um
Chairman,
if
I
could
yes,
um
I
guess
the
governing
body
had
requested
to
see
items
that
were
going
to
be
requested
to
publish
at
a
committee
prior
to
seeing
the
requested
published
at
the
governing
body
meeting.
And
so
this
is
that
opportunity
uh
to
have
a
conversation
about
them,
because
you
will
see
them
on
the
agenda
on
wednesday
for
request
to
publish.
F
G
A
Yeah,
so
this
is,
this
is
fairly
new
for
us
I
mean
we
don't
typically
have
requests
to
publish
coming
to
committee
meetings,
but
we
probably
should
have
attachments
with
them.
um
Councilwoman,
behold,
copper.
When
it
comes
to
that
point,
we
can.
You
can
either
ask
questions
or
we
can
uh
take
some
other
action
at
the
committee
level.
If
you
sort
of
choose.
E
A
H
A
C
I
I

C
B
H
A
K
K
um
So
what
they
do
is
they
receive
the
training
via
email,
they're,
able
to
watch
videos
to
take
quizzes
interact
and
the
software
program
that
he
uses
um
actually
tracks
the
uh
the
training,
the
training
credits,
uh
the
scores
of
the
of
the
test
who
attended
it,
and
so
it's
actually
a
pretty
good
program
that
now
has
been
rolled
out
to
the
rest
of
the
water
division
and
so
the
the
water
division
specifically
source
of
supply.
Tnd
have
also
begun
using
that
software,
and
we
are
now
transitioning
wastewater
to
use
that
software.
K
So
again,
I
want
to
make
myself
available
to
answer
any
questions
for
the
existing
training,
but
I
also
wanted
to
point
out
that
the
city
has
some
pretty
interesting
next
steps,
and
so
I
do
have
representatives
from
hr,
specifically
ashley
varela
who's
here
that
at
the
appropriate
time,
I'd
like
to
have
her
introduce
kind
of
the
next
step
for
the
city,
which
is
a
local
gov
university.
A
local
gov
view
that
I
think
mimics
this
um
this
outreach.
So
I'm
pretty
excited
about
what
they're
doing.
K
I
think
it
builds
on
uh
some
of
the
training
platforms
that
utilities
already
has
definitely
puts
more
tools
in
the
toolbox
for
supervisors
and
getting
those
safety
meetings
out.
So
if
I
made
mr
chair
members
of
the
committee,
I'd
like
to
just
open
it
for
questions
anything
specific
to
my
memo
and
when
it's
appropriate,
I
would
like
to
ask
mrs
barella
to
just
highlight
the
the
next
steps
for
the.
A
E
Thank
you,
uh
mr
chair,
uh
shannon.
Thank
you
very
much
for
the
report.
I
I'm
just
I'm
very
impressed
for
all
the
things
that
are
going
on
and
I
think
it's
really
important
to
always
keep
safety
at
the
top
of
every
employees,
plus
every
division,
section,
department,
head
and
and
managers
and
supervisors.
E
K
um
Mr
chair
counselor
bill
koppler.
um
Yes,
so
definitely
um
so
cesar
manages
that
I
think
the
reason
it's
it's
various
multiples
is
this
specific
to
bdd,
but
it's
also
specific
to
the
trades
um
that
work
there.
So
again,
I
think
you
get
a
different
uh
training
module
for
for
maintenance
or
operations
or
the
lab
techs,
even
administrative
staff.
K
E
K
K
I
did
not
include
them
on
this
presentation
um
because
it
was
the
training,
uh
so
typically
the
city
safety
training
puts
a
majority
of
the
responsibility
at
the
safety
manual
on
supervisors,
and
so
when
you
look
at
our
list
of
trainings,
typically
they're,
facilitated
by
either
supervisors
or
by
managers
that
make
those
happen,
I
do
know
our
safety
team
does
um
have
interaction.
I've
dealt
with
them
multiple
times
on
specific
issues
right
where
they
kind
of
dig
down
into
the
details
of
accident
reports
or
near
misses.
K
E
Oh,
no,
I
I
don't
bring
it
up,
thank
you
for
for
taking
the
sword
or
whatever,
but
that's
not
that
wasn't
at
all
what
I
was
what
I
was
thinking
I
was
just.
I
was
more
so
wanting
the
safety
office
to
have
uh
more
of
a
presence
uh
to
know
what's
going
on
in
this
city,
because
that
is
their
bailiwick
and
I
and
I
and
I'll
say
it's
a
little
bit.
