A
A
A
B
Good
morning
and
thank
everybody
for
being
here
to
this
day
on
our
ceremonial
day,
we
will
not
be
having
councilman
carlson
here
today,
neither
will
be
having
councilman
vieira.
They
had
some
other
business
that
they
had
to
attend
to.
Can
we
all
please
rise
for
a
moment
of
silence.
D
E
B
Council
members,
since
councilman
vieira
is
not
going
to
be
here,
he
asked
that
the
presentation
to
colonel
reyes
be
postponed
until
a
a
future
date
when
he
returns
the
move
motion
made
by
councilman
good
second
by
councilman
matascalco,
all
in
favor
any
opposed.
C
C
G
He
was
awarded
this
award
for
not
showing
up
for
work
but
for
doing
what
he
did
when
he
showed
up
for
work
and
it's
an
honor
to
have
this
award.
You
know
there's
about
1300
officers
about
and
he's
one
that
got
one
in
12
12
months
a
year.
So
when
you
figure
that
out,
you
have
to
do
something
above
and
beyond
the
call
of
duty
to
have
this
honor
be
stowed
on
yourself.
The
chief
will
now
say
what
officer
maseo
has
done.
H
Good
morning,
council,
mary
o'connor
tampa
police
chief,
I'm
proud
to
present
officer
algenis
maseo,
as
may
22
officer
of
the
month.
I
want
to
tell
you
a
little
bit
about
what
he
does
every
day,
he's
currently
assigned
to
district
2
squad,
202.
H
H
He
believes
one
way
of
doing
this
is
apprehending
violent
criminals
and
recovering
firearms
officer.
Maseo
focuses
his
efforts
daily
in
a
targeted
fashion
by
proactively
conducting
traffic
stops
and
other
proactive
activity
in
the
hot
spots
where
violent
crime
and
the
most
firearms
have
recently
been
noted.
H
He
also
works
very
well
and
closely
with
detectives
and
other
units
to
exchange
intelligence
in
helping
with
the
mission.
His
attack
on
violent
crime
was
proven
successful
on
multiple
occasions.
In
the
past
couple
of
months,
he
has
demonstrated
to
be
an
outstanding
asset
to
the
tampa
police
department,
and
I'm
just
going
to
tell
you
about
a
couple
of
instances.
H
He
observed
a
vehicle
driving
at
a
high
rate
of
speed
through
the
residential
area
and
conducted
a
traffic
stop,
the
driver
was
detained,
a
stolen
firearm
was
in
the
vehicle,
and
the
subject
was
in
possession
of
the
firearm
had
links
to
a
recent
homicide
that
was
only
hours
prior
to
this.
Stop
another
traffic.
Stop
he
did
he
arrested
or
stopped
the
driver
for
a
traffic
violation.
The
driver
admitted
to
having
narcotics
in
the
vehicle
he
searched
the
vehicle
and
another
loaded
firearm
was
located.
The
driver
was
also
a
convicted
felon.
H
H
The
vehicle
search
after
prompting
a
narcotics
investigation
revealed
a
loaded,
40,
caliber,
firearm
and
12
baggies
of
marijuana
weighing
over
50
grams.
The
investigation
revealed
the
driver
was
a
convicted
felon
and
a
bloods
gang
member
officer.
Maseo's
approach
towards
violent
crime
has
helped
our
department
seize
countless
firearms,
narcotics,
stolen
vehicles,
violent
felons
and
more.
More
importantly,.
H
Violence
that
causes
chaos
in
our
community,
in
recognition
of
his
teamwork,
proactive
approach
and
meritorious
actions
and
getting
countless
felons
and
firearms
off
the
street.
I'm
proud
to
present
officer
algenismuseo
he's
been
selected
as
the
tampa
police
department
officer
of
the
month
for
may
of
2022.
G
You
know
chief
officer
myself
as
he's
called
allies,
so
those
were
two
days
of
work.
What
else
have
you
done?
