Right.
so,
let's
get
into
meeting
the
cag.
last
time
we
met,
I
mentioned
we
were
opening
up
the
cag
for
new
people
to
apply
to
be
members..
That's
what
we
did
over
the
summer.
and
I'm
excited
to
say
that
we
now
have
thirteen
new
cag
members,
which
brings
our
total
to
nineteen
percent.
To
give
a
big
thanks
to
all
the
members
who
served
for
the
first
year
of
our
cag,
six
of
whom
decided
to
stay
on
for
another
year..
A
So
just
so,
I
can
list
them
off
real,
quick
and
again
thank
them
for
their
service,
imelda,
rodriguez,,
terry
christensen,,
matt,
gustavsen,,
biotrue,
danny
garza,,
david
veera,,
emily
schwing,
vanessa,
sheed,,
nikita
cena
and
justin
triano.,
big
thanks
to
all
you
guys..
So,
let's
good
on
to
introducing
the
current
cag
members.,
please.
A
C
C
Advocate.,
instead
of
commuting
to
work
with
train
and
bike,
I
now
commute
from
my
home
to
my
home
office
and
actually
I've
been
on
san
antonio,
quite
a
bit
also
on
the
border
to
san
jose
community
working
group.
The
downtown
and
I
represent
a
lot
of
the
transit
related
things
for
my
neighborhood
group
and
report
to
my
neighborhood
and
get
feedback
from
them..
So
I
passed
on
this
newsletter,
I
was
sent
out
yesterday
to
my
neighborhood..
Thank
you
for.
A
Everyone
knows
david
anyways,
but
he's
very
involved
in
the
community,
especially
in
portugal
over
there,
former
member
or
was
a
member
last
as
well..
Hopefully
you
get
your
your
mike
figured
out
because
I
know
you
have
a
lot
to
add
to
the
conversation.
Today.
is
bo
here?
I
see.
and
when
I
look
through,
if
not,
let's
move
on
to.
G
Well,
everybody,
my
name's
justin
triano..
Thank
you,
again,
peter,
for
putting
us
together
being
so
organized
to
get
us
all.
Here.,
really
appreciate
being
a
part
of
this.,
a
native,
so
east
side,
san
jose
and
I'm
part
of
a
group
called
community
express..
We
help
communities
connect
through
art
and
transportation
and
do
studies
to
find
more
opportunities
like
that..
We
do
so
to
succeed..
G
G

C
H
H
A
I
Here
with
you
all.,
my
name
is
peter
or
I
live
in
the
lindale
story
in
white
neighborhood.,
I'm
a
lifelong
east,
tennessee
resident
and
community
organizer,
mostly
focusing
on
issues
of
working
class
communities
and
small
business
owners..
I'm
also
the
vice
present
to
the
santa
clara
county
board
of
education
representing
east
san
josé.,
so
the
exact
areas
that
will
be
covid
and
discussed
by
this
body
and
I'm
the
public
policy
advisor
for
the
santa
clara
street
business
association.
I
J
To
to
to
get
into
the
loop
so
that
we
can
so
I
can
share
the
information
as
to
what's
planned
for
the
neighborhood,
with
with
the
with
my
neighbors
and
constituents
around
here,
because
a
lot
of
what's
been
happening.
It's
been
a
surprise
and
a
lot
of
questions
around
it,
and
I
echo
a
lot
of
what
amelda
said
in
terms
of
the.
J
Transportation
infrastructure
in
this
area,,
the
core
downtown
area.
Specific
areas,
is
crucially
important
in
any
changes
for
the
for,
for
whatever
the
motivation
may
be.,
we
have
to
get
those
communicated
to
the
neighborhood
and
get
people
actively
involved
in
this..
So
thank
you
for
inviting
me
and
I'm
here
to
learn.
thank
you.
K
K
Been
interested
in
quality
of
life
issues,
not
only
in
my
neighborhood
but
throughout
the
city
of
san
jose,
and
this
just
seem
to
be
a
natural
progression
and
being
interested
in
what's
going
on,
particularly
since
I've
recently
retired,.
I
now
have
time
to
join
late
afternoon
meetings,
which
I
didn't
have
time
before.
also.
I
feel
this
is
rather
a
personal
mission
for
me..
I've
been
considering
taking
up
bicycle
riding
and
had
never
felt
safe
enough
on
city
streets
before
to
do
it
also.
I
live
very
close
to.
K
Former
cad
group
had
vetted
that
and
approved
it,
and
I
thought
I'd
like
to
be
interested
so
that
I
can
also
get
input,
maybe
playing
devil's
advocate,
sometimes
because
it
truly
is
a
mixed
bag..
The
people
that
are
already
driving
carefully
continue
to
drive
more
carefully.
The
ones
who
don't
drive
carefully
continue
to
drive
less
carefully,
because
now
there's
no
obstacles..
So
I
know
some
of
you,
some
of
you
I
haven't
met
yet,
but
I
look
forward
to
working
with
all
of
you.
right.
thanks,
john.
