Description
What's Happening Around Town
for the City of San Bruno
August 2015
1st Draft
A
Welcome
back
to
another
edition
of
what's
happening
around
town,
my
name
is
Stephanie
Tevez
the
summer
is
in
full
swing
and
we
want
you
to
know
what
fun
activities
there
are
to
do
in
the
city
of
San
Bruno
in
August
2015.
As
you
may
be
aware,
the
water
department
has
been
upgrading
the
water
delivery
system
throughout
San
Bruno.
In
order
to
more
quickly
and
more
accurately,
keep
tabs
on
water
usage.
The
aging
residential
water
meters
are
being
replaced
with
state-of-the-art
units
that
will
be
monitored.
A
Electronic
this
means
that
residents
will
be
able
to
track
their
own
water
use
from
any
computer
or
internet
mobile
plans,
and
the
new
system
will
alert
the
water
department
of
potential
leaks
so
that
repairs
can
be
made
quickly.
Minimizing
property
damage
and
reducing
water
loss.
City
crews
and
contractors
have
already
begun
installation
of
the
new
meters.
You
will
receive
a
door
hanger
approximately
two
weeks
prior
to
the
replacement
of
your
water
meter.
Work
will
take
place
between
9am
and
5
p.m.
on
weekdays,
and
it
will
take
approximately
30
to
45
minutes
to
replace
each
meter.
A
Water
service
will
be
interrupted
briefly
during
an
installation.
Please
clear
the
area
around
your
water
meter
when
contractors
are
scheduled
to
arrive
residents
are
not
required
to
be
present
during
the
work.
If
the
contractor
cannot
gain
access
to
the
meter,
they
will
schedule
a
follow-up
visit
video
for
more
information
on
the
water
meter
replacement
project.
Please
call
the
san
bruno
public
services
department
at
6,
167,
160,.

to

you
that
the
San
Bruno

is
still
open
for
swimming
lessons,
lap
swimming
water,
aerobics
and
recreational
swimming.

and
although

a
good
strategy
for
addressing

setback.
