From YouTube: October 4, 2022 General Ortelius Meeting
Description
Summary of the Architecture and Outreach committees to the General Ortelus Community
A
A
General
meeting
on
October
4th
go
ahead
and
sign
in
and
we'll
get
together
with
the.
A
So,
on
the
architecture
front,
we
have
hacktoberfest
that
has
started
attack.
A
So
we
have
the
blog
listing
out
there
with
all
the
issues
that
you
can
contribute
to
and
so
make
sure
you
follow
the
process.
It's
not
that
it's
not
too
bad,
go
to
digitalocean
sign
up
with
your
account
under
digitalocean
and
then
do
your
PRS
and
your
PRS.
Even
though
we
have
all
of
our
issues
listed
under
the
main
artillius
repo
you'll
find
like
website
changes,
documentation
changes
are
going
to
be
in
in
different
repos.
A
A
So
on
that
front
anybody
can
the
way
we
have
our
repo
set
up.
Anybody
can
review
and
approve
I'm,
pretty
sure
anybody
can,
if
you
don't
have
to
access
ping
me
on
Discord,
but
we'll
be
able
to
review
and
tag
those
with
hacktoberfest
as
one
of
the
the
labels
prior
to
merging
the
pr
for
to
count
so
make
sure
you
have
that
you
you
do
that
and
I'll
be
watching
out
across
the
repos,
because
I
I
get
notifications
all
the
time.
A
So
that's
what's
happening
in
that
front.
A
And
we
have
everything
from
all
different
levels
of
participation
from
simple
documentation,
changes
to
some
pretty
complex
coding
changes
at
that
level,
so
the
full
full
range
of
things,
including
devops
pieces.
So
we
have
devops
pieces
for
refining
our
our
like
our
our
Google
Cloud
build
and
our
GitHub
actions
at
that
level.
A
To
talk
about
our
database
structure
or
database
ideas.
A
And
the
way
that
we
kind
of
put
the
the
groundwork
in
place,
so
the
idea
is
we're
going
to
create
a
an
an
issue
around
a
specific
piece
of
work
that
needs
to
be
completed.
There
will
be
a
deliverable
associated
with
it,
we'll
estimate
the
amount
of
time
and
then
we're
going
to
go
ahead
and
do
a
kind
of
tag.
The
issue
with
a
bounty,
basically
how
much
we
think
this
is.
You
should
get
paid
for
doing
this
issue.
A
So
that's
going
to
be
where
we're
going
to
kind
of
keep
track
of
where,
when
that
PR,
when
that
issue
turns
into
deliverable
and
then
the
deliverables
merged
on
the
pr
we'll
keep
track
of
the
bounties.
So
we
can
pay
everything
everybody
out
on
that
front
and
then
also
we
have
the
get
up
side
that
we've
been
working
on.
So
there's
changes
on
that
side
as
well.
Around
captain.
A
A
So
they're
they're
handling
the
billing
on
that
front
and
that's
where
our
documentation,
our
website,
are
being
run
under
at
that
level.
I
don't
know
we'll
have
to
play
around
it
with
it,
with
the
hacktoberfest
changes
to
see
if
the
automation
is
still
in
place.
Moving
to
the
new
subscription,
because
some
of
the
weird
subscription
authorizations
for
the
service
accounts
may
not
be
a
hundred
percent,
so
I
have
to
keep
an
eye
on
that.
A
So
that's
like
I
said
we
have
devops
pieces
out
there
that
will
need
to
address
at
that
level
and
then
we
have
our
Outreach
any
questions
on
any
of
the
architecture.
Stuff.
B
So
I
had
sent
you
and
Tracy
Steve
some
thoughts
on
functionality,
support.
A
A
A
C
Okay,
I
mean
that's,
certainly
doable
I
thought
it
married
a
little
bit
of
a
discussion.
First,
though,.
A
I
think
what
your
you're
suggesting
is
spot
on,
so
I
I,
don't
think
for
the
most
part.
We
just
need
to
bring
the
other
folks
up
to
speed
and
have
a
a
wider
discussion.
I
think
sounds.
B
B
C
A
Argo
CD,
okay,
oh
on
on
the
hacktoberfest
Tracy,
did
put
together
a
Blog
with
all
the
issues
and
stuff,
but
we
will
be
adding
issues
as
as
well
during
the
month.
So
if
there's
something
that's
not
on
the
Oktoberfest
Fest
list,
it's
okay
to
work
on.
That's
just
like
a
a
quick
One-Stop
shop
for
people
to
look
for
things
to
work
on,
so
we
will
be
still
having.
A
So
if
you
find
an
issue
that
is
not
tagged
or
not
in
the
list,
it's
still
good
to
work
on
for
hectoberfest
it
doesn't
it's
not
exclusive
and
you'll
still
get
the
it
counting
towards
your
PRS
for
hacktoberfest.
