From YouTube: September 26th 2022, Ortelius Outreach Meeting
Description
The creation of a central blog document, a push for more blog content, and Hacktoberfest are topics of this Outreach meeting.
A
A
So
go
ahead
and
welcome
everybody
to
September
26th
ortelius
Outreach
meeting
so
go
ahead
and
sign
in
so
just
from
I.
Just
copied
up
the
topics
from
our
last
meeting
so
devops
world
is
this
week.
A
A
A
Well,
the
problem
is
the
way
the
flights
for
her
talk
would
be.
She
could
get
there
before
the
hurricane
does,
but
then
getting
out
is
the
hard
part
and
not
knowing
whether
hotels
are
available
or
anything
like
that.
Even
though
it's
Inland
there
I
think
they're
expecting
like
a
hundred
and
110
mile
an
hour
winds,
inland
in
Orlando.
A
A
A
It's
one
of
those
weird
ones
that
they
decided
to
do
everything
in
person
there's
about
700
people
registered,
including
vendors,
so
that
one's
a
strange
one,
because
we
you
know,
there's
going
to
be
no
no
recorded
sessions,
they're
not
going
to
record
any
of
the
vid.
You
know
the
talks
with
video
and
because
of
that
they
don't
have
any
like
a
hybrid,
where
you
can
watch
online
as
well.
A
And
I've
never
done
this
company,
that's
putting
together.
A
It
looks
like
they
have
been
building
up
the
community
over
time,
so
it
should
be
interesting
to
find
out
how
this
one
goes
and
I.
Don't
know
if
that
one's
a
hybrid
or
not.
A
Oh
back
at
kubecon,
I
believe
Brad.
Mccoy
will
be
that
this
one.
A
And
also
a
few
folks
from
the
tecton
side-
I,
don't
know,
they're
gonna
be
there
and
some
of
the
folks
from
the
CD
events.
So
we're
able
to
reach
out
on
that.
The
tech
strong
women
Tracy
has
started.
Recording
those
sessions.
A
A
So
that
that
one
they're
actually
doing
two
a
month,
so
there's
going
to
be
a
lot
of
good
content
coming
out
of
that.
A
So
even
if
you're,
if
you're,
not
a
woman,
just
make
sure
you
check
out
that
because
they're
they're
really
good
sessions,
I've
been
listening
to
the
recordings
and
they're
they're
really
diverse,
and
they
have
some
interesting
folks
in
there
about
new
technologies
like
the
first
one
was
Tara.
Hernandez
Tara
was
one
of
the
TOC
board
members
that
helped
us
get
artillius
into
the
Linux
foundation
and
CDF.
A
So
Sasha
and
Arvin
you
have
your
Meetup
coming
along
up
here.
Right.
A
Yeah,
so
it's
a
week
after
so
it
won't
be,
won't
be
yeah
it'll,
be
next
week,
not
this
week,
all
right,
I
thought
it
was
this.
A
His
his
it's
gonna
be
the
similar
talk
that
he
did
before.
Did
you
do
your
your
pull
request
yet
against
the
the
documentation
yet.
A
For
your
for
your
repo
with
all
of
the
you
know
how
to
get
everything
set
up.
A
So
put
that
underneath
to
let's
get
that
documentation
merge
for
the
Meetup,
so
we
have
a.
We
can.
B
B
A
There
are
some
weird
kind
things,
but
even
if
we
get
a
majority
of
the
documentation
over
and
just
put
placeholders
saying,
this
is
still
a
work
in
progress.
Okay,.
A
Cool
I'm,
fine
with
that
just
so
we
can,
you
know,
get
the
majority
of
this
stuff,
because
I
think
the
stuff
that
you
and
Arvin
went
over
at
the
beginning
is
really
good,
because
I
I
started
using
that
some
of
the
tools
and
that
one
was
a
top
upgrade.
A
Top
grade
that
was
pretty
cool.
