A
A
Here,
okay,
so
we
have
a
quorum.
Approval
of
the
agenda
is
our
first
item.
Are
there
any
changes
from
staff.
A
Okay,
do
you
want
to
give
just
a
brief
explanation
as
to
why?
Because
this
is
new
to
me,
I
didn't
so,
do
we
know
why.
A
Okay,
great
and
then
I
would
like
to
see-
I
don't
know
how
councilwoman
romero
worth
feels
about
this,
but
I
think
this
is
also
a
quality
of
life
issue
and
talking
about
pools.
So
I
don't
know
if
you
wanted
to.
I
saw
that
it
I
see
it
was
going
to
be
introduced
and
financed
today
at
public
works
and
utilities
committee,
but
I
don't
see
quality
life
committee
as
a
committee
listed
to
take
up
this
issue,
but
I
don't
know
what
your
thoughts
are
as
the
chair
of
that.
E
I
wonder
mr
chair,
if
that
was
because
they
were
trying
to
get
it
to
governing
body
by
the
26th.
A
E
Because
we
meet
this
week
and
then
we
won't
meet
again
until
june
2nd,
so
I
think
they
were
trying
the
reason
they
skipped
quality
of
life
is
they
are
trying
to
get
it
to
governing
body
by
the
end
of
the
month.
A
A
Okay,
well
we'll
we'll
we'll
we'll
note
it
as
postponed
for
now
and
then
we'll
just
we'll
see
if
it
what
happens
at
public
works
and
if
it
goes
to
the
26
council
meeting
or
not
so,
okay,
any
other
changes
to
the
agenda.
A
Second,
second,
okay,
can
I
have
a
roll
call?
Please.
A
Yes,
okay,
so
that
brings
us
to
approval
of
the
consent
agenda.
Are
there
items
that
any
members
of
the
committee
want
to
pull
from
the
consent
agenda.
D
F
A
A
D
Thank
you,
mr
chair.
Thank
you
staff
for
being
with
us
and
also
to
the
staff
of
the
santa
fe
business
incubator,
and
I
I
am
wholly
supportive
of
your
work
and
the
kind
of
access
you
have
in
the
community
and
the
resources
you
provide,
and
I
guess
I
just
wanted
to
if
you
could
reiterate
to
us,
because
it
didn't
really
explain
in
this
way
how
you're
able
to
reach
other
diverse
populations,
specifically
the
spanish-speaking
populations
that
want
to
utilize
your
services.
D
It
wasn't
clear
in
the
contract,
so
I
was
hoping.
Maybe,
ms
long,
sir,
I
never
get
your
name
right,
lung
surrey.
How
do
you
say
your
last
name
marie.
D
C
We
do
a
lot
of
different
things
because
getting
the
word
out
to
any
population,
whether
it's
the
biotech
folks
with
high
tech
or
the
folks
working
on
manufacturing
or
service
businesses,
or
whatever
requires
a
lot
of
different
ways
to
reach
into
the
community
and
the
most
effective
way.
We've
done
that
with
all
of
our
different
constituents
is
a
lot
through
partnerships.
C
Partnerships
like
with
the
hispano
chamber,
partnerships
with
other
organizations
that
do
small
business
lending
and
specialty
programs,
partnerships
with
all
the
different
groups
that
serve
for
different
constituents
for
business
services
and
so
forth.
C
We
do
have
a
really
large
following
on
facebook,
and
actually
a
couple
of
our
immigrant
owned
businesses
found
us
there
initially
and
then
I
know
it
sounds
a
little
lame,
but
word
of
mouth
is
really
a
big
way
that
business
incubators
across
this
country
and
across
the
world
get
the
word
out.
So
as
we
work
with
different
groups-
and
we
bring
in
you
know
green
choice,
cleaning
run
by
a
mother-daughter
immigrant,
a
couple-
they
tell
friends
and
people
bring
up
people,
and
so
so
I
don't
think,
there's
any
magic
formula
to
it.