M
M
N
N
N
C
C
C
O
Right.,
so
my
name
is
decola..
I
live
in
a
real
family
service
neighborhood,
which
is
on
san
antonio
street
and
essentially
just
here,
to
learn,
help
with
the
community
and
to
also
inform
my
community
of
all
the
changes
that
are
happening
because
one,
the
protected
bike
lane
changes
were
implemented..
O
A
A
P
Yes.,
yes,
I
am.
good
afternoon
everyone..
My
name
is
chala
gomez..
I
lead
the
stationary
planning
team
here
in
the
city.,
we're
planning
the
in
the
city
of
san
jose..
So
thanks
peter
for
inviting
me
to
provide
an
overview
of
what's
coming
up
and
if
I
want
servando
has
been
a
very
quick
and
maybe
if
you
have
any
more
questions,
please
feel
free
to
go
ahead.
so.
P
P
P
P
Outreach
to
the
community
and
we're
reaching
out
to
a
lot
of
the
community
based
organizations
and
our
leadership.,
and
if
I
was
community
already,
I
was
trying
to
do
this
earlier.
At
some
point.
We
plan
to
have
a
formal
community
outreach
plan
and
we
hope
to
present
that
actually
with
the
community
working
group
meeting.,
but
if
I
to
community
leader
later
this
year.
So
if
yeah.
somebody.
P
P
This
that
I'll
have
the
opportunity
to
tell
you
a
little
bit
more
about
this
specifically
related
to
the
economic,
development,,
business
displacement
and
housing
displacement..
But
the
vast
majority
of
the
work
is
related
about
updating
land
use
and
urban
design,
because
those
are
capacities
that
were
identified
in
the
u.s.
playbook.
That
city.
P
H
P
P
Potentially
we
think
that
is
possible.
however,
we're
not
necessarily
going
to
do
all
of
that.
we're
going
to
try
to
figure
it
out
how
much
of
that
is
possible..
So
when
we
look
at
the
updates,
we're
going
to
be
cognizant
of
a
bunch
of
things
and
figuring
out,
how
much
of
that
capacity
is
actually
realistic
to
be
accommodated
in
the
sustainability
plans.,
but
to
be
clear,.
The
city
of
vision
is
not
to
do
this.
P
I
I
P
Look
at
the
playbook,
basically,
it's
half
a
mile
radius
and
that
probably
covers
all
the
urban
development
boundary..
I
don't
think
there's
any
coverage..
I
think
that
maybe
a
little
caution
is
outside
or
inside
of
that
area..
But
to
answer
your
question,
I
think,
is
probably
all
the
urban
village
plan.,
so
even
not
exactly
how
many
radius,
specifically
on
the
on
the
eastern
boundary,
does
basically
that
better
than
village
plan?.
P
A
N
P
Don't
remember.
I
mean
I
can
I
can
try
to
pull
out
the
map.,
I
believe
the
boundary
of
that
urban
development
and
on
the
one
on
one
freeway,
but
I
will
take
them
back
to
you
on
that.
in
any
case,.
I
think
we'll
have
the
opportunity
to
come
back
to
you
and
and
to
show
you
exactly
where
we're
going
to
do..
We
just
wanted
to
give
you
an
introduction
today,
preliminary
conversation
about
what
we're
trying
to
do.
we're
still
working
on
the
details..
P
we're
not
prepared
to
give
you
a
full
presentation..
The
purpose
of
today's
introduction
is
basically
to
introduce
what
we're
trying
to
is
not
really
a
full
description
of
the
scope
of
what
we're
trying
to
do.
But,
as
I
said,
well,
we're
happy
to
come
back
here
and
show
you
specifically.
The
scope
of
work
is,
and
that
includes
boundaries
and
everything
else.
yeah..
So.
B
P
A
thousand
feet
around
the
project
boundaries,
meaning
the
boundaries
of
their
village
plan
through.
We
will
do
substantial
outreach
to
this
thing
through
and
efficient..
In
fact,.
We
were
thinking
of
bringing
a
consultant
who
basically
will
be
dedicated
to
do
the
outreach
and
that,
but
it
starts
with
the
process
of
basically
listing
everybody
who
has
an
interest
in
this
community,
not
only
property
owners,
but
all
the
neighborhood
organizations
and,
like
I
say
before,
community
based
organizations,
people
who
represent
the
community
and
in
fact
we
are
reaching
out
early
this
year.
P
M
M
H
Outreach
to
the
neighborhoods,
so
the
priority
outreach
group
is
going
to
be
those
neighborhoods
that
fall
within
the
urban
villages
that
we're
talking
about
right
now
and
then,
of
course,
the
second
priority
will
be
the
rest
of
the
population..
So
but
a
priority
will
be
the
four
villages
that
charla
talked
about.
So
that's
pretty.