G
It's
an
amazing
thing
when
you
look
at
what
we
in
society
are
giving
you
individuals,
not
only
in
this
city
but
throughout
the
country,
the
responsibility
that
we
lay
on
you
and
the
hardship
on
yourself
and
your
family
and
what
you
do
to
protect
society
from
society
what's
happening
in
this
country
and
really
in
this
world
is
something
that
if
we
had
an
answer
to
it,
I
guess
we
could
solve
it.
But
violent
crime
is
the
number
one
rising
crime
in
the
whole
country,
united
states
of
america.
G
There
are
some
cities
that
in
one
month,
have
more
violent
crime
than
the
city
tampa
has
in
three
years,
and
it's
a
shame
that
these
things
are
going
on,
and
it's
a
shame
that
society
continues
to
use
the
ultimate
choice
of
a
weapon,
a
firearm,
to
kill
somebody
when
you-
and
I
were
kids
you're-
not
you
you're
still
a
young
man,
but
most
of
us
in
this
room,
we'd
have
a
fight.
A
couple
of
punches
were
thrown,
and
that
was
it.
G
You'd
have
breakfast
the
next
morning
with
the
same
individual
you
had
to
fight
with
today.
One
of
those
individuals
would
be
dead
by
gunfire,
but
thank
you
again
for
what
you
do
and
it's
a
pleasure
and
honor
to
have
an
individual
of
your
character
in
these
chambers.
Yes,
sir,
thank
you.
I
appreciate
it.
G
See
where
you
make
all
those
arrests
right,
I'm
only
joking
with
you.
That's
my
middle
name.
Your
dedication
of
service
commit
commitment
to
excellence
going
above
and
beyond
the
call
of
duty.
You
have
chosen
the
mark
of
distinction
of
office
of
the
month,
the
tampa
city
council,
your
peers
and
superiors
would
like
to
commend
you
for
your
dedicated
diligence.
We
recognize
your
teamwork,
your
understanding
of
your
profession
and
commitment
to
the
safety
of
the
city,
congratulations
for
being
officer
of
the
month!
Thank
you,
sir.
D
C
Well,
congratulations,
sir.
First,
thank
you
for
your
service.
Your
sacrifice,
thank
you
to
your
family
for
their
sacrifice,
because
you
put
that
uniform
on
every
day
and
you
put
your
your
life
on
the
line
to
protect
us.
We
appreciate
you
for
what
you
do
and
and
all
your
bravery.
So
congratulations
well
deserved.
The
chief
said
it
all
keep
up
the
great
work,
we're
we're
very
proud
of
you.
You
make
this
city
proud,
and,
and
thank
you
for
your
service
thanks,
councilwoman
hertek.
I
It
sounds
like
you
have
a
phenomenal
instinct
from
everything.
I've
read
and
you
know
just
keep
working
on
that
instinct.
I
think
that's
really
wonderful,
congratulations.
You
have
obviously
found
the
perfect
place
and
we
are
so
lucky
to
have
you.
Thank
you.
J
I
know
I've
seen
your
face
several
times.
Man,
I've
seen
your
face
several
times,
but
all
I
can
say
I
know
what
it
feels
like
to
be
there.
I've
been
there
before.
Congratulations
to
you,
give
it
a
good
word.
Thank
you.
B
Officer
the
first
thing
that
most
of
us
are
asked
are:
how
are
you
going
to
stop
crime?
The
second
thing
we're
asked
is:
how
are
you
going
to
get
the
guns
off
our
streets?
Thank
you
very
much
for
doing
what
you
do.
Thank
you
for
putting
your
life
on
the
line.
Thank
you
for
for
keeping
tampa
safe.
Thank
you
for
being
part
of
the
family
of
tampa.
C
I'm
here
to
present
you
with
this
plaque
for
doing
a
great
job.
D
Pete
brady
couldn't
be
here
today,
so
on
behalf
of
busch
gardens,
I'm
also
presenting
with
a
four
pack
of
tickets
for
bush.
Kids.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
D
Donna
mcbride
with
the
stress
center
officer
masayo.
Thank
you
so
much
for
your
service
and
all
that
you
do
and
and
seriously
laying
your
life
on
the
line.
The
way
you
do
is
above
and
beyond
can
be
described,
so
thank
you
very
much
stay
safe.
