um
There
are
public
works,
directors,
come
and
go,
city
managers
come
and
go,
elected
officials
come
and
go,
but
it
is
the
core
of
our
city,
employees
that
really
keep
the
city
running,
and
these
are
two
gentlemen,
who've
out
who've
been
here
longer
than
any
of
us
um
and
have
done
just
that,
and
they
not
only
um
are
timeless,
come
on
down
you
guys,
it's
so
fantastic.
I
don't
get
to
see
them
enough
as
it
is.
E
This
is
jude
torres
in
the
front
and
shawn
montoya
behind
him
I'll
say
just
a
few
words
you
guys
if
it's
all
right
and
then
um
director
burnett
will
be
adding
to
this.
um
Not
only
are
they
timeless
and
they
take
care
of
our
facilities
every
single
day,
24
7
really,
but
they
responded
to
the
copic
crisis.
So
jude
taught
us
as
the
custodial
supervisor.
He
led
the
whole
operation
of
fogging
areas,
disinfecting
after
a
positive
covert
result,
keeping
all
the
areas
super
clean
in
our
city,
even
helping
transit
with
some
of
their.
E
You
know,
solutions
and
equipment
and
managing
a
bunch
of
extra
equipment.
We
brought
on
board,
and
so
just
it's
funny,
because
you
don't
think
about
custodial
as
being
a
highly
technical
area,
but
jude
has
his
phd
in
custodial
services
and
he
really
takes
it
seriously
and
does
a
fantastic
job,
um
and
I've
worked
with
both
of
these
gentlemen,
since
I
got
here
four
years
ago-
and
they
preceded
me
long
before
that
and
then
sean
montoya
has
led
the
maintenance
team,
which
is
a
big
job.
E
We
have
a
hundred
buildings
at
the
city,
they're
all
aged
the
hvac
is
old,
the
roofs
are
terrible,
the
windows
are
terrible
and
and
they
keep
them
running,
uncomfortable
on
a
daily
basis
and
have
gotten
more
and
more
proactive
and
sean
has
ridden
through
uh
division.
Director
changes
some
pretty
big
organizational
structural
changes
on
his
team.
I
think
that
are
going
to
really
make
a
positive
difference
and
just
really
appreciate
both
of
your
guys's
work
and
your
commitment
to
the
city.
A
Thank
you
very
much
uh
councillor
rivera
counselor,
our
chairman
rivera
counselors.
uh
Thank
you
very
much
for
uh
allowing
us
this
time
tonight.
I
really
can't
add
much
to
what
regina's
already
said
um
other
than
I
think
the
facilities
division
and
probably
a
lot
of
other
divisions
throughout
the
city.
A
We
have
a
lot
of
employees
who
are
incredibly
knowledgeable
and
competent
and
dedicated,
who
are
often
working
behind
the
scenes
and
don't
often
get
the
acknowledgement
or
the
recognition
that
they
deserve,
and
I
really
appreciate
the
opportunity
to
be
able
to
take
a
moment
to
recognize
mr
torres
and
mr
montoya,
um
I
think,
what's
probably
best
at
this
point,
is
to
give
each
of
them
a
minute
to
introduce
them
to
themselves
to
you
and
give
you
an
opportunity
to
ask
them
any
questions.
If
you
have
any
and
again,
thank
you
very
much
with
that
I'll.
G
So
I
credit
a
lot
of
my
knowledge
through
mentors
that
have
helped
me
succeed
in
what
I
do.
Also
I
work
with
a
great
team.
That's
one
thing
that
makes
a
good
leader
is
a
great
team.
You
can't
lead
a
team
and
you
can
lead
a
horse
water,
but
you
can
make
them
drink
so,
but
I
think
when
you
create
a
team,
it's
all
about
values.
G
G
I
also
try
to
stay
on
top
of
the
most
um
newer
things
of
how
we
do
things
in
the
custodial
business
so
uh
like
when
kovit
hit
um
the
craze
for
electrostatic
disinfecting,
but
I
already
had
machines
and
they
were
back
ordered
for
months
and
months
and
months,
but
we
already
had
the
equipment
so
we're
able
to
provide
those
services.
But
again
I
try
to
stay
on
top
of
what
I
do.
I
try
to
perfect
it.
So
that's
part.
G
D
Mr
chair
dude
how's
it
going
good
nice
to
see
you.
um
You
know
again,
thank
you
for
your
years
of
service
with
the
city,
and
I
know
a
lot
of
times.
It's
not
easy
to
please
everybody
when
you're
getting
calls
left
and
right
to
accommodate
so
many
different
things,
but
once
again,
yeah.
Thank
you
for
your
years
of
service
with
the
city
and
appreciate
all
that
you
guys
do.
Thank.
B
Yeah
I
like
that
mr
toad
is
uh
you
know
being
going
through.
Covet
was
difficult
for
everybody,
I'm
sure
for
you
and
your
staff
as
well.
So
the
fact
that
you
were
able
to
to
work
through
that
and
do
what
you
needed
to
do
to
make
sure
that
everyone
was
taken
care
of
a
big
salute
to
you
and
your
staff,
and
I
love
to
hear
a
supervisor
talk
about
having
a
great
team
because
there's
nothing
more
important.