H
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
Thank
you.
so
since
last
time
we
organized
a
walk
audit
of
the
protected
by
plaintiffs,
section
of
san
antonio
sunset's
r.f.,
with
guadalupe,
who
is
now
a
member
and
danny
and
representatives
from
county
member
crosspost
office
and
a
few
other
people
as
well.,
and
we
we
discussed
the
issues
that
I
just
mentioned,,
especially
the
state
lines..
We
also
made
some
roadway
changes
since
our
last
meeting..
I
can
go
to
next
slide..
We
stennett
the
the.
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
A
Different
data
sources
that
we're
looking
at
here,
collision
data,
speed,
data,
multimodal
volumes,
not
just
not
just
traffic
but
also
bikes,,
pets.,
dotti
observation..
So
I've
been
at
san
antonio
four,
five
times.
Already.
I've
walked
I've
ridden
my
bike.
I've
driven
pulled
in
and
out
of
driveways,
because
we
mentioned
the
the
walk
to
earlier
and
then
of.
A
A
A
A
So
I
really
appreciate
how
you
can
fill
that
out..
I
know
you
all
have
a
lot
to
say
about
san
antonio
and
then
it's
kind
of
the
purpose
of
the
cag
is
not
just
getting
your
opinions,
but
getting
you
to
share
these
kind
of
outreach
materials
with
your
neighbors
and
your
friends
and
your
various
networks
so
that
we
can
reach
a
wider
group
of
people..
So
once
we
once
we
do.
A
The
evaluation
we
collect
all
the
data
and
we
analyze
it..
We
will
issue
an
evaluation
report
which
will
include
any
recommendations
for
changes
that
we
think
are
necessary.,
and
I'm
optimistic
that
we
can
get
this
report
up
early
next
year,
hopefully
by
the
cag
meeting
in
january,
which
don't
worry,
if
you
don't
know
the
date
of
it
yet
because
we
haven't
scheduled
it
yet..
I
see.
M
M
M
A
A
A
N
N
N
O
people
are
very,
I
guess
impatient
when
it
comes
to
trying
to
find
parking
and
they
just
kind
of
like
give
up
midway
through
and
just
park
where
the
bike
lanes
are
at
a
very
limited,
multiple
emails
as
well
of
this
being
a
recurring
issue.
people
just
don't
really
seem
to
respect
the
bike
lanes
anymore,
the
impatient,
and
they
just
want
to
go
to
church.
O
A
K
Wanted
to
make
a
comment
that
it
seems
like
we're,
taking
up
a
lot
of
staff
time
with
individual
examples
of
what
may
or
may
not
be
working..
And
if
I
heard
you
right,
earlier,
peter,
that
doctor's
already
done
walk
through
and
that
the
report
will
be
ready
about
the
same
time
as
the
kagami
to
get
in
january..
Is
that
right??
K
And
I
don't
want
to
devolve
to
talking
about
that
specific
thing,
since
I
just
said:
let's
not
go
into
that.,
but
what
he
had
said
at
the
time
that
if
people
feel
that
it
isn't
working,
that
a
study
can
be
done,
which
would
take
about
six
months
or
so.
has
any
kind
of
a
study
been
done
other
than
the
dot
walk
through
to
determine
whether
the
traffic
circles
are
really
having
their
intended
effect?.
So
that's
part.
That's.
A
A
With
the
traffic
circles.,
are
they
slowing
down
cars
as
we
tend
to
them?
To?.
We
will
be
ordering
this
be
data
within
the
next
couple
weeks
and
that
will
be
part
of
the
report.
see
if
they
are
functioning
as
as
we
hoped
they
would.
ok,.
So
the
short
answer
is
it's
not
ready,
but
that
can
be
part
of
the
report..
So
this
gathering
the.
A
A
B
B
I
Projects-
I
didn't
see
that
in
the
material
that
was
provided
for
this
meeting,
but
is
there
any
proposed
projects
to
reduce
speed
in
those
areas
that
I
think
in
in
that
specific
portion
of
the
san
antonio
corridor?
There's
a
lot
of
houses
directly
on
on
the
street,
right.,
a
lot
of
kids
playing
in
that
area,
and
I.
I
Didn't
see
any
form
of
like
whether
it's
speed
circles
like
people
treat
that
as
a
highway
right
there
in
that
area.,
so
I
just
wanted
to
see
if-
and
this
is
something
that
was
discussed
in
a
previous
meeting-
please
just
refer
me
to
those
documents.-
I'm
happy
to
review
it.
yeah..
So
there's
nothing.
A
I
share
some
of
your
concerns
there..
I
think
that
the
stretch
between
king
and
twenty
fourth
is
really
difficult.
one
to
get
right?,
I
mean
you
have
a
community
that
needs
that
parking
is
not
wide
enough
for
bike
lanes,
so
we're
really
kind
of
and
there's
not,
there's
not
the
four
way
intersections
where
you
can
do
a
traditional
traffic
circle..