The
stress
center
would
like
you
to
have
advocates
to
a
show
of
your
choice.
Thank.
B

Congratulations
and
thank
you
from
the
bottom
of
my
heart.
A
I
have
a
little
glimpse
of
what
you
do,
because
I
went
to
the
citizens
police
academy
and
it
was
scary
and
thrilling
and
and
inspiring
all
at
once
so
you're
an
inspirational
figure.
Thank
you
so
much.
Thank
you.
A
Good
morning,
council,
chief
officer
masayo,
thank
you
very
much
and
congratulations
brian
ford
with
the
buccaneers,
and
we
have
a
tradition
at
one
buck.
Anybody
that
goes
over
and
above
gets
a
game
ball
and
hearing
your
bio.
You
go
over
and
above
so
thank
you
and
your
family
for
all
your
sacrifice.
E
Good
morning,
miranda
hilton
with
steps
towing.
This
is
my
first
time
doing
this,
so
I
hope
I
do
it
right,
but
congratulations
and
on
behalf
of
todd,
steph
and
steps
towing,
we're
I'm
privileged
to

your
closest
friends
or
family.
So
congratulations
and
thank
you
for
all.
You
do.
G
E
D
A
So
I
brought
an
assistant
with
me
today.
I
see
I
have
a
couple
other
things
for
you
here,
I'm
steve
michelini,
representing
a
couple:
restaurants,
I'd
like
to
honor
you
for
your
dedication
and
service,
the
chicho's
restaurant
group,
we're
going
to
provide
you
with
a
50
gift.
Certificates
enjoy
yourself
at
any
one
of
their
restaurants
on
behalf
of
bella
brava,
which
is
in
the
midtown
area
of
tampa
they're,
providing
you
with
a
hundred
dollar
gift
certificate.
A
G
No,
I
I
was
thinking
of
something
to
do
for
you
and
I'm
going
to
ask
some
friends
of
mine
who
breed
racehorses.
Maybe
one
named
traffic
stop
and
the
other
one
under
arrest
would
win
the
kentucky
derby,
I'm
going
to
ask
them
to
have
a
folding
season
around
the
corner,
so
there's
a
possibility
that
you
see
two
horses
running
in
the
future
under
arrest
and
traffic
stop
so
named
after
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
very
much
everything
you
do
on
a
daily
basis.
G
J
Morning,
sir,
let
me
let
me
say
thank
you
for
the
work
that
your
organization
has
been
doing.
Gentlemen,
the
the
buccaneers
and
jay
bell
have
been
doing
a
lot
of
work
in
our
city
with
our
recreation
department
and
some
of
our
parks.
We
say
they
need
a
lot
of
work,
so
I
want
to
personally
thank
you
for
being
in
my
district.
You've
done
grant
park,
you've
done
holland
pines
this
past
weekend,
and
I
can
tell
you
the
kids
over
there
loving
what
they
saw.
J
Having
the
players
come
out
there,
the
people,
the
volunteers
from
all
surroundings,
coming
out
working,
helping
putting
that
part
together
in
less
than
a
day,
and
I
can
tell
you-
I
went
over
there
and
I
can
tell
you
going
in
that
computer
room
looking
at
the
wall,
seeing
the
new
amenities
over
there.
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
personally
as
being
the
council
person
for
that
district
and
what
you
and
the
organization
is
doing
well,.
A
Thank
you
very
much.
It
was
a
great
team
effort
and
jabel,
and
that
was
our
fifth
project
and
thank
you
for
coming
out.
That
was
quite
a
quite
a
week.
It
was
actually
over
a
three
day
period,
but
to
see
those
kids
walk
in
the
door
for
the
first
time
and
see
the
change
in
a
in
a
room
that
they've
been
playing
in
was
all
worth.
C
Good
morning,
fellow
colleagues,
it's
my
honor
today
to
present
aileen
as
he's
getting
comfortable.
C
To
present
this
commendation
to
eileen
rosario,
we
all
know
her
for
her
endless
work
and
dedication
to
the
meetings
everything
that
we've
had
to
deal
with
through
covet
virtual
in
person
convention
center.