Does
that
make
sense,
foreign.
A
Iran
mute
Tracy.
B
Okay,
yes,
so
Steve
probably
will
have
to
go
on
mute.
So,
yes,
we
have.
We
have.
We
have
a
couple
of
things
happening.
That
tomorrow
is
Arvin
and
Sasha
will
be
doing
a
CDF
Meetup
and
the
topic
will
be
getting
ready
for
hacktoberfest.
Let
me
put
that
in
the
the
invite
in
the
chat.
B
Thank
you
have
it
registered
for
it.
That's
where
you
can.
We
also
have
a
we're
working
on
a
list
of
blogs
that
can
be
done
and
I'm
right
now
trying
to
share
it
with
everybody.
Make
sure
that
everybody
has
it
I
can't
figure
out
how
to
email
it
to
the
group
from
Google
Groups.
What
is
the
email,
Steve
I?
Don't
remember.
B
Yes,
there
it
is
I
should
be
able
to
share
it
with
the
for
everybody
right,
yeah,
all
right
and
then
I'll
put
it
out
there
to
make
sure
you
guys
can
see
it.
B
B
So
here
are
some
ideas.
If
you'd
like
to
add
to
this
list,
he'd
like
to
like
us,
he'd
like
he
wants
to
get
more
involved
and
he
really
likes
to
blog
and
manage
blogging
calendars,
so
he's
going
to
help
us
with
managing
this
type
of
a
a
calendar
for
for
blogs.
Now
for
Oktoberfest,
everybody
is
welcome
to
submit
a
Blog,
so
this
might
be
someplace.
You
could
go
and
say
here's
some
interesting
and
as
far
as
that,
we
might
be
able
to
do.
B
He
has
put
some
Merit
Focus
around
s-bombs
at
the
top
of
the
list
and
devsecops.
So
that
is,
if
you
want
to
get
involved
in
creating
a
Blog.
That
is
where
you
do
it,
and
I
might
do
a
in
a
future.
Maybe
this
coming
week
next
week.
B
What
I
might
need
to
do
is
just
show
everybody
how
to
update
a
blog
or
create
a
blog
which
isn't
terribly
difficult,
but
I
can
make
sure
if
you
want
to
do
blogging,
that
your
environment
is
set
up
to
do
blogs
and
update
the
website,
both,
which
are
a
good
kind
of
first
issues
to
work
on
for
hacktoberfest
was
I.
See
times
in
that
document
was
everybody
else
able
to
get
in.
C
B
Great
great
okay,
so,
let's
start
you
know,
Encore
I,
don't
think
can
make
these
meetings,
but
I
am
working
with
him
on
this
project.
To
get
this
going
and
Simon,
please
I
see
you're,
adding
stuff
I'm
sure
you
have
some
great
ideas
in
terms
of
the.
B
Podcasts
we
might
want
to
start
if
somebody
submits
a
Blog
and
we
we
publish
their
blog
out
on
the
website.
We
might
want
to
coordinate
a
follow-up.
B
Podcast
I
think
that's
an
interesting
way
to
get
folks
who
have
written
something
to
talk
about
it
and
to
get
it
pushed
out,
so
Simon
might
think
about
getting
more
podcasts
done
by
reaching
out
to
people
who
are
contributing
blogs
and
hopefully
we'll
get
a
you
know
a
handful
in
for
hacktoberfest,
and
you
know
if
we
get
four
or
five
blogs,
that's
four
or
five
months
worth
of
of
podcasts
that
we're
doing
once
a
month.
B
Okay,
so
that's
where
we're
at
with
this
ankar
is
also
going
to
help
us
with
the
Visionary
Summit.
We
really
have
to
start
thinking
about
that.
We,
the
Outreach
committee,
has
not
decided
on
the
format
yet
so
I'm
gonna
we're
gonna
push
to
get
that
done
next
week
to
really
sort
out
what
that
needs
to
look
like.
So
we
we
have
some
work
to
do
on
the
Outreach
side,
mainly
Around,
The,
Visionaries,
and
getting
more
blogs,
and
that's
what
we're
up
to.
A
Cool
excellent
Sim
I
noticed
that
there
was
a
new
person
that
was
interested.
A
Were
you
were
you
able
to
get
them?
The
information
that
they
needed?
I
can't
remember
their
name
off.
The
top
of
my
head.
I
had
to
go,
hunt
it
down
I.
B
A
B
Yeah
yeah
and
I
said
that
person
he
is
in
the
ortillas
welcome
email,
so
he's
been
sent
that
information
sign,
welcomed
them.
I
sent
him
that
information
again
and
encouraged
him
to
reach
out
to
you,
and
there
was
another
person
who
I
just
approved,
who
came
on
wanting
to
contribute
by
the
name
of
Praveen
I.
Don't
know
his
last
name
but
I
just
accepted
just
sent
him
that
same
email.