So
it's
challenging.,
we
didn't
have
much
included
in
this
iteration,
except
for
the
protected
by
fence
over
the
bridge
and
sort
of
the
around
those
two
intersections
on
on
either
side..
E
Quickly
add,
since
so
many
of
you
are
new
to
this
group
and
just
refreshing,
the
group
that
that
you
said
has
a
multimodal
transportation
improvement
plan
is
just
the
start
of
our
planning
process
and
these
areas,
all
the
feedback
we're
getting
about
san
antonio
today,
is
going
into
kind
of
what
the
san
antonio
look
like.
Twenty
years
from
now,
we
are
constantly
looking
for
funding
opportunities
to
make
the
streets
safer
to
traffic
more
and
we're
exploring
all
the
data
we
get
from
this
iteration
one
form:
how
do
we
make
those
traffic
circles
better??
E
Do
we
change
the
traffic
circles?
Entirely??
Do
we
add
more
hardscape
in
concrete
instead
of
plastic
posts??
So
this
is
going
to
be
a
living
project
and
that's
why
we're
so
excited
to
have
so
many
people
in
this
is
because
you
guys
are
the
first
line,
folks
that
we're
going
to
be
going
to
when
we
have
these
new
funding
opportunities,
these
new
designs,,
these
things
pop
up
all
the
time
as
grants
go..
A
Thing
for
peter's
question
you
will
hear
later
on
about
work
during
seven
by
boulevard's,
one
of
which
is
thirty
third
street,
and
that
intersects
right
there
at
san
antonio
in
that
area,
you're
talking
about.,
so
that's
a
potential
project
where
we
could
see
some
changes
to
that
area.
all
right..
So
if
we
want.
A
A
D
D
D
D
D
D
D
And
help
them
know
where
they
should
be
in
terms
of
using
the
road
to
make
all
of
it
safer
for
all
users.
and
then,
finally,
of
course,
our
big
right
bike,
boulevard
stencil
again
to
keep
drivers
and
to
the
presence
of
bike..
So
I
want
to
take
a
second
here
to
pause
and
just
see
if
there's
any
kind
of
high
level
reaction
to
this.
If
anybody
had
a
chance
to
drive
it
or
write
it
or
walk
it.
N
D
Feel
free
to
jump
in
if
there's
anything
to
add.,
but
basically
what
this
is
is
it's
to
to
basically
gauge
the
drivers
that,
when
you're
turning
you
know,,
you
shouldn't
be
driving
through
this
area
right
up
against
the
curb,
but
actually
to
say,
hey,,
stay
out
here
more
towards
the
asphalt,
and
that
does
a
couple
of
things.
one,.
D
N
E
The
short
term
version
of
this
street
like
I've,
mentioned
earlier,.
This
is
all
we
can
do
on
the
cheap.
we
go
in
with
the
paving
team.
So
when
they're
repaving
streets,
we
see
what
we
can
do
to
help
tweak
to
get
to
our
goals
of
a
common,
safer
street
for
everyone
who
uses
it..
So
we
are
always
looking
at
the
long
term.
N
E
B
B
B
Area
is
getting
a
lot
of
attention
from
us
and
that's
what
you're
seeing..
I
don't
think
it's
right
to
to
frame
this
as
somehow
on
the
cheap
or
we're
not
giving
me
final
say
it's
it's
piece
we're
specifically
actually
focusing
on
this
area,
trying
to
make
it
better
with
the
resources
we
have
on
hand,
jeff
and
justin.
J
J
J
J
B
I
mean,
I
think,
jeff's
points
are
well
taken
and
we're
doing
our
absolute
best.
we're
doing
a
lot
of
pre
education,,
putting
signs
up,
doing
our
best
honestly
firing
every
single
house
and
business
on
neighborhood
on
streets
when
we
do
do
changes
as
much
as
possible.,
but
on
this
particular
example,.
I
don't
understand
the
level
of
worry.
J
Be
quiet
just
looking
at
this.
I
haven't
seen
this
before
and
if
I
encountered
this
when
I'm
driving
or
even
walking,,
I
don't
know
what
the
that
means
is
that
I
can.
I
can
you
know,
if
I'm
a
pedestrian,
that
I
walk
across
that
t.
You
talked
about
that
t.
I've
never
seen
that
before..
I
don't
know
what
that
is
so
I
have
to.
B
L
L
G
G
G
Of
the
transportation
issues
would
take
years
to
kind
of
accomplish,
and
people
would
complain
and
complain
to
never
see
any
actual
change..
So
I
think
their
approach
right
now
is
like
what
are
some
ways
that
we
can
get
things
on
the
ground
and
get
conversations
like
this
actually
started
where
people
can
show
up
and
say:
hey.
I
don't
understand
this,
and
this
is
why
maybe
it's
just
paint
and
not
you
know,
something
that's
more
expensive
like
concrete.,
so
I.
G
Do
know
that,
you
know,,
we
work
with
the
city
a
lot
for
doing
that..
