is
national
night
out
so
start
out
by
turning
on
your
porch
light,
National
Night
Out
began
in
1984
as
an
effort
to
promote
involvement
in
crime
prevention
activities,
police
community
partnerships,
neighborhood
camaraderie,
and
to
send
a
message
to
criminals,
letting
them
know
that
neighborhoods
are
organized
and
fighting
back.
The
San
Bruno
crime
prevention
committee,
along
with
the
San
Bruno
Police
Department,
will
be
holding
an
event
at
Grundy
Park
from
6:00
until
8:00
p.m.

on
Tuesday
August
7th,
meet
local
police
officers
and
learn
more
about
starting
your
own
Neighborhood
Watch
Group
many
neighborhood
watch
groups
in
San
Bruno
have
events
planned
in
their
neighborhood
so
check
in
with
yours,
not
sure.
If
your
neighborhood
has
a
watch
group

support
services,

Campbell
at

you

Thursday
July
19,
real
police
officers
from
the
San
Bruno
Police
Department
will
read
stories
and
interact
with
the
children
starting
at
11:15
a.m.
this
is
a
free
event
and
no
reservations
are
necessary.
So
come
by
the
library
at
11:15
a.m.
on
Thursday
July
19th
to
meet
and
interact
with
police
officers
from
your
city
with
the
hearts.

have
a
couple
of
Monday
evening
programs
scheduled
at
the
library
on
Monday
July
16th,
a
dad's
exploration
with
the
Dave
Broca
jazz
trio
will
fill
the
downstairs
community
room
with
south
a
discussion
about
jazz
the
instruments,
as
well
as
some
fun
music
will
liven
up
the
evening
and
on
Monday
July
30th
Brian
Scott
will
bring
his
magic
to
entertain
you.
Both
of
these
events
are
fun
for
the
whole
family.
Each
will
start
at
6:30
p.m.

be
sure
to
get
to
the
community
room
early,
as
the
doors
will
be
closed
once
the
room
fills
to
capacity
Monday
evenings
at
the
library
on
July,
16th
and
July
30th
Thursday
afternoons.
It's
got
a
bit
more
interesting
each
Thursday
afternoon.
The
library
will
host
a
virtual
world
tour
with
hands-on
making
programs
go
to
the
Mediterranean
with
Leah's
pantry
on
July
5th,
starting
with
a
short
talk,
the
participants
will
learn
how
to
prepare
food
such
as
hummus
and
veggie.

Pita
sandwiches
on
July
12
celebrate
the
Tonga
BOTS,
a
festival
from
Japan
with
Kamishibai
stories,
paper
crafts
and
more
on
July
19th.
Take
a
virtual
trip
to
India,
with
elephant
decorating
and
on
July
26
travel
to
ancient
Egypt.
By
making
a
clay
cartouche
hosted
by
people.
Ology
adults
are
encouraged
to
participate
with
their
kids
as
we
have
plenty
of
supplies.
These
are
hands-on
making
programs
on
Thursdays
in
July
from
3
until
4
p.m.
join
them
on
the
fun.

Even
if
you
aren't
sure
what
a
polyhedron
is,
you
are
invited
to
the
Science,
Festival
polyhedra
party
and
ice
cream,
social
on
Wednesday,
July
25th,
starting
at
2
p.m.
the
Marine
Science
Institute
will
guide
you
in
science
activities.
The
ice
cream
will
be
served
at
3
p.m.
this
is
for
people
of
all
ages.
Even
kids
are
invited,
come
to
the
Science
Festival
+
ice
cream,
social
on
Wednesday,
July
25th
at
the
San
Bruno.

The
San
Bruno
Park
pool
is
open
for
business
and
if
we
got
a
summer
plan
for
you
beside
swimming
lessons,
recreation
and
lab
swims,
we
have
Friday
night
swims
for
each
of
the
4
Friday's
in
July.
These
are
drop-in
twin
sessions
from
6
p.m.
until
7:45
p.m.
and
it
is
only
$3.00
per
person.
Children
under
the
age
of
10
must
be
accompanied
by
a
paying
adult
and
teen
swims
are
for
kids
ages.

12-17
only
join
your
friends
and
neighbors
for
the
Friday
night
swim
each
Friday
night
in
July
at
the
San
Bruno
Park
pool
mark
your
calendar
for
Sunday
July
22nd.
That
is
the
day
of
the
clean
sweep
flea
market.
This
event
is
free
to
buyers.
There
will
be
tons
of
new
and
gently
used
items
for
sale
from
9
a.m.
until
4
p.m.
where
else,
but
in
city
park,
who

find
so
much
in
one
place,
join
your
friends
and
neighbors
on
Sunday
July
22nd
from

a.m.
until
4:00
p.m.
but
the
Clean
Sweep
flea
market.

sessions
continue

one-week
increments
through

adventure
camp,
there
are

camps

from