B
B
A
B
A
Because
I
think
we
have
a
section
under
user
contributor,
so
we
have
like
the
user
guide
and
then
we
have
the
contributor
guide
we'll
want
to
make
it
like
a
a
subsection
of
the
contributor
guide.
B
A
Yeah
and
that'll
be
nice,
because
once
we
get
it
into
the
the
main
website
and
the
documentation,
then
we
could
have
people
go.
We
can
throw
some
messages
out
on
Discord
to
ask
people
to
drive
the
commands
and
make
sure
kind
of
give
it
like
a
test
run
to.
A
We
have
everything
that
we
need
in
the
right
order.
There.
B
B
A
So
that
should
be
available
off
of
the
CDF
website.
A
And
there
should
be
a
link
from
the
CDF
website
over
to
the
YouTube
channel
as
part
of
that
Persia,
for
that
Meetup
I'm
gonna
be
working
with
the
jfrog
folks
to
get
that
scheduled
out
and
I,
don't
know
what
else
is
on
the
CDF
media's
to-do
list
other
than
the
the
pursuit
the
hacktoberfest
one
in
the
Persia
one.
A
A
A
So
as
you're
going
around,
please
go
ahead
and
throw
those
links
into
the
Discord
Channel
because
they
definitely
help
you
know
everybody
get
everybody
up
up
to
speed
and
learn
some
new
things.
A
So
those
were
the
main
things
we
have
going
on.
Oh
the
one
thing:
I
have
to
double
check
on,
like
your
documentation,
PR
that
I
don't
know
if
the
Argo
CD
process
that
Brad
set
up
is
working
a
hundred
percent
to
push
out
the
website
changes
automatically.
B
B
A
A
Because
I
did
see
an
Argo
CD
error,
there's
some.
A
It
has
to
do
with
the
Ingress
coming
in
something
with
the
the
grcp
and
the
Ingress
I
couldn't
quite
follow,
because
I
didn't
set
up
Argo
on
what
was
the
the
trip
up
so
that
we
just
had
to
double
check.
So
what
we'll
need
to
do
is
when
we
do
your
PR
Sasha,
we'll
need
a
watch
and
see
if
it
kicks
off
automatically
or
if
there's
something
hanging
up
that
we
need
to
address
so
part
of
the
problem.
B
A
Okay,
but
that's
the
main
stuff
that
I
had
on
the
list
today,
anybody
else
have
anything.
A
A
So
as
Azure
front
door
is
kind
of
like
a
load
balance,
it's
weird:
it's
like
a
load,
balancer
a
certificate
manager
and
like
a
kind
of
like
a
proxy
system.
So
what
you
end
up
doing?
Is
you
take
your
domain
name
so
like
in
our
case,
it's
like
docs.orgess.io
and
that
domain
name
maps
to
a
CDN?
That's
this
weird
Azure
Edge
host
name,
and
then
you
go
into
Azure
and
inside
a
front
door.
A
You
configure
these
routes,
saying
oh,
if
you're,
if
the
inbound
host
is
Dockside
or
artillius.io,
then
you
route
over
to
the
Stocker
container
in
the
cluster
or
this
service.
Basically
so
that
all
works
great
with
HTTP
stuff
and
from
what
I
understand
what
Brad
was
saying:
there's
something
with
the
grcp
that
because
of
the
filters
and
stuff
they.
B
A
So
the
the
nice
thing
is
remember:
we
used
to
get
these
certificate
errors
on
our
website
in
the
documentation
where
the
certificate
would
expire,
and
you
get
that
SSL
warning
front
door,
fixes
that,
because
Azure
is
automatically
renewing
the
SSL
certificates
for
you.
A
So,
as
we
I
think,
today
is
the
first
day
for
hacktoberfest
registration
on
digital
Ocean
or
it'll,
be
tomorrow,
I
can't
remember
if
it's
the
the
26th
or
27th
for
hacktoberfest,
whether
you're
going
to
be
doing
any
PRS
or
anything
like
that.