They
have
done
a
lot
of
jobs
and
in
reaching
out
to
the
community,
but
I
also
think
that's
what
this
group
is
for
is
for
us
to
get
out
there
and
talk
to
the
community
and
have
these
conversations..
So
you
know,.
I
think
I
think
the
challenges
is
for
us
just
to
get
out
there
and
make
those
connections,
but
also
again
keep
the
city
accountable
for
that.
G
see,.
The
other
thing
I
think
I
wanted
to
say
before
that,
oh
yeah.,
I
thought
I
thought.
The
changes
on
here
are
great,
coming
from
a
bicyclist
standpoint
and
I
think
with
motorists
the
more
that
we
need
them
to
pay
attention
and
assess
the
road
in
front
of
them,,
the
slower
that
they
can
go..
I
think
that's
safer
in
general.,
you
know,,
you
do
have
spaces
that
cars
can
go
freely
with
with
very
minimal.
G
G
G
Signify
a
great
presence.
is
this
expensive
and
would
it
would
it
make
any
difference
if
we
put
more
of
these,,
you
know,
in
repetition
down
this
road
just
to
say
that
bikes
are
priority
or
we're
moving
at
a
bicycle
speed
in
some
sense.,
so
that
question
and
you
know,,
I
feel
safer
on
here
than
I
do
on
san
antonio,
and
I
don't
know
if
it's
the
circle,
but
I
think
it's
just
the
culture
that
people
are
using
to
skip
traffic,
and
here
I
don't
you
know,,
there's,
there's
a
lot
of
parallel
ways
to
get
here..
G
G
A
St.
john
in
san
antonio
are
just
really
different.
Streets.
I
mean
st.
john,
you,
like
you're,
saying
you
have
a
really
great
network
around
here..
There
are
a
lot
of
alternatives
and,
of
course,
a
couple
of
years
ago
we
installed
a
deserter
at
tenth
street
and
so
there's
just
not
a
lot
of
traffic
on
st.
john..
F
F
You
know,
we'll
continue
to
try
to
do
more
on
outreach,
and
I
just
want
to
assure
you
that
we
don't
install
new
treatments
nilly..
We
have
pretty
conservative
certified
traffic
engineers
looking
at
things..
We
also
look
at
other
cities
that
have
tried
these
practices
and
they
do
generally
comply
with
california
vehicle
code
and
the
design
manuals
that
apply
to
california..
But
I
appreciate
your
candor,
jackson
or
carter.
J
J
J
J
B
B
B
J
B
F
When
there
are
problems,
pd
points
them
out
to
us.,
but
we
haven't
historically
had
problems
with
our
design
under
a
system
that
ramsey's
described..
So
if
we
were
building
lots
of
projects
and
our
system
of
not
running
everything
by
pd
had
become
a
problem,,
we
would
have
said
we
need
to
revise
the
system.
But
we
are
not
experiencing
lots
of
safety
or
police
issues
with
our
process
that
we
have
just
described.
and
you
know,.
You.
F
Hundred
projects
in
san
jose,
so
with
a
little
bit
of
experience
of
certain
types
of
projects,
usually
smaller
projects
like
this,
what
I
experience
is
a
portion
of
the
community
says:
hey,,
we
like
portion
of
the
community,
says
we
don't
care.,
we
don't
have
an
opinion.
portion
of
the
community
says
at
the
beginning.
F
This
is
really
confusing.,
I'm
having
to
slow
down
and
pay
more
attention
and
that
portion
of
the
community
that
says
this
is
confusing,,
I'm
having
to
slow
down
and
pay
more
attention
after
six
to
twelve
months
says:
oh,
I
figured
it
out
after
slowing
down
and
paying
attention,
and
now
it's
working
for
me,
so
it
is
frustrating
at
first
change
can
be
difficult
and
we're
open
to
the
community
telling
how
we
can
do
it
better.
and
also
in
my
experience
after
people
adjust
to
things
like
oh
yeah.
F
A
A
A
Those
are
the
more
detailed
cad
drawings
that
you
may
have
seen.
Before..
Those
should
be
ready
next
month..
In
the
meantime,
I've
created
an
online
meeting
for
this
project..
This
is
something
we
developed
last
year..
What
you're
seeing
here
on
the
right
side
of
the
screen
is
a
screenshot
of
the
jose.
A
I
say,
this
is
something
we
developed
last
year
at
beginning
of
the
pandemic,
because
we
can
do
in-person
meetings.,
it's
one
more
engagement,
tool,
one
more
way
to
share
information
and
get
feedback..
So
what
the
online
community
meeting
is
is
it's
a
combination
of
a
recorded
presentation
and
then
a
survey,
so
you
can
watch
it
whenever
you
want
and
then
fill
out.
The
survey.
survey
is
very
short,
just
five
questions..
What
do
you
like
about
the
time
when
you're
not
like
what
would
you
change?,
I
kind
of
think
I've
shared?