E
um
You
know
it
comes
from
the
background
I
had
when
I
worked
at
the
city-
and
you
may
have
heard
this
before
uh
the
safety
office
was
under
hr.
uh
The
hr
department,
when
I
worked
here,
worked
there
wherever
we
are
in
space,
uh
but
uh
uh
they
were
very
involved
in
everything
that
went
on
in
this.
uh
They
didn't.
They
didn't
conduct
all
of
the
training,
but
if
there
was
any
kind
of
training
going
on,
they
knew
about
it.
They
you
know.
Sometimes
they
can
learn
for
the
peop
from
the
people
too.
E
So
it's
a
it's
a
double-sided
plus
uh
where
they
can
learn
if
they're
present,
just
to
you
know,
what's
going
on
in
the
organization
um
and
also
you
know
they
can
certainly
um
give
you
know
just
give.
Give
some
assistance
to
employees
in
the
future
if
they
already
know
that
some
of
these
things
are
going
on.
I
I
would
my
vision
is-
is
to
see
a
team
effort.
E
You
know,
because
safety
is
important
to
everybody,
and-
and
I
don't
I
see
safety
as
an
enforcement
arm,
but
also
uh
an
arm
where,
where
they
can
learn-
and
they
can-
you
know,
be
there
in
the
future
to
to
provide
advice
and
assistance
if
they
are
aware
of
the
training
that
employees
have
gone
through.
So
um
I
I
just
you
know,
I
know
there's
certain
cases,
certain
things
that
have
come
before
the
governing
body,
uh
where
safety
maybe
should
have
been
involved,
and
so
I'm
paying
a
lot
more
attention
now.
E
E
I'm
hopeful
that
the
employees
know
how
important
it
is
and
that
they're
excited
about
it
so
that
they
can
know
that
they're
doing
their
job
safely
and
they're
they're
trained
to
do
it
safely
and
that
there
are
people
to
turn
to
if
they
have
questions
or
comments
about
doing
something
in
the
correct
way
before
something
bad
happens,
or
they
get
a
disciplinary
action
or
something
like
that.
So
um
thank
you
very
much.
There's
a
lot
of
work
going
on
and-
and
I
appreciate
the
report
you
gave.
A
A
All
right,
thank
you.
I
imagine
it
has
to
be
a
hybrid,
because
I
looked
as
I
looked
through
some
of
this,
like
review
of
sop
procedures,
that's
going
to
be
specific
to
us,
probably
lift
station
on
monte
sereno.
That's
gonna
be
specifically
to
us,
so
it's
probably
gonna
have
to
be
a
hybrid,
a
model,
but
it
looks
it
looks
really
good
right
now.
I
did
have
a
question
about:
let's
just
go
to
the
first
page,
where
it
talks
about.
A
K
Mr
chair,
that
is,
that
is
correct,
um
so
the
training
schedule
is
laid
out
um
typically
within
a
month
or
a
couple
within
a
month
uh
on
that
particular
one
um
either.
Maybe
there
are
some
people,
um
some
people
who
are
absent
that
day
or
um
or
we
didn't
do
we
didn't
do
a
follow-up,
um
so
the
intent
was
that
it
was
available
for
everyone.
K
K
uh
Mr
chair
members
of
the
committee,
um
so
for
certification
and
water
and
wastewater
you
are
required
continuing
education
credits.
Safety
meetings
can
be
considered
by
the
state.
To
accept
those,
I
would
say.
Typically,
safety
meetings
would
be
given
at
half
credit
um
right.
So
a
one
hour
safety
meeting
would
give
you
a
half
hour
of
continuing
education
credit.
So
we
do
submit
those
where
safety
meetings
from
our
section
um
really
it's
required.
What
we're
looking
for
is
a
monthly
safety
meeting
once
a
month
at
a
minimum
that
there's
an
engagement.
K
We
don't
frame
it
within
the
hours
because
we
know
some
some
change
and
we
want
to
leave
that
flexibility.
It
could
be
as
simple
as
a
15-minute
tailgate
talk
um
that
we
use
in
the
field,
um
but
I've
seen
elaborate
trainings,
where
we've
leaned
on,
like
the
fire
department
right
for
a
for
a
half
day,
confined
space
entry.
K
K
We
do
use
that
for
certification,
for
credits,
but
it
wouldn't
necessarily
serve
to
meet
all
their
credits
for
certification,
renewal.