We'll
need
to
make
sure
that
before
you
do
your
PR
that
you
are
registered
with
digitalocean,
so
you
get
credit
and
then
we'll
need
the
people,
the
folks
that
are
approving
the
PRS.
You
just
got
to
make
sure
you
tag
the
pr
with
hacktoberfest.
A
So
everybody
gets
credit
I,
don't
know
if
they're
doing
t-shirts
again
we'll
find
out
what
the
story
is
once
once
they
get
the
thing
up
and
running.
A
So
that's
kind
of
where
we're
at
for
for
outreach.
Anybody
else
have
anything
that
I
may
have
missed.
A
So
if
I
could
get
a
couple
of
folks
to
just
make
sure
for
for
hacktoberfest
that
we're
throwing
things
out
there
on
Twitter,
Arvin
I,
don't
know
if
you
could
tweet
about
hacktoberfest
for
us
I
know,
Trace
will
have
her
things
up
and
going
as
part
of
the
the
HootSuite.
A
Yeah
and
then
we'll
just
make
sure
our
Channel,
we
throw
things
out
there
as
well.
B
A
So
it'll
be
next
week,
it'll
kind
of
be
all
hands
on
deck,
for
getting
everybody
going
and
and
started
on
on
the
hacktoberfest
side
and
Arvin.
There
is
the
the
blog
page
that
has
all
the
issues
and
categories
and
stuff
like
that
are
already
done.
So
that's
been
published.
B
A
Yeah
and
what
we'll
do
is
we'll
we'll
do
your
you
guys
get
your
documentation
PR.
A
If
you
can
get
that
done
this
week,
yeah
and
then
we
can
as
soon
as
hacktoberfest
is
officially
going.
We
can
put
that
out
there,
so
it'll
it'll
count
as
a
PR
for
one
of
you,
two.
A
So
the
rules
you
can
register
at
any
time,
starting
today
we're
on
the
GitHub
world
maintainers.
A
B
A
B
B
A
From
why
I
remember
they
do
check
on
the
the
complexity
of
the
PRS
we
we
did
have
in
the
past,
we've
had
some
folks
troll
I'm,
looking
for
mini
PR,
you
know
just
making
bogus
PRS
to
get
the
t-shirts.
A
A
So
what
we'll
do
is
what
is
the
first.
A
B
A
So
what
we'll
need
to
do
is
if
you
set
up
your
PR
by
Friday,
Sasha
and
then
Saturday,
we
could
come
in
and
improve
it
and
merge
it
and
stuff.
A
B
A
You
may
just
need
to
create
a
new
Fork.
B
A
That's
the
easiest
is
just
to
create
a
new
Fork
instead
of
trying
to
get
your
fork
all
up
to
date
with
all
the
updates
and
things
like
that.
A
If
you
don't
have
anything
in
your
repo
that
your
local
Fork,
that
you
carry
about
care
about,
just
go
ahead
and
delete
that
on
and
re-clone
or
re-fork
from
the
our
main
one,
it
just
gives
you
a
quick,
easy
starting
point.
A
And
remember:
we
have
a
couple
repos
for
the
website
and
documentation
and
for
ortelius
itself,
so
things
are
spread
out
across
a
couple
repos,
but
all
the
issues
are
still
in
the
main
or
to
this
repo.
So
just
as
you
get
your
head
back
into
it,
that's
where
things
are
kind
of
located.
B
A
Sounds
good
yep
anything
goes
with
with
hacktoberfest,
we'll
we'll
make
sure
that
the
the
the
changes
look
good
and
we'll
get
everybody
their
hectoberfest
t-shirt
and
or
plant
a
tree
alrighty.
Thank
you,
everybody
and
we'll
talk
to
you
later
see
ya,
cheers.