A
A
A
Then
the
last
thing
about
mcglaughlin
is:
I
would
like
to
offer
the
chance
to
meet
in
an
online
setting
with
some
of
the
neighborhood
groups.
jeff,.
I
have
this
in
my
notes.
Here.
I
figured
you
and
the
roosevelt
park.
Neighborhood
association
would
probably
be
interested
in
this
project
or
discussing
this
project.
so
be
happy
to
be
with
you.
same
with
the
olander
neighborhood
association..
I
don't
know
if
amelda
is
still
here..
I
believe
she
was
part
of
that.
and
then
also
mackinley.
A
H
H
A
A
A
E
Again
in
the
center
say,
design
process
and
community
outreach
process.
We
heard
that
there
was
such
a
need
for
slowing
down
traffic
and
he
said
would
say
that
a
lot
of
people
were
speeding,
helping
out
with
their
traffic..
A
lot
of
people
are
trying
to
get
off
of
the
busier
corridors
and
tougher
to
go
a
little
faster
again,
adding
to
that
speeding
and
a
lot
of
desire
for
better
bike,
facilities,
calmer
bike
streets
and
safer
pedestrian
streets
to
walk
around..
E
E
E
E
E
That
a
person
on
a
bicycle
can
ride
down
without
a
bike
lane
and
without
the
pressure
to
go
really
fast
or
get
out
of
the
car
way..
These
are
hyper
residential
streets.
Someone
was
noting
in
the
chat
before
where
traffic
should
be
going
pretty
slow
anyways..
The
ideal
speeds
are
under
twenty
five
miles,
an
hour,
which
is
the
posted
limit,
ideally
around
that
20
mile
per
hour,
walk
mark
so
that
anyone
in
the
street
a
person
bicycling,
a
kid
whose
ball
fell
into
the
street,.
The
driver
is
going
slow
enough
to
respond
to
safety.
E
E
Then
there's
a
lot
of
creative
room
for
how
we
get
traffic
speeds
down..
It
is
not
like
a
traditional
bike
lane
where
we
separate
from
traffic.
In
some
way,
we
have
different
ways
to
get
drivers
to
slow
down
some
of
the
first
things,
people
think
about
our
homes
and
are
definitely
being
considered
as
part
of
this
plan.,
but
other
things
that
are
being
considered
are
things
like
diverters.,
so
on
this
screen,
you'll
see
one
example
of
a
way
for
the
diverter
works
if
you've
driven
through
park.
E
E
Also
considering
more
traffic
circles-
and
we
heard
a
lot
of
comments
regarding
the
current
traffic
circles.,
one
of
them
are
here..
So
if
we're
going
to
put
in
more
traffic
circles,,
how
can
you
ensure
that
they're
doing
the
job
it's
supposed
to
do
slowing
traffic
down
to
twenty
miles
per
hour,
less
target
volume
speed
of
fifteen
miles
per
hour?
These
do
reduce
dangerous
collision
types..
The
most
dangerous
collision
type
is
deboning.
E
You
are
entering
at
an
angle
where
you
see
people
crossing
the
street
more
easily
and
you're
reducing
the
speed.
So
the
severity
of
that
crash
is
lower..
We
are
learning
from
san
antonio
different
traffic
circles
around
the
city,
so
any
traffic
circles
we
add
as
part
this
effort
will
be
better
than
the
ones
that
are
currently
in
there
now
and
be
created
with
lessons
learned
from
the
traffic
circle.
next
slide.
If.
L
E
No,
that's
a
that's
a
great
thank
you
for
sharing
that
we
are
just
in
an
action
item
from
last
time
when
we're
exploring
these
traffic
circles..
What
kind
of,
if
we're
still
using
these
quick,
build,
lower
cost
materials,?
How
can
we
still
make
sure
they're
pretty?,
so
adding
flowerpots
out
in
public
aren't
adding
we
to
talk
about.
E
E
E
next,.
If
you
have
any
ideas,,
we
can
be
in
touch
now
that
I
have
your
email
to
work
on
that,
a
little
more
other
things
that
we
can
consider
again,.
This
is
like
a
menu
of
options
that
can
be
done
in
combination
that
can
be
done
on
their
own..
We
have
chicanes,
which
is
basically
a
fancy
way
of
saying,
different
types
of
treatments
to
the
street:
to
get
cars
to
move
kind
of
in
a
wave
pattern..
This
slows
people
down..
We
know
that
straight
away
is
really
encourage
speeding..
E
E
These
are
also
distractions.
Have
opportunities
for
greening,
are
planting
things
like
that.
some
other
treatments,
we're
considering
as
part
of
these
plans
are
high
visibility,
crosswalks
all
about
which
are
extensions
of
the
corner.
That
really
do
a
lot
to
improve
pedestrian,
visibility,,
slow
down
cars
that
are
turning
and
create
a
shorter
distance
for
people
across..
So
if
you're
using
a
walker,
you
don't
have
to
cross
thirty
feet
of
crosswalk.,
maybe
it's
fifteen.