B
G
G
When
I
first
came
to
the
city,
it
wasn't
the
greatest
team,
um
but,
like
I
said,
some
of
the
main
values
is
environment,
so
I
had
to
make
the
tough
decisions
to
weed
out
some
of
the
bad
apples
which
ruins
the
whole
bunch,
but
by
improving
the
environment,
the
staff
got
better
and
more
comfortable
and
trust
and
so
forth.
So
that
was
a
key
part
to
our
success
and
I
have
a
great
team
now
I
depend
on
them.
They
they
make
me
look
good
and
in
return.
G
B
B
G
B
F
Welcome
good
evening
mr
tonsille
rivera
and
members
of
the
committee,
thanks
for
having
me
sean
montoya
facilities,
maintenance
manager
uh
started
here
11
years
ago,
as
an
emergency
higher
electrician
then
got
in
as
the
mechanical
structural
supervisor.
I
have
now
been
blessed
with
the
opportunity
to
manage
the
whole
facility's
maintenance
section.
So
it's
been.
It's
been
nice
very,
very
grateful
to
be
here.
Like
james
says,
we've
got
a
great
team.
F
G
F
And
glad
to
be
here,
regina
mentioned
the
infrastructure
of
the
old
buildings
we
have.
It
is
a
challenge.
It
was
something
that
was
very
gray
area
when
I
first
started
here
we're
too
sure
on
what
they
were
supposed
to
do
and
how
to
do
this,
so
we've
improved
the
efficiencies
of
that
and
with
the
support.
G
F
G
F
C
C
F
H
Thank
you,
mr
chair,
and
thank
you,
mr
torres
and
mr
montoya
for
being
here.
um
I
can
see
the
pride
uh
that
you
have
in
your
jobs
and
uh
I
just
think
it's
fabulous
that
you
took
the
time
to
come
and
tell
us
about
what
you
do
um
with
covid.
We
haven't
been
able
to
get
out
to
see
many
of
the
city's
employees,
and
so
it's
a
special
treat
for
us
to
have
you
both
here
talking
about
what
you
do
talking
about
your
teams
and
just
congratulations
and
you
know
you're
really
appreciated.
So.
Thank
you.
I
H
I
H
I
Well,
and
it's
more
times
than
not
as
councillor
mental
work
said,
we
don't
get
to
see
you
guys
it's
uh
and
hopefully
bring
in
your
colleagues
bring
in
your
staff,
sam,
regina
uh
everybody.
We
need
to
recognize
you
guys
as
a
counselor
travis
said
you're.
What
makes
the
city
function
and
without
you
guys,
you
know.
If
half
your
team
doesn't
show
up,
the
work
doesn't
get
done
and
it's
just
things
can
be
a
mess
for
a
month,
and
so
it's
sometimes
a
thankless
job.
I
B
B
C
C
B
E
um
Thank
you
chairman.
um
Yes,
actually,
I
do
have
one
matter
um
to
make
people
aware
of
uh
they're
a
sinkhole
developed
today
on
guadalupe
street
and
the
road
is
closed
right
now.
The
contractor
gm
emulsion
is
heading
that
way
and
they
will
be
working
through
the
night
to
assess
the
cause
of
the
sinkhole
and
then
to
address
it
as
quickly
as
we
can.
B
B
Matters
from
the
committee
uh
matters
from
the
chair,
um
so
um
either
director
wheeler
director
jones.
Maybe
we
could
come
up
with
a
certificate
program
from
the
committee
that
everyone
on
the
committee
could
sign
when
we
have
recognitions
like
this,
and
if
we
can
do
that
and
get
a
late
certificate
to
the
two
gentlemen
that
were
here
this
evening,
that
would
be
great
and.
A
E
Thank
you
so
much
chairman,
I
was
actually
planning
to
steal
the
next
one,
but
I'll
give
you
two
after
that
for
um
felipe
trujillo
who's,
our
superintendent
of
streets,
who's,
the
one
who
makes
sure
that
the
roads
are
clear
in
the
morning
when
you
wake
up
and
that
the
sinkholes
get
filled,
24,
7.
um
and
also
uh
jose
lerma
who's,
been
our
one-man
signal
shop
for
over
a
year
now,
um
and
so
it's
kind
of
that
middle
level,
management
that
is
so
valuable
to
the
city
right.
They
know
everything
about.
E
What's
underneath
the
ground
and
and
the
technical
skills-
and
you
know,
sean
montoya
is
a
licensed
electrician,
which
has
been
really
hard
for
the
city
to
hold
on
to
so
he
did
just
receive
a
promotion
to
be
manager
which
was
important
that
bumped
all
his
uh
sort
of
journeymen
under
him
up
a
little
bit
and
gave
them
more
responsibility,
and
so
we're
really
trying
to
cultivate
and
value
that
level
of
leadership
in
our
city.
That's
so
important,
so
we'd
love
to
bring
more
to
you
and
we'll
definitely
work
on
the
certificate.
