Description
Configuring Docker for local development performance is no longer a mystical art, thanks to a user-friendly tool like DDEV-Local. In this video, we walk you through a first-time setup of Docker, Homebrew, and enabling NFS — plus, we show you how to get started using a Composer-managed Drupal 9 project as an example.

It
supports
explicitly
quite
a
number
of
frameworks
and
cms's,
including
typo3
and
drupal
and
laravel
and
magento.
It's
got
quite
a
quite
quite
a
bit
of
explicit
support,
but
the
the
basics
are
in
there,
even
without
that
stuff.
So
developers
run
a
website
right
on
their
own
computer,
with
almost
no
configuration
of
the
computer
and
they
can
run
multiple
websites
with
completely
different
configurations
all
at
the
same
time
or
you
can
have
them
shut
down
too
you
can
have.

Some
of
these
are
just
showing
you
commands,
showing
you
how
to
use
d-div,
but
we're
going
to
install
homebrew,
which
is
most
people's
favorite
package
manager
on
the
mac.
You
don't
have
to
have
homebrew
to
install
dita.
It's
just
the
nicest
way
and
the
way
that
I
recommend
then
we're
going
to
install
docker
desktop
using
homebrew.

we're
going
to
install
dwevlocal
we're
going
to
enable
nfs
for
performance
and
then
we're
going
to
create
the
simplest
project.
We

project

few
of
the
commands.

get
started

ddev.

step

do
is
install
dev
and

going
to
piggyback
on
to
that
bash
completion,
because
I'm
pretty
much
a
I'm
dependent
on
bash
completion.
If
you
don't
know
what
that
is,
then
you
don't
have
to
do
it,
but
I'm
dependent
on
it
and
the
last
time
I
tried
this
screencast.

if
you're
running
gsh
I'm

dash

csh
you'd
also
want
to
install
csh
completion,
okay,
we
finally
got
it
installed.
Now
you
notice
it
gave
us
a
couple
of
instructions
here.

add

to
your
bash
profile.

copy
that
and

going

add
that.

that
as

reloads
it
whenever
we
had
started
a
new
window.

would

loaded
that
anyway,

live

the

make
cert-install

a
one-time
thing
that
allows

server

be
trusted
by
our
own
browser.

machine

up.

most
machines.

a

good
cache
going
there.

going
to
do
a
ddiv
launch.