We
would
add
other
operational
portions,
some
workshops
or
trainings
that
the
state
may
offer
or
our
short
school
offered
by
the
new
mexico,
water,
wastewater
association
or
a
couple
that
come
to
mind
so
hopefully
that
that
helps
explain.
K
A
A
Yes,
sir,
so
in
the
future
we
could
just
spell
it
out,
not
everyone's
going
to
know
what
l-o-t-o
means,
but
um
if
we
can
spell
it
out
so
everybody's
aware
that
would
be
helpful
and
then
maybe
uh
just
a
column
uh
not
only
on
the
number
of
employees,
but
the
percentage
of
how
many
employees
were
were
done.
So
40
is
100,
then
that's
great.
um
If
if
it
was
required
for
all
and
only
50
uh
took
it,
that's
you
know,
probably
something
pretty
important
to
know.
A
M
A
M
M
Apologize,
I'm
going
to
unplug
my
power
to
see
if
that
helped.
Any
director
jones
asked
me
this
evening
to
be
a
part
of
the
meeting
to
do
a
brief
presentation
regarding
some
of
the
city-wide
training
efforts
that
we
are
doing
and
that
we
are
rolling
out,
um
and
so,
if
it's
okay
with
um
your
chairman
and
the
committee,
I
have
a
brief
presentation
available
if
you're,
if
the
time
permits.
M
M
Localgovu
is
a
leader
in
online
training
and
provides
an
ability
to
complete
training,
that's
necessary,
but
isn't
always
readily
available
in
person.
What
we've
learned
through
covid
this
year
is
that
we
have
a
lot
of
restrictions
and
safety
measures
in
place
and
we
do
not
want
to
reduce
our
ability
to
train
our
employees,
but
coordinating
these
trainings
can
be
a
little
more
challenging
than
before.
M
M
Local
gov
view
is
really
easy
to
use
and
it
keeps
track
of
all
of
your
training
history
and
it
will
give
employees
an
opportunity
to
grow
and
succeed
and
no
matter
the
department
or
division.
There
are
so
many
different
training
courses
that
are
available
this
little
image
off
to
the
right
hand,
side
of
the
screen
is
kind
of
what
the
platform
looks
like,
and
so
employees
will
have
a
personalized
training
platform
and
dashboard.
M
With
local
w,
they
offer
a
variety
of
training
topics
anywhere
from
customer
service.
The
topic
today
was
regarding
safety
trainings.
There
are
a
vast
variety
of
safety
trainings
that
we
will
be
partnering
with
the
safety
division,
which
is
now
under
emergency
management,
so
that
they
will
also
have
the
ability
to
assign
and
utilize
the
trainings
that
are
offered
through
local
w
if
it
meets
the
criteria
that
they
are
looking
for
um
in
assigning
those
out
to
staff.
In
addition,
there
is
management,
skills,
professional
skills,
training,
human
resources,
water
and
waste
water.
You
name
it.
M
M
In
the
previous
weeks,
we've
already
had
200
employees
that
have
activated
their
training
account
and
we're
really
excited
about
that
and
will
continue
to
get
to
a
hundred
percent
of
all
employees,
activating
their
training
account
to
access
local
gov.
U
employees
will
be
able
to
um
go
to
this
website
listed
here
and
we've
already
sent
out
step-by-step
instructions
on
how
to
activate
their
training
dashboard,
and
it's
really
easy
and
can
be
completed
in
four
easy
steps.
M
M
To
get
started
with
local
webview
we'll
be
beginning
with
a
core
curriculum,
which
is
a
learning
plan
um
that
has
the
foundational
courses
that
are
important
for
all
employees
and
we've
listed
them
here
below.
So
we
will
start
with
ethical
behavior
for
local
government
diversity
in
the
workplace,
anti-harassment
in
the
workplace,
sexual
harassment
in
the
workplace
and
workplace
bullying.
So
this
will
build
our
core
curriculum
for
all
city
employees.
M
After
the
employees
have
activated
their
accounts,
they
will
be
assigned
to
this
curriculum
and
the
employees
will
receive
credit,
and
they
will
also
receive
a
personalized
certificate
of
completion
for
each
course
and
it'll
log.
Their
training
in
their
dashboard
will
also
have
the
ability
to
run
comprehensive
reports
on
where
employees
are
at
in
their
progress
of
completing
the
training.
So
this
is
just
the
start
of
what
we're
rolling
out.
