
Ali
was
actually
lower
market
ste.
There's
a
lot
of
the
old
manufactures
that
are
on
modesty
may
be
from
the
ferry
building
up
to
fourth
of
this
six
feet
and
they
were
manifested
and
then
aside,
Starwood
different
places,
but
the
first
slot
machine
ever
made
was
made
San
Francisco
in
89
and
I
charles
VII
I
talked
about
people.
A
A
C
I'm
Sergeant
dance
title
from
the
Pacifica
Police
Department
I
represent
the
consumption
of
alcohol
suppression
team,
also
known
as
the
coast
under-21
task
force.
We
need
your
help.
Do
you
know
of
a
business
that
is
selling
alcohol
to
minors
or
a
location
where
miners
are
asking
customers
to
purchase
alcohol
for
them?
Please
contact
your
local
police
department.
If
you
do
together,
we
can
combat
the
problems
created
by
underage
drinking.
We
thank
you
for
your
support
in
our
efforts
to
protect
our
most
precious
asset.
Our
children.
C
C
There
are
a
lot
of
memories
that
we
feel
lucky
to
share
with
them.
Oli
one
is
a
few
more
moment
and
a
place.
He
loves,
surrounded
by
the
people
who
love
it.
Hospice
provides
the
end
of
Life
Care.
You
and
your
loved
ones
want
and
need
it's
available
to
everyone
with
the
help
of
the
people
at
our
local
hospice,
because
with
and
further
away
Carla
hospice
in
your
community
for
more
information
on
this
service.
That
makes
the
most
of
moments
with
the
people.
You
love
hospice
care,
comfort
and
compassion
when
it's
needed
most.
C
Stop
look
and
wave
it's
not
just
for
making
friends
it's
for
saving
lives,
brought
to
you
by
the
San
Bruno
bicycle
and
pedestrian
safety
committee
and
San
Bruno,
cable,
TV
meet
captain
slip,
ghosts
everywhere
from
Zanzibar
to
Barclay
square
knot.
Fatties
only
seen
the
side
the
girl
can
see
from
Brooklyn
Heights
crazy,
oh
my
patty.
Did
you
find
all
your
files?
Finally,
who
knew
be
this
much
work?
Richard
and
I
decided
to
retire?
Well,
what
are
you
gonna
do
first
or
heading
down
to
brooklyn
heights
and
starting
on
that
social
security
paperwork?
C
C
B
I
had
a
friend
of
mine
was
a
wood
carver.
He
tired,
Laurel
and
Hardy
card.
Clint
Eastwood
combine
several
of
these
cars.
We
just
take
a
regular
height,
optician
and
Bill
it
into
the
chest
like
that
klinische
work,
a
one-armed
bandit,
is
just
what
it
says
it
is.
It
was
a
cowboy
machine
that
made
with
one
arm
and
the
other
arm
was
being
used
for
the
pulling
the
handle.
So
it
looks
like
cowboy
hexed
by
a
comma
and
a
Japanese
over
I
bought
it
off
and
I
came
by
him.
B
B
Several
of
the
machines
that
came
from
the
funhouse
back
in
the
forties,
the
laughing
so
I've
got
to
me,
one
that
was
up
in
the
big
window
of
the
fun
house
and
the
one
here
it's
in
the
little
go-cart
she
was
on
display
on
the
inside
I.
Think
this
four
or
five
of
the
old,
far
as
I,
can
find
out
four
or
five
of
the
Laughing
styles,
like
the
one
I
have
down
in
the
lobby,
and
we
have
strange
machine
electric
shock
machine
all
kinds
of
stuff
around
here.
I
mean
this
is
a
lot
more.
B
This
is
probably
the
history
of
hello,
gaming
equipment
host
of
sure
every
time
I
get
a
busload
head.
It's
always
somebody
that
I
remember
that
my
father
had
a
grocery
store.
He
had
one
of
those
had.
One
of
these
is
a
lot
of
old
memories
hit
for
a
lot
of
old
people,
of
which
I
am
one
most
of
the
success
of
anybody.
You
have
to
be
happy
and
what
you
do,
if
you
don't
like
going
to
work
every
day,
the
same
old
thing
you
know:
you're,
not
gonna,
be
good
at
it.
B
B
A
Started
off
taking
risks
early
in
life
and
look
what
it's
brought
him
sure
makes
for
an
interesting
story.
If
you'd
like
what
you've
seen
on
this
program,
you've
got
to
come
down
and
check
this
place
out.
You
may
even
get
a
personalized
tour
from
Joe
himself.
The
Joe
Welch
American,
antique
museum
is
open,
mondays
to
fridays,
from
nine
to
noon
and
then
again
from
one
to
five.
An
admission
is
always
free.
I'm,
Barney,
Rosman
Kudrin-
and
this
has
been
senior
moments-
see
you
next
time.