Here
downstairs,
you
did
it
all
right
and
you
even
brought
us
candy
sometimes,
so
we
appreciate
the
we
appreciate
that
we
can't
tell
you
how
much
we
appreciate
everything
you've
done.
Thank
you.
I
mean
you
were
there,
you
didn't
miss
a
beat.
C
I
don't
know
how
you
did
it,
but
you
did
it
so,
in
recognition
of
your
superior
skills
in
successfully
orchestrating
all
our
land
use
and
zoning
cases
for
the
past
two
years
at
the
tampa
convention
center.
Here
at
city
hall,
you
organized
the
constituents
that
wanted
to
speak
on
each
of
the
items
and
did
so
with
such
a
plum.
C
We
are
very
grateful
for
your
thoughtfulness,
kindness
and
willingness
to
serve
eileen,
ensure
that
each
and
every
constituent
that
wishes
to
speak
to
city
council
on
the
land
use
case
had
an
opportunity
to
do
so
and
at
the
end
of
the
very
long
and
exhausting
nights
she
remained
cheerful
with
their
charismatic
smile
ending
each
meeting
with.
There
are
no
further
speakers
and
those
are
the
magic
words.
C
E
It's
been
such
a
pleasure
working
with
you
guys
for
the
past
two
years.
I
got
to
know
a
lot
of
you
guys
and
it's
been
always
a
lot
of
fun,
and
I
thank
you
for
always
thinking
of
me
and
keeping
me
in
the
loop
of
things
and
god
told
me
we
had
to
do
this
again.
Don't
forget
me:
okay,
there's
nobody
else
here
to
speak
on
this
item.
J
Goods,
well,
it's
always
a
privilege
to
see
you.
You
still
come
around
and
check
on
us.
We
appreciate
that
you
know
and
again
everybody
knows
eileen
rosario.
J
B
B
I
Thank
you
for
everything
I
just
have
really
enjoyed
working
with
you
over
the
years
and
I
miss
you.
I.
B
G
This
budget
office
is
way
beyond
the
expectation
of
any
office
in
the
whole
state
of
florida.
This
is
not
new.
I
think
you've
received
an
award
like
this
before
and
I
just
want
to
say
congratulations
to
you
and
to
all
your
staff
for
the
diligent
work
that
you
do
on
a
daily
basis
on
an
hourly
basis,
because
things
change
so
quickly
and
especially
when
you
have
a
firestorm
of
different
financing
coming
in
and
the
things
you
have
to
train
to
follow
and
do
instantaneously
that
errors
are
not
allowed.
G
This
is
not
a
baseball
game,
but
you
can
make
an
error.
You
can
never
make
a
mistake
and
that's
the
difference
between
a
great
staff
that
we
have
and
some
mediocre
staff
somewhere
else
again.
Thank
you
very
much
on
behalf
of
all
the
citizens
of
this
council,
we're
very
appreciative
of
the
things
that
you
do
without
the
recognition
that
you
deserve
and
it's
my
honor
and
the
council's
honor
to
present
you
with
this
award
for
the
budget
office
of
the
year.
G
K
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you,
sir.
I
will
do
my
best
to
try
to
live
up
to
those
words.
Thank
you,
council.
Of
course
he
referenced
the
team
behind
me
very
kind
of
you
to
reference.
The
tampa
bay
business
journal
award,
but
I
wouldn't
be
getting
it
if
not
for
these
people
that
you
see
behind
me.
K
We
wouldn't
be
here,
of
course,
without
you
without
the
mayor.
So
once
again
I
genuinely
appreciate
the
faith
and
confidence
you
have
in
us.
As
councilman
miranda
said,
the
gfoa
is
an
international
organization,
independent
third
party.
I
think
we
do
a
great
job.
I've
said
it
before,
but
I'm
a
little
biased,
there's
nothing
like
gfo,
saying
that
the
team
behind
me
is
performing
to
an
outstanding
level
year
in
and
year
out,
and
that's
what
this
award
does.
Thank
you
so
much
councilman
mascot.
C
And
all
you
know
your
team
behind
you,
it's
nothing
but
good
things.
So
we
appreciate
it
because
your
job
is
not
easy.