C
We
try
and
stay
up
with.
What's
going
on
in
the
community,
I
know
recently,
we
were
part
of
a
group.
Janice
may
be
able
to
talk
to
this
a
little
bit
more
on
that
the
city's
looking
into
what
can
be
done
on
the
south
side
to
help
the
merchants
there
which
we'd
work,
mostly
with
startups,
not
necessarily
those
that
are
already
going,
but
you
know
the
community
knows
each
other,
and
so
we
were
part
of
that
conversation
and
those
programs
going
forward.
C
G
Yeah
and
mr
chair
counselor
via
real,
if
I
could
just
add
to
that,
thank
you,
murray
and
yeah.
So
I
believe
the
incubator
also
offers
spanish
translation
on
site.
Is
that
correct
marie.
G
Yeah
yeah,
thank
you
and
also
reaching
the
south
side.
Community
is
really
important
to
us
in
economic
development.
So
I
just
also
want
to
add
that
there
is
a
lot
of
grassroots
work
going
on
in
the
south
side,
with
our
community
tutors
they're
called
community
tutors,
but
they're
kind
of
like
navigators
within
the
southside
community.
That
know
the
families
there
that
are
doing
direct
outreach
to
that
community
through
through
the
earth
care
group.
G
So
these
community
community
tutors
are
working
now
and
they're,
pointing
out
resources
that
the
city
has
for
them
that
they
may
or
may
not
know
about
to
get
them
through
the
pandemic.
They're
providing
tutoring
services
they're
also,
basically
filling
a
gap
in
the
communication,
so
they're
bridging
that
gap
and
they're
doing
really
important
work.
So
this
will
be
a
program
for
sure
that
we
will
let
the
community
tutors
know
about
so
that
they
can
further
spread.
The
word.
D
That's
great
to
hear
thank
you
marie
and
janice
for
clarifying.
I
was
just
thinking
about
how,
in
the
past
score,
when
we
work
with
score,
they
started
hosting
spanish
trainings.
They
were
actually
held
in
spanish
and
before
the
pandemic
hit,
there
was
actually
a
lot
more
interest.
They
were
starting
to
grow,
and
so
I
was
just
curious
how
you
all
were
either
partnering
or
how
you
see
yourselves
moving,
especially
as
it
relates
to
like
resources
and
trainings
that
will
be
held
in
in
other
languages
or
spanish,
specifically.
C
Mr
councillor
council,
mr
chair
counselor,
excuse
me:
I've
got
you
back,
you
know.
Score
has
been
a
really
important
long-term
partner
and
we
offer
them
an
office
on
the
south
side,
so
they
actually
hold
office
hours
there
and
have
meetings
there,
and
then
we've
hosted
most
of
their
in-person
meetings
and
actually
help
them
as
they
transition
online.
I
am
delighted
to
tell
you
that,
of
all
the
programs
we've
run
and
partner
programs,
we've
helped
with
they've,
actually
been
better
attended
and
more
people
coming
than
even
before
the
pandemic
in
person.
C
C
D
Great,
I
just
wanted
to
clarify
that,
and-
and
I'm
glad
you
answered
my
other
question
about
thinking
about
other
ways-
to
reach
out
now
that
there's
virtual
options
and
maybe
that
will
actually
allow
more
people
to
participate
in
some
instances.
So
I'm
glad
to
hear
that.
That's
all
I
have
mr
chair.
Thank
you
marie
and
janice.
A
A
Yes,
okay,
so
that
concludes
our
action
items
matters
from
staff.
Thank
you.
A
All
right,
thank
you.
Matters
from
the
committee
mathem
councilman
vrayal
concert
lindau
from
merrell.
Okay
matters
from
the
chair.
I
don't
have
anything.
Our
next
meeting
is
tuesday
june
1st
2021.
So
with
that
we
are
adjourned.
Thank
you.
