Tutorial: Getting Your Hands Dirty with Knative - Bas Tichelaar & Adé Mochtar, Instruqt

Knative is extending Kubernetes with primitives to build, deploy and manage serverless workloads. In this tutorial, which will be guided by experienced consultants, you will learn how to install and use Knative in a real life scenario.You will learn to work with the following components of Knative:- Build: build your source code into a container- Serving: scale on demand and back to zero- Events: subscribe, publish and manage eventsYou will learn- What the benefits are- How to install the components- How to interact with Knative- How Knative will fit into your current environmentThe tutorial uses the Instruqt platform, which will spin up all the required infrastructure. You just have to bring your own laptop with your favorite browser. Pre-requisites- You know how to work with Kubernetes- You are familiar with kubectl and Kubernetes YAML filesIf you would like to participate, please create an account - https://instruqt.com/login. If you need some more experience with Kubernetes, you can start with the Kubernetes tracks at https://instruqt.com/public/topics/getting-started-with-kubernetes. The Knative tracks will be published once the workshop begins. Because we have limited space, you might not be able to attend the workshop.