Everybody
behind
you
what
you
do
I
couldn't
do
we
thank
you
again.
As
I've
mentioned
last
time,
you
got
an
award
which
was
not
too
long
ago.
Yes,
sir,
you
know
I
got
to
work
with
you
and
you
were
chief
of
staff
and
now
you're,
cfo
and
you've
always
been
a
gentleman.
You've
always
done
a
great
job.
You've
always
you've
been
there
you've
been
present.
C
You've
been
responsive,
you've
served
this
community,
I
could
go
on
and
on
but
the
awards
speak
for
themselves.
People
see
it
not
just
us,
but
you
are
appreciated
and
your
entire
team's
efforts
and
work
are
appreciated
by
so
many
in
this
community.
So
keep
up
the
great
work
I
I
know
nothing,
but
good
things
are
gonna.
Keep
on
coming
and
congratulations.
Thank
you
very
kind.
Councilwoman.
I
I
had
the
great
pleasure
of
sitting
down
with
some
of
your
staff
you
and
your
staff
yesterday,
and
I
I'm
just
still
in
awe.
I
think
I
appreciate
how
well
you
keep
this
city
running
and
just
the
knowledge
of
your
staff
was
very
impressive
and
I'm
really
looking
forward
to
working
with
you
more
in
the
future.
But
congratulations,
it's
obviously
a
well
deserved
honor.
Thank
you.
Ma'am
councilman.
J
Goods-
well,
it's
always
great
to
get
on
an
accolade
and
to
get
of
the
year
it's
very
prestigious.
It
shows
that
people
see
that
you're
doing
the
work
and,
like
you
said,
you
have
to
have
a
great
team
to
be
able
to
succeed
that
because
people
are
always
watching
the
money-
yes,
sir
you're
always
watching
the
money,
and
when
you
get
recognized
nationally,
it
shows
that
you're
doing
a
good
job
watching
the
people's
money.
So
we
thank
you
for
your
service
and
your
team.
Thank
you,
sir.
J
B
B
That's
the
first
thing
you
say
we're
doing
this
this
and
oh
by
the
way.
By
doing
this,
we
either
keep
or
exceed
the
credit
rating
we
have.
Now
that
is
the
you
know
it
it.
It
never
gets
tiring
to
hear
that.
Thank
you
for
keeping
our
families
credit
rating
this
high.
Last
month,
we
saw
something
on
our
agenda
item
where
your
team
actually
saved
us
two
million
dollars.
Yes,
sir,
we
don't
talk
about
things
like
that
in
this
city.
We
should
talk
about
it
more.
We.
K
B
G
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
all
of
you.
I
might
ask
the
counselor
just
survive
and
we
do
this
to
a
lot
of
people
that
come
in
and
they
didn't
save
us
two
million
dollars,
I'd
like
for
you
to
come
to
the
mic,
and
just
say
your
name.
Oh
thank
you,
sir.
Your
staff,
I
think
they're
entitled,
because
this
is
a
prestigious
award.
Thank
you
so
much
and
they're
the
ones
that
hold
up
the
whole
system.
D
D
C
So
with
me
today,
as
you
all
know,
jim
bleich,
with
facilities
a
very,
very
familiar
face,
just
like
eileen
they're
with
us
through
the
thick
and
thin
through
the
covet
and
the
back
to
normalcy.
I
guess-
and-
and
here
we
are-
we
appreciate
you
very
much.
You
work
very
closely
with
lisa
edwards,
my
aide
with
our
office
with
everybody.
You
kept
things
smoothly
going
because
really
I
mean
no,
no
hiccups.
C
Often
these
meetings
were
both
long
contentious.
Yet
you
remain
steadfast
in
your
responsibilities.
There
were
times
when
the
room
was
filled
to
capacity,
but
you
managed
it
valiantly
and
with
respect
for
all
of
the
constituents,
and
we
are
very
grateful
for
your
thoughtfulness,
your
kindness
and
willingness
to
serve.
So
it
is
with
great
pleasure.
The
tampa
city
council
presents
you
with
this
commendation
on
this
10th
day
of
may
2022..