E
Twenty
also
stop
signs
where
the
community
can
stop
signs
that
will
slow
people
down,
because
sometimes
we
have
three
or
four
blocks,
not
a
stop
sign
and
that
can
encourage
speeding
again.
These
are
all
a
menu,
we're
working
with
our
engineers
and
our
consultants
right
now
to
take
all
of
these
tools
and
more
and
see
what
fits
best
for
which
street
and
the
project
area
and
working
with
you
guys
to
learn
more
about
what?
What
do
you
like?
E
E
Timeline,
engagement,
opportunities.
so
for
preliminary
designs,
we're
trying
to
get
the
first
ideas
throwing
spaghetti
at
the
was
done
pretty
quick
so
that
people
have
something
to
comment.
On..
We
will
be
having
our
first
feedback
period,
kind
of
late
fall
or
early
december.,
we'll
be
showing
designs
to
neighbors
that
live
directly
on
the
streets,
council.
Offices,
groups
like
yourselves,
neighborhood,
associations,
nonprofits
that
serve
folks
in
the
area
to
get
their
feedback.
E
E
E
E
So
again,
this
is
just
the
the
seed
has
just
been
planted
on
this..
If
you
saw
a
big
group
of
people,
invest
your
writing
this
last
week
with
the
engineers
to
take
a
tour
of
the
neighborhood
and
see
everything
so
that
we're
making
sure
that
we're
not
missing
any
changes
or
anything
obvious
but
open
for
questions.
danny,.
I
see
him
to.
N
N
E
E
G
G
E
E
G
G
We
see
a
lot
of
that
in
in
like
the
negley
park
area.
Here
is
difficult
as
far
as
like,
because
that's
a
whole,
that's
that's.
Cutting
off
a
whole
street..
Is
that
difficult
to
get?
you
know,,
do
you?
Are
you
optimistic?
If
we
propose
that
I
look
through
it,?
Is
that
going
to
be
done?
Shovel
ready??
I
guess
I
was
going
to
be
the.
E
Know
that
wherever
we
put
these,
it's
going
to
be
really
context
sensitive
and
specific..
We
can't
just
add
it
without
thinking
about
what
it
does
to
the
side,
streets,
what
it
does
for
connectivity,
what
it
does
for
people
living
there..
So
we
would
not
do
this
without
throw
outreach,,
thorough
analysis
and
and
community
buy
in..
There
are
other
ways
that
we
could
do.
E
G
E
The
money
not
spread
evenly
but
spread
pretty
evenly
to
pay
for
all
seven
projects..
If
we
find
that,
maybe
one
street
is
going
to
cost
less
than
the
other,
maybe
we
can
shift
some
money
or
show
that
one
street
was
a
higher
priority
and
would
cost
more
than
the
others..
We
have
to
work
with
a
funder
as
each
of
those
situations,
pops
up..
So
if
there's
one
street
you
think
is
going
to
need
more
investment
than
the
others,.
E
We're
happy
to
talk
with
you
guys
and
say
to
make
this
the
best
and
most
effective
bike
boulevard.
It's
going
to
take
a
little
more
than
maybe
the
suffolk
street
and
until
see
that
there's
wiggle
room..
But
it's
it's
more
like
you
have
to
ask
a
case
by
case
then
they're
not
going
to
tell
you.
You
have
too
much
freedom
of
french
shout
out.
Everybody.
G
E
D
D
D
I
E
E
Plants
or
bushes,
things
like
that.,
so
the
cars
have
to
zigzag
this
way
and
it
doesn't
affect
it
doesn't
need
with
to
go.
it's
more
like
setting
up
a
maze,
but
it's
super
again
context.
Sensitive.,
we
have
to
go
out
like
the
same
bike.
Every
street
walk
every
street,
make
sure
that
all
these
things
fit
in
the
best
places
possible.
So
I
will
say
that
on
our.
A
A
E
M
M
E
E
Have
to
go
street
by
street.,
we
what
we
just
want
people
to
go
slow
and
there's
what
many
ways
to
do
that.
so
through
this
design
process.
If
it's
super
street
block
by
block
specific
and
we'll
be
looking
again
at
that
menu
of
options,,
I'm
saying
maybe
we
can't
fit
the
white
stuff
here..
Maybe
it's
five
speed,
humps
or
a
stop
sign
somewhere.
That's
missing
things
like
that.,
ok,
on
all
four.
M
E
Yet.,
so
you
guys
are
the
first,
not
the
first
to
hear
about
this.,
but
one
of
the
first-
and
this
is
just
again
planting
that
seed
of
like
hey,.
We
got
this
money..
Here's
the
things
we're
thinking
about
here,
the
goals
from
a
huge
outreach
process
that
have
been
kind
of
pre
pandemic
to
to
figure
to
different
problems,
transportation,
problems
that
are
happening
in
the
community..
E
E
Pandemic
timing:
we
will
get
the
first
ideas
from
the
engineers
kind
of
what
is
possible
places
like
you.