M
I
J
I
Don't
have
any
clue
of
how
to
get
those
60
communications
uh
to
cynthia
we,
I
won't
say
we.
I
need
training
in
that.
Maybe
some
of
the
other
counselors
are
very,
very
good
at
it,
but
um
I
don't
have
any
clue
of
how
to
select
60
different
uh
emails
that
have
come
in
over
the
course
of
two
different
years
and
get
them
into
a
file
and
get
them
sent
to
cynthia.
I
E
You
chair,
I
I
wanted
to
ask
um
ashley
some
questions
about
the
training.
um
Oh
there
you
are
I'm
like.
Where
is
she
um
this?
This
won't
replace
like
hands-on
group
training
after
covid
and
all
that
right,
because
I
know
that
when,
when
you
do
training,
you
get
a
great
deal
out
of
group
discussion
and
you
learn
from
situations
others
have
had.
M
M
But
it's
only
again
it's
just
a
tool
in
our
toolbox
and
we
look
forward
to
having
the
opportunity
to
have
in-person
trainings
again
or
even
zoom
trainings,
and
so
one
of
the
ideas
that
we
have
within
our
office
in
utilizing
local
w
is
to
also
offer
some
of
these
trainings
in.
Like
a
part,
one
in
part,
two
series
where
part
one
is
employees,
would
complete
the
training
online
and
then
part
two
is
where
those
that
have
completed
the
training.
M
We
then
have
a
discussion
about
that,
because
we
could
do
a
topic
such
as
fmla
and
that
will
just
go
over.
um
You
know
the
topic
at
the
local
view
level.
um
You
know
at
the
highest
level
possible,
but
we
also
still
need
to
talk
about
internal
processes,
procedures
policy
so
on
and
so
forth,
and
so
we
want
to
be
able
to
partner
and
complement
what
local
gov.
U
offers,
but
also
still
have
that
discussion
and
interaction
with
our
employees
when
it's
when
the
time
seems
appropriate,
depending
on
the
course
that
we're
offering
thank
you.
M
um
Mr
chairman,
councillor
hill
coupler,
I
can
take
that
question,
um
so
it
is
a
an
agreement
that
we
entered
into
with
local
uh
w
and
um
it's
it's
on
an
annual
basis.
So
hopefully,
um
as
the
fiscal
years
come,
we
will
be
um
granted
the
opportunity
to
have
this
be
placed
in
our
budget,
as
ashley
mentioned,
to
complement
our
um
training
programs.
A
A
M
Mr
chair,
yes,
that
is
correct.
um
The
platform
at
also
provides
for
the
ability
for
us
to
upload
what
they
call
community
courses,
and
so
it's
our
own
individual
content
that
we
would
be
able
to
create
trainings,
for
it
could
be
a
video
presentation
that
we
could
add,
or
it
could
be
something
as
simple
as
a
powerpoint
and
departments
will
also
have
the
ability,
while
we
partner
with
them
to
add
their
own
customized
uh
tests
or
quizzes
along
the
way.
So
there's
a
lot
of
um
flexibility
and
opportunity
within
the
platform.
A
M
Mr
chairman,
that's
a
really
good
question,
and
um
so
when
we
first
started
rolling
this
out,
we
have
talked
with
barbara
lujan
and
kyle
mason,
since
they
now
report
under
emergency
management,
and
so
as
we
continue
to
develop
the
courses
and
the
curriculum
that
will
be
granted
to
employees
that
the
access
that
they'll
be
granted.
uh
We
will
meet
before
the
safety
courses
are
released
and
making
sure
that
it's
appropriate
and
also
working
with
the
department,
directors
and
supervisors
to
make
sure
that
it
aligns
with
their
operations
as
well.
A
M
Mr
chairman,
I
think
um
you
know
there's
there's
pros
and
cons
to
having
safety
in
different
divisions
or
departments.
um
I
think
safety
in
the
city
of
santa
fe
has
bounced
around
to
several
departments
throughout
the
years
and
when
you
look
at
other
organizations,
sometimes
it's
in
hr,
sometimes
it's
actually
in
the
legal
department.
M
M
When
we
looked
at
the
transition
from
hr
to
emergency
management,
looking
at
the
from
the
safety
perspective,
um
what
emergency
management
was
doing
on
a
larger
scale
safe,
the
safety
staff
were
trying
to
do
on
a
smaller
scale
with
city
staff,
and
so
I
think
there
was
a
lot
of
um
integration
there.