A
Thank
you
very
much
council
adrie
sal,
my
my
upper
management
keith,
I'm
just
one
of
many
people
that
were
behind
the
scenes
through
the
beginning
of
this
pandemic,
from
hanging
plexiglass
to
disinfecting
parks
and
rec
community
centers
disinfecting
buildings
to
putting
furniture
up
putting
like
we
made,
we
just
said
putting
signs
up,
taking
signs
down,
putting
new
signs
up
taking
new
signs
down.
So
I'm
just
one
of
many
who
deserve
recognition
and
need
to
be
thought
of
so.
But
thank
you
very
much.
J
I
I
mostly
watched
that
from
home,
but
I
want
to
say
that
it
there
was
no.
There
were
no
hiccups
that
that
we
could
see
as
a
member
of
the
the
public
in
the
community,
and
so
you
know
as
a
as
a
constituent
at
the
time.
Thank
you
so
much
for
everything
you
did
to
make
it
accessible
to
members
of
the
public,
because
I
personally
never
felt
like
I
wasn't
able
to
participate,
and
that
was
the
key.
So
thank
you.
Thank.
B
B
Yeah
again,
you
were
the
first
person
most
of
the
people
saw
downstairs
or
first
person
that
saw
moving
things
around
and
with
the
smile
that
was
on
your
face
and
the
way
you
made
people
feel
that
made
our
job
everybody
in
this
building's
job,
everybody
at
parks
and
rec's
job
easier.
So
thank
you
for
being
the
person
that
you
are.
Thank
you,
sir.
C
So
next
up,
I
have
mr
ray
cuesta,
also
with
facilities.
Again
you
were
there.
You
were
just
like
jim,
just
like
everybody,
we're
very
very
appreciative,
always
very
nice
and
very
patient,
so
in
recognition
of
your
diligence,
commitment,
professionalism
and,
most
importantly,
your
patience
and
facilitating
the
virtual
daytime
city,
council
and
cra
meetings
over
the
past
year.
Every
time
we
had
to
make
changes
either
because
of
covet
capacity,
equipment,
adjustments
or
a
multitude
of
other
reasons,
you
always
calmly
and
succinctly
handled
them.
C
C
D
I
just
want
to
say
it's
a
pleasure
to
serve
the
city
of
tampa.
That's
that's
what
we
get
paid
to
do,
but
it
it
also
comes
from
the
heart
and
thanks
and
kudos
to
jim,
because
he
really
bore
most
of
the
weight
on
this
one
because
he
had
the
morning
shift.
D
But
there
was
times
that
our
shifts
blended
together.
So
thank
you
guys,
councilwoman
her
attack.
I
J
G
G
B
I
I
think
it's
a
prerequisite
for
people
that
work
at
facilities,
that
you
must
be
nice.
B
Every
everybody
that
has
worked
at
facilities
that
has
worked
in
this
building
has
worked
throughout
the
city
of
tampa
during
our
crisis.
That's
the
first
thing
I
always
said:
was
man
they're,
always
so
nice
they're
always
cheering
people
up.
I
thank
you
for
the
work
you
did.
I
thank
you
for
the
work
you're
doing.
J
Council
morning
again
we
have
mr
chris
freeman
here,
one
of
our
code
enforcement
inspectors-
and
I
tell
you,
you
know
it's
different
when
you
know
somebody
who's
given
an
award-
and
I
know
chris
because
I
know
he's
over
the
area
where
my
mother
is
it's
fleming,
our
business,
his
mother.
He
knows
the
community
over
there
and
I
can
tell
you
that
he,
his
eyes
are
always
watching
and
you
don't
have
to
just
call
him
to
tell
him
to
do
something.
J
He'll
come
and
say
I
saw
an
issue
and
we
took
care
of
it
for
you,
that's
what
he
would
do
for
the
community.
You
don't
have
to
try
to
call
me
complaints.
He
would
see
it.
He
would
take
care
of
it.
As
you
know,
a
lot
of
the
neighborhood
associates
were
calling
saying
we
needed
to
recognize
this
gentleman
because
that's
what
they
wanted.
They
wanted
to
show
their
appreciation
to
you.