A
Oh
on
that
topic,
I
was
supposed
to
send
in
a
status
report
yesterday
to
xrpl.
I
did
not
get
it
done
so
I'm
going
to
try
to
figure
that
out
this
week,
so
we're
good
to
go.
A
All
right
cool,
just
a
heads
up
kind
of
off
topic,
but
still
important,
tecton
who's
part
of
the
CDF,
is
starting
to
submit
their
graduation
documentation
and
stuff
like
that.
So
looks
like
we
may
have
a
new
project
graduating
here
soon
in
the
CDF
I
they're
they're,
trying
to
get
it
done
before
kubecon,
so
they
can
make
the
announcement
over
there.
A
Anybody
have
any
questions
or
comments
or
anything
else
on
our
list
that
we
we
got
about
10
minutes
that
we
should
take
a
look
at.
C
A
The
the
Titan
graduation
is
the
CDF
Toc
meeting
in
10
minutes,
so
you
can
join,
you
can
go
to
the
CDF
page
and
there
should
be
like
a
way
to
join
that
meeting.
It's
on
Bevy,
so
you
gotta
like
go
accept
the
reservation.
C
10
speakers
is
a
minimum
lens
maximum
length
for
the
speaker,
so
I
I
thought
like
why
they
are
moving
to
the
meter
because
Meetup
is
for
is
difficult
because
you
need
have
to
have
zoom
account
for
yourself
to
organize
it,
but
in
the
cncf
world
we
have
a
recorded
platform
already
available
for
us.
We
would
never
have
to
do
anything
else.
So
that's
really
simple
and
easy.
Easy
process.
B
Yeah
we
have
artillery
set
up
in
Bevy
to
do
that
if
we
want
to
do
any
kind
of
artillius
specific
events,
I,
don't
know
why
I
think
right
now,
I'm
still
being
told
by
Roxanne
to
use
the
to
do
the
CDF
meetups
the
way
I'm
doing
them.
C
Yeah
because
I
think
that
the
difficulty
was
is
like
you
mentioned
a
registration
process
at
the
Meetup
for
the
live
event.
You
need
another
platform
like
you,
do
have
went
to
the
zoom,
you
can
do
the
event
or
the
Google
meet
or
you
can
do
the
Microsoft
team.
So
that's
a
hurdle
for
people
by
using
the
baby
platform.
It's
already
in
there.
You
can
go
there
and
the
event
is
starting
inside
the
battery
blood.
So
that's
the
easy
process.
Otherwise,
you
manage
to
platform
to
manage
the
event.
So
that's
actually
the
hurdle.
A
Yeah
and
there
they
were
they're
going
back
and
forth
on
that
around
the
Bevy.
Initially
they
didn't
have
the
all
the
features
there,
but
I
think
they've
sorted
that
out
now
and
it's
mostly
the
configuration
that
the
CDF
didn't
have
in
place.
A
Yeah
try
this
link
for
the
TOC
invite
on
Bevy,
so
I
just
dropped
it
in
the
chat.
C
Yes,
so
so
I'll
actually
attack
it.
There's
another
good
thing
that
we
utilize
in
this
month.
We
know
there's
a
total
spaces,
but
the
LinkedIn
is
actually
announces
the
LinkedIn
audio
event,
it's
similar
to
Twitter
spaces.
So
I
want
to
utilize
that
platform
to
outreach,
otelius,
activates,
stress
participation,
so
who
will
able
to
join
me
on
the
LinkedIn,
audio
event,
stressey
or
Steve,
or
any
anybody
else.
A
Yeah,
that
sounds
good.
We
just
need
to
figure
out
the
timing
on
that
and
we'll
make
it
happen.
C
A
Yeah
that
can
work
on
Monday.
It
would
be
a
October
10th.
C
C
A
A
And
just
so,
you
know:
don't
forget
that
we
have
our
stream
yard
account
that
we
can.
You
know,
post
multiple
locations
for
our
our
broadcasts.
A
And
I
believe
stream
yard
works
really
well
with
the
LinkedIn.
C
Yes,
absolutely
it's
working
everywhere:
twitch
LinkedIn,
Twitter
yeah,
it's
gonna
work!
Well,
and
we
have
a
Friday.
Is
we
have
a
podcast
with
Ali
Siobhan
from
the
glotto
team?
So
just
finalize
it
so
I
have
a
banner
ready,
I
need
this
picture
and
info
and
he's
telling
me
like.
He
will
forward
all
this
information
today
so
on
the
Friday
I
think
8
PM
my
time
and
we
have
a
podcast
with
the
collateral.
C
A
Or
just
starting
Discord,
either
way,
I'll
pick
it
up
from
there.
A
All
right,
everybody
does
anybody,
have
anything
else
in
the
last
two
minutes.
A
All
right,
thank
you,
everybody
and
we
will
be
in
touch.