What,
with
what
other
issues.
things
like
that.,
we'll
get
the
first
batch
of
ideas,
then
october
to
december,
or
even
later,
if
we
need
to.,
we
will
be
talking
with
neighborhood
groups
and
showing
them
all
the
menu,,
the
options,.
E
E
All
that
feedback
and
go
back
to
the
engineers
and
say
hey,,
we
heard
this.
what
what
else
can
you
do?
what
switch
around
for
us
then
in
january,
we'll
get
what
we
call
our
sixty
five
percent
design
or
a
little
more
detail.,
we'll
know
just
how
wide
the
things
are,
just
how
much
space
they're
going
to
take
up
and
we'll
come
back
to
the
community
saying
like
hey,?
E
Does
this
fix
the
concerns
you
had??
Does
this
address
the
problems
that
you
brought
up
or
does
this
meet
the
solutions
you
wanted,
and
that
will
happen
in
january.
and
again,?
All
of
this
is
just
the
the
beginnings
these
plans.
This
is
the
first
batch
of
money
that
we're
getting.
we're
applying
for
more
and
more..
We
go
to
keep
doing
more
and
more
in
the
community,
but
I
love
getting.
E
E
Of
these
are
bike
lanes,
they're,
just
they're,
just
residential
streets,
that
people
reported
and
we
got
data
that
people
are
speaking.
There
is
cut
through
traffic..
There
are
people
not
yielding
pedestrians,
and
we
bikes
have
the
you
know:
they're
allowed
by
law
to
be
on
the
street.,
so
we
just
want
to
slow
them.
Down,
make
sure
that
everyone's
abiding
by
it.,
so
this
is
these-
are
streets
that
were
identified
as
residential,
that
they
don't
need
they're,
not
main
thoroughfares.
That
people
need
to
cut
through.
E
Also
that
they
might
lead
to
something
like
thirty
third
leads
to
the
school
or
the
elementary
school..
It
also
leads
to
silver
creek
trail
in
the
future..
Twenty
eighth
will
lead
to
a
park
in
the
future,
so
they
provide
some
connectivity
for
bikes
that
might
not
feel
safe
on
those
big
streets
like
to
go
on
the
slower
more
come
out
of
the
common..
Well,.
E
To
be
playing
whack
a
mole
with
these
streets,
so
we're
working
with
our
engineers
to
make
sure
that
if
we
fix
one,
it
doesn't
just
shift
the
problems
over..
So
the
insights
that
you
might
already
shared
with
people
but
we'll
be
in
touch
to
learn
more
about
what
what
people
might
think
those
are
and
always
be.
E
Great
feedback.
thanks
and
we'll
be
working
so
again,
twenty
eighth!
This
is
a
perfect
opportunity
to
look
into
that.
Stop
sign
and
possibly
get
it,
but
then
working
with
our
other
departments
that
can
possibly
find
a
is
on
the
side
streets
to
make
sure
that
they're
hearing
the
comments
to
so
that
we're
not
working
in
silos.
Just.
E
G
G
Areas
where
you
tell
people
that
are
safer
to
ride
in
these
shared
spaces,,
you
know
they're,
they're,
they're,
more
stressful,
because
they're
we're
sharing
this
space
with
cars
and
they
push
up
on
you
a
lot.,
so
bike
boulevard's
that
don't
have
diverters
or
chickens
are
very
difficult,
and
I
guess
I'm
saying
to
everybody
else:
that's
listening!
Maybe
you
might
help
with
providing
some
data
about
how
bike
boulevard's
do
help
or
if
there's
anything
like
that,
that
that
can
help,
because
personally
I
anything
to
slow
down
cars
in
general
with
me
is
great.
G
So
if
we
can
work
around
the
city
to
do
that,
but
I
just
want
to
put
on
there
that
it's
very
tricky
with
bike
boulevard's,
because
sometimes
you
get
pinched
in
and
you
have
nowhere
to
escape
and
the
cars
are
just
on
you
and
unless
conflict
driven
you're
not
going
to
escape
that
you're
going
to
get
back
on
the
sidewalk..
So
I
just
kind
of
want
to
put
that
out
there..
But
you
guys,
you
guys,
have
heard
this.
I've
been
doing
this
for
years..
You
guys
heard
the
complaints,
so
so
thank
you.
E
Point.,
the
only
way
these
are
going
to
work
if
we
shift
the
whole
mood
of
the
street
so
that
cars
don't
feel
like
they
can
come
behind
you
and
lean
on
that
horn
and
get
you
out
of
the
way
that
they're
entering
a
neighborhood
they're
entering
a
place
where
a
kid
might
pop
out
at
any
time.
A
five
can
be
learning
how
to
ride
their
bicycle
on
the
street,
and
that
takes
a
lot
of
work
and
diverters
are
the
best
way
to
do
that,
because
that
means
cars
can't
be
there.
so
again,.