J
It
just
shows
the
trust
of
the
community
saying
that
hey
they
knew
you
did
a
good
job
for
them
and
they
wanted
this
city
to
really
recognize
you.
That
was
just
a
letter
from
the
mayor
or
chairman,
but
they
wanted
you
to
have
something
to
place
on
your
wall
and
that's
why
I,
I
thought
it
was
robbery
to
make
sure
that
I
did
my
part
as
a
district,
five
councilmember,
knowing
those
neighborhood
associations
what
they
wanted
and
what
they
said.
That's
your
job,
we're
telling
you
what
we
want.
J
We
want
them
publicly
recognized,
so
I'm
making
sure
I
do
my
job
because
they
elected
me
to
do
a
job.
So
I'm
doing
my
job
this
morning
to
say.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
for
the
work
you
did
for
this
community
and
the
work
you're
doing
for
the
city,
so
denver
city,
council
company
president
chris
freed
in
recognition
of
your
dedication
and
diligence
to
activities
with
respect
to
code
enforcement
in
the
civilized
east
hills,
east
neighborhood.
J
The
associates
outline
your
many
efforts
and
resolve
specific
long-staying
problems
that
adversely
impact
the
area
you'll
work
tirelessly
in
taking
exceptional
care
in
the
following
the
florida
statutes
for
code.
When
handling
such
complaints.
However,
the
neighborhood
associates
single
out
your
responses
as
being
instrumental
in
resolving
their
issues.
J
We
complement
you
and
appreciate
your
superior
good
deeds
and
efforts.
Your
exceptional
diligence,
dedication
and
perseverance
describes
what
a
true
public
servant
exemplifies
on
this
day
may
10th
2022.
It
is
a
great
pleasure
to
attend
city
council
president
chris
freeman,
with
accommodation,
appreciate
your
extraordinary
efforts
and
accomplishments
and
wishes
and
wishes
you
continued
success
in
the
future.
Thank
you
so
much
for
your
work.
Yes,
sir.
L
I
will
tell
you
I'm
in
awe:
I've
spent
nearly
30
years
now
in
public
service.
I
spent
25
years
with
the
sheriff's
office
before
I
was
graciously
enough,
given
an
opportunity
by
sal
to
come
work
here.
L
Goods
does
not
remember,
but
in
the
90s
I
was
pushing
criminals
on
the
other
side
of
fowler,
while
he
was
trying
to
push
him
right
back.
He
may
not
remember
that,
but
we've
we've
crossed
paths
in
the
early
90s.
I
have
a
relationship
with
mr
miranda.
We
spent
many
years
together
while
I
worked
off
duty
at
tempe
downs
he'd
come
in
every
morning
to
the
security
office
and,
thank
you
know
thank
us.
Every
day.
L
L
I
tell
you,
I've
been
deputy
the
month,
but
I've
never
shown
or
seen
this
much
appreciation
in
this
room.
I
just
want
to
thank
you.
J
F
So
see
you
when
hi
good
morning,
everyone,
I
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you
counseling
goods
for
this
honor
and
recognition.
You
know,
since
I've
been
in
this
seat,
I
was
sitting
thinking.
I
think
this
is
the
very
first
time
that
we
received
an
accolade
or
recognition
for
code.
Normally,
it's
the
other
way
around
we're
getting
lots,
not
so
many
good
type
of
recognition.
So
I
wanted
to
thank
you
and
thank
the
code
team.
If
you
guys
can
come
up.
F
This
is
just
one
one
piece
of
the
puzzle
that
we
provide
in
providing
quality
government
service.
It
is,
in
fact,
a
team
effort
and
for
the
recognition
that
chris
is
being
honored
for
is
a
collaborative.
It
was
a
collaborative
effort
not
only
with
code
with
tpd
as
well.
So
I
wanted
to
thank
you
for
honoring
chris.
I
honor
all
of
my
team,
as
well
as
the
work
that
we
do
with
other
departments.
I
just
wanted
to
express
that.
C
I
appreciate
our
tampa
police
officers
and
our
firefighters,
but
code
enforcement,
you're
you're
you're
right
there
you're
patrolling
the
neighborhoods
you're,
getting
complaints,
you're
responding
to
complaints,
I
mean
I
I've
heard
and
seen
so
many
stories
of
what
you've
had
to
deal
with.