So
that
was
the
discussion,
um
but
you
know
we're
happy
to
to
explore
that
more
as
we
as
we
move
forward.
A
A
If
it
was
applicable,
um
it
makes
a
lot
of
sense
to
me
to
be
in
hr
and
as
we
go
through
the
rest
of
the
year,
I
would
really
like
some
good
assessment
as
to
how
well
the
communication
is
working
and
whether
it's
actually
in
the
right
place
a
recommendation
at
some
point
as
to
whether
uh
it
should
stay
where
it's
at
or
potentially
move
back.
So
I
know
it
puts
you
on
the
spot
a
little
bit
but
again,
um
I
think
you're
up
to
the
task
and
can
provide
that
information.
E
A
A
Thank
you,
mr
chair.
I
hope
that
uh
mr
uh
our
counselor
beta
hope
that
was
okay.
I
know
that
runs
into
uh
probably
more
of
the
finance
and
it
does
public
works,
um
but
I
I
think
it's
important
for
us
and
I
hope
that
was
okay
yeah.
I
agree.
Thank
you,
mr
chair.
Thank
you
all
right.
Any
other
questions.
A
D
Thank
you,
mr
chair
members
of
the
committee.
um
I
think,
in
summary,
um
you
can
see
from
our
public
works
safety
report
that
there
has
been
a
huge
effort
in
focusing
on
covet
safety.
Of
course,
public
works
was
responsible
to
provide
all
the
disinfection
uh
throughout
the
city
facilities.
So
we
did
a
lot
of
training
with
the
custodians
um
we
trained
ourselves.
D
um
Quite
a
bit
on.
You
know
best
practices
and
then
deploying
fogging.
um
You
know,
transit
was
providing
uh
transportation
and
still
is
to
people
that
are
that
may
have
cobit
or
do
have
kobit,
so
they
immediately
ramped
up
and
got
best
practices
for
making
the
buses
safe
for
the
drivers
and
lots
of
procedures
there.
D
E
D
Had
here,
yes,
you
can
see
specifically
um
some
some
of
the
directors
call
out
the
fact
that
some
of
the
training
was
provided
by
safety
and,
of
course
we
were
a
lot.
um
We
did
a
lot
of
research
from
a
facilities
perspective
or
a
transit
perspective
on
our
own,
but
of
course,
safety
in
hr.
Were
it
completely
invaluable
and
really
giving
guidance
for
how
we
were
going
to
make
our
workplace
safe
and
that
that
guidance
was
used
extensively
and
um
helped
us
with
reporting
and
um
and
our
system
so
yeah?
They
were
quite
involved
great.
A
Again,
I
can't
see
you
all
on
one
screen,
so
I'm
moving
around
okay,
don't
see
any
uh
miss
wheeler
um
if
you,
mr
jones,
can
get
together
and
and
sort
of
decide
which,
how
you
want
to
report
it.
So
it
looks
the
same
on
on
both
platforms.
I
think
that
might
be
helpful
so
that
we're
not
looking
at
a
you
know,
one
that's
a
excel
spreadsheet
and
the
other
one.
That
is
a
word
document.
A
I
think
that
that
has
everything
just
so
we're
looking
at
everything
uh
the
same,
I
think
it
they
both
give
great
information,
but
um
I
think
each
of
your
different
divisions
can
maybe
uh
put
into
the
expl
excel
spreadsheet
form,
which
I
think
was
a
little
bit
easier
for
us
to
read
and
get
through
and
unless
anybody
else
has
any
other
ideas.
But
I
thought
that
was
the
easiest
thing
to
read
and
provided
information
and
um
sort
of
done
the
same
way.
A
D
Mr
chair,
that
that
would
leave
out
quite
a
bit
of
the
information
that
we
provided
since
a
lot
of
our
activities
for
safety
were
around
creating
covert
safe
workspaces,
creating
procedures,
um
and
so
I
don't
know
it
seems
like
that.
You
really
just
want
to
focus
on
the
training
from
here
on
out.
I
think,
maybe
that
is
the
message.
A
That's
what
I'd
like
to
focus
on?
I
don't
know
if
anyone
has
something
different
to
that
they
want
to
look
at.
But
that's
the
important
thing
to
me
is
that
we're
doing
the
trainings
who's
doing
them
um
and
that
they're
actually
being
done
the
employees
are
actually
getting
the
training.
Okay.
Does
anybody
else?
Anyone
else
on
the
committee
have
a
different.