It's
not
an
easy
job
and
there's
not
enough
code
enforcement
officers
in
the
city,
because
it's
so
big
and
there's
so
much
to
do
but
you're
out
there
diligently
protecting
our
neighborhoods
monitoring
the
neighborhoods,
correcting
writing
the
wrongs
of
the
things
that
are
reported
and
what
you
see.
C
So
we
can't
thank
you
enough.
I
know
that
you're
overworked
there's
just
a
lot
and
you
do
so
much
and
you
sacrifice
a
lot
and
it's
not
easy,
but
certainly
you
know
you
deserve
this
for
your
service,
everybody
does
I
mean?
That's
again,
you
you
all
the
entire
team
works
so
hard,
but
we
appreciate
you
very
much.
Thank
you,
sir
councilwoman.
B
I
Coming
from
a
neighborhood
perspective,
where
we
worked
a
lot
with
code,
we
do
really
appreciate
neighborhoods
and
neighbors
really
appreciate
everything
that
you
do
and
your
team
does
because
a
lot
of
times
people
don't
know
necessarily
how
to
talk
to
their
neighbors
about
issues,
and
you
help
provide
that
buffer,
and
I
think
that
the
community
needs
that
and
they
really
appreciate
the
work
that
you
do
to
help
them
broker
peace
and
get
people
to
to
follow
the
rules.
So
thank
you.
We
really
appreciate
your
work.
G
Miranda.
Thank
you,
mr
chair.
It's
a
it's
an
honor
for
you
and
all
the
staff.
That's
here
all
the
code
enforcement
offers.
What
you
do
day
in
and
day
out,
however,
the
job
is
getting
tougher
and
tougher
every
year,
as
you
see
now,
the
legislature
has
taken
the
don't
tell
don't
say
who
called,
but
now,
whoever
calls
our
office
in
order
for
them
to
do
something,
the
recipient
of
where
you're
going
to
say
that
there's
something
not
quite
up
to
code
that
you
have
to
knock
on
the
door
and
say
this
doesn't
belong
here.
G
I
never
called
mary
handles
the
call,
so
I
guess
whoever
called
her.
She
just
put
councilman
miranda's
office.
So
the
guy
sends
me
the
thing
saying
that
it's
complied.
So
I
guess,
because
it's
really
hard
for
some
individual
to
call
and
the
ones
that
are
going
to
call
is
not
somebody
that
lives
50
miles
away.
Somebody
lives,
maybe
150
feet
away
or
200
feet
away,
that
they
see
that
there's
a
wrong.
G
That's
got
to
be
put
back
to
being
how
it
was,
and
these
things
are
getting
more
and
more
difficult
and
the
legislature
keeps
passing
these
laws
and
I'm
not
blaming
them
for
passing
laws,
but
they
put
the
burden
not
on
the
perpetrator,
who
did
the
act
but
to
a
neighbor
who
called
to
correct
the
act,
which
I
think
is
just
the
opposite
of
what
should
be
instead
of
telling
the
neighbor.
Thank
you
we're
punishing
that
individual
for
calling
the
city
telling
them
that
there's
something
illegal.
G
That's
happened
in
the
neighborhood
and
that's
what's
wrong
today
in
society,
just
push
it
away,
blame
somebody
when
they're
just
trying
to
fix
something,
that's
wrong.
So
in
this
case
I
think
the
legislature,
the
governor
eric
and
putting
that
into
law.
Thank
you
very
much
reaching
over
what
you
do
and
if
they
want
to
come
after
me
here
I
am
thank
you
very
much.
B
B
You
keep
our
city
safe
and
I
thank
you
for
all
the
work
that
all
of
you
done,
and
I
thank
you
for
the
experiences
that
I
had
as
magistrate
for
code
enforcement
board,
because
I
got
to
see
the
hard
work
that
each
of
you
do
each
and
every
day
officer.
Freeman.
Thank
you
for
your
dedication
to
our
city.
Thank
you

being

family
member.
